Review 1：Exceptional hotel...amazingly friendly staff, everything perfect! Very clean place, quiet, just everything was perfect for me and my family! Restaurant is fab!!! Food just perfect! Never had better prepared meet...All meals were just so good...mmmmm... Such a friendly, helpful, hardworking people... Me and my family will go there again! Highly recommended!

Review 2：I felt the room could have been a little bit cleaner. The floor felt like it needed to be mopped better and although the toilet was clean, the seat had a few drops were urine had stained it.

Review 3：Staff at the hotel was very pleasant and friendly. Room was very large enabling me to do yoga in the morning :). Room had robes and slippers and the pool was wonderful. Also, the restaurant was delicious and convenient and a good value as well. The location was in a quiet neighborhood within 5 minute walk of the old town center.

Review 4：We were the only guests as it was end of season. Consequently, the service was outstanding. Clean, comfortable, good restaurant, would definitely recommend it.

Review 5：They only show house wine on the menu so we thought that this was all that they had. We noticed that all other guests ordered the house wine until one ordered a bottle. Being in the wine country, they should give a wine list with the menu. Food was very ordinary.

Review 7：Constant bad odour from the sewage system in the room, despite several attempts of the staff to solve the problem. Limited breakfast buffet, some dishes on the menu in the restaurant were not available. The quality of food ranking from very good to very poor. Poor WiFi signal strength in the room. Water surface in the swimming pool covered with dead insects (predominantly wasps) during the first days of our stay, and cleaned only before the arrival of guests of a business party in the hotel. Expecting a tranquil stay, we were surprised with another party in the hotel garden - an extremely loud overnight wedding party going on during the whole night until 5.50 am next morning. We acknowledge the apologies of the hotel management as well as a substantial discount on the price of our stay given; however, we can not rate the hotel better.

Review 8：Outdoor swimming pool. Spacious rooms, modern interior design. Short distance (by car) to beautiful beaches on the Kamenjak peninsula, as well as to Pula.

Review 10：Walls covered with mosquito's and blood. They want to be a hotel but lack the experience to do this adequately. I would describe the hotel as a "wanting-to-be-hotel". Rooms too big, not enough people working there, breakfast consisted of left over Bread and microwaved croissants, cold eggs. Overall a decent try but I would not go back. Too expensive for what you get

Review 15：It is a very quiet, charming and lovely hotel. It is very new and clean. The personal is very friendly. The food is great. Futhermore, it is very close to Medulin, where we took a really good windsurfing course.

Review 16：After Arrival no personnel for check-in available and I had to search them for about 15 minutes; the beds are horrible to sleep in even though they are quite new - the springs hurt terribly; the personnel is the most unfriendly one I have ever met in a Hotel; The breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7AM but was not until 8AM so I left the Hotel without breakfast; check-out took even longer than check-in as again no one was around (I could have left without payment and no one would have noticed); loud Music started at around midnight and woke me up and was ended not even after I called the front desk; I would not recommend to stay at this place and would never ever return again!!!

Review 19：New, contemporary design. Incredibly nice staff, some of whom, I believe, were actually the owners. Amazing food at the restaurant, who knew? We booked it because it is convenient to Pula airport and we could avoid driving in the city.

Review 20：Wifi on the 1st floor was unreliable (owner said he would look into it) and there is still room for improvement in customer service: reception is not always staffed and better information can be given to customers to avoid misunderstandings. The owner reassured us that they will work on this.

Review 24：The hotel was beautiful and very large for a European hotel. Therestaurant was incredible!!!! By far the best meals we had on our entiretrip. Can't recommend it enough.

Review 25：Since it is a new hotel they were sometimes understaffed but seeing that the owner and his son were present everyday, all day, it did not bother us if service took a little bit longer than we were used to. The rooms were always clean and the food was excellent.

Review 26：As a family run hotel and restaurant you could see that they took pride in giving their guests a pleasant stay. The rooms were modern, spacious and well equipped. The location of the hotel is a bit tricky. It is well in range of everything a guest might need but a (rental) car is recommended.

Review 27：The location is not quite perfect. It is ok if you have a car.. from hotel to anywhere (Pula, shopping or beach-Medulin) you are in about 10minutes, to Kamenjak where are the nicest beaches in the area it is about 20min. But if you dont have a car you can only walk to beach in Liznjan for about 20min but it is not the best because of rocky reaf.

Review 28：The hotel is fantastic and the staff very kind. We had a large dog with us with no problem, they treaded us very well. We will definitely return to this hotel, i felt really good there.

Review 29：Breakfast should be served between 7:00-10:00. We came at 8:00 and waited until 8:30 while they prepared the breakfast buffet. Very slowly! even though we were waiting there for half an hour!! They hold the guests passports at the front desk - supposeadly for registration purposes while in fact the registration procces only takes 2 minutes, and they insist on keeping the passports until departure. There is no reasson to hold travelers passports! The hotel is nicely designed, but the area around it is not nice and its very dificult to get to the hotel without GPS due to lack of signs.

Review 34：This beautiful hotel was very clean, quiet, fully funcional and with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts ware excellent. Two big beds in the room, large balcony, free parking, free internet,... Everything was great. We would love to come back and stay again.

Review 35：We spent just a few gorgeous days at Velanera hotel. It is a pieceful place with nice, newly equipped bedrooms and very helpfull, friendly staff. We really enjoyed having breakfasts at the beautifull terrace overlooking swimming pool. Their scrammbled eggs with vegetable were definitely the best we ever had. To rent a bike and make a trip to Kamenjak peninsula with great nature and extraordinary Safari bar is a must.

Review 36：Very friendly guests, always helping us out with the information we needed. Hotel situated in a quiet area, not far away from Pula center or the Adriatic sea. Delicious gastronomic food, prepared with fresh local products. The room was cleaned up every day during our sejour and the personal was at our disposal when needed.

Review 37：It's hard to say that we didn't like something, because hotel was really great. Maybe only a bit over designed for our taste. The lights on the terrace in the evenings are a bit 'cold' and the choice of background (rock) music did not quite fit the ambient of this hotel.

Review 38：It's a fantastic family run hotel, well located for doing bicycle trips in all directions of South Istria, close to the sea, Medulin, Kamenjak and Pula. Breakfast and dinner was just excellent. Owners are very nice. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable.

Review 39：The hotel is very nice, with spacious, clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent, we had to wait for it a bit long, but once it was served it was really good. The location is nice, peaceful, but you would need a car if you want to explore other areas which you definitely need to do when in Istria so it is a good starting point and an excellent place to come back to after day excursions.

Review 41：It is a little out of Pula, but we knew that already, so it wasn't a big issue. The colours of the rooms are scary - too much bright green and purple for me. The reception controlled the heating, and our room was cold until we asked them to turn the heat up. The wifi didn't work in our room because it was 'too far away'. The reception gave us a cable for our laptop, but if you only have mobile devices this could be an issue. The 'free' breakfast was bread and jam - soon rectified easily after we asked for some eggs and cheese also. All up, the bad things were minor and I would still recommend staying.
