Reviews for Bryn Holcombe
Review 1:Bed was too soft for my taste - but that's a matter of personal taste, right? Another guest would love the cushiony pillowy feel. And sheets were delicious!
Review 2:Beautiful house, very nice room, great en-suite bathroom. Overall, a high quality experience.
Review 3:We had a very nice stay. The Bryn Holcombe was everything you expect in a well run B & B. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff and situated in a lovely town close to the coast.
Review 4:The weather
Review 5:We stayed in what was probably the best room with a large ensuite with a free standing roll top bath and separate shower. The bedroom was large with a huge bed (two 3ft beds pushed together). The owner was friendly and always available to address any concerns. (couldn't get the TV to work, using wrong controls). The house is very welcoming and tastfully decorated. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 6:Nothing x

Review 14:Having to get out of the comfy bed :)
Review 15:Perfect location for travel, walking to bars/restaurants. Lovely building and very well presented, polite staff.
Review 16:The only small disappointment was was quality of the bed/mattress. We either had to sleep on the edge or risk falling into the middle.
Review 17:The quality of the room, furnishings (except bed) and bathroom were excellent. Our vegetarian requirement for breakfast was fulfilled. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Had a great experience staying here, glad we did not book into the bog-standard rooms at Premier Inn or Travelodge.
Review 18:Friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Great choice of food for breakfast. Rooms spacious and very comfortable with TV, freeview, hairdryer and wi-fi. Overall a little gem.
Review 19:there is nothing bad to report

Review 21:The location was excellent, being very close to our local family event and in a quiet and pleasant road. The house is a beautiful Victorian detached house, tastefully and comfortably furnished and decorated with appropriate furniture and art works. It has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful without being too familiar.
Review 22:Beautiful house. Lovely friendly staff. Very relaxing and quiet. Later breakfast than most hotels. Very clean and welcoming . It was our second visit.
Review 23:Only one thing which is minor, small cups for tea in room needed to top up a lot .
Review 24:The service was excellent. The owner was very friendly, you had everything that was advertised.Great breakfast.
Review 25:Although breakfast was excellent it was only available between 8.30-9am, as we were staying Saturday to Sunday it made us feel quite rushed and it spoilt the relaxing atmosphere.
Review 26:This is a lovely place to stay very comfortable and clean. Close to everywhere you may want to visit. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it.
Review 27:Room very plain and a bit shabby. Door to en suite didn't stay closed without using bolt. Breakfast adequate
Review 28:Decor of downstairs public rooms lovely
Review 29:We spent our 49th anniversary there and were made to feel very welcome by everyone and even were thoughtful enough to leave us a lovely anniversary card in our room .
Review 30:The room was very clean and comfortable had everything we needed and was a lovely few days away from the hustle and bustle of our family life with all of the grandchildren . thank you to everyone there at Bryn Holcombe.... Vince and Pat Thomas x
Review 31:We have stayed at Bryn Holcombe many times. It's very welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. This accommodation would always be our first choice when visiting this part of Wales.
Review 32:Trying to locate property initially. The house is in a one-way street which complicated matters for first time visitors to Colwyn Bay.
Review 33:Friendly couple and comfortable room.
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:The lady who runs the place, her helpfulness and the 5star breakfast. Trouble is having given such a glowing review we will not be able to get in next time.
Review 36:Couldn't fault it in any way.
Review 37:Warm Welsh welcome, spotlessly clean and delicious, plentiful breakfast. Had wonderful stay and it was superbly situated from which to tour around.
Review 38:The welcome was warm and inviting, the breakfast was cooked to perfection and lots of choice. The bedroom was clean and had storage, we could put our stuff in draws or cupboards instead of living out of a suitcase.
Review 39:The Guest House was absolutely brilliant. Very spacious room and bathroom. The staff could not have been more friendlier or courteous. Breakfast was varied and the food great.
Review 40:We were made very welcome and were able to come and go as we pleased. The whole place was very clean and tidy and the breakfasts were excellent. Would be very happy to recommend Bryn Holcombe to others.
Review 41:soft pillows but that's just me personally and not a minus point for the address.
Review 42:awesome bath tub, excellent shower cubicle, Eira very helpful host, offroad parking, in fact not much I didn't like at all.
Review 43:There was no facility for an evening mean which for a solo traveller is difficult. Hotel was booked for me and I think I would not have chosen it because there was no evening meal. No Weetabix.
Review 44:The comfort of the room and the cleanliness. The staff and their friendliness. Ease of parking.
Review 45:Anything
Review 46:The way in which I was greeted and treated during my stay; very conducive toa chilled time.5 minutes walk to the center of Colwyn Bay and the Sea front
Review 47:Having to leave.
Review 48:Room was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean and bed was utterly comfortable. Breakfast was generously served, beautifully cooked. Wide choice of cereals & fruit. Service efficient and friendly.Excellent value for money.
Review 49:Comfortable and quiet, ideal in every respect. Sympathetically and stylishly modernised, the house, dating from the First World War, is spacious, with an abundance of character features. Attentive, considerate hospitality.
Review 50:We have stayed only for one night which was a shame. Our room was spacious, very clean and smelt lovely. The breakfast was generous with proper coffee. The staff was super friendly and would recommended to anyone for short or long stays!
Review 51:Would have liked to have been within walking distance of more restaurants and facilities. However this was down to my error of identifying where the hotel was based.
Review 52:Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food excellent and high standard of cleanliness
Review 53:The room was beautiful, so clean the bed was comfortable and very big. The bathroom was lovely and clean, the shower was powerful and the bath very comfortable and useful after a day of activities.
Review 54:Only a little thing but didn't like the bread.
Review 55:Very welcoming. Amazing bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely return.
Review 56:We had to come home, and would have loved to have stayed longer !
Review 57:Very friendly. Lovely breakfast. The house is very well decorated, and the bathroom we had was superb. The beach was only a steady 5 mins walk away.
Review 58:Beds a little soft but everyone's taste is different, nothing the wine couldn't fix
Review 59:Everything, room was outstanding, bathroom was amazing, breakfast was the best full breakfast ever, the lady who showed us to our room was helpful in every possible
Review 60:Just a few problems with the tv reception but as we did not stay very long it was not a major problem. The lady of the house soon rectified it.
Review 61:we were not there long but could find no fault at all. The room was warm, clean and comfortable and the breakfast good.
Review 62:A clean, well-appointed, friendly and sympathetically decorated band b. Full English was very good and the whole breakfast offering was of a good quality and offered a wide range.
Review 63:Venue was in good location, not by sea but this really didn't bother us. This is a great stop off for those going further into N. Wales for holidays and to Anglesey. It is also a good place to break a long journey to the ports for those travelling on to Ireland.
Review 64:Very clean, very comfortable, spacious accommodation, everything in top condition, very friendly proprieter. Will use this again when visiting relatives.
Review 65:Having to leave!
Review 66:Large spacious bedroom including the bathroom. Good facilities, friendly & welcoming proprietor. Excellent welsh breakfast to send you on your way. Will look forward to our next visit.
Review 67:My husband and I stayed for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and it was perfect. The bedroom was large with a huge comfy bed and the heating was on all day. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom and was spotless! I wasn't expecting anyone to clean our room as we was only there 2 nights but they did. Plenty breakfast choices. We will definitely be back!
Review 68:Nothing at all.
Review 69:Welcome on arrival. explanation of facilities. Help with finding facilities in Colwyn Bay. Excellent selection of toiletries in bathroom. Tea making facilities excellent. Large TV. Lovely furnishings. A freshly cooked breakfast with choices and plenty of fresh fruit available. When we had to cut our stay short, late evening, due to family illness at home, the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Would stay there in future.
Review 70:the décor in keeping all the original details. The décor complimented the fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable and welcoming. everything was to a very good standard including the breakfast
Review 71:We stayed for three nights in the superior suite and didn't want to leave! The room was spacious and comfortable so much so we were more than happy to stay in and chill out in the room for an evening. The bathroom was fantastic, a real luxury! Breakfast was also diverse, fresh and plentiful. The only minor niggle was that wifi didn't reach our room, but happily we were quite relieved to be Internet free for a while!
Review 72:Great welcome, excellent service, warm friendly staff, room VERY clean, good sized room, appropriately furnished, newly re-fitted bathroom, good quality mattress, lovely breakfast with quality produce.
Review 73:That we were only there for one night!
Review 74:Everything! Booked in late in the evening (23.00) without any problems and had an excellent night's sleep. We stayed in the superior deluxe room, which had a large, spotlessly clean bathroom, decent shower, good towels. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, nice coffee and orange juice. Owner very welcoming and helpful.
Review 75:Nothing, would happily recommend.
Review 76:We stayed in the superior room and it was very nicely decorated, bed was a super king and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with an excellent shower and free standing bath. Breakfast was delicious, piping hot and no waiting around. Very warm welcome from the staff.

Review 80:I have stayed here many times and will do so again whenever I work in this area. The rooms are sparklingly clean and all have plenty of space to work or relax in the evenings. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast with plenty of choice.
Review 81:Spotlessly clean rooms Good wifi connection Nothing is too much trouble Great size rooms - good for working in Good breakfast with plenty of choice
Review 82:Not much to say about negative things about the B&B
Review 83:We were received with a friendly welcome. Very quite surroundings with reasonable parking facilities and the house gave an impression of a old mansion decorated with period outlook with spacious hall and landing. Bedrooms were large with good facilities. Breakfast was traditional English/welsh presented pleasantly by the staff and there were a wide range of choice..
Review 84:Excellent comfortable room - the extra cost of the superior room was well worth it. Good to have two easy chairs - many B&B's only have one. Very large bathroom and the extractor fan cut off quickly. Breakfast food was excellent and owner very friendly and helpful.
Review 85:Local town didn't have much to offer for evening meals, but that's not the fault of the hotel.
Review 86:Breakfast was great and my room and bathroom (suite) was lovely and very clean.
Review 87:It wasn't as much a problem, as being a young couple we wished we were located in a more lively location but overall really happy and was easy to get bus to a more lively llandudno.
Review 88:The B and B was a beautiful home, the staff were very helpful regards to where the best places to go where.
Review 89:Friendly atmosphere, exceptional breakfast, beautifully clean facilities and blessed with good weather. Our room was well appointed, catering to all our needs and requirements and the host and staff charming and helpful.
Review 90:N/A
Review 91:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bryn Holcombe. A convenient and quiet location. Adequate off road parking was appreciated. It is centrally located to the most magnificant tourist spots on the North Wales coastline including Conwy Castle which in our opion had more character and was more interesting than Caenerfon Castle. Our room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate and meticulously prepared. Management were professional and friendly, we received much good advice on the local attractions and even recommended and phoned a nearby hotel to book a table for dinner on our behalf. (We were not disappointed either). We would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending Bryn Holcolme as a preferred accomodation of choice.
Review 92:Nothing.
Review 93:Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit. Comfortable room. Everything I needed for a one night stay. Short walk to the promenade.Convenient for buses running along N.Wales coast.
Review 94:Having stayed only one night, we had a very comfortable room and paid slightly more for a large en suite bathroom. Excellent breakfast and service. Would highly recommend.
Review 95:Decor and cleanliness, great breakfast. We had a lovely front room with bay window and king bed, very roomy, decorated and furnished very tastefully. The bathroom was as large as the bedroom, with claw foot tub in the center, all fixtures modern but in Victorian style.
Review 96:The bed was not suitable for our backs , it was too soft.
Review 97:Very helpful and assisted us due to late arriving. Good to be able to park the car off the road.
Review 98:Very impressed by the friendliness and warm welcome we recieved. Eira couldn't do enough for us and made sure we were well fed at breakfast, with lots of offers of extra toast and tea or coffee. A good choice of fruit and cereals and a delicous cooked breakfast. We will return to the llandudno and conwy area and will defintley stay here again.
Review 99:Would really benefit from a duvet rather than numerous sheets.
Review 100:Very friendly experienced lady who greeted us. Really nice traditional, style room with good quality fixtures and fittings. Great selection of items on the breakfast menu and cooked how you like it.
Review 101:The B&B isn't not quite well located if you don't have a car which was not a problem for us because we had our car.
Review 102:The staff was so friendly and we felt at home and the breakfast was amazing !!!!
Review 103:When booking this place make sure you get the room with the bath (superior suite). The ornate claw legged bath in the middle of a black & white tiled bathroom gave one the feel of living in decadent times of the early 1900's. The bedroom to match the bathroom housed an enormous bed & elegantly placed decor, pulling back the tall bay curtained windows let a flood of sunlight in, in the morning. A room well worth booking.
Review 104:Finding old snack pack of cheese under wardrobe dated use by june. Finding although clean sheets no duvet or cover just blankets which i think a duvet with clean cover should be mandatory. Buzzing tv and room 9 which is loft room too small. Didnt sleep at all well. I know this place has had excellent reviews so we were quite disappointed and left early before breakfast.
Review 105:Friendly lady owner. Quaint house.
Review 106:On arrival to the B&B it looked wonderful, a quaint building with appeasing features. After being shown to our room by the polite and welcoming staff we were completely overwhelmed at the attention to detail and facilities in the room. We stayed in the superior room and both the bathroom and bedroom were decorated beautifully! Breakfast was also thoroughly enjoyed by all that stayed and we would most definitely without doubt recommend it to all of our friends and will be coming back very soon. Such a comfortable atmosphere and well worth the money that you pay.
Review 107:nothing to dislike
Review 108:first time we have been to bryn holcombe lovely staff first thing we noticed is the cleanliness of the house and our room .great breakfast everything we needed for our 2 day stay also great location just off the A55 definately go again
Review 109:bed in twin bedroom was uncomfortable - new mattress possibly needed.
Review 110:Fabulous breakfast, helpful staff, plenty of parking and close to the promenade and beach. ideal for touring area.
Review 111:Everything about the place was great. The bathroom with roll topped bath - fantastic! Breakfast was first class! everything you could want, and more. Tables perfectly laid out with fresh clean table cloths and everything was so welcoming! We only stayed one night, as we were going to a funeral, and explained this to the owner, who very kindly said we could have an earlier breakfast as we needed to leave early that morning. We would definitely like to return for a longer stay under happier circumstances. A charming place to stay!
Review 112:There was nothing to dislike
Review 113:Everything at Bryn Holcombe was more than we expected the room was large with plenty of space and an added extra was a Bath in the large bathroom.
Review 114:We've stayed here before so knew it was a good place to stay. We stayed in the superior room this time and weren't disappointed. The roll top bath was lovely.
Review 115:The house is actually not close to the beach- we had quite a walk and then could not easily access the beach. It is going to be re-developed, but not yet!
Review 116:great breakfast, clean rooms and bedding, good showers, very friendly and helpful hostess, quiet location Not far from Llandudno and Conwy, where all the action is.
Review 117:Nothing to report here.
Review 118:Welcome was friendly. Room was comfortable with modern and clean en-suite. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. I would recommend this accommodation.
Review 119:blanket on bed and uht ctns milk,
