Reviews for Angel Guesthouse

Review 1:The comfort of the room it had everything in it that you needed and a wonderful breakfast the staff served you with a smile and answered any questions that was asked of them and we will stay again and it had WIFI to.

Review 2:The shower room smelled damp and had black mould on the ceiling. The parking was in a yard which was a bit muddy and after all the rain had puddles, but at least it was off road and safe.

Review 3:The breakfast was excellent, the staff very helpful. The general cleanliness very good. It was in the centre of town with it's own parking and 100 yards from the biggest cafe in Tiverton well worth a visit (best apple cake I ever tasted)

Review 4:Very poor and at most times noWifi, which the children did not like.

Review 5:The breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. Don't know how they do it as it was excellent value for the money.

Review 6:Unfortunately we encountered bad manners of another guest using a mobile phone at breakfast - quite loudly. Perhaps this has never happened before or maybe Chris and Sue might need to put up a 'polite notice'. Whatever, it wasn't their fault and it didn't spoil our stay.

Review 7:The breakfast on both days was great with a good choice and variety of options. The hotel has been given a Lick of paint since our last visit. Chris and Sue were both friendly and helpful.

Review 8:Fantastic friendly helpful couple could not do more for us. We were running from Torquay to Blackpool and they cooked us a delicious breakfast the best we had on the whole trip. They offered to take our bags on to the next stop for us they really do care about all there guests. Thank you.

Review 9:Friendly couple, make you feel welcome and make sure you are all comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - full English cooked to order. Cosy feel. Room was clean, cosy and really enjoyed my stay.

Review 10:A friendly welcome very helpful. Room & facilities very clean, comfy bed. Service & breakfast excellent included locally sourced food. Would highly recommend

Review 11:Bedding a little tired .Impossible to fill kettle from tap so had to fill it a cup at a time.

Review 12:Tiverton, a new place to explore. Enjoyed my day at Knighthayes. Also enjoyed the opportunity of having a massage at the hotel as part of my away treat.

Review 13:The weather. My South African winter is warmer than an English summer.

Review 14:The Angel is a very old building and is an original inn. The architecture is fascinating and the original horse stables are now used as store rooms for cycles etc. It is value for money accommodation and is clean. The breakfasts are wonderful and they even catered for my gluten free diet. The situation of the B&B is in the old original area of Tiverton and has great history with St Peters at the end of the road as well as the castle which dates back to 1116.

Review 15:The television signal was down and I couldn't get wifi in my room so spent the majority of my night bored.

Review 16:Location is ideal, close to Town Centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was fit for purpose for what I needed it for (travelling).

Review 17:Friendly and welcoming hosts. Comfortable and peaceful room with plenty of character. Very good breakfast, including Full English and delicious home-made jam and marmalade.

Review 18:Parking when arriving late was a avoidably complicated.

Review 19:Pleasant, mindful owner. Nice touches throughout; such as black and white angel cruet sets at breakfast!

Review 20:The bed had a slight slant to it and the wifi seemed a bittemperamental, but there is 3g mobile data, so this wasn't amajor concern.

Review 21:The owner was so friendly and helpful. The staff really make stays atB+Bs what they are, so I think this is the most important thing withany b+b stay.

Review 22:Very accommodating host. Nothing was too much trouble. We were away early in the morning - before breakfast and left us a packed lunch in place of breakfast. Very thoughtful and helpful.

Review 23:the beds wear really hard and very uncomfortable never sleep the two night I stay there not good enough very disappointing for £65 for week day and £70 for weekend night also the towels wear very hard and not big enough to wipe in only two towels would never go there again, floor mats wear really dirty and the room not very clean.

Review 24:the breakfast was fine

Review 25:Some basics not covered - soap was empty and left over toiletries in shower

Review 26:Very nice room and breakfast. Extra fan provided due to hot weather. Nice location, parking easy.

Review 27:Chris and Sue were very hospitable and it was a very pleasant two days. Would definitely recommend staying here. Great breakfast. Good location close to town centre

Review 28:Decor and furniture rather dated, lots of stains on bedroom carpet, en suite a bit damp, curtains very thin (take a travel blackout blind if travelling with young children), wobbly bannister posts on stairs

Review 29:Lots of space, big room, fantastic breakfast, good location, friendly hosts

Review 30:Mattress was a bit lumpy, I could feel the springs in my back at night. Shared bathroom isn't ideal.

Review 31:The Breakfast was really nice. The owner was very friendly and made us all a packed lunch because we were up early one morning. There was free parking and free wifi. The place was very clean and tidy.

Review 32:I was making a long journey, setting off late afternoon after a day's work, and wanted a budget price quick overnight halt, arriving after 2200. Management were very accommodating about a late check-in, and again very accommodating when I was delayed by traffic problems. Room was comfortable and breakfast the following morning was very good. Good value overall.

Review 33:I had to leave early in the morning for a competition and a member of staff made me a pack lunch for breakfast so I wouldn't miss out on it. I was so happy as it was a large lunchbox with a variety of food for choice and have never been treated so lovely in hotel before.

Review 34:The only thing I didn't like was that I could access the free wifi but I didn't actually speak to the staff about this so possibly only my issue. This did not ruin my stay in any way.

Review 35:Close to town which was what I needed. Friendly staff with good local knowledge. Breakfast was good local food.

Review 36:Minutes walk of the town centre and local pus and restaurants. Owners very nice and helpful. Breakfast was huge using local bacon , sausages and eggs.

Review 37:Electric shower was too hot or cold, beds for sons too short, Four poster bed creaked and sagged in the middle and not worth the extra cost except that the room was of a reasonable size. Heating was too hot and not able to turn off. Parking 3 spaces only was available but the ground was very rough and not I think secure.

Review 38:Helpful and welcoming approach from Chris and Sue, Breakfast, Parking available

Review 39:Room was a bit cold to be honest apart from that everything was good

Review 40:I liked how friendly and helpful the owners were. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. You can come and go as you please which is great.

Review 48:The bath had seen better days and the bathroom could use a makeover

Review 49:The bed was amazing, the room was lovely. Breakfast was great also. Staff were very nice

Review 50:I didn't sleep well because our room faced a main road and you could hear lorries. The room looked a bit tired and needed a lick of paint.

Review 51:The Angel inn is very central which was great after a long day cycling. Our washing was done overnight which was fantastic. The breakfast was really top notch and the man who ran the guest house couldn't have been more helpful.

Review 52:Bike friendly hostel that doesn't provide anything to lock your bike to. Just put it in the shed and lock the shed, expected better.

Review 53:Free Wifi Excellent Laundry Service Good location close to local supermarket and places for an evening meal Friendly staff Brilliant breakfast

Review 54:Parking spaces not always available near by and the rough ground to rear where there were 4 private spaces for the hotel was awkward to drive over.

Review 55:Poached egg on marmite toast was delicious.

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:The staff were extremely welcoming, very friendly and helpful - even printing out directions for my destination after I left. Room was small but very comfortable - even though it is on the street side of the house, I had an excellent, quiet night's sleep. I chose a town centre location as I needed to be close by the following morning - for £45 including an excellent breakfast this was a bargain!

Review 58:The WiFi had too many steps to get set up on, so I didn't bother.

Review 59:A well situated B&B with a comfy bedroom, friendly staff who were ready for us when we turned up 2 hours early and fine breakfast.

Review 60:The room, the staff, facilities, excellent food, hospitality, location, veiw from my room, wish I could have stayed longer. Mine Hosts miss them already.

Review 61:We were rather disappointed that Tiverton did not have a good choice of restaurants, could do with a few more open in the evening. There was not much that we didn't like about our stay in Tiverton, it is a pretty place with a great assortment of shops and coffee shops

Review 62:Breakfast was great - staff lovely and couldn't do enough for you. A small friendly guest house, a little bit dated, but good value for money. Guest house very central - within walking distance of shops etc. and parking was no problem. Chris and Sue made us feel really welcome.

Review 63:Hotel a little dated in decor - felt like being a student again. Wifi not great in my particular room which was frustrating when trying to do some work in the evening. !

Review 71:Comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent location and staff were knowledgeable and approachable to assist with places to eat. Good quality cooked breakfast included.

Review 72:Poor wifi - wasn't available in my room and even in the dining room it was intermittent and slow

Review 73:Great central location, catered really well for cyclists. Being able to have my washing done was a massive bonus after many days in the saddle! I would've loved to have been able to take advantage of the massages too, but arrived a bit late. Breakfast good, excellent hosts, great value for money
