Reviews for Petrino Suites Hotel

Review 1:The property is located far from a beach; internet access only in the main building - at least the latter can be easily remedied. On the other hand, one goes to such place for a digital detox, but still sometimes a handy connection to the net is needed.

Review 2:The whole concept of the property, i.e. individual cottages, some of the with a private swimming pool (though small, but still); design - a boutique hotel, really beautifully crafted, each single detail was taken care of; the welcome package - a bottle of wine and a fruit salad. Highly recommended.

Review 3:The hotel is mainly on the main road, car noise is a constant companion. Very dirty rooms. Top of the cabinet in the room was covered with finger depth dirt, literally. They just mop the floors and the dirt does not go away but only chances place. There was a hair ball left from previous customers in the bathroom, it was disgusting.

Review 4:Very near the center, good breakfast, big garden.

Review 5:-Very small windows, which makes the room very dark. -Unefficient curtains for morning sun on the bed. -No shower, only bathtube (water allover) -there is wifi at some points only

Review 6:-Beatiful garden -Original dublex loftlike rooms.

Review 7:location (close to a busy road, far from the sea - closest and a small beach is 2 km away!), lot of wasps and mosquitos close to the pool and in the garden, old and quite used children playground, room facilites need refurbishment

Review 8:staff in the restaurant, clean pool

Review 9:Stairs in our cottage were quite steep. Would have been better to have four beds in the apartment rather than the sofa - beds and sofa were quite hard but that's a personal preference. Also A/C downstairs was needed or a fan would have been good.

Review 10:Pool area, staff, breakfast, cleanliness, location was okay - only a 15 minute walk from town, which was needed after all the good food in Afytos! Loved the sister hotels's beach / bar and only a further ten minute walk from the town.

Review 11:The main road the hotel is on is a little noisy. The stone apartments are pretty but basic.

Review 12:The breakfast with many choices was great. Location is good if you have a car as Afitos is a lovely coastal town.

Review 13:The staff needs a lot of improvement, they were polite and nice, but i had a bad experience when calling the reception to ask something or order room service, nobody aswered the call for hours. I had to look for the staff at the reception and the complex itself, unfortunately without success. This happens during the night. I had a room with two floors, sitting area on the ground floor and bedroom on the second. At night when its cold, the bedroom can be heated with the air condition, but the first floor was very cold. They had a separate heater for the first floor, but it did not work, which i believe its controlled remotely. The place had a fireplace which they did not allow us to use, saying they do not have wood.

Review 14:Its a quiet place to relax and rest. The place is build in stone which ia great to keep the place cold during hot summer days. Everything is nicely layed out around the pool, which is close to the rooms, making it extremely comfortable. The interior is decorated in shabby chic, making you feel like you are in some cute little french town.

Review 15:It's very near to the road.

Review 16:The exterior and interior are very impressive. The place is very quiet and calm. You can really relax there... The food and the service were excellent :)

Review 17:The only thing that perhaps lets the place down is its location - it's on the main road next to the Lidl supermarket, and not within very easy walking distance from Afytos town. That being said, the drive is 2mins into town and they provide access to a beach bar which has loungers on a decent beach, so we didn't find it too much of a hinderance.

Review 18:The staff, atmosphere, food and character of this place make it a great choice in Afytos. We had booked a family suite, but were given a junior suite, and found it very comfortable. The rooms are very nicely decorated, but not lavishly appointed (eg. no shampoo provided). Every room has a private balcony, and the grounds are kept beautifully with lovely gardens. The pool area is great with bar, and the food on offer is very good. Breakfast was ideal with good choices (mostly continental, but with some fried eggs and bacon). All-in-all a great stay and would recommend it without hesitation.

Review 19:wifi not working, no water in rooms, location, all in all, too little value for money

Review 20:gorgeous architecture, ok breakfast, friendly staff, good hotel beach (albeit quite several miles from the hotel)

Review 21:We had a double floor room were the bed is on upper gallery. The air conditioner was set right above the bed and it is not advisable to keep it on during the night. On the other hand the air conditioner otherwise have no affect on the gallery temperature because the colder air always goes down on base level. Difficult to sleep, too hot. The bathtub look nice and retro trendy in magazines but as a solution in a small bathroom it only brings the swamp all over so you have to be careful of slipping. No place to put any cosmetics in bathroom, nothing.

Review 22:Nice stone bungalow concept, garden all around, safe and calm. Nice swimming pool and bar for daily leisure.

Review 23:Exercise caution to get back on the main road when there is a lot of traffic

Review 24:Easy parking; nice pool; good breakfast included; friendly and helpful staff

Review 25:Quite isolated and set back from a busy road. By the pool and in the rooms you can forget about the location but if you want to get out and about you would need a car or take taxis as the road is busy and without pavements, if you plan to have a car then this is a good base.

Review 26:Beautiful setting and lovely rooms, very clean. Good food on site and reasonably priced too.

Review 27:Everything was great. The location, the room, the sea,the staff...whatever you need to spend great time!We had booked the hooneymoon package with the candlight dinner and for sure the staff made it something unique! We're looking forward to spend some more time to this unique hotel!!We would like to thank all the staff of the hotel!!!

Review 28:WiFi was terrible, hardly ever worked. Room was full of mosquitoes one night and staff were unable to assist us that night with fly spray so we ended up with mosquito bites all over us in the morning.

Review 29:Nice pool and spacious room.

Review 30:far from the beach no spa and gym in the hotel

Review 31:the stuff was great the swimming pool is very nice perfect for kids as there are nice gardens and play grounds the rooms are very big and comfortable

Review 32:cleanliness - towels, mosquitoes, food, no sea view, slow internet available only by the pool bad wi-fi

Review 33:Accommodation, private pool, room service

Review 34:There was nobody at the reception twice that I wanted to.

Review 35:Wifi kept dropping out

Review 36:Location and staff

Review 37:Shower leaked onto floor because no shower screen and a light didn't work. Also bathroom quite dark

Review 38:The pool and lovely staff

Review 39:No WiFi signal... But who needs it when you're in such a beautiful place?!

Review 40:Incredible grounds, scenery, environment, staff, food!

Review 41:- hard to get to by car. - pretty high prices.

Review 42:- perfect location. - excellent services. - parking on site.

Review 43:The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was great! Try dinner here, it is really great!

Review 44:not close to the beach

Review 45:swimming pool garden food music staff kindness

Review 46:* mosquitos * toilets * shower in the room * far from seaside * needs renovation

Review 47:*staff

Review 48:Super

Review 49:Low wifi signal

Review 50:Beautiful architecture, excellent service, calm

Review 51:The breakfast choice was limited for the price paid for the room. They only offer filter coffee (of poor quality) in the price of the breakfast - Cappuccino is charged extra for and was often cold. They need more than one wait staff throughout the breakfast. The person serving was often overwhelmed with the number of people which resulted in poor serving. The hotel is on the main street which makes it noisy. You can hear the traffic while sitting at the main pool or/and the suite. You need a car to go the beach unless you are willing to walk in the blazing midday sun.

Review 52:Liked the architecture and the feeling of being in a small village. The garden area with the main swimming pool was well done. The interior of our suite, including the bathroom, was very well done. Our suite had a mini private swimming pool with a lovely garden. Excellent for relaxation. The main pool side meals were of good quality and not overpriced.

Review 53:The narrow stairs in our bungalow and some outdated decorations

Review 54:The location, the green park, the food, and the breakfast. Conrats to Maria at the pool bar and the restaurant for being very helpful, polite and kind !!!

Review 55:Friendly staff. Beautifull stone hauses and lovely gardens. Nice swimming pool. The breakfast was very good. The village of Afytos is very nice place.

Review 56:We were there off season and the heater did not heat the whole room properly. We asked for a space heater and they did not have one. They were able to turn on another heater in the room remotely, as if to control the cost of the utilities. It left us uncomfortably cold. Our stay there was mid April.

Review 57:The restaurant was darling and tasty. They left a bottle of wine for us in the room. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was good. They have a cappuccino maker (as long as the staff knew how to use it), but otherwise instant coffee was served. The kids loved the grounds and the pool was beautiful, although the weather was too cold to swim.

Review 58:Nothing bad to say, would be nice with a pool and better prices on coffee etc.

Review 59:White Suites: Simple, no frills, down to earth boutique hotel if you choose the White Suites, which is where we stayed.

Review 60:No WiFi. Nothing special for breakfast. The a/c didn't work thusno way of heating or cooling the room. Arranged an Easter dinner butthen we had to pay for it. No reason to visit, there are so many othercheaper hotels in Chalkidiki with greater relation of money for value

Review 61:There was no internet connection at all, even though free wi-fi was advertised. They explained that it was due to the season start and Easter holididays, but since advertised, it should be provided (and the hotel was fully booked). The breakfast is not served in the room as advertised. Still you can have one with a room service surcharge. No breakfast buffet refill (fried eggs only for early risers).

Review 62:We stayed at the White Suites resort. The location is excellent, right on the beach and with only a short walk to the village. Modern rooms of a comfortable size with a seaview and balcony, which was great. Quiet (no access to children below 16) and suitable for romantic short escapes. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Review 63:False / misleading room description. False / misleading hotel location description. Senior Room description stated; Room with living room with fire place on ground floor and bedroom on upper floor. Reality: One room, no fire place, no upstairs. Hotel not near the beach (by miles). Room was cold.

Review 64:Traditional stone houses. Taverna on site. Ease of access

Review 65:Everything. It felt like our second honeymoon. The staff is great, friendly and always in a good mood. The restaurant is veeery good. As we had booked a "romantic room", we had breakfast in our room, which was very romantic, even with champagne. The private beach and the lime bar are nice.. And the village of Afytos is very cute. Nice for a walk and drink in the evening.

Review 66:They say that sea beach are connected to the hoytel: see beach is available but it is far away with other hotels and the road to go there in the normal hours are impraticabile for the traffic and the size (small) of the roads. Almost impossible to reach the sea. More there is not any shuttle service and you can go all over in many beaches but to reach the hotel beach is not easy, it is very difficult. It is better to inform customer before

Review 67:The green of the garden, the rooms, the swimming pool.

Review 68:That you need a car to get to the beach, and that it is right by the road.

Review 69:Staff were really friendly and helpful. The set-up is nice, with lovely stone houses scattered around the property, lots of trees and flowers and a lovely pool. It is quiet and has a positive energy.

Review 70:I only stayed there for a couple of nights and my room was an offer from Booking.com, plus upon my arrival I 've been upgraded to a more expensive suite, so it was great value for money and I really don't have anything bad to say. Maybe the water wasn't as hot as I would have prefered it during late night, but in the summer I don't believe that's much of a problem. Also, take some measures against mosquitos in such a green place...

Review 71:Friendly, helpfull staff. Smart, private, little houses made of stone, cool, with some nice and cozy furnishing. Beautifully trimmed gardens with various tall trees. Well made breakfast, with some fresh seasonal fruits... Also, Afytos is one of the most beautifull villages of Chalkidiki, which I most certainly recommend.

Review 72:We had a lovely 5 day spring break at Petrino Suites - we felt like family with the hosts. The room was wonderful, clean, and with its own garden and mini pool outside. The garden of the hotel looks like a fairy tale, with a manicured lawn, flowers and trees everywhere, and beautifully made cottages that fit in perfectly. The pool is brand new, clean, and perfectly lit up at night, with a great bar next to it. Breakfast was served in the lawn, with a rich choice for the buffet. The private beach is not next to the hotel, it is part of another hotel owned by the same people, but it is the cleanest, prettiest beach I've seen in Kassandra. To get there, you need a car (3 min drive) or you use their complimentary shuttle during the summer. The hotel location was perfect for exploring Kassandra beaches, while giving you the much needed shade, privacy, and home-away-from-home feeling during the evenings. We loved it - thank you Maria, Evi, Mr. Panayotis, Thasos, and of course, Petros - the talking bird :)

Review 73:I have to specify, that we were in White Suites, associated to Petrino. Therefore the location was perfect, right on the beach. Both hotels are among our favorites. In Petrino we had a villa last summer.

Review 74:The shower in the bathroom. Requires a holder so that the shower head could be held above your head. Also a curtain would prevent the whole bathroom becoming wet.

Review 75:Quiet, peaceful and very friendly staff without being pushy. Good food, overall very relaxing. The stone buildings were in keeping with the surroundings. The pool, if it had been open, was large and would be great in the summer.

Review 76:please, change the **** to *** like it's refered inside the rooms; too old housing that really NEEDS repair; away from the beach; the lack of net at the balcony door allows spiders & even small lizard to crawl inside;

Review 77:friendly staff, excellent service in restaurant & surprizing tasty dishes;

Review 78:Quite far away from the beach, which is not a problem if you have a car. Wifi was rather slow.
