Review 2：Stratos is a nice hotel runned by lovely owners ! Room was very cozy and archictecture and colours of the hotel are beautiful . Breakfast is so good . Missing it already . Two minutes walking from the center and 15 minutes from the beach . I’ll come back for my next stay in Afithos . Definitely !

Review 5：Great location in Athitos, an old fishing town with cobbled streets above a glorious bay with sandy beach and rock pools. A basic but meticulously clean family-run hotel, with smiling, informative, helpful staff. Our three children made good use of the spotless pool on a daily basis. Rooms were serviced daily and towels and bedding changed every other day. Stayed in a family suite on ground floor by the pool which was perfect for us, bigger than I expected with 2 bedrooms, balcony, shower room, separate toilet off the children's room, two TVs, a fridge and good air con.
Review 6：Beautiful hotel, stayed for 4 nights with my husband, my sister and her 15 years old son. The staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful every time we've spoken to them. I drink around 10 espressos per day, so every morning they would open the bar next to the pool before opening time just to make an espresso for me and my sister. The cleanliness of the rooms and around the pool and in the dining area were excellent. Overall, easy 10! Thank you Anastasia, Ratka and everybody from Stratos Hotel for making our holiday wonderful.
Review 7：My friends and I stayed at the Stratos Hotel while attending a wedding in Kassandria and we had a lovely stay. The owners, Anastasia and Stella, were always available on the reception desk to answer our queries and the family suite we stayed in was newly refurbished with air conditioning, mosquito proof doors and a lovely shower room. Continental breakfast was of high quality with variety of meats and cheeses plus cereals, bread and cakes and there was also a choice of 2 hot dishes that varied daily. We will definitely stay at the Stratos again if visiting Afitos, which we hope to do as it was a very picturesque village and only a few minutes walk away from the Stratos Hotel. The 3 local beaches were also only a 15 minute walk and they were all very nice with free sunbeds, provided you brought drinks from their bars (very reasonably priced and not a difficult thing to do in temperatures of around 38 degrees) with free nibbles provided with any alcoholic drink!
Review 8：The staff and family running this toddler-friendly hotel are competent, friendly, and not in your face. The entire property is very well kept - the pool area is immaculate and our room was meticulously cleaned. Convenient location, within walking distance of the pretty village centre and sandy beach. The breakfast buffet features yummy homemade jams, local honey, and little treats like pancakes. We definitely recommend staying here!

Review 18：Not major issues but here are a few pointers- at breakfast which was served until 10:30 we usually arrived about 10am,there was often only scrapings of food left,no traditional tea bags left and sometimes limited bread. We appreciate 10am is a little later but we felt we should still be able to have a full breakfast as those that attended earlier. The loungers round the swimming pool,only 6 or so loungers were material the rest were hard plastic,the days when we had to use the hard plastic ones they were extremely uncomfortable! I would recommend getting some seat pads for these loungers. Unfortunately we had a very noisy inconsiderate family who woke us quite early every morning, however we recognise this was beyond the hotel and probably not a lot they could've done about it!
Review 19：Our stay at the Stratos in August was lovely! Anastasia the Manager spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble,she even arranged a pack up for us as we would be missing breakfast due to our early flight. All in all Stratos is a lovely,friendly and clean hotel in a great location within walking distance to the restaurants/bars and the beach. The pool area is very clean and there is a handy pool bar for drinks and ice creams.

Review 25：It is a very nice and clean hotel. The breakfast is very good, every day you can eat something else, the jams and the homemade sweets are delicious. They even gave one jar with orange sweet when we left the hotel! The pool is clean and my son was really happy to use it every afternoon. We spent a wonderful week here!

Review 27：The only negative is your room key controls your electricity in your room. Keeping camera and laptop batteries charged was a problem as you couldn't charge them once you left your room. A small negative, make sure you have an extra adapter or two and you can keep things charged when you sleep.

The young ladies that run the hotel are very friendly, kind and resourceful - they will gladly give you info and tips for everything you need to know or places you want to visit. Review 71：A slight smell in the toilet, that is, however, typical in Greek small towns. A bit far from the sea, but it's still pretty easy to get to the beach walking down the town's main pedestrian road.

Renovated, spacious, quiet and air-conditioned rooms and a small but clean pool that could prove valuable on hot summer days. Very good breakfast with home-made pies, sweet preserves and jams. The lemon marmalade is reason enough to come back next summer.

Review 81：The people makes the difference! The hotel is a family-run business and the two girls, Antonia and Stella, are amazingly helpful and kind. They assisted us with all the things we asked, they recommended places and things that you cannot find in any guide. Review 82：First of all,we wanna thank Stella for her patience. We asked her many questions and wanted to talk about the region,culture,food,history etc., she tried to answer everything patiently. Moreover Athitos is in the center of Kassandra peninsula and has very traditional architecture also it is historical and restful. In shorti Stratos is one of the best hotels in Athitos. Review 84：I have spent several days at this hotel during August 2013. The staff was very friendly, the cleaning was done daily and the towels were changed every 2 days. The breakfast was more than enough, there were a lot of sweets home made (I tried them all). If I will travel to Afitos in the future I will definitely go back to Stratos.

Review 87：We stay at Stratos hotel for 5 days and we definitely recommend the hotel for any one who want to explore the first peninsula of halkidiki...afitos is in the middle of the pensinsula and easily you can travel at any destination..we visit almost any village but afitos is the most beautiful with great beaches (liosi)..stratos hotel is at a very small distance of the village square and this is the best for a stay at afitos having a walk at night..very clean hotel, the girls are adorable and i look forward to be there again the soonest. :-)
Review 88：Very tiny bathroom (reeeeeally inconvenient). Shower curtain doesn't prevent water from running on the floor at all, and you always end up with a flood. Bad room cleaning — I once killed a mosquito on a bathroom wall, and a bloody stain was left there for a week until we moved out. And no one ever cleaned a toilet. Lack of lighting in both the room and the bathroom. Small useless swimming pool (meant only for kids).
Review 89：The hotel was nice and cozy, and the staff very friendly. Afitos is a charming village with lots of cafes and nice jewellery shops. A walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes, and you have to climb the stairs which would be really hard for old people. But for young ones it'll replace the gym :)

I will come again to this hotel :) just for information : you should have a car if you will have holiday in chalkidiki. because usually there are hills near beaches all in this area, so it is not very possible to walk to the beaches. lyoci beach was just 2 minutes by car and i recommend. Hotel owner anastasia also will recommend )) i also recommend you to go to sani beach club. it is 20-30 minutes by car at the other side of first leg of chalkidiki and in the town named sani, near the marina. great sand, great sea. If you like sandy, calm, clean sea, sani is my first and lyoci is my second favourite. Stratos hotel is also walking distance to restaurants. ask stella and find the the restaurant which cooks homemade food :) i do not remember the name now.

However, if you intent to stay anywhere in Afytos and you didn't come by car, then you should consider renting one locally otherwise might be more difficult to get to the beach (10-15 minutes walking). I suggest you should go by car (5 min) to the blue flag beach of the neighbor city Kalithea, there you will find only white sand, crystal clear and not deep water, nice beach and so on. I would not recommend the beach of Afytos for families with small kids.
Review 97：Everything was clean, towels were changed every day, correct sized room, hotel parking, pool was ok, breakfast good, Wi-Fi was working even in the rooms (with pool view). In few words they are offering exactly what anyone would expect from this hotel category. Another positive aspect is the hotel location which is very close to the center of Afytos (2-3 minutes walking) with shops, restaurants and so on. I loved the old and traditional appearance of Afytos, as much as we've been to other (more commercial) cities in the area, but none of them was like Afytos. Review 117：The management, Anastasia and Stella, were very friendly and totally helpful in every way. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere with rooms overlooking an attractive central quad and pool. Breakfast was very good and of a high quality (not the usual mountains of low grade buffet food that often appear in bigger hotels) and takes place on a shaded front terrace complete with beautiful plants and bougainvillea. The centre of Athitos is only a five minute walk away. I really liked it here.
