Reviews for Kfar Maccabiah Hotel & Suites

Review 1:never we had any one greet us or recognize that we are even around. the car was way out in the mud ( rained) and no one even thought to help us in any way.

Review 2:The staff here were unbelievably, incredibly rude and unhelpful. We had several very difficult interactions.

Review 3:Pools are great, but are closed for cleaning on Mondays, and only one lane of one pool was available to us when the pools were open.

Review 4:- Small parking - Rooms with minor furniture damages (wall/restroom & sliding doors of the shelves which slided on the ground).

Review 5:- Personnel is very nice & polite - Very calm area and nearby centers - Guard at the entrance - 15min driving to Tel Aviv Airport

Review 6:Facility could use face lifting. Could be a great facility if rooms brought up to good 3 or 4 star standards. It would be nice if large parking lot in rear was paved (gets muddy after rain).

Review 7:Breakfast was great. Parking availability appreciated, and bell boys very polite and helpful.

Review 8:We got upgraded to a beautiful, large room. Restaurant was good. We were looking for a hotel close to airport for our early flight and this was perfect.

Review 9:standard room is in a bad need of an overall upgrade to reflect cleanliness and freshness, especially bathroom faucet.

Review 10:Fabulous breakfast. Hot shower. Nice restaurant. Clean and bright lobby. Very friendly concierge!

Review 11:No staff at the reception to answer overseas calls in the morning;

Review 12:Loved the weather!!! 35C and humid; excellent breakfast; wonderful swimming facilities; the tours promoted via the hotel are very good; it was great waking up to the sound of roosters early in the morning; always appreciate balcony (or any window that can be open); and the conference I attended at Bar-Ilan was excellent and Israelis are very friendly and efficient people!!

Review 13:The furniture was a bit banged up (coffee table had sections of the laminated cover broken off). When I checked in, I asked for transport to the hotel and for it to be charged to my card. When I got to the airport, to my dismay, the driver needed 140 shekels. I had to use the driver's phone to arrange for payment against my card on record. This was very embarrassing and potentially problematic as I was not carrying cash.

Review 14:I loved the facility, the room, the restaurant, and the location.

Review 15:property could use some freshening

Review 16:breakfast: outstanding, huge number of choices gym: outstanding location: almost nothing else in that area staff very helpful and friendly

Review 17:The left part hotel is old and needs to be renovated, the right part of hotel is big and spacious.

Review 18:Location near Sheba hospital, if you need to be there, very convenient. The city center and beaches are further away. Breakfast is very good! Restaurant is not, very pricey. Easy to break out for quick visit to Jerusalem. Great sports accomodation, included!

Review 19:We stayed in the new suites the first noghts and the room Was nice. However the room was not well cleaned. There were rest of food below the couch and the sheets were full of stains. Not cleaned...It was old and not so perfectly cleaned. we then went to the normal rooms and the rooms were not nice at all. They are old and the bathroom very awfull. ... The staff was overall not nice.

Review 20:Not much...

Review 21:I made a reservation was assuming 4 star luxury room but it was 2 star room the mattress are may be from 20 years ago very uncomfortable usually in Israel when u reserve a room it comes with a breakfast my reservation wasn't they charged me 20 per person per day and my 4 years old baby 35 dollars per day extra what a rip off I could have gotten much better room for this price wont go again people working so tough they wont give you even one hour extended check out I wont go there again sorry.

Review 22:shower/bath disfunctional and dirty floor, rug, sofa full of black spots room service costs extra whatever you order parking lot is on exposed dirt

Review 23:food wifi room size

Review 24:This hotel is not any closer to the airport than staying in Tel Aviv andthere is nothing to do in Ramat Gan.

Review 25:Very American accommodations - big property, 24/7 hotel desk, multiple restaurants/shops, free parking (in a dirt lot behindthe hotel),

Review 26:Hotel rooms seem dated. One room with a very noisy AC that did not cool the room (in winter!), worn-down carpeting, and 2 single beds put together to make a queen size. Second room shower not working. Staff was more customer-tolerant than customer-friendly. Needed to ask two or three times for coffee, soap and other basics.

Review 27:Location was good for traveling outside of Tel Aviv, but not so convenient for Tel Aviv museums, restaurants and beaches. Free parking was a plus.

Review 28:nothing

Review 29:location (safari park is nearby, not far from everything if you are going by car) room condition - clean and cozy breakfast was not bad very good place for one-night stay before flight

Review 30:Restaurant was a bit rushed as it was closing at 9pm Room a bit spartan

Review 31:Convenient for the airport. Transfer was easy to arrange Restaurant was good Nice grounds

Review 32:Regular room we stayed in had defective faucet aerator, furnishings were dated and not well maintained.

Review 33:Staff, breakfast, lobby appearance, pool for kids, setting, close to Ben Gurion airport. Restaurant chef bent over backwards to accommodate us for dinner.

Review 34:Internet speed could be faster

Review 35:As a business traveller , the proximity to the airport was my mainintention. The hotel satisfied that purpose. Being a business travellerall I need is a wifi free connection at satisfactory speed and a goodbreakfast. Breakfast was excellent and fresh

Review 36:Slow service the first evening, but it was during the shift change, so perhaps can be excused.

Review 37:The hotel looks like it's been recently updated. Everything looks clean and crisp. It's quite elegant inside. I really liked the lounge/bar area - very conducive to a relaxing evening or a casual business meeting/drinks. To me the location was perfect due to easy access to highways since I had a lot of driving to do each day. Not a good choice if you want nightlife or easy access to beach.

Review 38:At the entrance, a guy not so nice, who is responsible for opening the gate. Looked at us as we were terrorists. Every time we got in, the same situation. But this should be usual in Israel at the time. Besides the building looks like a new hotel, it needs an urgent renovation. The rooms and the corridors are not well maintained.

Review 39:A park close to the hotel, which is a nice place to walk.

Review 40:No frills, away from downtown Telaviv and the coffee early morning was not hot!

Review 41:Clean and nice hotel with welcoming staff with good facilities and lobby

Review 42:Building and interior is quite run down already, cleanliness not too good. Very bureaucratic and slow check-in process.

Review 43:Close to the airport, rooms size ok

Review 44:The bed wasn't comfortable

Review 45:freindlystaff

Review 46:Friendliness of staff; good location; good sports facilities especially swimming pool which is open in winter.

Review 47:Rooms need desparate repairs. Price-quality totally not in balance

Review 48:Staff were a bit unfriendly & we were charged by credit card for a taxi that we had already paid for cash on arrival.

Review 49:beware of standard room or suite - too cold and small

Review 50:Nice lobby

Review 51:Rude front desk

Review 52:The best breakfast

Review 53:Next to large park

Review 54:Very comfortable location excellent as family lives in Ramat Chen

Review 55:Breakfast was amazing. Hotel just a little need of repairs, paint etc. Staff extremely helpful. Price of good value.

Review 56:dirty and crowded

Review 57:Room is not clean Air-condition issues

Review 58:Location

Review 59:Service a bit slow in lobby but charming nevertheless.

Review 60:Comfortable, pleasant surroundings, good facilities

Review 61:Staff in bar area; unfriendly Not customer centric Refused to deliver water at some point whilst no supply otherwise would be available

Review 62:Clean

Review 63:Actually had none at all.

Review 64:The room was very comfortable, water was hot, and it had free WiFi.

Review 65:Friendly, helpful staff; good location easy distance from airport; comfortable quiet room; delicious breakfast.

Review 66:room was In serious need of refurbishing, especially floor, sofa and lighting.

Review 67:Clean, close to airport, comfortable!!! Supeeb...highly recommended. Very nice and most pleasant staff.

Review 68:We ordered breakfast on booking.com, but hotel said that we did not and refused us breakfast. Staff not friendly.

Review 69:The mattress on the bed

Review 70:The service in dining and lounge areas is a bit slow.

Review 71:Great variety of food available at breakfast.

Review 72:lazy Kitchen and house cleaning staff. Poor quality food for Israel

Review 73:When cab got to front door, no one came for bag. When leaving, same thing. No one showed me how thermostat works, nor even where it was.

Review 74:Nothing

Review 75:Breakfast reception space rooms excellent facilities

Review 76:Large, spacious rooms, beautiful hotel.

Review 77:Internet went off

Review 78:Very clean and comfy

Review 79:location

Review 80:Upgraded to a suite. Very roomy and comfortable

Review 81:very nice rooms, good service, excellent facilities, excellent breakfast, very nice atmosphere. convenient free parking.

Review 82:There are no comments available for this review

Review 83:Restuarant area needed a good clean finger prints on plastic surfaces, chairs glass etc. Common areas needed a real good paining.

Review 84:It was a quiet location, near the city too.

Review 85:while looking nice in the lobby area, my room 2nd floor, was worn out by use and far from attractive, this hotel requires serious refurbishing to keep 4* rating !

Review 86:excellent breakfast, one of the best ever !

Review 87:Location - nothing much around the hotel of interest. Also meant rather costly taxi trips to anywhere you needed to go - airports, eetc.

Review 88:Large rooms, balconies, well-equipped bathrooms with all conveniences. Very quiet and comfortable. Incredible breakfasts!!The staff always helpful with cabs and transportation.

Review 89:Only close to one restaurant so options were limited for walking. Had to argue at check in because tried to charge me extra for the kids (even though the reservation specifically said they were inckuded) and for breakfast (even though reservation said it was included).

Review 90:Gorgeous grounds, beautiful room with a great view.

Review 91:The fact they screwed up my return booking a week after my first stay, even though I confirmed it in person before I checked out. Ended staying in a better hotel, closer to the airport and a third cheaper. To be fair Booking.com investigated it very promptly

Review 94:1. The room that was given at 2:00 in the morning of 17th May - the door lock was broken. 2. I could not sleep on the bed as the mattress was not stable. The head rest side was damaged so one would slip down towards the head. 3. On calling the front desk, they did not pick up the phone. and I was too tired to leave the room to complain about either of the two problems as I did not wish to leave my luggage unattended. 4. In the morning the room which was given, had hundreds of red small ants. I had to change my room 2 times.

Review 95:The only good thing was that the reservation manager was understanding the next day to give me a small discount for the first night and in addition a better and clean room for the following night.

Review 96:surly wait staff in dining room - were more concerned with religious function going on than with other international guests needs

Review 97:handy to airport, wake up call, taxi on time

Review 98:Be sure to print out the directions before your leave. Our GPS misled us and we got lost. Ramat Gan is a big confusing place if you make a wrong turn.

Review 99:Beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. We regret that we could only stay a couple hours before catching an early morning plane. This is probably the most convenient hotel to the airport.

Review 100:It is not all that convenient to the airport or downtown.

Review 101:Beautiful, comfortable hotel. all amenities. location a bit out of the way and not much a neighborhood. But cabs were easy to get and that made everything accessible.

Review 102:There are many room types, comfort in those I stayed in were good. One room's layout was not for all travellers, as it was the small side of a suite. Other than that all was good.

Review 103:This is a great place. The spa is a comfort, the recreation facilities are nice. The desk staff (especially Rosi) are top notch. I will return again.

Review 104:The cost and distance to the airport

Review 105:This hotel was supposed to be near the airport. It was not not and the cost of travel either way was rather high. My stay was short. I arrived after Shabbatt so the restaurant was on a limited menu because apparently they don't start cooking until the following day. The transportation people were very helpful, but transportation was expensive. I'll try to find a closer airport hotel next time.

Review 106:the staff gave inconsistent information and the hotel information did not jive with what was happening 'on the ground' - very frustrating. parking is very difficult if you have luggage - there is not clear means to accommodate a guest who needs assistance with baggage. and although the hotel upgraded my room to a 'superior' it had a lot of sound coming in from adjacent rooms and had a huge infestation of ants (by the way i put up with the latter much more readily than the former - especially when the noise is coming into the room from the air vents).

Review 107:it had all of the ingredients to be great. the location is good for airport access, but otherwise is isolated.

Review 108:Rooms very noisy. My room was part separated by simple non sound proof door from next door room. Very disturbing.

Review 109:Close to airport. Sport character of the hotel.

Review 110:We were arriving in Israel that evening and faced a long drive so needed a convenient place to overnight before the journey and here it was. We enjoyed our brief stay. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Review 111:price could be a little cheaper, but for the rest it was okay

Review 112:very good central location near the airport, has many sports facilities as is the heart of the maccabi games, very quiet location away from main road.

Review 113:The staff were very unhelpful when difficult and unforeseen circumstances arose. In addition, their info on Bookinging.com indicated that our room would have a balcony which was not the case.

Review 114:The location suited our need, which was to be close to the Tel Hashomer Hospital--within walking distance of the hotel.

Review 115:Terribly organised. We were treated very badly and told to go to the restaurant to eat (we'd paid for dinner) but were then thrown out of this restaurant and sent to the cafeteria to eat dinner which was really awful. We checked in in the afternoon and were kept waiting for ages before being given a key to a very shabby room with twin beds when we had booked a double...........you get the idea...

Review 116:The SPA but beware it costs a lot extra even if you are staying at the hotel you pay the same as the public who are also allowed to use it.

Review 117:Staff is very unhappy and arrogant. Cleaning of rooms is done only until 3 and if u miss it they will not clean the room. Pillows are the worse ever.

Review 118:The kafir hamacabia club.

Review 119:They say (at booking.com page) that thet have airport shuttle - that was THE reason, why we booked this hotel. It is not free, it is 200 NIS / person. So from the airport and return, is more than rental car / week. There is way too much staff doing nothing. No information at breakfast about different kind of foods - staff just standing hands inside pockets... Wrong information about credit card - they did not accept Diners Card. Restaurant was already closed at 9:50 p.m.

Review 120:The bathrooms all have large windows into the bedroom - i don't want to see my wife on the toilet! There is a thin blind but it still lets light into the bedroom whenever anyone is in there. The suite generally was a triumph of "style" over "practicality in a lot of ways. The Restautrant wasn't very good either. p---- water orange juice (you wouldn't think Israel has Ornges coming out of its ears), poor bakery, poorly cooked eggs, poor coffee - I would have expected much better.

Review 121:Difficult to find a hotel restaurant that was open. Restaurant service was slow. Parking was difficult to locate (but we arrived after dark).

Review 122:Rooms were very plush; everything about the room was spacious (we received a free upgrade to a suite). Beds were comfortable. Beautiful lobby area.
