Reviews for Parklands
Review 1:Very central location. Staff very friendly /helpful/attentive. So close to the city centre. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to all my friends.
Review 2:Not enough toast at breakfast! Only had one slice so had to ask for another. Small detail but at £10 I would have expected better.
Review 3:The location and facilities were great for business travel. The food was of a very high quality.
Review 4:This place is a little shabby around the edges and the wifi can be temperamental. The breakfast is expensive (15 pounds). But the garden and park lands setting is just lovely. No where to really relax inside except your room.
Review 5:Good location and free parking. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Fine for travel. Near the shabby side of town for shops though. Just love that they let pets in though. Bonus marks for seeing dogs in the place. Disliked the combined shampoo/conditioner toiletry. Every woman wants separates for this. Great local (but pricey) food. Loved the fresh air from windows that open.
Review 6:Tiny rooms (2 booked ), marketed as 'standard'. Coffees chosen for breakfast (espressos!) charged at extra cost, without prior notification of this charge.
Review 7:Welcome of staff, and decor of hotel.
Review 8:Excellent food, great ambience. Modern but cozy decor, every was clean and in working order. Beautiful garden with direct access to the massive park.
Review 9:I had booked a King size room, but was initially given a small double. I complained and after an argument eventually got the room I paid for. The clerk later apologised and said you won't have to pay for your breakfast (whatever). In the morning a different clerk insisted that I paid for my breakfast! Other issues; The bacon was undercooked at breakfast, and the toilet holder bracket in my room kept falling off the wall.
Review 10:It was quiet, and centrally located close to the railway station.
Review 11:I booked this room for my parents. My dad was looking forward to watching the football in the evening but the TV in the room was not working. When brought to the hotels attention they said there was nothing they could do about it. My dad was very disappointed. There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. I would have expected there to be. So, no TV and no Tea! Not good enough.
Review 12:Constant humming sound then got louder then quieter all during the night, spoke to staff when leaving and told me it was probably the water pump for the rooms above and nothing he could have done anyway! We were offered breakfast at £10 per person on top of price paid or told if we didn't take it then it would be £50 per person on the morning !! Fancy shower but all that came out was a semi decent dribble
Review 13:Location and car parking
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:The hotel is very conveniently situated for the rail station, but yet is quiet and has a very pleasant outlook over South Inch Park. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, but not intrusive.
Review 16:Noisy back room over kitchen and next to train station Unhelpful service at bar Polite but not very friendly
Review 17:Food is excellent Garden and public rooms lovely
Review 18:Comparably minor matters. The hotel's entrance is at the top of a steep drive. The hotel does not have a lift and access to our rooms was up a fairly narrow staircase.
Review 19:The staff were friendly and obliging, particularly as we had a young child with us. The rooms were comfortable and a good size. The food was well served and appetizing. The hotel is in a good position next to the South Inch
Review 20:Very noisy at the back of the hotel, stayed in the tay toom. Was very small/cramped, telly did not work and big damp patch on the roof. Too much money for nothing. Hotel was gloomy and dark
Review 21:Good location, good sized bathroom, had a good nights sleep.
Review 22:small bed room, larger bath, but 3 steps down Address is on a side street, not the street with access to the parking lot. The GPS almost did us in.
Review 23:clean, quiet
Review 24:the bed was far too small, the room was a bit noisy and the restaurant was too pricey
Review 25:the location was ideal for train travellers, the breakfast was good and the bathroom a good size
Review 26:With hotel`s postcode, sat-nav takes you to dead end at rear of hotel. Bar rather dark and lacking in atmosphere. Kitchen extractor fan just outside our bedroom window, very noisy, woke us up in fact.

Review 51:Nothing except the worry of the car park? It's on a slope so I was concerned someone bashed my car doors accidentally to my delight it did not happen.
Review 52:After reading some reviews on other web site I arrived optimistic. I have to say the receiption it's was very welcoming, room was perfect with a large en-suite. For £90 it was good value.
Review 53:Room was quite stuffy, felt like the heating was on all night. The Letham room had a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.
Review 54:Good location, helpful staff, food very good. Lovely outside seating area overlooking park.
Review 55:Staff a little too informal. My single room at rear of hotel looked onto railway station, would have been nice to be told in advance as would not have taken room.
