Reviews for Cross Lane House
Review 1:There was nothing not to like. Andrew was polite ,kind, helpful and informative. The hotel gave a level of service that was above what one would normally expect from any hotel. It was a pleasure to stay
Review 2:Probably not great for kids.
Review 3:In a picture post card setting Parts of this building are over 600 years old, so don't expect level floors or high doorways, it is full of character, and spotlessly clean. Their eye for detail is superb with lots of 'nice touches' The restaurant is wonderful where each meal is an occasion, with a creative inventive menu.
Review 4:Nothing!
Review 5:The owners were lovely, very welcoming. Our room was beautiful. They are very generous with their snacks and wine that they put in your room, free of charge. They think of everything. We got back to our room after dinner and they'd drawn our curtains and put some goodies on the bed, so thoughtful! You are surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Review 16:Everything. The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated, the food is amazing and we were given the warmest welcome. The hotel is situated in a lovely village and there are good walks from the hotel. Two nights just wasn't enough, we will definitely return.
Review 17:The owners Andrew and Max were welcoming and attentive. The rooms both bedrooms and public areas are beautifully maintained. Lots of thoughtful little extras that make the stay special. Food is fabulous - reservation for an evening meal should not be missed ,,, but if you can only stay for breakfast then try the waffles! This is a superb boutique hotel that its owners are clearly proud of - and rightly so. Highly recommend.

Review 50:This is an absolute gem of an hotel. We stayed for two nights in earlyApril and were made to feel so welcome by the owners and staff, who arejustifiably proud of what they offer. Decoration and furnishings are ofhigh quality - that very comfortable and comforting English countrystyle. Lots of thoughtful touches like Nespresso machine in thebedroom, crisp cotton bedding, home cooked biscuits, treats for thedogs etc. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was plentiful. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and were spoilt for choice -everything was well cooked and beautifully presented. As the weatherwas so lovely we were even able to sit outside after dinner in thecovered courtyard and enjoy our coffee, together with our dogs. This isa perfect small hotel and will now be our hotel of choice when we visitthe Minehead area.
Review 51:Home away from home - Extremely well looked after in very comfortable surroundings. The food was excellent quality and a tasty menu to pick from.
Review 52:Nothing worth the mention.
Review 53:Warm welcome with and cake. Lovely room with good quality fixtures and fittings. 1545 built with all mod cons added without destroying original features. Just a top notch bouteque hotel.
Review 54:Being from the countryside ourselves, we didn't like the road and it did keep us awake on a week night, Friday night Saturday morning was much quieter though. Ask for the Ackland Suite as not directly facing the road.
Review 55:We loved the attention to detail, if you needed anything it was not too much trouble. Food was fabulous and the service was second to none. A real gem.
Review 56:Can't believe we almost did not book this place, These guys are underslling online.
Review 57:Stunningly renovated Farm dating back to 14xx. Most friendly and welcoming place we visited in years. Great Food as well.
Review 58:Max and Andrew are the nicest, friendliest hosts you could ever wish for. We spent two wonderful days at their paradise, breathtaking walks starting at the doorstep, coming back at half 4 to find tea and scones waiting... Lovely dining in the evening....Will definitely return and recommend EVERYONE to spend some time here to get away from it all!
Review 59:My wife and I have no negative comments at all.
Review 60:Atmosphere food and welcome was just perfect. Our most relaxing holiday for years. We loved the house and décor. We were so well looked after we really appreciated the quality.
Review 61:Tiny things really...We could have done with a night light - there are no reassuring street lamps in the country, but we coped with the power light from the CD player and alarm clock. Breakfast was 8.15-9.15 we thought later, that a sleep in would have been nice, but probably if we'd have requested a change of time, they'd have done it for us. Cobbled ground up to the house is picturesque but a bit of a pain to walk over.
Review 62:Spacious bedroom, peaceful area with a pretty bridge and hills within walking distance, lots of lovely little touches, flowers, nice smells, comfortable chairs. Felt at home but cared for. An interesting evening meal with exciting tastes. Comfortable bed.
Review 63:not applicable
