Reviews for Suryagarh
Review 1:No yoga as there was no one to take the classes. Swimming pool water very cold not heated. No point in having a pool. Asked for wake up call twice not given. One day nearly missed breakfast. Food expensive.
Review 2:Nice hotel. Very peaceful.
Review 3:Indian dreamland! Just a perfect experience in the desert. Everybody is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome. The hotel is exquisite, not to overloaded, quiet but not empty, you can appreciate a lot of love for detail. Very, very nice.
Review 4:Found the food over priced but considering that food being called for from Jodhpur and Delhi, and keeping the quality standards high... It's understandable.
Review 5:Out of all my travel so far loved the peaceful vibes that I got from this place. Live in the palace and be treated as royalty as well. Mornings with shehnai and birds in the breakfast garden, afternoons with folk song being sung by just one lady and yet heard round the whole Palace and evenings with folk dance revealing the stories of Thar Kings and Queens by Marwar tribe. Massage should be taken by PC, she is really good.
Review 6:Pickup option not included No email answer (but my booking was late)
Review 7:Staff, services, indoor fresh pool, rooms Atmosphear with music, magician, and evening show
Review 8:Very poor welcome of guests. Make you sit in a hall with closed air conditioners. No welcome drink. And make you wait on the main gate for 10 minutes to tell you that they cannot find my booking. Then ask me to email them a copy of the booking after reaching there from a long journey. It is ridiculous somebody will come that far without a booking. They need to treat their arriving guests in a better way.
Review 9:The property is beautiful and majestic.
Review 10:Heard others complain about the location - that it was too far from the city - but that wasn't an issue for us as we were renting a car. So for us, being outside the city was actually a plus.
Review 11:To begin with, their welcome is very heart-warming, their premises are impeccable, gardens serene and peaceful, and they have a great eye for detail. They would send these small sweet servings to your room, that were very tastefully done! A night time walk around the premises was sheer bliss! Great place.
Review 12:nothing

Evening performance at the open air terrace followed by some star gazing ! - Had all meals in hotel during our stay and food was sumptuous ! From tummy bursting Marwari Thali to the lovely b.fast spread to the tandoor... Yummm ! - Surprise sweet every morning & evening in room ! - Courteous and attentive staff
Review 17:The stay was comfortable and the resort was beautiful. Rajasthani hospitality at its best. They made us at home and provided for our extra requirements. Food is great! One of the best team manages this place.
Review 18:Nothing. It was great.
Review 19:This hotel was truly inspiring. We loved waking up in the morning just so we could walk out into the hallway. Every step was full of beauty and perfection. The sandstone architecture and the luxurious furniture - oh and the food was delicious.
Review 20:i visited many hotels on my vacation this year , suryagarh would top the list . Very hospitable staff , good taste interiors . Staff makes you feel really wellcome . They have a great in house shop which sells real indian handcrafted luxary products not the typical handicraft sold in hotels . I recommend suryagarh is a must visit if you visit jaisalmer
Review 21:Have nothing to say in this regard,
Review 22:Total courtesy of all d staff made our stay a complete comfortable. Even our guest who couldn't get d accomodation over here due to prior bookings loved to spend d time with us .
Review 23:-Service not at the level of a 5 stars, especially when the hotel is fully booked -Double room only average (one of the bed room even didn't have a proper window) - cost of food and beverages
Review 24:Amazing architecture and luxury
Review 25:The pool (not very clean, bad smell). The location (too far from the city). The price of the transfer to the city was expensive, different every day! and I did not like to have to bargain for it.
Review 26:Diners and Breakfasts in the court (great food, great service, amazing setting). Modern and very comfotable rooms.
Review 27:There's no substitute for staying in the fort wall in Jaislamer, but if you're looking for something different, Suryagarh, 16 km out of town, looks amazing....and it is.Rooms start from about $AUS14o for a double (which is all you need) in low season, $AUS 200 for a suite. And the property looks lovely as the light changes in the evening when there is also some traditional music and dancing to watch before dinner. But it is really isolated. (It was good to know to take some drinks and snacks). Rooms have no view (which is why a double is enough, the extra space in the suite is not all that pleasant for sitting) and it's easy to get 'cabin fever'. Outside the room, there's no air-conditioning, so when it's hot, it's really hot. And the walkways are latticed after the ground floor, so it's easy to feel a bit imprisoned.Best to get to the hotel late afternoon. It's not a place to spend the day at. In fact the best parts are arriving, the evening and breakfast...in fact all the food is absolutely deliciousBut while rooms can be quite affordable, especially in the low season, food and drink is expensive, at Australian prices. One serve of Safed chicken, rice, misi roti cost $AUS25That said, the dining is also very, very memorable. The setting for breakfast is lovely and peacocks wander around the courtyard. Dinner is silver service, glamourous and romantic in the courtyard and very, very good. And there are some of complimentary foods that helps stay in budget. Welcome drinks and snacks are amazing and extremely generous. Then, through your stay, little treats and sweets arrive mysteriously in your room.Breakfast is included in the room price and is incredible, including a 'chaat bar' (make your own snacks) and traditional Indian sweets, as well as Indian breakfast foods and marsala chai served in a variety of traditional 'tea cups’. At dinner, a side salad and Bundi ladoo sweets were complimentary.
Review 28:Not a major drawback, but note the hotel is 14kms out of town
