Reviews for Richmond Lane Holiday Home
Review 1:the dirty bath, the used soap that has a pubic hair on it, the shower that did not work, the tea stains on the table where the cups are, the long blond hair in the tea mug - and no I am not making any of this up.
Review 2:hmmm
Review 3:Could do with a spring clean, it wasn't dirty but it wasn't spotless either
Review 4:Location was good for stopover , but without a car there is not much there. Guest house was lovely and had a beautiful garden
Review 5:The room was nice and comfortable. Very nicely decorated. The owner couldn't have been more helpful when showing us around and offering assistance.
Review 6:Focus on style rather than practical arrangements for travellers. Receipt stated en-suite but bathroom separate and I understood that had there been other guests it would have been shared. For the price I should have expected a basic light breakfast.
Review 7:The bedroom and bathroom were clean and attention had been given to the décor.
Review 8:'Breakfast is from 10.10 am on Sundays. We like a lie in. Hope that's OK'. Understood that room was en suite. It wasn't.
Review 9:Well furnished and comfortable.
Review 10:Might not suit people who need their privacy or are a bit busy, as our hostess, who is very lovely, likes a chat. Also no breakfast option, though she offered to put toast and coffee "on a timer", which we didn't go for.
Review 11:Lovely decor, quiet area, pleasant short canal-side walk into Romsey, which is very nice indeed. Free parking, either on the drive or on the road. Very sweet landlady, who you'll like if you like a chat.
Review 12:The en suite bedroom was just too small for us. Loved the shutters. Way over priced for the square footage.
Review 13:Quiet,not far from Romsey centre. Fabulous decoration and furnishings throughout. Garden beautifully designed for ambient entertainment.
Review 14:A warm welcome and a comfortable room - All I look for really! A pleasantly quiet location too. Not too far from the town centre but set in a residential area. There is also parking, although I was using public transport. I will very likely book here again.
Review 15:Money for room taken before we had even got in our room. And no cooked breakfast option even if we had wanted it.
Review 16:Room was beutifully decorated but the en suite was rather small.
Review 17:It didn't seem as advertised. The owner greeted us in friendly manner, but there wasn't anything else hospitable about the place. The bathroom was barely functional. Breakfast was extra and not offered until 9:30. Completely dissatisfied.
Review 18:Nothing actually.
Review 19:Everything fine!
Review 20:The staff is friendly and, the house clean and comfortable, close to the town of Romsey where you can go walking, the breakfast was also tasty.
Review 21:Shower in bathroom was too low for me. Breakfast - extra - was not served until 9am at weekends. I had to be somewhere else by 9:15, eight miles away, on both mornings.
Review 22:Comfortable bed - good sleep!
Review 23:Was a bit dusty and quite a few cobwebs (and spiders!)
Review 24:Really lovely furnishings and nice little touches such as iced water which was freely available and a bath robe. Great shower and thick fluffy towels. Excellent wifi.
Review 25:Would have preferred the option of an early breakfast on a Saturday as we had to leave prior to serving time of 9 am. However, we enjoyed the yogurts that were provided.
Review 26:The en suite room was clean, comfortable and very tastefully decorated.
Review 27:Only one minor thing really - the shower in the en-suite room which we had is a bit small for comfort.
Review 28:Very clean and tidy. Very friendly owner. Lovely garden, complete with a luxury gazebo with wi-fi!
Review 29:We received a very friendly welcome on arrival. We were shown to our room and shown where tea and coffee was. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of breakfast choice. We had the full English and it was delicious with a great view of the garden. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely stay there again.
Review 30:Paid an extra £5 each for breakfast but was only offered continental style. For the price paid should have been offered full English.
Review 31:Great nights sleep, clean room, very welcoming host.
Review 32:£50 for a single room, shared bathroom,no biscuits only 3 small UHT milk pots & no breakfast was in my opinion too much. Had to leave my car on the road although it was admittedly quiet.Only booked because I couldn't find anywhere else.
Review 33:warm welcome from the owner. Lovely comfortable en-suite room
Review 34:Friendliness and standard of facilities
Review 35:location is a bit remote ..

Review 56:Nothing
Review 57:Cosy room and the lady is friendly. I really like the garden for summer to relxa away from home and work too.
Review 58:Everything.
Review 59:This place is an absolute jewel.Decor is stunning room quite delightful clean and comfy..but the garden is an oasis of serene luxury and comfort.I cannot wait to return.
Review 60:From the online information, it stated that there would be a DVD player available but we were unable to find it. The staff were lovely and friendly but when they were needed were unable to be found.
Review 61:It was very casual- we were able to come and go as and when we wanted. The service was excellent. The rooms had everything that was needed and nicely decorated.
Review 62:The driveway was on a steep incline. The room had heavy shutters which had a thick layer of dust. I've never seen such a small wash-basin - like a dentist's spitoon! The landlady was inattentive. Breakfast was between 9-11 at the weekend. She wandered down at 9.20 on both mornings. The table was not properly laid on the second morning. The 'light breakfast' consisted of cereal, white sliced bread (no choice) and fruitjuice straight from the carton. Very poor. Very over priced.
Review 63:The location was a relatively comfortable walk into the town centre. The house was easy to find. Romsey is a lovely market town - quiet and peaceful. Lots to see in the town and surrounding area. National Trust properties in easy reach and Broadlands (home of Lord Mountbatton) in the town
Review 64:very poor matress on bed Very poor sink and shelf arrangement in en-suite very small wash hand basin
Review 65:location was good only 15 mins walk into Romsey. Breakfast good.
Review 66:Not en-suite, but this was a result of Booking.com poor management of mybooking, through double-booking my first choice, then not informing myfirst choice of what was happening, and then double-booking my follow-uppreference. The owners of the guest house were very accommodatingconsidering the problems Booking.com had created throughout myparticular booking in Romsey (first time I have experienced problems in11+ years of using Booking.com).
Review 67:Very helpful and friendly staff Comfortable and quiet room
Review 68:banging my head on the shelf above the washbasin in the room
Review 69:the friendly reception and helpfulness
