Located 350 feet from the beach of Acharavi, Matoula is a family-run hotel offering self-catering units with a private balcony. It includes a swimming pool and a poolside bar-restaurant.
Matoula studios and apartments come with a kitchenette equipped with a mini fridge and electric kettle, as well as a TV with satellite channels. Each unit also has its own bathroom with shower, and a hairdryer.
Guests can enjoy refreshing drinks, coffees and fresh juices by the pool, while the on-site restaurant serves breakfast and lunch including Greek and international dishes.

Review 1：The pool bar manager pushes you to buy more drinks / food constantly and is a general annoyance. He rents the premises out from the resort which is unfortunate - as guests you have paid to make use of the pool area etc. and should not be pestered by a pool bar manager to buy foodstuffs as if we are wrong to consume the pool service without paying more.
Review 2：The staff at the resort (other than the pool bar manager) could not be kinder, more helpful or more pleasant. The resort is clean and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and done to a high standard for the price. The kitchen is basic but acceptable. Very highly recommended overall.
Review 3：Air conditioner is a little bit noisy (though works hard). Large flat TV panel deserves more channels.
Review 4：Very convenient location of the hotel (second line from the sea and walking distance from the main street of Acharavi). Very pleasant beach: small pebbles, sandy bottom, shallow water, no urchins. Friendly staff, a lot of flowers, large balcony.

Review 9：With having a 4 year old we had a downstairs apartment. We would prefer an upstairs one as there are lots of cats around. Some people feed them which encourages them to come all the time, which we did not want.
Review 10：Very simple clean apartments, very handy for the beach in one direction and the main road with shops in the other. Good eating places near by. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can always get a sunbed around the pool, even though people who are not staying at the Matoula can use the beds.
Review 11：I personally would have liked to have a Two soft arm chairs in the bedroom area so that sometimes we could watch the television without having to sit on the bed. I also would have liked to have some kind of entertainment within the complex. That would be the only things I would change

Review 13：I stayed at matoula 14 years ago for a family holiday and it was amazing, when I returned this year with my partner it couldn't have been better! The staff are so polite and extremely helpful, the room had everything we needed and the housekeeping staff did a brilliant job with the rooms. I have no complaints whatsoever, the location was perfect for us as well with the beach and town a minutes walk away from the hotel we had everything we needed right there! Would 100% recommend matoula hotel to friends and family and definitatey return myself!

Review 16：There was lots of extra fees, 6 euro per day for A/C, and we also had to pay a deposit for the TV remote. TV had very few channels, so hardly any point to pay for the remote.

Kitchenette is small, but suitable for breakfasts and easy access to great local restaurants means you won't need to cook anyway. Large swimming pool, 5 minute stroll to beach or Archaravi shops. Excellent value for money for families.
