Reviews for The Salt Rooms
Review 1:Sound proofing isn't great, so if people are talking in the hallway or going to the loo at night in the external bathroom, you can hear it. The latter woke me up on the second night.
Review 2:Central location, comfortable bed, and friendly staff, especially Isabel who cooked our breakfast.
Review 3:Only slight downside was the lack of an ensuite but this was only due to the only room left and my booking was last minute, but it wouldn't put me off the place.
Review 4:Location was ideal for my needs. Car parking very close. Breakfast was just the thing for a long day ahead.
Review 5:There's no parking on site, albeit that there is a pay and display a very short walk away. This is free after 6pm until 8am the following morning which will be fine for most but you'll need to pay for parking outside of these times unless it's a Sunday.
Review 6:There was simply nothing I didn't like about the room and the breakfast. If I'm ever in Macclesfield again, it'll be the first place I look at!
Review 7:Had a bit of trouble finding the Salt Rooms, walked right passed it! The church bells are lovely- on the hour, EVERY hour! We were there on a Saturday night and there was quite a bit of noise from the nearby nightclub's comings and goings. We are fairly light sleepers and because the Salt Rooms are a listed building it has the original single glazed sash windows and our room was on the front. Consequently we didn't get much sleep, although we felt better after the lovely breakfast.
Review 8:Very pleasant and friendly staff. Location was good for us - right in the town. A good supply of snacks and drinks in the room.
Review 9:We had a separate bathroom which was across the hall but I was sure I'd booked an en suite room however the owner said we hadn't
Review 10:Really close to the venue we had a party at so we were able to walk ,the breakfast was lovely and the rooms pleasantly decorated
Review 11:We like everything about it and I already recommend this place to my friends. I love it and definitely I will be coming soon back ;). Super stuff, always smile and always happy to help you if u need something. Thank you 4 everything. Martin and Nikola

Review 17:Your satnav may not get you there first time!
Review 18:A unique little establishment! An interesting old terraced house right in the old town on a quiet cobbled street, with parking nearby. Modern, good quality decor, comfortable bed, good shower, very fluffy towels, extra bottles of water and fresh milk in the fridge, crisps, biscuits and Tunnocks teacakes in the room!. Excellent full English breakfast cooked to order. Really helpful service. Here's someone who knows what they are doing!
Review 19:Location was on a fairly quiet road, however, I clearly heard people walking past in the wee hours as it was so close to the cobbled road. Also heard the road cleaning machine very early on a Sunday morning!
