Reviews for Apartments Tamarix

Review 1:Clean and well equipped apartment with sea view from window. Nice mountain view. Good service - they even cleaned room floor and changed towels everyday. If we will be in this region, will come here again.

Review 2:very quiet location, view from the hotel window, sea view from the bed, hotel/room only 5 meters from the sea, well-equipped apartment, sandy main beach, only a few people on another beaches, restaurant Konoba Pece, Paklenica mountains

Review 3:Quite a bad smell in the apartment foyer and stairway.

Review 4:Lovely view over the harbour. Spacious room. We had a beautiful day trip to Plitvice Lakes from this village.

Review 5:Only 3 restaurants and not all took credit cards. No place to exchange money closest city with services you normally use was about 30KM(Zadar). If you don't speak German you are at a loss if you need something. For Americans there is no beach as you know. No sand and no space. Stones and rocks. If your are German you will love it.

Review 6:Very quiet and charming village.

Review 7:Vinjerac is a small village that can get easily crowded but in June this wasn´t our case

Review 8:staff, breakfast (not included - costs about 6 euro per person) cards accepted (but it´s not stated in the profile!) right at the sea

Review 9:The only downside was that the wifi reception was only available in the parts of the room close to the door which wasn't a big problem for us.

Review 10:The hosts were really kind to keep the place open for us even though we made our booking late and got there at half ten without letting them know. The sea view from the room that we saw in the morning was absolutely stunning! The sea and the beach are literally just outside your room. We had a corner room that had two windows - request that one if possible)

Review 11:Location, comfort, window view, staff, breakfast... we liked everything. When we came at Tamarix parking place waited for us, nice lady waited us at the reception, kindly give us the key of our apartment whic was clean, cosy but with spectaculous view on the clean sea and wonderful mountains. We just loved it. Will be back for sure.

Review 12:Super nice place, amazing people. Room awesome, cosy, equipped with everything you might need, hotel right next to water. Amazingly clean. The only restaurant in town also fabolous. Aparthotel Tamarix rocks!

Review 13:Our shower head dos not fit into the holder for it-not a big deal but would be good if it did.

Review 14:Fantastic apartment in a small fishing village where boats still go out twice a day. It is quiet and conveniently located to explore Paklenica np, Zadar or Pag. All I would highly recomend.

Review 15:The bed had somewhat of a bowl shape, but tolerable, and the TV didn't work despite the staff trying to fiddle with 3 remotes.

Review 16:A superb apartment, bright ambience, open view of the sea. Staff lady very helpful and caring. It' the place to go if you want to do Nothing, which is what we wanted. The bar was the place to sit and watch the locals do their thing.

Review 17:Wifi a bit hit and miss, needed to sit on the stairs to connect. Hard to park sometimes.

Review 18:Location right on the water with view from the window of the harbour. Very short walk to swimming area. Quite close to Zadar (by car). Nice cafe nearby, small shop and fruit stalls. Staff friendly and multi-lingual.

Review 19:Our room location. Our window opened up directly on a sidewalk so you could literally touch the tourists. The bathroom ventilation window opened up to the lobby of the hotel. Most of the time we kept the room closed up just to have some privacy. Our booking said no meal plan so we were surprised to see a breakfast table set up outside, but we were never invited to join so no idea who it was for.

Review 20:The location of the hotel is nice if you are looking for an out of the way spot to spend lots of time in the water and in the sun. Best if you can speak some German.

Review 21:The apartment has a superb location on the water and is set right in the heart of a charming little village, which sits against beautiful landscapes. We could see the sun setting on the water from our window and loved staring at the vast blue sea from there.. And falling asleep to the sound of the waves! The apartment has everything you need and is spacious, very well presented and very clean. The staff were great and very welcoming, making it the perfect combination of apartment and hotel living. The owner's home-baked cherries strudel takes centre place amongst the wide breakfast selection.. Which again you can enjoy in full view of the sea! Can't wait to be back! Elisa & Richard, uk

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:This was an amazing apartment. The rooms were spacious, with everything you need to make your own meals. The location is breathtakingly beautiful. The apartments are on the waterfront. This is a small village, with a couple of restaurants, bars and a shop. We loved our time here.

Review 24:Over priced room for being in such a small town. We were charged 2 Euro for coffee in the morning!

Review 25:Rooms are very clean, large and very comfortable. We were impressed! The building is in the heart of the little town and in the perfect place to watch the beautiful sunsets. Plenty of parking spots available, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom. Vinjerac is a sleepy fishing town that made a great stop for relaxation after a long day of hiking at Plitvice.

Review 26:The location, the view, calm and relaxing area, close to Zadar, Nin, Vir... Would highly recommend, The owner of the hotel is really a nice lady!! We had a fridge problem - replaced in the next 5 mins after we asked...

Review 27:Not applicable

Review 28:Everything

Review 29:Beautiful location by the sea with a terrific view of the bay

Review 30:TV was not working at all, no facilities for smokers..

Review 31:Location, peaceful village, ideal for relaxing vacation, wifi..

Review 32:A bit hard to find the appartments...a sign on the back of the building would be handy for drivers

Review 33:Lovely room, excellent view over the water

Review 34:Beautiful location! Very quiet and peaceful village right by the sea. Very welcoming hosts.

Review 35:Breakfast outside

Review 36:There was nothing

Review 37:The owner s lady was very helpfull and she spoke excellent english.

Review 38:Great sea view Quiet

Review 39:None

Review 40:Location

Review 41:Warmhearted reception and a direct view on the sea

Review 42:Sunny view! Beach is very near and it is uncrowded, also our host Milica is always on hand and makes excellent breakfast. I will be back for sure!

Review 43:Stunning views! Beach is very near and its uncrowded. Staff is very polite and always on time.

Review 44:The location is quite out of the way. Few dining options around.

Review 45:Great views, right on the water, the manager was very helpful. Wonderful breakfast.

Review 46:With just one restaurant open at the time you could have starved to death!

Review 47:Off the beaten track. A dream of a village with very few tourists.

Review 48:Price is way too high for what you get. Wifi didn't work half of the time.

Review 49:View

Review 50:The village are wonderful.

Review 51:Frequent wi-fi service unavailability

Review 52:Friendly staff, clean spacious room ..

Review 53:Beautiful view, nice and peaceful village, comfortable apartments and friendly straff. The fish restaurant of the place is really cool!

Review 54:Really nice little town. Room was right on the water which was great.

Review 55:Can't beat the location and the owner was so welcoming and helpful.

Review 56:The apartment itself was good. It is a ways from Zadar though in a quiet town.

Review 57:The hotel was excellent, but the beach was dirty. Did'nt meet even the minimal Eruropean standards

Review 58:Everything, really! Great location, just by the sea!! Everything feels new and fresh

Review 59:We stayed 3 nights in a very comfortable apartment. When we first arrived we thought that it might be a bit remote. But what a great suprise.Be advised by the very delightful owner what to see in the immediate area as it is really beautiful. You must go to the local fish restaurant as it is excellent "Kondoba Pece" Tamarix is the ideal place to stay as it is only metres To the water.Be prepared as there is only a small store and a few small bars and a couple of restaurants all in walking distance, this could be described as a "Sleepy little town"

Review 60:No signage. Breakfast is not worth 10 euros per person per day. The hot water heater has a switch next to the bathroom light switch. If you flip it off you have no hot water. It was not mentioned at check in. No wifi except next to the reception desk.

Review 61:The location is fabulous! Nice place nice people.

Review 62:The breakfast is over priced at 10 Euros per person. There was no wifiexcept by the reception. We had no hot water because the receptionistforgot to mention a switch by the light switch must be on!

Review 63:The location is incredible! The room is nice.

Review 64:Can be difficult to find a supermarket close by, so come prepared. Breakfast seemed a little expensive at 10€, but we side stepped that by making our own in the provided kitchen and eating right in front of the sea. Priceless!

Review 65:Absolutely jaw-dropping view from the window, right in front of the water and with the Paklenica mountain range just in sight. Rooms are spacious, with a good kitchen provided and a clean bathroom. Staff always eager to help. Quaint little town, with a lot of charm and away from the turist madness of Plitvice and Zadar (Vinjerac is actually an ideal stopover between these cities). Tip: If you stay here and love fish, go to Konoba Pece (500 meters away) and just enjoy!

Review 66:An ATM would have been handy but Vinjerac is too small to have one. There is one on the way to Starigrad / national park which is 15-20mins drive away so no great problem as you are likely to visit there anyway.

Review 67:Clean and well appointed room. Optional breakfast recommended. Prime location in a small sleepy harbour with stunning views of sea and mountains from room window (make sure you book a room with a sea view as it really is worth paying extra for the stunning view). Less than 1min walk to small beach with very clean calm waters for swimming or relaxing next to. Excellent food from local restaurant: Konobo Pece. Short driving distance to National Park for hiking into mountains recommended if you are reasonably fit.

Review 68:we had no complaints

Review 69:those who want to enjoy the holiday would recommend this small and quiet place. Service was excellent and all the staff at the hotel were friendly. At night you can just hear the waves hitting the coast

Review 70:There is no Bankomat (atm) in the village, so you have to get some Kunasbefore you get to Vinjerac.

Review 71:We were there last year and had a great experience, specially from theowners and staff. This year we went again had as much as a great fun aspreviously.Bravo

Review 72:Limited availability of food stores, some chat occasionally outside during the night..

Review 73:Very kind host and the apartment has been directly sea looking..literarily just 3 meters from the sea..in a small fishing-village..Very clean and neat.

Review 74:We absolutely loved this location, the apartments as clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Loved the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea. Can't wait to go back. What a gem!

Review 75:The AC was just under the bed and there were very few restaurants around (actually only one) and a few snacks, no ATM, so get your money before you get there.

Review 76:Large appartment for 2 people, clean and well furbished. Everything was fine and in good working conditions. Nothing really to fault in there.

Review 77:Some rooms are located on the Ground floor, so people going by can look into your window. If you want to avoid it, it is better to write it as a notice in advance.

Review 78:First of all some words about Vinjerac village: A small village with only 100 native inhabitants. After the big city, this place is a real escape from the noise and stress. Rest, peace and calm. A real place of serenity. Transparent water, nice mountains. Nothing more to wish! Hotel: Located right in the center of the village, 2 meters from the sea. 50 meters from the beach. Standart room, was enough for 2 parents+ 2childrens. The room was clean, light, very well equipped. Good and stable Wi-Fi. In the nearest shop you can find all that you need. For more you can visit Zadar, which is only 20 km away. The Zadar city is nice too and you have to visit it.

Review 79:-

Review 80:Perfect place for those who wants a quiet place to relax. The hotel is just at the see, everything is in 2 minutes. Staff very kind. Room large enough, clean and calm, no need air-conditioner.

Review 81:the beach was too small so it was full quickly but it was july and so in fairness it was high season....also we were on ground floor which i was not that keen on as people could look in through window when we had it open as it was very hot.

Review 82:everything was so clean and the location was out of the way and quiet and beautiful

Review 83:Breakfast was extra $10 euro pp per day. It didn't seem like a good vale. We at comparable hotels during the remainder of our time in Croatia and breakfast was included in the room rate. The location was too remote for traveling without a car. We left on a Sunday and no buses run that day. The host drove us to another town for pick up, so it worked out.

Review 84:Nice quiet town with beautiful view of Adriatic Sea.

Review 85:Read the directions to the Tamarix carefully as we ended up miles away to begin with. It wasn't where we thought it was from the description.....but it was so much better than expected!!!

Review 86:Beautiful location. Lovely clean, spacious apartments. Very helpful owner.

Review 87:The place was difficult to find - the co-ordinates were about 200m wrong and the name of the place wasimpossible to see because of the cars parced in front off the house!

Review 88:The room was nice and clean!

Review 89:One of the beds was very uncomfortable - it was just two beds stuckedtogether, with a kind of an uncomfortable mattress in between. Thebreakfast price was unreasonably high (10 euro per person).

Review 90:The view - the hotel is just 10 meters from the beach. Whenever youlook, there is a sea and just beyond - N.P. Paklenica mountains. Theapatments itself was nice - two bedrooms+a kitchen. The village is verypastoral and quiet.

Review 91:Poor wifi access, maybe for good... Breakfast too expensive at 10 euros, but optional....

Review 92:Large apartment both immediate. View on the port and on the sea. Quite better than described on booking.com, in an authentic fishermen village. We will return there... Very good value for money.

Review 93:The price we received from Bookings.com was very low but when we checked out from the hotel there were extra charges added to our bill. I recommend reviewing the charges as you check in. We had to pay 20 Euros for breakfast and a hefty room tax while we thought that it was all included. Also, there is only one restaurant in town and although the food was great and the atmosphere was good, the prices were fairly high.

Review 94:We liked the location, friendly staff, and clean rooms.

Review 95:The hotel is situated on the quay of Vinjerac, a small, authentic, quiet fishers village. The room was very spacious, with excellent beds (very comfortable mattresses), light and airy. Big bathroom too. From the room we had a beautiful view of the harbor, and the mountains of national park Paklenica, which is only a 30 minute drive away. The staff is very pleasant, breakfast is enormous and varied.

Review 96:Tamarix sits straight on the quay of Vinjerac, a small, quiet and genuine fisher village. The view from our seaside room was splendid! The room itself is big, light and bright, has a good bathroom and perfect quality mattrasses; the best beds we've had in 3 weeks in Croatia! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. From hotel Tamarix it's only a 30 minute drive to beautiful National Park Paklenica.

Review 97:For the average of Croatia accomodation it's not cheap considering the remote location, but if you can make use of the kitchen in the apartment it would save you money and our apartment could easily host a family of 5.

Review 98:The hotel is right on the sea of the tiny village on Vinjerac. If you want to let your children play out without risks and leave in arelaxed place next to the highway from where you could easily reach Zadar, and the parks of Pakleniza, Krka, Plitvizce it's an excellent location to stay out of any confusion and enjoy a fantastic sunset.

Review 99:I was very disappointed by the attitude of the reception lady. We booked for one night and as we are used to do in such a situation we asked for a double room not for a triple. Our 8 year old son usually sleep with us for one night. The reception staff forced us to take a triple (that cost 25% more of the basic price from Booking.com) with a very funny reason: the establishment is a four star one (I totally disagree with the classification indeed) and it is not appropriate bed sharing... They serve one of the most expensive breakfast I've ever seen in my life: 10€ per person for a very poor buffet. We passed. The bed sheets were too small for the bed size, the holder of the shower head was broken and the external window blinds had missing pieces.

Review 100:Well, for a stop over in a long journey by car the place is nearly acceptable. Few words about the village are really worth. The place is really peculiar because of the atmosphere and the layout of the village. Clearly not a place for mass tourism, but it looked nice.

Review 101:Excellent stay, very friendly. Very nice rooms, ideal location and responsable went out of her way to help us in time of emergency. Thanks for a lovely time.

Review 102:Beautiful location , our room had a view of the sea, the town. This is avery quiet fishing village, but we enjoyed the atmosphere after vivitingDubrovnic, Split and couple of islands and Opatija where it was busy. Wegot talking to the local people in a small restaurant, enjoyed watchingthe families with children playing near the boats at sunset - just sonice and peaceful!. We left for Plitvice from there, and were able toreach this destination early the next day.Walking through the village wegot to understand a bit of the effect of the1991 - 1994 war . .

Review 103:Price was exorbitant, and I was annoyed to see it reduced by well over 50% on booking.com while I was there. We left a day early, and they would not consider either a refund or a reduction.

Review 104:Vinjerac is a lovely little place, but remote from even a decent grocery store.

Review 105:Nothing only we wanted to stay longer but had other places to be.

Review 106:It is in the most idealic setting and is just beautiful. So relaxingjust wonderful. The staff were very very good and as this was a returntrip from last year they made us even more welcome, just great afterfour days on the road.

Review 107:A sign saying "Aparthotel Tamarix" on the building would help to find it.

Review 108:This was an excellent, well equipped, exceptionally beautifully designed one room holiday appartment situated right on the harbourside in the small village of Vinjerac. The advertised view of the sunset from the window was indeed magnificent. The owner and staff were most helpful and friendly.

Review 109:We book this hotel on the way back from our holiday. First we don'texpect, but we truly fall in love this hotel and village, this is niceto stay there.

Review 110:All was good

Review 111:Very enjoyable stay lovely place to visit with great recommendation from host for restaurant nearby

Review 112:Location in small port Vinjerac. It's calm..

Review 113:No complaints

Review 114:Very beautiful room with a great view. Nice little town with an absolutely incredible restaurant just up the street.

Review 115:Gorgeous view, spacious apartment lovely breakfast

Review 116:Wonderful location, friendly staff.

Review 117:Everything is possible there, really jut everything :-)

Review 118:Very clean and right next to the water
