Reviews for Annebrook House Apartments

Review 1:Was disappointed that there was no cooker or hob as advertised for apartment. Also tv was very old (advertised as tv/dvd combo) and channels were badly tuned

Review 2:Close to work site

Review 3:being self contained, warmth, view, not noisey, food, especially brekfast, clean bed linen and towels. When kitchen cutlery crockery and tea towels and things needed for kitchen were asked for they were immediatly brought to room.would highlyrecommend to anyoneto stay there.

Review 4:Everything was perfect for the occasion we were there for, the receptionist Andy was brilliant in getting us checked in and helping us with any queries, all in all a great stay and place to be. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody.

Review 5:Although the main house was lovingly restored, the appartments which we stayed in , were built on the cheap. No sound proofing or even decent walls between the appartments existed . Both nights we stayed here we hardly had three hours sleep per night and the plumbing was as loud as a jumbo jet ,taking off in the next room . The parking spaces are unbelievably tiny with cars packed in very tightly. The phrase, all fur coat and no knickers springs to mind .

Review 6:The staff were very friendly and efficient. The main house was lovingly restored. The restaurant was really nice for both dinner and breakfast .

Review 7:Stayed here a few times,Apartments lovely and well equipped for our needs, staff so nice and great music on the Saturday night, would diffenitly recommend you visit The Church Restaurant food fabulous

Review 8:The hotel is located right in the heart of Mullingar. We stayed in the apartment's which are connected to the hotel. Very clean and spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 9:Very noisy. Apartment looked shabby. Cups plates etc dirty, maybe because not even the basics were provided e.g cloths washing up liquid. Glad we only stayed for two nights.

Review 10:The food was good.

Review 11:We couldn't get the heat on in the apartment, so we were cold - there was something wrong with the boiler. Also thought there would have been utensils to cook with in the apartment and more dishes etc.

Review 12:The Apartments were conveniently located and the staff were very helpful.

Review 13:Our room was not cleaned adequately and on arrival we had to have mattress protector changed that was dirty. Bed was very noisy when moving and you could here all movement in corridor outside.

Review 14:Facilities, style and general décor was very good. Food was excellent at bar.

Review 15:The only things that would improve the apartment would be better WiFi facilities in the apartment itself and a modern flatscreen television with more channels. . . for those heavy rainy days. . . Not that I spent much time indoors. But it could be more of a negative to some.

Review 16:The location was beautiful and apartment had a wonderful view overlooking the park. It was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided everyday by wonderful cleaning staff that were friendly and efficient. Furniture was of good quality although some pieces need replacing due to previous guests treatment of their surroundings. Reception and restaurant staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast was self service and a fantastic selection of almost anything you can think of and wonderful surroundings.

Review 17:Every time you flushed the toilet or ran water there was a terrible noise. This happened to us when we stayed there previously but it was only for one night so did not mention it. My brother also stayed in a separate apartment and he also complained about the noise.

Review 18:The location of the hotel is good and also the free parking.

Review 19:No oven or hob in apartment. Didn't bother us at all (we didn't need one, and there is a microwave, etc), but some people might want one, so be aware.

Review 20:Everything was fantastic, great apartments, great staff, very impressive breakfast, etc. Would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Review 21:Access to apartments is via a lengthy internal route - up and down stairs, despite the fact that this is supposed to be wheelchair accessible, or via the very dismal undergound carpark. I don't think if I were a younger woman by myself I would want to go in that way: there was an empty vodka bottle lying in one of the puddles of the underground car park while we were there. In the apartment the crockery was too limited - we had to improvise in order to eat our food there. These days I would expect wi-fi in the apartments and not just in reception.

Review 22:Charming and helpful receptionists. Very spacious apartment.

Review 23:We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We last stayed here 4 years ago when we were last in Mullingar and really enjoyed our time at this hotel then, so we did not look at staying at any other hotels. This is in a great location set back from the main road next to the shops, pubs etc. Our room was in the apartment block which had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and lounge. This was spacious, clean and quiet with good quality furniture. We had a balcony overlooking the river and park which was nice to look out at. The young lady on reception was very polite and efficient. The hotel car park is spacious. We ate in the hotel bar / restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice. The staff here were very friendly and polite and made us feel welcome. We will definitely stay there again.

Review 24:Fridge didn't really work in apt Floors of apt were a bit dirtyKeycards stopped working a few times Have to walk to underground carpark to apts. There is a connecting corridor but not much use andvery confusing

Review 25:Location is perfect. Carvery lunch is great value Loved breakfast, lotsof choice, very tasty. Staff at breakfast worked really hard. Busy mostmornings but they kept cleaning tables and even took orders forpancakes etc

Review 26:Would be great if the wifi could stretch to the apartments. Also would be nice to have more TV channels and oven facilities

Review 27:Spacious apartments, plenty of parking spaces, comfy, great hotel bar, many options for breakfast, easy access to high street

Review 28:Our stay was just for one night and we really wanted to stay longer but could not at this time.

Review 29:Overall, the convenience of the hotel was ideal. As we stayed in the apartment it was brillant for a grown up family, spacious, clean and very comfy. Will be back again all going well! breakfast was very good.

Review 30:Very very noisy at night time in apartments, not a good idea for a weekend in wedding season

Review 31:Great location, friendly helpful staff, good bar good and atmosphere

Review 32:General shortly of kitchen utensils. COOKER VERY DIRTY, UNFIT FOR USE. Oven not working. Noise all night due to a wedding party.

Review 33:Excellent Breakfast Easy to find Baloney in apartment. Cleaning staff very good.

Review 34:The lack of wifi in the apartment block, and a rather old fashioned television. Late night noise from function guests in the apartment block, I don't think the tiled hallway helped.

Review 35:Really helpful staff, great breakfast included, and in a good location.

Review 36:Everything great. The other criticism would be the apartment could do with a few more utensils..ie..plates wine opener and glasses...

Review 37:Location great.Staff very helpful and friendly.Great breakfast.Excellent overall.Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time I'm in Mullingar.

Review 38:Noise from other residents at 3am, not what you expect or should have to put up with no attempt to stop the noise was made and it went on for over an hour. No apology made at reception morning after

Review 39:location was handy

Review 40:A little bit of maintenance to the apartments would have made all the difference here. Reception staff could have been more welcoming and cheery.

Review 41:Beautiful breakfast

Review 42:We were alerted on check in that there was likely to be noise late into the night due to functions in the hotel. We realised very quickly that we were too near to the function rooms and were moved to one of the apartments. The apartment was immaculate - but more suitable for a group - we would have liked the luxuriousness of a double room ie (having tv in the bedroom, bigger bed etc) having paid the double room price. I was very disappointed to find the Wheelchair access lift going to the underground car park completely blocked off by a car, its owner obviously not caring. It was there from early evening to late morning on Sunday. I am aware that it is not the fault of the hotel staff, but the owner should have been contacted to have the car removed.

Review 43:The staff were friendly, the location is very central and for the most part our stay was good.

Review 44:Slow service in bar for food. A few things broken / not working in apartment. Shower door broken. No light bulbs in 2 lamps . Timber frame bed. Kept hitting off it.

Review 45:Staff friendly.warm and relaxing.

Review 46:No free Wi-Fi and poor TV and channel selection.

Review 47:Huge big warm apartment that was more than big enough to fit our party or 4 adults and 2 kids. Very well furnished, clean and comfortable rooms.

Review 48:Nothing - whole experience fab!

Review 49:We ordered dinner from the restaurant to be delivered to the apartment as we were in a hurry to get away and there was a fab view of the park and river from our balcony as we got ready. The rooms were spacious and very comfy so it felt like we were staying in a hotel. Cant wait to stay again

Review 50:Noisy bathroom fans Noisy water pumps No proper mattress for baby cot

Review 51:Endless pots of tea and breakfast! Old part of hotel is amazing Great wedding food Great wedding staff, very professional amd courteous Breakfast staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful or accommodating

Review 52:The cold shower in the morning.

Review 53:Very roomy apartment. The bed was very comfortable, great nights sleep. Breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and plentiful. Staff were very nice and helpful. I loved the noisy, quirky lift, it had character. Enjoyed my stay and it was great value for money.

Review 54:The Tv. had limited stations and reception was not great on what it had ,but that is only a minor problem . Some broken glass bottles, litter ,etc. near to lift access ,should have been cleaned up quicker ,especially as there were alot of young kids staying at that time .

Review 55:We arrived early for a three night apartment stay ,staff were brillant from front desk to breakfast and dinner ,always smiling and prepared to go the extra mile to keep everyone happy . Food was good and everything was clean and very comfortable ,good value for money ,we will be back again

Review 56:The hotel was beautiful amazing views and the food was to die for , the staff were so friendly the hotel it's self was stunning I would highly recommend people to stay here

Review 57:The water was cold in the shower room, so cold shower was had! The access from the underground carpark was a bit eerie.

Review 58:A spacious apartment with very good facilities. A very good breakfast. pleasant staff.

Review 59:It was very noisy with drunk people shouting all night and we found it hard to sleep

Review 60:The aparment was clean we arrived early 3hours before check in and were able to get into our room. The food was also really nice and very good value for our money

Review 61:The only thing I didn't like was there was only room for one bed in the 2nd bedroom. I would have liked at least two .Otherwise perfect accommodation.

Review 62:Good value for money. Very comfortable and we had a lovely view .Staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent and served up to11am which was brilliant so we could have a lie in..

Review 63:Wonderful staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartments are clean, spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The location was easy to find.

Review 64:The apartments were advertised as "self-catering" but when we arrived we were very disappointed as there was no cooker or oven. We had to serve 15 people using microwaves. When we complained to reception we were told that if we had requested a self-catering apartment, they would have provided one. Self-catering is what phase used to describe the apartments. We found mould on one of the bed sheets-again said it to reception and told us that they don't launder their own linen but that they would mention it to household staff. We also had to ask 5 times for our rooms to cleaned on the Sat, twice in person and 3 times over the phone. It took them until 7pm that evening to do it.

Review 65:The food in the restaurant was delicious. Cocktail class was fun and great value for money. The hotel had a band playing for us on the Fri night which was greatly appreciated as they don't normally have live music on a Fri. Dinner was booked for us in a seperate room and the table was beautifully decorated.

Review 66:Front desk staff is not very friendly. The car park is awful. Breakfast is OK at best - buffet. One day we got there with a half hour to go to the end of breakfast and there was no food left. They did graciously cook us a full Irish though. The kitchen is not well equipped though. It wasn't a problem for us as we weren't cooking but could be for a family. Could have used a kitchen towel or some kitchen roll though. Bit cheap on this type of thing.

Review 67:We had an apartment and it was very spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have a balcony also. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Nice pub across the street (the bar at the hotel was weird).

Review 68:The staff were wonderful, from the lady who ensured the weary travelers were fed tho the kitchen was shut, to the breakfast staff who allowed us relax over a 2 & half hour chat in the dining room, to the receptionist who turned a blind eye to a slightly later check out. Local characters with local knowledge and a true sense of hospitality!

Review 69:We booked 2 x 5 bedroom apartments and the small print did mention that not all apartments come with a cooker which is true! One of the apartments had no cooker - problem if you are SC! So if booking any of the apartments - make sure you ask for one with a cooker and I would furhter recommend you bring most things you need for self catering with you (saucepans, few cups/glasses, plates, items of cutlery provided).

Review 70:Staff very friendly and helpful and apartments spotless and towels changed daily. Good variety of food at breakfast. Great location - very central for travelling to surrounding areas plus Mullingar itself is quite a big town Plenty to do around the area for younger and older children/couples young and young at heart! No pool in hotel but one just across the park. .

Review 71:There was a window in the bedroom of the apartment which faced onto the corridor. Late night guests returning to their rooms and chatting loudly woke me on two occasions. No blame attached to the hotel. Guests could have been quieter!

Review 72:Great value for money. Food was excellent. Apartment was very spacious and there was a lovely view over the Town Park.

Review 73:No Internet in the rooms, in modern day living this could be classes as a necessity, but was available free in hotel foyer No cooker in our room, microwave was available along with all other required facilities.

Review 74:More or less everything, will stay there again on my next trips, see previous review. Highly recommend for any travellers.

Review 75:No wine-find in rooms? Car parking, this could be construed as nit picking, as we stayed when 3 weddings were taking place and the place was very busy so car parking was tight? The other small annoying thing was locking the back gate about 5 pm?

Review 76:Area: good for all amenities. Staff: excellent, very helpfull, always courteous and smiling. Breakfast: excellent and plentiful people. Carvery: a good selection of food in the afternoon and very enjoyable. In general a most enjoyable stay and would highly recommend the hotel to others.

Review 77:Only drawback was there was no wifi in the apartments only in the hotel itself. But mirnor issue for a super stay will deffo be back :)

Review 78:Great spacious apartments with all amenities. Tea and coffee already in the apartment. Very clean and loads of towels etc. staff so helpful and food and breakfast was delicious.

Review 79:We had our wedding here and booked alot of therooms through booking.com Words can't describe how fantastic the staff and the hotel were...rooms were spacious and comfortable and I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

Review 80:The single bed was very uncomfortable as the springs were extremely evident under the mattress cover. I found the pillows too hard. The internet plug-in connection was placed on too low a table which made working with the laptop difficult. It did not stretch far enough to use the big table. There was no wifi connection in the rooms. Just a little tweaking would make this a really super place to stay!

Review 81:The look of the 2- bed apartment and the cleanliness. The kitchen, the leather chairs and the big, round wooden table were much appreciated. The bathrooms are lovely, especially the showers! The breakfast was very good. Perfect stop off between Co. Mayo and the Dublin Ferry. Reception was very helpful and friendly.

Review 82:The noise the water made when you turn a tap on or when you flushed the toilet. We have been in two apartments on two occasions and both were very noisy. A tea towel and washup liquid would be a useful addition and a full set of cutlery.

Review 83:The Location, the staff and the atmosphere
