Review 1：bad smell in the room, the manager on duty did not help to solve the problem. He said that he could not nothing to help, had to sleep with closed nose. It was a night of January 7 to January 8. On the seventh floor of all of the residents come to the corridor. and not who solved the problem with not a pleasant smell.

Review 3：They gave us 2 single beds, instead of a double. Hotel and the room were a little dated. Our room was very noisy and there was a constant noise all through the night - we think this might have been the ventilation system above our room. We phoned reception about this and they said they would send someone up......but no one came. The second night we resorted to having a few beers before bed to help us sleep!

Review 4：When we were booking a hotel we realised that Mumbai hotels are very expensive! This in the mid-range price bracket and was an OK hotel. It was slightly dated, but the facilities were good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size, towels etc were changed daily and the room had a mini-bar. Unfortunately the hotel didn't give you free bottles of water (unlike other hotels in India we stayed in), so you had to pay for it. Good points: Good staff OK rooms Good location - walking distance to the Gateway of India, bars and restaurants, as well as shopping at Collaba Causeway. All you can eat buffet breakfast (mix of Indian and continental).

Review 5：The rooms we got, although standard, were basic and not modern. Surprised that this hotel still uses shower curtains as the bath ends up a mess with water all over. Also, on the day we checked out I noticed the service changed. It felt like you were no longer a client and that the friendliness ends. Although they were still helpfull I could not help but feel that they need to make way for the next paying client.

Review 6：He Fariyas Hotel is well located in Colaba. Close to the Gateway of India, it is close enough to most amenities and museums and shopping areas. Staff are helpfull and friendly and happy to assist and very obliging. For what you get, it was reasonably priced in relation to other similar hotels.

The staff were friendly and even allowed me to used their swimming pool bathrooms to shower before leaving for the airport as I had already checked out. this was refreshing after a day out in the sun!

My baby was crying as he was feeling sleepy n we had to wait in the lobby till noon. Seeing the baby crying so much then the staff manage to get a room by 9 30 am .

Review 37：The hotel is a bit outdated at places and felt less like a four-star hotel than the other four-star hotels I stayed at during my trip. The breakfast was basic. The toilet in the room we stayed at had a problem, when another toilet was being flushed, the water would start bubbling and sometimes spill out on the seat and floor. Thankfully we were given another room after one night, a good solution.

Review 38：The hotel is in a popular part of Mumbai, a short walk from the Gateway of India. Lots to see around the hotel, the market, lots of shops, restaurants and a nightclub round the corner. The hotel has a small swimming pool, which is a nice on a hot day. There are deckchairs to relax on and a poolside restaurant.

Review 39：When I booked I specifically asked for a double bed, not two singles. I got two singles. I asked five different members of staff including duty managers to sort this out. Nothing happened. Eventually they pushed the beds together after two nights but it was not comfortable. The beds themselves were also not comfortable. Plus my room was incredibly noisy. Not from outside but from the aircon unit above my bathroom... It was like being on a plane.

Review 44：Although our room was lovely it was very noisy during the night. We thought it may have been the air conditioning but it still continued when we turned it off. It was a loud mechanical sound. We were very surprised at the taxes we had to pay which included luxury tax, various service charges and what appeared to be two different types of education charges. We never used room service so I don't think any of the service charges referred to that. Whilst the hotel is very nice I would definitely not consider it luxury. We were very disappointed at the lack of restaurants nearby where alcohol could be purchased. Probably wouldn't return to this hotel.

Review 45：The hotel is very clean and the room was nice with a very comfy bed. We had booked a superior room and were given a free upgrade to a superior sea view room. The breakfast was good apart from the bacon which was quite disgusting. The staff were friendly and helpful although we weren't shown to our room on arrival. I think a young man was supposed to but he went off to chat to the guy by the door and left us to it so after waiting a few minutes we figured we were supposed to find our own way.

Review 48：My mother, my brother and I stayed in Firyas Hotel, Mumbai for one this month Feb 2015. We absolutely enjoyed out time during our stay. The hotel is located in Colaba nearby the sea and surrounded with many shops that sell perfume and material. The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely sufficient. They make their best to make visitors happy, comfortable and understand our specific requirement. Food is really tasty and everyday there is a change in the menus. I indeed recommend this hotel for it reasonable price and the good quality.

Review 49：The rooms are small, the front office staff extremely rude. They tried to swipe my card despite Booking.com's commitment that the card is only for security. Also, their rates are without tax added in (small print), which is unlike other hotels I have booked or tried to book on Booking.com. The price for the hotel is far too high for such a category of the hotel compared to other offerings on Booking.com in Mumbai.

Review 51：1) Hidden charges - ~ 1500 - 2000 INR taxes, service fees, room fee etc.. ~ 10 different line items for extra charges 2) Minibar - is not only item found in the fridge, this also includes items on bed side table - in case you pay early for your check-out - at time of leaving hotel, you may find that there are 'missing items' from mini bar.. despite having paid all the bills at time of completing checkout procedures. 3) Breakfast menu not varied enough, for the price being charged overall, you might as well book in at another 4 or 5 star hotel nearby...at least it will be value for money

Room average size, duvet cover was not changed in the 5 days I was there. When told the cleaner then bedding was changed. Dropped something under the bed. OMG thick filth. Paid $75 for 4small bags of washing. White washing came back brown. Photo's on web are terribly miss leading. For the price its disgusting. Music from bar till 2am on a Fri&Sat night. You can hear it right to the 7th floor.Impossible that hotel is a 4star. In SA that hotel may be a 2star. I will never go back. When I read previous reviews where they said spend a little more on a better hotel, seriously you rather do that.

Review 54：Once Check In I requested the check Out to be @13:00 where the receptionist accepted, and they started calling me 5 times from 12:00 to leave the room which was very noisy and bad treetment. Once I checked In the guy in the receiptionist lied at me and told me we promoted your room class and once I checked the room I found it the same as what I booked. This reflects low level of treetment where they lie for no reason. The shower was broken

Nearly everything on this very rundown hotel was disappointing: slow check in; bad price-quality; poor swimmingpool; shabby, worn and not clean rooms; non-interaction between staff and reception; gym is a joke (as big as a cupboard). I booked a non-smoking room in Fariyas 6 months ago because I am allergic for the smell. However on arriving all non-smokingrooms were occupied. I refused a terrible smelling smokingroom and hours later (23.00) I got finally a room for disabled people with a heavy urine smell. The next mornig, after a horrible night, I got a non-smoking room. The neighboorhood is not as best as suggested. Slums very nearby (500m) and many drunken people, beggars just in front of Fariyas. At the end of the street is - not for nothing - a policepost. Conclusion: never again Fariyas. For a little more money there are so many better options. Don't go here!

MY FAMILY SAID THAT THEY WOULD BRING ANYTHING IN SECONDS ! , YOU ASK FOR AN IRONBOARD , IT'S THERE in 10 SECONDS , YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES TO BE TAKEN FOR LAUNDRY, THEY COME AND TAKE IT IN SECONDS, EVERYBODY LOVED THE SPREAD OF THE BREAKFAST AND RELISHED THE LUNCH TOO AT THE BUFFET. THEY WERE SO UNDERSTANDING AND SO HOSPITABLE THAT THEY EVEN WENT OUT OF THEIR WAYS MANY A TIMES TO HELP THE FAMILY AS IT WAS A WEDDING EVENT ! , EVERYBODY HAD A WONDERFUL TIME & ON BEHALF OF ALL THE FAMILY MEMBERS , I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE TEAM MEMBERS AT FARIYAS ! We've hired a transfer from the airport but nobody had this information in our arrival. At the last minute the hotel sent us a small car for 5 people and luggage and charged us more because we've "chosen" the route by the sea (toll).

Review 99：Bed linen was laundered, yet sheets still had permanent stains and the room showed general signs of wear. The bathroom shared a ventilation duct with the bathroom of the adjoining room. Light and noise passed between the bathrooms through rather wide slits on both sides of the ventilation duct.

Review 100：Stayed for two days at the hotel, located in Colaba, very close to attractions such as the Gateway of India. The area seemed generally safe and I experienced no issues walking around in the neighborhood in the evening. Front desk staff and door man were very pleasant and helpful. They also accomodated my request to change to a room without wall to wall carpet. Room was well-cleaned. Large safe deposit box. Hotel seemed safe and calm in general (albeit not sound proof neither from coridor nor from street sounds). Some variations in the breakfast offerings between days, altough nothing exceptional. Very good wifi coverage and speed.
