Reviews for Trident Nariman Point
Review 1:The only negative was that on our last night there were noisy guests in the next room. To be fair it was probably more audible because there was an adjoining door between the rooms. The duty staff did request the occupants to quieten down, but unfortunately they piped up again early the next morning. So not a staff/service issue, but a room design problem if you have more than one occupant next door.
Review 2:Lovely comfortable room, great views, good location. We really enjoyed the selection and service at breakfast. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
Review 3:Strong perfume in hallway on one morning as we returned from breakfast.
Review 4:The staff are all super friendly and always polite. The fit and finish is excellent. Location is so convenient.
Review 5:Excellent hotel in every respect, all the staff are outstanding, delicious food, fabulous breakfast, great bed.. And so great sleep every night, lovely pool and surrounding area and garden.
Review 6:Smell in the surroundings of the hotel. The room was not big enough for two of us. Bathroom was average for the money we paid.
Review 7:Friendly staff. Very Nice people. Room cleaning staff were exceptional. Nice breakfast, kitchen staff was very nice.
Review 8:Very helpful at front desk. Had booked 4 rooms for a wedding. They were very co operative for all my requests and very efficient. The guests were very happy with blast and the hospitality of the staff.
Review 9:Only a few snafus based on an overload of guests, room service orders. Nothing to take away from the
Review 10:Staff is very helpful and efficient; room service food delicious, breakfasts are a feast and the views from rooms are superb
Review 11:The checking in process was unfortunate, kept us waiting up 30 mins for our rooms to be ready, after which one room had a pungent smell of silicon. The duty manager however was extremely helpful and changed our rooms very quickly.
Review 12:The service at breakfast was amazing, the staff went out of there way to make sure we where kept happy
Review 13:Slightly on the expensive side but the excellent service more than made up for it.
Review 14:Specifically your front desk manager Hooshang.. He was extremely hospitable and made sure our stay was smooth as silk!
Review 15:Breakfast was slightly manic. They asked us to move to the mexican restaurant as the main one was full & we found out day 2 that there was a lot more choice in the main restaurant also we were asked to move tables even after we had started eating!! Wi fi is £10 for 24 hours. I thought that should be free for a 5 star.
Review 16:Everything ok except wi fi
Review 17:The room service staff would ring my room bell at 5 pm every evening just to check that I was happy with my room, this was annoying and on one visit while i was in the bathroom and did not respond to the door bell they attempted to open my room door and get into my room until i challenged them. This issue was reported to the management.
Review 18:1. The mobile network in the Trident needs to be fixed. 2. There is always some wait for breakfast. Trident should consider one big community table for single diners who don't need a full table 3. The AC in the room 2620 was noisy
Review 19:I like most things - I got upgraded, the staff are absolutely lovely and efficient, the breakfast gets better every time.
Review 20:There is nothing I did not like :)
Review 21:Superb hotel friendly staff and management who always went out of their way to please you. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When you ordered something you needed from the room they arrived in minutes. Well done Trident for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable!!
Review 22:Security measures in place is a bit overwhelming but understand it is as a result of a past incident Had to wait in line to get a seat at breakfast
Review 23:Comfortable bed, spacious room Did not get a chance to explore recreational facilties Nice bar Regular taxis available 24/7 Only spent a night there - sleep, breakfast and left
Review 24:Frangipani restaurant is very pricey even for western standards. The towels were changed even though I left them hanging, this bothered me as I'm concerned about the environment and wouldn't like to think this is the usual daily practice (that's a lot of towels!). Also, the wifi is not free, which I find slightly ridiculous in this day and age.
Review 25:Breakfast buffet with one of the best selection I've seen to date (not just in India), super attentive staff, wonderful live piano music in the evenings.
Review 26:Queuing up for breakfast at the Frangipani.
Review 27:The hotel was a great base from which to visit family, friends, the CCI, places of interest and shop in Colaba. Very helpful staff, 5-star facilities but laid back at the same time.
Review 28:We stayed in an Executive Suite on 20th floor which was superb in every way. The Club Concierge was the best we have ever encountered. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and the service throughout the property was faultless.
Review 29:The hotel was a classic 5* ...staff were excellent especially the concierge. Brekfast was excellent. Beautiful sunsets in the promenade front of the hotel.
Review 30:There are a number of things that we didnt like about the hotel- No welcome drink as said on the booking.com confirmation. The glass windows need to have better sound insulation ,We had an ocean view 30th floor room and yet the noise from car horns were audible during the night. The TV from the room next to us was clearly audible and caused a lot of disturbance during the night.Even the slightest of sounds from Lobby could be heard. The alarm went off at arnd 10 the first night and went on buzzing for 15 mins. The rooms were way too small for the price. The breakfast can have more options.
Review 31:The location is excellent.
Review 32:Really, I couldn’t find something that u did not like during my stay.
Review 33:Amazing smiley helpful staff, great location, views, more and more and more never ends.
Review 34:Breakfast was good only it was crowded inspite of Breakfast arranged at 3 different location
Review 35:Trident & Oberai is my all time favourite hotel . Its very confortable
Review 36:I found a long time waiting at the morning breakfast between 9:00 to 10:00am that could be less space as compare to accommodated guest in the hotel.
Review 37:I like the location beside ocean and everything is very close. The staff is so friendly with good services.
Review 38:No free internet access, pretty expensive wi-fi packages. Reception queues sometimes long.
Review 39:Top hotel, excellent breakfast, good location to walk to most places in south Mumbai
Review 40:Lines for breakfast if one goes late during wedding season!!!
Review 41:One of the top hotels in Mumbai, great location, facilities, room service food, and superb breakfasts (try to get them included!
Review 42:30mins complimentry wi fi was a bit stingy for a 5 star hotel. The taxes on your accomodation in india were over the top and added the cost of another nights accomodation to the bill. This is not the fault of the oberoi but just thought other people should be aware. Restaurants in the hotel expensive.
Review 43:We were upgrade to the Trident Oberoi as there was a mix up with our booking. Excellent hotel but very pricy. Facilities are excellent and the staff are excellent. Breakfast was outstanding.
Review 44:Firstly I was given genius status so I get early checkin and latecheckin facility, but at hotel I came to know its subject to availiblityso when its subject to availiblity so what the big deal of genius , evenif I was not genius status they would give me room if available early. If on ur site you say benifits make sure you get it and shouldnt besubject to availiblity.I WAS NOT GIVEN EARLY CHECK IN. AND ALSO FOR LATE CHECKOUT I HAD TO ARGUE AND MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND. HORRIBLE HOTEL DURING DECEMBER MONTH. SO IF ALL SUBJECT TO AVALIBLITY SO WHAT THE BIG DIFF FOR GENIUS. ITS COMPLETELY MISLEADING AND FAKE THING.
Review 45:Nothing at all
Review 46:They need to rendering more services such as free airport transportation. Also, increase # of trash baskets and extra tissues inside the room.
Review 47:Location, cleaning
Review 48:We were upgraded to a Seaview room with a kingsize bed but required twin beds and had made this clear on the booking request. It took two hours to get a new room.
Review 49:Staff were very polite and professional.
Review 50:The only negative point is the rush in the restaurants. As soon as you put your fork and knife down your plate is taken away. I stood up to get something from the buffet and when I got back to my table all was gone, coffee, plate, yogurt and else.
Review 51:Strongly recommend this hotel when in Mumbai. Our stay was a very pleasant one due to the professional staff and the good location.
Review 52:I felt a little 'ripped off' at several points through the stay. Breakfast, whilst superb, wasn't included and was at least £10 per head which seemed a little steep and the restaurants were also very pricy (we ate out each day for a fraction of the cost). Considering how much we were paying I was shocked that wifi was extra; even the cheapest hotels we stayed at in India had free wifi. Finally, the price quoted was exclusive of tax and only mentioned that in the small print, and so it ended up costing another £60 more than we'd budgeted for.
Review 53:The staff, service, facilities, room and location were all amazing.
Review 54:size of room
Review 55:According to our guest, room was not big enough for two guest. room was small in size compare to other hotels were we stayed before during our stay in india.
Review 56:None.
Review 57:Everything about the hotel, from the quality of the accommodation, to the friendliness of the staff and the excellent food quality (breakfast at Frangipani). Couldn`t be better.
Review 58:The bed was rock hard which I don't like and the food for breakfast was not very fresh. Not as fresh as I've had at other hotels in India.
Review 59:The staff at reception were very helpful. It was close to all the tourist sights. My driver who got me to the airport on time was fantastic. He was happy to answer my questions.
Review 60:I had problem with the breakfast area.. My father is an old man and he cannot use the stairs, and the problem that i face it the there were no elevator take you direct to the breakfast area
Review 61:I liked The lobby, rooms, view and breakfast
Review 62:N.A
Review 63:What a way to treat a guest perfect five star reception awesome staff cudoss They keep in mind every little details they not only treat me good but they also treat persons who came just to visit me . i ll give them 10/10
Review 64:A littel bit disappointed by the facilities and the age of the hotel. Pool nice, but not excellent. Breakfast ok, but not the best tested during our stay in Mumbai where we moved around testing seven hotels in this area. Furniture in the rooma little bit "old and damaged". Sure that you will find better for your money.
Review 65:Good location at the norman point. ideal point to walk on the "corniche" with a excellent view of the bay.
Review 66:Food was not that good as compared to other hotels i have stayed.welcome dtinks were not provided on arrival as promised by booking.com
Review 67:The view, ambience, service and location.
Review 68:location was a bit out of the way for us as would prefer more bars and eateries in the area
Review 69:Great hotel if you are on business, lovely view of queens necklace and evening sunset. Pool area was large and clean. Staff and security were faultless
Review 70:Both restaurants inside the Hotel are very expensive, with no big reason for that. Paid 28€ for a Pizza and a Beer (Tax included)
Review 71:The location and the overall infrastructure are very good! People are nice and helpful. The rooms are also very comfortable, good looking and quite modern!
Review 72:We were extremely surprised to find that not only was there no wifi available in the lobby/restaurant, but that we had to pay $15 a day to have it in our room (which is more than similar hotels in the US). This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our time in India, and gave us the least for our money.
Review 73:The staff were very helpful and efficient and it was an excellent location.
Review 74:This trip unfortunately the Indian cricket team were staying in the hotel and India being India the team could do no wrong!!!! Unfortunately there was a party on the floor my friend and I were on, which was a little loud!! Security asked us to move behind the barriers as we were leaving!! But generally I love staying at the Trident, it was the first hiccup in many trips, so I really cannot complain.. Plus it was the crickey team the national religion that binds the country.
Review 75:I have stayed at the Trident many times and love it, the staff are always warm and friendly,
Review 76:I stayed for several days, two of which were at the height of the Diwali festival. This is not a criticism of the hotel but it's location, whilst being excellent overlooking the bay and the Queens Necklace coastline, meant that fireworks were exploding outside my bedroom window for a solid 10 hours. For the money I paid, there is little that I can fault this hotel for.
Review 77:The location is an easy walk to touristic centre of Mumbai yet far enough away to feel you have escaped from the madness, which, for me in India, is important. The service is excellent and the facilities first class and spacious enough to feel that the hotel is nearly empty, even when full.
Review 78:The only reason why I didn't give full 10 is because I was annoyed by the extra charges, like the 15euros for the wifi and the 7euros for a single espresso to go. In terms of philosophy I expect a 5* hotel to be expensive to enter but reasonable in pricing at least the most basic services.
Review 79:Staff was very friendly and helpful with our requests, like a super late check-out at 4pm without charges.
Review 80:Very expensive restaurant (9 EUR for a cappuccino, c'mon!), extremely boring neighborhood, nothing to do near the hotel
Review 81:Friendly staff, good amenities, nice view from the rooms and from swimming pool
Review 82:Our premier room did not feel like a 5 star hotel as it was slightly dated. Bathroom was small. Staff wasn't as helpful/friendly as in other hotels of the same category.
Review 83:Great location, comfy bed, great breakfast, free Mini Cooper shuttle service, great view from pool.
Review 84:The guest relations team were so proactive to get the cake m flowers for my husband, occasion being his bday. N by the time we came back to the room, they had already framed the pics they clicked with us n kept it in our room with a card n note. Awesome gesture :)
Review 85:The staff at the reception and the leve 28 lounge tend to cater to guests depending on their color...the response time at the lounge is sluggish..
Review 86:The housekeeping was excellent. Ms Kimberley at the check out was excellent ... Less time and very professional
Review 87:We had a perfect time at the hotel. As expressed through the ratings, everything was well organised. We wish to thank, in particular, Aditya (front office person), Parveen (the person who cleaned our room) and Chirayu (the person who helped in the kitchen (for breakfast) in regards to our specific demands).
Review 88:I dislike the push to have interenet access, because I had to choose more expensive room, than my booked from the site. Money exchange may be slight problem if don't have petty cach dollars.
Review 89:Everything was good, also food in that count. Room was cleaned twice per day. For sure sea view rooms are awеsome, but you should of course pay for this.
Review 90:Surprisingly no outdoor breakfast!
Review 91:The hotel was efficient, friendly and had a relaxed air. The food and menu choice excellent. Rooms were spotless and option of the smoking room a bonus.
Review 92:Wifi charges - should be free when paying so much to stay. Hidden taxes - would be better if they were included in the price.
Review 93:Just about everything! The staff were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating but not over the top. We were allowed to stay and use the pool, change room after checkout. Breakfast was excellent. The view from the sea facing room was phenomenal. A wonderful place to stay at the end of a month in India.
Review 94:1-I got a lots of bedbugs bites. 2- the reception no communication between the morning stuff and night stuff ,because i had booking from 19 september to 25 september .the stuff insist to pay pay although i made check out on day before ,thanks to the manager on duty to rescue me from the un qualified person to work at this kind of brand name hotels .
Review 95:the security of the hotel gates of , the room service .
Review 96:Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was beautiful and well-placed to access Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach and areas such as Colaba. There was an extensive variety of food at breakfast and the breakfast staff were very attentive.
Review 97:The dinner buffet was disappointing. The cost for a taxi to the airport was outrageous - I booked my own. The gym was okay but better value for money at Vivanta Taj.
Review 98:The staff were excellent. I hope they get properly compensated because the facilities are not worthy of 5 stars but the staff are.
Review 99:Got an unexpected charge for an early check in. This wasn't made clear at time of purchase.
Review 100:Beautiful hotel with very helpful staff, who always make you feel welcome and happy to take any requests.
Review 101:The staff was very helpful, professional, friendly and took great care of us! The club-level sea view rooms are superb and offer a fantastic view of the Queen's Necklace. The location of the hotel is also great. Would definitely like to come back again.
Review 102:Throughout the whole hotel, the temperature was extremely low. This is the only remark we would be able to enhance.
Review 103:The staff were so kind and helpfull. The room was very nice and the view was terrific.
Review 104:However, was very upset when got to know that wifi is not free when in todays world it is so important to be connected all the time.
Review 105:I loved the location and the overall ambience. Was awed by the hospitability. Enjoyed breakfast thoroughly.
Review 106:frightfully expensive in-dining menu !!! pick up and drop from hotel to airport not provided. Paid Rs.4500 from hotel to domestic airport on sep-17'th one way - felt bad!!
Review 107:The location was ideal ; the break fast was really good, the staff was friendly and courteous
Review 108:STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND MS. ZUBIEDA ASSISTED US VERY WELL HER HOSPITALLITY WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY FRIENDLY AND WAS VERY HELPFULL AS WELL AS MR ALRO AND NINOD
Review 109:The rooms are dated and needs a desperate upgrade for the prices theyare charging. A hotel of such a well established chain charges it'sguess over £9 per 24 hours of wifi usage is frankly outrageous. It'sa complete let down. When booking via booking.com the prices seemreasonable but on your final bill it is a whole different story when allsorts of taxes are included. Also the staff have a habit of overlookingreasonable requests from guests. I asked for the pillows etc to bechanged from goose down to normal because of being severely allergic toit and this wasn't done. Everything in this hotel is over priced.
Review 110:The location of the hotel is fantastic.
Review 111:The staff were friendly, kind and always helpful. The location is very good for sightseeing and safe for walking around on your own. Everyone seemed to care about you which is nice when you are mother and daughter travelling alone.
Review 112:Nothing Negatives.
Review 113:I've visited half of the world and been stayed in lots of 5 star hotels but I would like to say that The Trident Nariman Point Mumbai has his own Class. The staff was very helpful and friendly, their services was beyond my expectations. Definitely I'll be their guests again and again.
Review 114:Nothing
Review 115:Gorgeous location with lovely ocean views. We were upgraded from a superior to an ocean view premier room which was spacious and lovely. The hotel is also wonderfully situated at Nariman Point and within easy walking distance of Colaba and other attractions. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to guests for the local area, which is excellent. We were very pleased with our stay.
Review 116:The hotel is fanstastically located on Marine Drive, walking distance from Colaba. The staff is very curteous and helpful. Rooms are airy and very comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. The outside pool on the terrace overlooks the bay and is a great place to relax after work.
Review 117:Customer service and the support good facility, Just one minor mistake collection from airport was not completed and in India it was a bad experience to get a taxi.
Review 118:Heating 1,100 Rupees for three slices of dry toast in the Veranda cafe. Having to pay for wifi.
Review 119:The staff, especially the thoughtful ness of the duty manager Deepali. The food was lovely. The amazing view over the ocean
Review 120:I requested for a complimentary pick up. No response was received and neither any pick up was arranged. There was lack of communication between the front desk and the room service. Eg my stay included complimentary breakfast but a bill was produced while serving the breakfast.
Review 121:I had booked two rooms through booking.com. In my booking request i had specifically opted for non smoking room with a king size bed. When I reached hotel I found that there are no king size bed rooms available in the non smoking category and I had to adjust with two small beds. I think my request was never communicated by booking.com to hotel. This is a good lesson for me not to book hotel through your website.
Review 122:The package of 3,500 rupees for Wi Fi access, breakfast, drinks and car to the airport was for each day and I thought for my whole three day stay. If I had known, I would not have paid 10,500 rupees in total. Poor communication and overpriced for a three day stay.
Review 123:Great location. Great staff. Clean everywhere. Comfortable.
Review 124:I was on the 31st floor looking over the ocean. The view was superb. I have stayed there before and always thoroughly enjoy my visit. The location suits me as I enjoy the Colaba area and a walk along Marine Drive.
Review 125:WiFi should be freely available to people who stays there as it doesn't cost much. Now days all Airport and Coffee shops provides free WiFi
Review 126:View from the room and hospitality
Review 127:Would have been icing to the cake if my room had a sea view but alas that did not happen........!! I will still use this hotel. I was surprised there were only 2 actual restaurants. In the earlier days it had 4 restaurants so choice was better those days than it is now.
Review 128:The housekeeping department has a very thoughtful person named Priyanka. She worked on 17th floor where my room was. She must have seen the screen on my IPad kept near the table had a lot of marks so she left a NanoClean kit with a note. Very thoughtful of her. She should be complimented.
Review 129:Paid wifi was a bit disappointing.
Review 130:The room was really great with a fantastic view of marine drive and the sea. The bed was really comfortable and the staff were exceptional in the level if service provided.
Review 131:Minor minor issues...ragtime jazz music....all that wonderful Indian music so a missed opportunity there.
Review 132:Friendly staff, well designed rooms (deluxe room after refurbishmemt), good wifi but with a charge.
Review 133:Well I travel a lot and usually stay @ Business floor. My only discomfort was the depth your wash basin in Toilet. It is too shallow for a table top set. It always spills water into guest as soon as turned on.
Review 134:Will come back again
