Newly-renovated in 2014, Hotel Wirtshaus Post is located in the pedestrian zone of St. Johann in Tirol, only a 15-minute walk from the Kitzbüheler Horn Cable Car. Review 1：The wine (per glass) was expensive approx £9 per glass for a very average wine and I'm used to London prices.

Review 2：Hotel Staff were very friendly - we had half board and our waiter always went the extra mile. We noticed he worked both the early morning (6am) and evening shift which for some, could become quite tiring especially since the hotel was full, however we were always made to feel welcome and the service was exceptional. If you're a skier you're a five / ten minute walk from the train station where you're able to get the train for free as long as you're dressed in your ski gear to any of the nearby ski resorts which is also a plus! I'm sure when it snows (we didn't get to see any during our stay) it would be a great place to visit.

Review 3：There were no coat hooks, which sounds silly but there was nowhere to hang wet coats.

Review 4：The rooms were large, modern and well appointed. We had a large balcony with a mountain view which was an unexpected bonus. The wellness facilities are excellent as was the hotel restaurant.

Review 5：They made reservations for breakfast only to clients with half boardand not to bb clients as we were and every morning the best tables were reserved allthough most of them were empty all the time we had our breakfast

We didn't stay half board so can't comment on the food but we ate out in lots of lovely places at reasonable prices. The wellness area was beautiful and very clean - a real treat after a day on the piste. Would love to return to st Johann and would definitely return to this hotel.

Review 21：We found ourselves missing the traditional Austrian character, one of the main attractions for coming to this region. The bedroom was warm & nicely designed & decorated but wasn't cosy at all. We found the bed linen a little on the budget side compared to other hotels we have stayed at in the same price bracket but still crisp & white so not really a complaint. The hotel lounge wasn't at all inviting & we rarely saw any guests using it during the 6 days we were there which seems a shame as the bar area has very limited seating but is really attractive, so we missed having somewhere to sit & relax other than in a fairly stark lounge or on our bed.

Review 22：Our room was comfortable, roomy & modern, brand new in fact we were the first guests staying in it since the hotel's re-opening after the hotel being completely transformed & modernised. Fantastic shower, brightly lit bathroom with hairdryer. Heated ski & boot room. Nice buffet breakfast & a la carte restaurant. Lovely bar. Right in the centre of town. Very friendly, helpful staff. Definetly recommend for comfort, convenience & minimalistic styling.

All respects goes to Peter and his girlfriend and Staff. the rooms where very comfortable,and had beautiful ski decor and style. The breakfasts were delicious and a lot to choose from, also sparkling wine in the morning! Food is good ! This location is perfect in the center of this town, parking included. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Wirthaus Post in St-Johann in Tirol!

Review 45：Our 3rd visit to this hotel, unfortunately it has now been taken over and doesn't have the same friendly, traditional and famil run atmosphere we experienced before. Staffing levels in the restaurant were not adequate, food was served cold on too many evenings, resulting in complaints and an unpleasant dining experience. Breakfast is a buffet and with a varied selection, Will go back to St Johann, but would not recommend this hotel any longer.

Review 46：The hotel is in a fantastic position in the centre of the town, close to shops, with a wide choice of bars and restaurants. Only a short walk to the Ski hire depots and cable car. Rooms are spacious, clean and have been refurbished with great showers. Free Wifi is always a bonus.

Review 47：The rooms was not ready when we arrived and they could not fix it untl next day. But rest of the week the cleaning was ok+. It said bus to the skiflift in the homepage, but that was not true. The skiing in St. Johann was a little less exiting than what we expected. It was ok, but Kitzbuhl was better and thus more expensive...

Review 48：Very nice hotel. Our rooms were recently refurnished in a very nice way. The service was great. It seemed they could not perform enough service... The food in the restaurant was very good and the prices was reasonable. Central location. Short distance to walk to the skiresort and the swimmingpool. Entrance to the swimmingpool was free for guests at the hotel. If you go skiing I recomend you leave the skiis at the depot at the lift and just walk back and forth. Closer then what they said on the net. Also not far to Kitzbuhl (use the train!)

Review 49：&Quot;We are coming back"We spent 4 nights at Hotel Wirtshaus Post in St. Johann in Tirol. The hotel is newly renovated, the interior of the rooms are modern and the bathrooms are very stylish. They are all very large and comfortable. The recently refurbished hotel (including all the guests areas like bar, restaurant, etc.) has a modern design with Austrain flavour. The hotel is located in the downtown in the pedestrian area and offers free parking facilities. It is just 2 minutes away by car from the closest slopes. We were on half board. The breakfast buffet was very rich and the 4 course dinner was very delicious. The manager, Attila was very nice and helpful especially that we have arrived very late or rather early morning due to weather conditions. He was everywhere day and night. The professional job that he has been constantly providing can be experienced when talking to him or other staff members. He had always have time for a little chat and the check if everthing goes according to his standards. If you stay at this hotel you will be treated with special attention for sure. We think that this is the best price value hotel in the region, maybe in whole Austria as well. We strongly recommend this hotel no matter if you are going for skiing or looking for a relaxing weekend. George
