Review 1：lunches/dinners at restaurant mediocre (i tried salads, chicken and risotto), basic, but it was off-season. second building closed oct-april, as are many shops, bars and resto's on the island for winter season. so there were no alternatives if you don't have a car.

Review 2：i was looking for quiet, away from the busy beaches, and that's exactly what i got #happy! 60+ room family-run hotel in the hills above zakynthos, 5 min walk to minimarket, 5 min more to bochalli village square and view of the island (with some bars/resto, but closed oct-apr), 25 min downhill to zakynthos town where you bump straight into the SPAR supermarket. 10min drive from airport, book taxi ahead online with zanthe radiotaxi (16eur). Very nice and helpful staff - booked day spa treatments at Alita's ( I recommend!!) Nice breakfast. Had superb, large room 323 in new building, pool and olilve garden+hills view, 2nd floor, and wrap around balcony to follow the sun around. no issues with wireless as indicated in other reviews, beds stirdy, but ok for me. cleaning/towels every day. If you want to visit the island: take a rental car, but I wanted to rest and just walked around the hotel area in the hills.

Review 3：There is no interior staircase. If you don't want to use the lift (for good reason as there is no lift mechanic resident on the island), you will have to use the spiral fire escape!

Review 4：We booked a 'swimming pool view', but in fact our wrap-around balcony looked out on one side to a fortress on a hill, and on the other side across the swimming pool and olive groves to the sea and distant mountains. On a clear day we could make out the hills on neighbouring islands.

Review 5：The Hotel is a little remote and there are no buses. We enjoy walking but very little pavement so you need to be very careful on narrow roads.

Review 7：1 location is bad, need at least 1hour walking to the town; 2 the bathroom water is very small! 3 the front desk staff gave the wrong information of airport opening time! 4 by Varres to book the half day trip is 22 Euro, but go to the travel agency and book the whole day trip only 23Euro.

Review 9：Rooms were too plain, no decoration, just a small bed and night table. Bathroom with no tub. Breakfast mediocre. Our special request for early breakfast was denied. No drinkable water, we were obligated to buy bottled table water.

Review 11：We had an issue with our bathroom light, but it was fixed quickly. The wifi didn't work for 1 of the days, but seemed to run fairly quickly for the rest of the week. The walk from the hotel to Zakynthos town was quite a distance so prepare for at least 20-25 minute walk.

Review 12：The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was good with decent quality food. The pool area was lovely and the views are amazing.

Review 13：Same as our stay the week before, the bed mattresses are very hard/study. You get used to it but the first few night a not that comfortable. (But I think this is normal for Greek beds..) Because of the secluded place, I would advise to get a car here, as you would get a lot safer to somewhere where you can eat out (Zakynthos city, Alikanas, Tsilivi) I preferred the car over a quad/scooter as you will feel much safer when meeting other greeks driving there (and you have Airconditioning ;) )

Review 14：The secluded location of the hotel made a very calm place to stay. Nowhere near any close tourist 'main street's made it so you can really relax. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with a lot of choice from traditional Greek dishes to croissants, bread, toast, a lot of toppings and juices. 1 word: 'Excellent' All the people there were also found of the quietness and there was really no noise at all (which is different on the main streets of bigger towns alikanas, tsilivi, Laganes,...;) The pool was perfect for a much needed cool off from the sun!

Review 15：internet was not very good we were not allowed with out own food at the swiming pool, it would have been nice to be allowed at least your own water or some sweets, things you do not find at the bar. bathroom was a bit old: the sink tap spreading the water in different parts; the issue with the toilet paper having to be put in the bin which seemes to have been a problem everywhere in Greece.

Review 16：staff was very helful and friendly, called taxies when needed, helped us book an atv to be able to move around the area, gave us info on local area and culture. cleaning of the rooms every day was very important and appreciated by us, made our stay more comfortable and relaxing. bedings very clean and white. breackfast was lovley, divers and plenty of food for everybody all the time with a few new dishes every day; loved the traditional table which gives you a taste of greeque quisine. swiming pool was lovley too and just the right depth for normal size people to enjoy it.

Review 17：The hotel is really close to the center of the town ( 4 minutes by car ) and I was more than satisfied with everything. Very clean and tidy, the cleaning lady changed the sheets and the towels everyday, the beds were comfortable and overall the rooms were great. If i'll return to Zakynthos I will stay here again for sure.

Review 18：I ve booked this room as a gift for my mother's name day. She was more than excited with everything at the Hotel. Thank you for making my mothers holiday special guys. Highly recommended and as for the price? Totally valuable, considering it is located in one of the most expensive Zante's area.

Review 19：Worst mattress I have slept on. Thought of going to complain but the other two couples we were on holiday with also complained about it, so I guess all mattresses were the same. When you not getting a good nights sleep then it spoils everything.

Review 21：There are two hotels one is old and one is new, directly across the street from each other. The new hotel is the one in pictures and advertised on the site and pamphlets which is what we thought we were staying in. False advertising. We had two small old rooms with old furniture with one standup shower with an old gross curtain I would not even touch. The bathrooms were retiled but I showered in my inlaws room. It really bothered me that it was my inlaws first time to this island and I had to put them in these old rooms. Had really hoped to have them experience the dream hotel that's advertised. We couldn't get another hotel because our car broke down and we were left really dissapointed because we had to stay .

Apart from the distance from the center of town or the beach, the location is great, and you can take a cab everywhere or rent a scooter. Review 24：Very expensive for what they gave. The pool was full of bees we couldn't swim because of it. The staff wasn't very helpfull or polite.

Review 26：I don't think it was the hotel's fault that I rented a family room for me and my girlfriend and another young couple so don't expect any privacy. I tough from the photos it was like a small apparent witch separated the rooms with a small hallway. Turns out the rooms ware separated just by a dor.

Review 27：The location was superb, the hotel size is just perfect not the huge comercial with thousands of noisy turists and not to small so it doesn't lack the bassic comfort.

Review 28：The only downside was the bed that was a bit hard and the pillow wasn't especially plump.. And then there's the fact that the hotel is about 30 minute walking distance from Zante Town and the road to it is pretty dangerous with constant turns and mostly no sidewalks.. BUT if it was closer, then it would probably be a lot noisier and not as peaceful, so it really depends on your priorities..

Review 29：Pretty much everything was amazing! The staff were really friendly and the food/drinks were great! A quiet hotel, always plenty of room during meals, the pool never had more than 5 people in it at a time. Very relaxing atmosphere and stunning views! Would definitely stay there again!

Review 48：The hotel is located in the middle of an olive grove meaning it is very peaceful. It is reasonably close to Zakynthos Town also and the rooms are spacious. The pool and bar outside are nice and quiet also.

Review 49：The property felt a bit outdated. The bed could have been more comfortable. The wifi connection was very poor and rarely worked. The TV channels cut in and out constantly, more our than in. The staff did not engage unless we approached them. They were helpful once we engaged them. I feel the pleasantries were missing.

Staff were very helpful in organising quad bike hire, giving directions, maps, and booking a taxi to the airport. Facilities were great- pool, pool bar/cafe.
