Reviews for Hotel Kastel
Review 1:The coast beyond the hotel, the beautiful pine trees, the brdge towards the old park. The origin of the hotel, which is an old monastery. The christmas market in the beach.
Review 2:Wifi only at the reception / lobby. Breakfast rather poor.
Review 3:Excellent location, few metres from the beach, nice place with history and atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 4:Parking at the hotel only for couple of cars, otherwise 7€/day Hard access by pushchair, stairs almost everywhere Older rooms No pool
Review 5:Landmark building Close to sea and beach Not very noisy Good value/quality ratio
Review 6:Not a bad experience just some suggestions. Internet in the lobby is inconvenient and would be better in all rooms. Breakfast our first day was good but on our 2nd day there was very little there, nothing replenished and there was still an hour left of breakfast.
Review 7:The location and room was great and very clean.
Review 8:No free wifi
Review 9:The hotel had the feeling of having seen better days, but we actually thought this made it charming. The front desk staff were amazing and so helpful.
Review 10:The food was poorly prepared, lots of trans-fats and grease, breakfast very basic, like in the social-realism times of Yugoslav tourism. There is no internet in the rooms (walls are thick, granted, but there are cables, right?), some fittings are falling apart and parking spots are hard to find. This is a place that needs a major makeover to fully use the potential of its tradition!
Review 11:Location is absolutely great, the staff is friendly, the building itself has a specific atmosphere of a former monastery
Review 12:Because of the location and the sea view our room was the most noisiest we have ever been to. Every single night we were woken up by random people shouting at 2am or 4am under our window. Party boat on sunday until 3am, no sleep guaranteed. If you close the window the room gets super hot, if you open it, you get noise. So if you are looking for sleep at night, don't choose sea view.
Review 13:The location of the hotel is excellent, only minutes away from the city center and a few meters from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late and left very early and got a "food packet" both times which was very thoughtful. The sea view from our room was beautiful.
Review 14:Public bar was closed after 9pm most nights other bar that was attached to hotel connecting door always locked nly local entertainment available at hotel one night of our stay.(which we did enjoy very much). No air conditioning but this could be expected in a converted monastry with a short season.
Review 15:Location to Beach, town & bus station. Half-board included drinks and although choice of food was not as varied or bountiful as a similar type hotel in Spain (although we paid very similar price)what was on offer was very tasty. Good mix of nationalities and "Sacha" the head waiter tried really hard to and requests in the restaurant. So did the chef This was the second stage of our trip we had already had 5 nights self-catering in Zardar so were looking forward to not thinking about food etc. As a first visit to Croatia we we loved the laid back lifestyle overall good value for money and a beautiflu country.
Review 16:Hotel was monastery so there is extremely loud and annoying bell tower.
Review 17:No Wi Fi in rooms
Review 18:Location
Review 19:You need wifi. This isn't the 20th century
Review 20:The location
Review 21:We were late with the breakfast (at 9) and we could get only the rest. The rooms are very noisy due to the narrow internal wall.
Review 22:The location of the hotel is very good.
Review 23:It is located in an old monastery and everything is still looking like it. Even the rooms look like it didn't change. In the monastery there is also a church which is still in business. So at 6am he will wake you up with the noise of the bells. Breakfast was ok. Staff wasn't good in English and a bit grumpy.
Review 24:It is nice located at the beach and near the city.
Review 25:No air con, and it was so hot. If we had not brought our own room fan we would have melted, and sleeping would have been difficult! There is no mosquito net for window/balcony door so we would not have been able to leave balcony door open, or we would have been bitten all night! Big over site for a hotel, no air con in any part of hotel. And no fans anywhere either. No protection to room from mosquitoes.
Review 26:Location excellent. Right next to town centre and beach. Breakfast was good.
Review 27:Az ingyenes parkoláshoz szerencse kell.
Review 28:A kolostorból átalakított szálloda: unikum, a crikvenicai riviéra érdekessége, látványa.
Különben napi 7 EUR a közeli parkoló.
Review 30:Ár/érték: kiváló. A hotel fekvése: ideális, minden elérhető 200-300 m-en belül. A strand: családok számára (is) ideális), a rengeteg fa természetes árnyékot ad. Személyzet: kedves, segítőkész. Félpanzió: változatos, jó. Nincs légkondi, de a vastag falak miatt nem is kellett (igaz csak max. 33 fok volt).
Review 31:no air condition, no balcony, poor breakfast
Review 32:it's very cool to know your are staying in former monastery. Rooms are huge, bathroom also. Staff is friendly. Grat location and beach.
Review 33:Great budget rooms right on the beach. I concur with the responder that said you don't need air conditioning because of the thickness of the walls of the old monastery/castle. Hard to beat the location if what you are looking for is beach time.
Review 34:Stairs difficult without lift to foyer impossible for disabled
Review 35:Good Location for town promenade restaurants nice Bar Staff and parents help talk to visitors staff very helpful
Review 36:We asked for a large bed and got three single beds and they did not replenish the eggs at breakfast.
Review 37:The price was affordable and the view was great. The staff was very nice and the rooms were spacious.
Review 38:Expensive, too much noise from the church's bell - starting at 6 in the morning....
Review 39:Good location and nice beach, availavle parking
Review 40:Excellent, friendly staff at the reception, location at the beach, near the town.
Review 41:There is room for improvement of the breakfast, it was vey basic. WI FI should be a must in all rooms.
Review 42:Location. Charming building.
Review 43:We loved it.
