Reviews for The Blue Door Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Room although a little dated was still extremely clean and very cosy.

Review 2:The location was excellent, staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was yummy and such a selection to choose from which was fab. Room cosy....

Review 3:Fantastic location and a really spacious room even with 4 people in it. More than that, we were late to breakfast and the manager was so kind, nothing was too much trouble & breakfast was delicious!!

Review 4:The location was excellent. The room was large and comfortable. The host was very pleasant and helpful. We were given keys for front door and bedroom which meant we could come and go as we liked. We appreciated being given the choice as to whether to have breakfast or not.

Review 5:The lack of street signage getting to the Blue door B&B from getting off the bridge into town.

Review 6:Central location, gorgeous host , Derek who helped with parking in front of his B&B, giving up his car spot for us to park our car.

Review 7:Very close to train station and town itself. We had lovely breakfast. The place clean but old and a bit miss matched but really good value for money. Definitely be back very nice owner couldn't be more helpful.

Review 8:We were a group of 4 friends with bikes and we were accommodated without any hesitation from the host. We were able to store our bikes securely inside which we were very grateful for. The host is lovely and we felt welcomed. B&B is right in the heart of town therefore location is perfect if you are looking to stay central. Breakfast was nice too. No complaints.

Review 9:The person in charge was very friendly and helpful. As we were cycling we needed to wash our clothes. He allowed us to us the facilities at the B&B. Nothing seemed to much trouble.

Review 10:I just found the pillows a little uncomfortable, but it's just a little thing, nothing important.

Review 11:The friendliness of the host, cleaniness, really lovely breakfast, would definitely stay here again.

Review 12:Absolutely nothing! Everything was lovely.

Review 13:Myself and four of my friends booked here for one night! I must say location is Brilliant within walking distance to restaurants, pubs etc like two minutes away. B&B was so lovely, and owner went above an beyond for us. Finally, the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be back to stay.

Review 14:The WiFi reception was great.

Review 15:The room was very spacious. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. The b/b was in a very good location and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend it.

Review 16:Great location, friendly and helpful proprietor, very spacious and comfortable room, had everything we needed, plenty of tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc in room, plasma screen t.v (dvd an extra bonus) tasty breakfast, will return on our next visit to Wexford shopping.

Review 17:We had a great experience. The staff was wonderful and helped us with bags, parking, directions and even printing of a document we needed. Just lovely.

Review 18:Parking was a little awkward but manageable. Wifi was very positionable. You had to find the right place to sit.

Review 19:Architecture was amazing. Loved the old style. Right down town with some historical buildings right around the corner.

Review 20:The wifi connection was not very strong in the room.

Review 21:We were very well looked aft throughout our stay, an ideal location with parking facilities not far away.

Review 22:We were on the upper floor and could not get Wifi but did fine without. No big deal.

Review 23:A great experience, super location, the place is spotless. The owner was excellent and should be very proud of his offerings. Breakfast was top notch.

Review 24:Very friendly b&b right in the centre of Wexford. Owner very helpful with local information and knowledge. Can't wait to stay with them again!

Review 25:Being Mediterranean and a pain, a bit more heating would make the stay perfect!! However the owner found a remedy to this problem by giving an extra heater, thank you!

Review 26:We experienced a couple of issues, which the owner responded positively straight away to by finding creative solutions. We were impressed by this type of service!

Review 27:A bit difficult to find, so we had to stop twice to get directions. If you have an app for driving, you should have no problem though.

Review 28:Arrived on our last night of a 2 week adventure in Ireland and had many bags to consolidate. The Owner carried our heavy luggage up to our HUGE room which we were so appreciative of. He made suggestions for dinner and we had a super night so close to the waterfront and town. We had to leave super early for the airport and he prepared a to-go breakfast for us. His dining room was so cute, we would of loved to stay. Parked right outside B&B on road. Would definitely go to the Blue Door again with children too!

Review 29:I'm sorry but, nothing. I honestly can't understand the good reviews. The b&b is very old, the beds unconfortable, the breakfast just about ok and the room and toilet tiny to the point of being extremely claustrophobic

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:Bedroom very clean, but oh so cluttered, get rid of the cushions and extras, lots of nic nacs everywhere, too much clutter.

Review 32:Fab breakfast, piping hot. Good location, didn't have too much trouble with parking.

Review 33:The breakfast was delicious and the owner gave us a lot of terrific tips for our planned trip. The location as right downtown, which was convenient for our walking around.

Review 34:POOR wifi in the room. Wifi was better on 1st floor, near the breakfast area. Wifi is a must for foreign travelers who need to connect, re-connect & make/edit future plans while on the move.

Review 35:Friendly & helpful guy working there (Thomas, I believe). Comfortable and well-sized room for 3 friends traveling. Comfortable beds.

Review 36:Nothing except contrary, disgruntled and 'forever find a fault' reviewers. Go to the corporate establishments if you don't want the personal places.....

Review 37:We had a lovely stay, our host welcoming and warm. Lots of tips for the town tourism. The house is Victorian so hence she must be forgiven her little eccentricities and the value and cleanliness is reflective. Derrick has a wonderful breakfast menu in a relaxed manner. Unlike corporate establishments, no rush, lots of personal attention and a beautiful personal house.

Review 38:The family room is great with a double and two single beds plus a sofa so there is plenty of room to spread out. The room has high ceilings, beds were comfortable with crisp clean sheets. Breakfast was memorable. Kids had pancakes and maple syrup while we enjoyed smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Helpful owner who kindly saved us a parking space on the busy street outside.

Review 39:The wifi didn't work very well in the room. Only worked close to the door. The furniture was a little outdated. No customer parking due to location and have to pay for street parking.

Review 40:We were pleased at how central the location of the B&B was. Just a few steps and you are on the Main Street for nightlife, eating and shopping. The owner was incredibly helpful and even went with my father in law to find parking nearby. You get a few different options for breakfast (which is included in the price) and it was very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 41:The owner kindly moved his car for us so we could park outside the house. He helped my husband in with our luggage up the stairs and was a friendly but not invasive host. Gorgeous breakfast & even our very picky five year old wolfed it down! Excellent value for money.

Review 42:My only regret is that we had arranged to stay only one night!

Review 43:Derrick was a wonderful host who gave us suggestions for dining and sightseeing. The house is beautiful with original artwork, and the quality of breakfast was outstanding. Parking was no problem, either, but Derrick saved us a spot right outside the door in case we had trouble! I will definitely stay here on my next trip!

Review 46:We could not open one of the windows in the room so only one could be opened to let fresh air in.

Review 47:The bedding/room was very comfortable and very clean. The Irish breakfast was very tasty and you had until 10am to have this.
