Review 2：The Galaxy was fantastic. The rooms and facilities were modern and clean, the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. It was also very low key and unpretentious - so you could relax and be yourself. Our teenage children loved it too.

Review 3：The weather is nothing they can help, windy. The view could be a little bit better but because of a car renovation place and Garbidge dumpsters infront of the hotel towards the Beach.

Everywhere was clean at all times, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool area was great with a pool bar and plenty of loungers & parasols and the location was spot on; only 50m to the beach, which you could see from the pool and not much of a walk into town. Bars and restaurants were plentiful both in town and on the walk to the town and harbour area. The hotel is on the edge of the town so it means it's quiet at all times and close to the beach. Couldn't be better. If we return to Naxos we'll return to Galaxy. It's also only a 5 minute drive from the airport!

Review 11：The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and we felt very comfortable here. The hotel is a short walk to St George beach (and viewable from the property) making this a perfect location to enjoy the beach and town!

Review 14：On our first night we were given a twin when we had paid for a triple....then we had to move the next day when a triple became available. Most of the staff were lovely but there was a really sleazy staff member named Stefanos. It was necessary to avoid him which made our stay a bit uncomfortable.

Review 16：I don't know where to start from: The personnel was weird (yet accommodated us at the end). Weird as in asking why we need an extra towel for example. We had booked a room with two double beds and when we saw a queen bed in the room and asked them to transfer us or change the bed they said they are not obliged to do so since it's only a "preference that you gave on Booking" and that means it's not obligatory for them. After all they changed the bed but made the point just to point out to us that we were wrong just for the sake of argument. The room was weird with the bathroom and bedroom being separated with a window with shades, which were broken and you could see the person in the bathtub showering. Not very convenient unless you are traveling with your SO. We called them and they came and fixed it. They charge 10€ for each beach towel you take from them until you bring it back. Towels are ripped and disgusting anyway. On our check out day, we received a phone call from the front desk at noon and the lady asked "everything ok? It's noon. Don't you know that check out is at 11?" Finally, we asked them to find us a car rental when we arrived. They happily did so but told us the rental guy has to come pick me up from the hotel and take me to his shop to sign the contract there. When the guy arrived (and had me go to his shop on a scooter...) and I asked why wouldn't you just bring the papers at the hotel he replied "they told me from the hotel to come pick you up, I could have easily brought the paperwork there if they had told me so." Bottom line, we would never be back. Oh, and price for Monday August 16 was 250€, price for September 2nd is 130€, quite a sweet markup for a 3* hotel, no? Just don't do it...

Review 21：The Galaxy Hotel is an ideal place to stay in Naxos. Comfortable, lovely rooms and a nice pool and pool bar. Just steps from the beach and close to town. The perfect location if you want to be able to walk everywhere. The best part - the service! The staff, especially manager Stefanos, is so friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

Review 38：Friendly, informative, all-round excellent staff. Eleni on the front desk was exceptional! Smaller, boutique style hotel with beautiful modern rooms, dining area, gardens, lovely pool with the beach just steps away. Quick walk to wonderful, charming village centre full of delicious restaurants and shops. The breakfast (included in our reasonable room rate) was delicious, varied, plentiful and included freshly baked chocolate croissants. The Galaxy is a gem!

Review 43：Helpful hard working staff. Location is very good being 30 seconds from beach and on edge of town so very easy to walk in. Rooms comfortable but perhaps a bit small. We had a "superior" double bedroom which thought would be bigger based on the photos. However quite adequate.

Review 57：Once the chambermaids forgot to lock our room after cleaning it. Pool wasn't heated. A little dark when walking back to the hotel at night. New plumbing fixtures, but can't flush toilet paper!

Review 59：It is rare to be received by Hotel staff without the officiousness of Hotel staff mentality. The people working in this hotel seemed more like friends one has known for years and yet their attention to the details of their prescribed tasks was 100% there. Magnificent facilities with a homely feel, an uncanny level of luxury and a stone's throw from the beach and down town Naxos. We just loved it and we're going back.

Review 60：Unfortunate arrival(late September) after a thunderstorm when a prolonged hot spell had broken. The wind (a light welcome breeze in summer) was strong - (think Scarborough on a rough day). Further down the coast is more sheltered. Weather did pick up and was warm and less breezy. Beautiful decor but room small for what was described as superior and the sea view (beautiful) was only really visible from the balcony. Shower had top and side jets plus hand held wand but this is only of use if there is hot water which was unavailable more than available - hair-washing in tepid water is not good. Pool too cold to enter.

Review 61：Proximity to beach and town with bus access to other beaches and coach tours of the island and sea trips to other islands. Beautiful, clean, light hotel, modern but built in interesting local style. Separate access, from outside, to each of the rooms - useful when returning from beach. Lots of restaurants in square, on beach, plus in Naxos town - all within easy walking distance and open late September/early October. Good self-service breakfast.

Review 62：The room was clean and modern but they really missed something in their bathroom ventilation. I'm sorry to be blunt, but while it looked clean, it smelled of urine from the very beginning - it wasn't us - my guess is they didn't put in "make up air" in their bathroom construction and there is no window to open. Because it's door is right next to the bed, leaving it open when sleeping to at least air it out wasn't an option. We were there for 4 nights and hindsight should've moved hotels. Also, the staff at the pool bar especially in the afternoon/evening, was rude and made you feel like she was doing us a huge favor to just give us a glass of ice - actually said "there has to be enough for me" and watched her tell another guest that they were out of the first 3 menu items they tried to order with not a bit of "sorry" - just "no, no more".

Review 63：The staff at reception were very nice. Breakfast had a fine choice of items and was maintained well but nothing special. The location was good - a short walk to the old town and good restaurants.

Review 64：Paid more for a "sea view", but we were on the first floor and really could only see the large dumpsters in the alley way behind the hotel. Some of the staff members were rude at times, but others were nice and helpful. Pool chairs weren't comfortable. They charged 5 Euros/person as a deposit for pool towels. Location was walking distance to town, but still further away than we would have preferred. WiFi was intermittent...sometimes was very strong and other times was non-existent. Some of the electrical outlets didn't work in the room.

The superior bedrooms are modern, very comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed using the shower; high spec with wide shower head and enclosed in glass. Bed was very, very comfortable. Best night's sleep in the Cyclades! Pool area is pretty and has views of the sea. Lovely hotel to the end of our island hoping travel!

Review 68：Galaxy is a very nice hotel located at the beautiful beach of St George. Its position is perfect as it is only 10 min walking distance from the center of the town, the shops and the restaurants and only a few steps from the sea. The rooms are very clean, spacious, modern and very well decorated and generally there is everything someone needs to enjoy his stay (Big TV, comfortable beds, A/C, fridge, jacuzzi shower etc). Also, we should mention that there is a perfect pool at the hotel, which is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the really nice cocktails of the pool bar. Last but not least, the hotel staff was fantastic and extremely helpfull and the service was impeccable!!!!!!! They gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and hotspots of the island!!

Review 69：This hotel is wonderful. It was refurbished in 2014 to a fantastic standard. The rooms are cool and modern – with cut stone feature walls and flat screen TVs. The bathroom was fabulous with a beautiful rain shower and high spec fittings. The location is perfect – its right beside the beach and a few minutes walk to the centre of town but still very quiet. If you don’t fancy the beach, there is a beautiful pool with really comfortable furniture and a lovely little bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, there were even hugs and kisses when we were leaving!!
