Reviews for Dooley's Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:we had a bad experince. it took ages for the heat to come on. we only had 1 hand towl and 1 bath towl for two of us for 2 nights. there was only 1 half roll of tollite paper. there was hair in the drain pipe of the shower. to top it all off we both ended up getting sick about 10 mins after we had the breakfast on the morning we were leaving. we felt ill for the whole day and most of the next day. we wont be staying there again.

Review 2:The location was very easy to find, we called and were given simple instructions, it was walking distance to anything we might need, and they helped us get a taxi later in the evening. The staff were very pleasant and even allowed us a bit of a lie in past checkout because we had very little sleep due to a very late party the night before!

Review 3:See above

Review 4:Location was great at the end of Main Street. Breakfast was good fullirish breakfast with good coffee. Rooms small. Mattresses really needreplacing. Need better lighting

Review 5:Stayed here for 5 nights the B&B is literally a minutes walking distance into the central town of Wexford. We were greeted on arrival with friendly faces. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Fresh towels were given on a daily basis. The best thing about this hotel is that it is ran by a fantastic lady called Angie who simply can not do enough for you! Definetley would recommend staying here!

Review 6:Avoid when chilly. We were so cold. Overall i wouldn't stay here again. Better to stay in another town out of Wexford or at Waterford.

Review 7:Nice breakfast. Hot powerful shower

Review 8:As we only used it for sleeping at night we couldn't find anything to dislike.

Review 9:The peace and quiet. when sleeping at night we were not disturbed by traffic, and also given the proximity of the pub next door, we were not disturbed at any time. Overall, a very peaceful stay.

Review 10:lots of stairs; room was cramped.

Review 11:Great location for walking around town. Short drive to Ireland National Heritage Park which was very interesting. Staff are fun, upbeat and very attentive.

Review 12:wifi wasn't working but didn't need it so didn't ask. No card machine so bring cash!

Review 13:Excellent location. Very welcoming staff, made us feel at home. Very nice and friendly people. Definitely recommend

Review 14:Unattractive first impression. Dingey, dark, small room. Very old and dated. Beds very uncomfortable. Pillows terrible. Bed linen very old but clean.

Review 15:Staff polite and friendly.

Review 16:Carpets have not been vacuumed by the skirting boards for a long time. Shower had mould. Wash basin too small to actually get a proper wash, rather just a hand wash basin, and nowhere to put anything down. Hand control for TV did not work and they had no means of making it work or replacing it.

Review 17:Friendly people

Review 18:Staff was very nice, informative and welcoming. We traveled in a group of three and they were very accommodating by letting us have two sets of keys. When we arrived they asked if we would be staying for breakfast the next morning and made us a delicious homemade Irish breakfast. A pleasant stay all around.

Review 19:We couldnot access free WiFi.Room is very congested,on arrival they told us in the morning full Irish Breakfast, what is full Irish breakfast? No private parking space.

Review 20:NOT A THING!!!!!!

Review 21:I stayed here the night before the Wexford Half Marathon. It was a great location only 2 minutes from the start and finish area. It was very quiet so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the very kindly let me check out a bit later so I could come back and have a shower and change after the run. The breakfast was fantastic and there was plenty of it so we were well fed before the run. All being well I will be back again next year for the event and I will definitely be staying here!!

Review 22:It was very cold weather. Although the heat was full on the room felt cold for some reason. Unfortunately at breakfast, although generous, the scrambled egg was not fully cooked. The last morning the table wasn't ready, andI had to ask for items. I felt their season was not underway and not a priority for them. I would not like a foreigner to have experienced the degree of casualness shown. I had to phone to arrange payment as no one around although I had indicated when I was leaving.

Review 23:The roorm had all requirements. The fact thtat it was open this early in the season.

Review 24:The room was not serviced for 2 days with towels and a toilet roll left outside the door. The en suite shower and toilet is small and was damp, and not very clean.

Review 25:Great location and was chosen for this reason. Excellent Irish breakfast, plentiful and hot.

Review 26:home from home angie is a fantastic host to say the least,we were made to feel so welcome, everything was perfect !! rooms very clean & comfortable, breakfasts were fantastic.

Review 27:From the time of our arrival we were made to feel at home. The house was warm and comfortable, breakfast was cooked to order and more than enough. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay

Review 28:3 beds in the room for 2, but this could have been arranged if rooms were available. Cold bathroom.

Review 29:Home from home, Angie (the owner) is a lovely lady. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, my daughter likes soft boiled eggs and there was no problem with fixing that for her. Great value for money.

Review 30:Light above sink wasn't working Towels were damp All bedding had been washed in highly perfumed chemical detergent which was very unpleasant as we are sensitive to artificial smells. I had to bring in my own bedding from the car, but still the smell woke me in the night and made my son's eyes water

Review 31:Hosts were friendly

Review 32:Family room was very small Fan dripping in loo right above where you sit on the loo! Towels were bit old looking, seemed damp and had a really strong masculine smell which I guess was from the fabric conditioner. Really strong chemical smell of washing powder in the whole b&b, when we got home all our clothes smelled of it!

Review 33:The room was clean Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast was good, good variety of options. Great location for us as we were attending a wedding in the Talbot Hotel. Nice powerful shower

Review 34:Dated bathroom in one room but really good bathroom in the other room.

Review 35:Excellent location, terrific breakfast with lovely hosts who really wanted to make you happy. Best black pudding of the holiday! Great hot water in shower and terrific internet.

Review 36:one little problem booked a twin room got a double bed and a mattress on the floor

Review 37:nice welcome very homely very friendly staff good value for money breakfast was beautiful and wide selection

Review 38:Booked double room (i.e. double bed) and was given to single beds which were tired to say the least. Damp towels. Flat screen TV with only radio channels. Room was not refreshed after 1st night

Review 39:Location & breakfast

Review 40:Nothing

Review 41:We found everything just great and Angie was very helpful when we had car problems, she could help us enough, thnaks very much we had a lovely stay. Nice and close to the great High St.

Review 42:The mattresses - cheap and uncomfortable. You could trace the outline of the springs by just touching the bedsheet. Towels - attempt made at providing good towels. However, velour quality of towels provides very poor drying quality.

Review 43:Excellent location close to all amenities.

Review 44:Noisy bar next door with music until 12:30 (Fortunately the double glazing attenuated the noise but beware light sleepers). Shower a bit tired looking but functional. Way too much fabric conditioner in the bed clothes the perfume was overbearing.

Review 45:Very friendly welcome. NIce room. Easy walking distance of the town centre.

Review 46:wifi available only in common area, in our case, 2 floors down.

Review 47:The people were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and warm, the food was great!

Review 48:The lady who ran this b&b was down to earth and room was comfortable breakfast was lovely couldnt of eating anymore. Would highly reccommend this place if you want value for money. Declan

Review 49:The towels weren't great! But other than that minor quibble the only other thing it really could have used was wifi.

Review 50:15min drive from Rosslare and easy parking. 2mins walk from the Main Street. Rooms are basic but clean, and breakfast was delicious!

Review 51:didnt like that we were on the top floor... thats it

Review 52:the location to the town is very good, its a nice friendly, clean building, rooms are cosy and big. loved that they had mugs and plenty of tea and coffee and a large kettle! We had an early start on the sunday morning, having to leave at 7am, they made sure that we had a lovely cooked breakfast before we left! Well worth the stay and we will be back next year!

Review 53:Nothing.

Review 54:The location was perfect - walking distance to everything. Free parking, which was a real bonus and free wi-fi. As a non-meat eater the breakfastwas amazing especially the mushrooms ;-) and nothing was any bother...Overall, we loved the home from home welcome and Irish hospitality.

Review 55:Had a great night's sleep here and they were very accommodating about my (very) late arrival - taking steps to make sure I could pick up a key. I was at the back and there was an unexpected and dramatic view of floodlit churches in the dark. Nice place and very central. Thanks

Review 56:Parking a bit tight and limited but it is located in town centre so to be expected

Review 57:Friendly family run B&B with a big welcome smile waiting for you couldn't do enough for you. The location was perfect right at the start of the high street and near pubs rooms clean and spacious breakfast was excellent have to try the full Irish

Review 58:Wifi wasn't great in the very top of the building when I visit but I think that was a temporary issue but again they invited me to the sitting room and made me a nice cup of tea as I was doing my emails Its not the most fancy B&B Ive ever been in but one of the friendliest and it put me in a great mood for the next days work

Review 59:Great Welcome Good room and there to help if they can. I had to be at work early so the proprietor got up early to cook me a full Irish Breakfast with wonderful homemade Irish soda Bread and all the trimmings ..
