Reviews for Sigal Villa

Review 1:Nothing!

Review 2:The host was super friendly and room is large. Facilities are good. Breakfast bread and yogurt are delicious! Cats are cute! View is pretty nice though not perfect. Great value for money!

Review 3:You have to be e real good driver, because the road up is not a easy and simple one with a very narrow and steep small road at the end.

Review 4:Perfect view over the whole island.

Review 5:The shower in the standard room needs to be renewed. A shower curtain is anything but pleasant: it is sticky and no matter how careful we were: after every shower the bathroom was inundated.

Review 6:The family is very friendly Great view Good breakfast Spacious room We were in the Junior Suite for one night because our standard room wasn't ready when we arrived but we didn't have to pay more!

Review 7:No bad experience at all but just a tip to those who would want to stay here: better to rent a car when you stay here because the area is secluded and there are no nearby restaurants around.

Review 8:Mr. Epifanios Sigal and the rest of his family who run this villa were all accommodating. The view from the balcony is just picturesque.

Review 9:This is not something we did not like. Just keep in mind that to access Seagalas villas you need a car or a quad.

Review 10:Mr Seagalas (the owner) and his daughters that are working at the reception desk provide exclusive service! They really do go the extra mile for their customers! Free transfers, advices and everything!

Review 11:Superb location with gracious and generous hosts. Hotel has stunning view from the pool deck of the caldera. Village life can be experienced in this location and there are very good local restaurants available at Akortiri. A great choice.

Review 12:Super friendly staff!! Mr. Sigal and his two daughters extended the most warming welcome and help to us during our two days stay. The Sigal family drove us to and from the nearest bus station before and after our tours on the island. On our last day in Santorini, I left three dresses in the wardrobe and didn't realized it until arriving Paris. I called and Anna helped send those dresses back to me all the way to the United States!!

Review 13:Everything was perfect.

Review 14:Everything. This was the best holiday ever and one of my favorite places in the world. The family who run the hotel are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and if you have any extra budget for your holidays, would definitely recommend staying there as long as you can :)

Review 15:Very isolated (some may see this as a positive). You had to get in your car to go anywhere. No taverna within easy walking distance. Very narrow road to get to Villas which would be a problem for anyone in a larger car. Breakfast was average at best

Review 16:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely views over Caldera. Nice pool. Good internet/wifi.

Review 17:Mr Sigal and his family made us feel from the start of our stay up to the very end that their absolute priority is the customer's satisfaction and well-being. Mr Sigal came to wait for us at our ferry. The hotel staff arranged for us to rent a Quad. As we were having some difficulties with the rental company, Sigal villa acted as an intermediary and even refunded us the claim that we had towards the Quad rental company. At all times the staff is smiling and helpful, the hotel is clean and always in good shape. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a stay in a calm, beautiful place.

Review 18:The family who run the hotel are so accommodating and helpful. The view is amazing and makes your stay. It's just a wonderful place to spend your holiday. It's ideal if you want a completely relaxing holiday

Review 19:Nothing really

Review 20:The location is a bit far, it's better to have car but the view is priceless and the staff were so kind and helpful for any thing we needed.

Review 21:Everything was exceptional ! The whole Sigalas family was very welcoming and charming and helpful !!! We will come back again for sure!!! Stan and Marion

Review 22:we did not like leaving!!!

Review 23:Mr. Sigala and his family were extremely nice. The gave us rides. Advice. You feel you are with your own family. Will never forget this place. Quiet. Peaceful. Perfect to spend some relaxing time with your loved ones.

Review 24:- Reception is not 24h. From 22h on you have to dial per tel (costs!) - Location requieres you to rent a car. It's nearly impossible to move arround by feed. - Breakfast variety is much below expectation - Water of swimming pool is very cold all the day - Room decoration is like 2-3 Star Hotel.

Review 25:- Friendly staff - Very clean - Nice look to the "Caldera" (inner side of Santorini"

Review 26:The very nice swimmingpool, with view on all the beauty of Santorini. The relaxed atmosphere. The hospitality of the Sigalas-family. The Acrotiri-site so nearby. The quietness.

Review 27:I have booked this property in order to get the most of my vacation. And my expectations were fulfilled. Relaxation at maximum, great view, peace and quiet. People at the property were very helpful, the room was clean and very nice furniture. All in all we had 10 fantastic days at Sigal Villa in Akrotiri, Santorini Island. I warmly recommend this property you will not be disappointed.

Review 28:We had an amazing stay! Stavroula is an excellent host always very smiley and available. The rooms are very spacious and very well appointed, the pool area and the view are gorgeous! Breakfast has a very good selection and quality. We would recommend this hotel to anybody, it is also a great value for money! Katia & Giorgos :D

Review 29:Almost everything good breakfast my wife loved the cherry tomatos and the yogurt ☺. Room was specious equipped with everything you need.Bed is comfy and room been cleaned on regular basis. Mr Sigal and his family keeping the place spotless, any questions will be fulfilled by the family. My 20 months daughter enjoyed this place too. If I ever comeback to Santorini will definitely choose Sigal Villa at Akrotiri as Fira and Oia is too commercial too busy and crowded. You can't simply walk there......

Review 30:Staff was very aggressive in enforcing the 12 pm sharp checkout. They knocked excessively on the door i was unable to hear since i was in the shower and we were so tired we overslept. We stayed for two nights and we hoped they could at least give some time allowance. But the girl said 5 minutes we had to be out. In kalestesia they were nore gracious about time and were more relaxed with checkout process

Review 31:location

Review 32:To keep it brief, this is a great hotel / villa. The family who run it are fantastic, very kind and nothing is ever too much trouble. Yes the location is a little remote, but that was why we booked it - to get away from the hussle and bussle of the towns. You'll need a car, but you'll need a car wherever you stay to really make the most of the island. Worth every penny we paid and would certainly stay again. Rooms cleaned and tidied every day and the breakfast is spot on!

Review 33:Nothing.

Review 34:- The views! - Closeness to the beaches like the red beach and perissa. - Quiet location and away from crowds or busy roads. - I was so guilt about the accident we had when we broke the table on the balcony but the owners were really cool about it and didnt make any fuss.

Review 35:Best breakfast yogurt of all Greece! Epifanio and his lovely family were invested in our wellbeing from the moment we arrived. What joy to travel with places like this.

Review 36:We had a car so for us it was not an issue, but it is a relatively isolated location - hence the relaxing atmoshpere. There is nothing around in a 1km radius (except a small mini market). But they arrange car rentals at the hotel, and if you have transportation it's a great place to be based at.

Review 37:We really enjoyed our stay there. It's a calm and relaxing place, away from the crowds. The rooms are very pretty, and with a fantastic view of the caldera from the hill. The hosts were very friendly and professional. They have a really nice pool, although the water can be quite cold when it's windy. The breakfast was really nice with fresh ingredients.

Review 38:We loved the location. The hotel had a great view. Even though we did not have a car, we were able to travel to the different towns by the local bus. The climb down to the village square was very scenic. It was through a typical rustic, lazy village. The family Sigala were very warm and helpful.

Review 39:The hotel ' s family is very very nice. Father, big sister, little sister all like friend. To take us to airport . We played very late, they been waiting to pick us up back to the hotel. Breakfast is delicious. Help me rent a car. Love them very much.

Review 40:Sigal Villa is a perfect option if you want to experience Santorini without the crowds of Fira and Oia, while still remaining close to the best beaches and having many fantastic options for activities and eating out nearby. The welcome we received was nothing short of spectacular, true Greek hospitality! Epiphaneos, and his daughters Maria and Stavroula, made us feel like we were part of the family from day one and made sure we enjoyed our stay. No request was too small, and we really appreciated the help with logistics like free airport/port transfers, arranging for a rental car (which was a breeze), and restaurant/activity recommendations. The view from the hill on which the hotel is located is nothing short of spectacular, and could easily compete with that of Fira and Oia, so we made the most of it by eating out on our balcony every other night, just watching the sun set on the island. The hotel itself is sparkling clean, and it is refreshing to see owners who really take pride in making sure their property is well-kept. There is something to say about a true family business where you can feel that you are looked after by people who put their heart and soul into what they do. We are definitely coming back soon.

Review 41:Bed mattress would benefit from a foam topper.

Review 42:Hotel hosts were excellent - pickup and drop off from the airport and hire car arranged for us. Immaculately clean, hot showers and lovely lazy breakfasts.

Review 43:The shower could be more modern. Wireless internet is bad sometimes, despite full signal.

Review 44:Very very friendly and helpful staff. Best panorama view of that half of the island. Great rooms. Great pool.

Review 45:It is located up a steep rugged track. So be prepared to do some walking to the village or not mind driving through narrow lane.

Review 46:Family run with love and care. Fabulous views a good size swimming pool. A quiet location. yet a pleasant walk down to Akrotiri which has small supermarkets and restaurants and a bus stop.

Review 47:The view, the friendly staff, sun on balcony in morning and cool in the evening, the remote and peaceful nature of the place. Be aware that if you don't like walking on hills you will need your own transport. I had a scooter and it was great. Staff did free pick up and drop off for port too which was so hepful. I wojld definitely stay again.

Review 48:The bed was not comfortable. Internet connection was very poor.

Review 49:Stunning view from the balcony. Very quiet place. Nice pool area. Fully equipped kitchenette. Good place to go to red beach and black beach, but you should have a car or a bike. Anna has helped us to rent a car which was two classes higher for the same price.

Review 50:There is no breakfast, bar o restaurant at the hotel, but you can buy drinks and food in the mini markets near to the hotel.

Review 51:The Sigal Villa is excellent, not only is nice and has a great view and very good price-quality, Mr Sigal is a very nice and helpful hotel owner that can give you advice y help you with anything you need in Santorini. I recommend you to rent a car, the hotel is far from the bus stop and is very useful to get around the island.

Review 52:? Breakfast not included ( but will be in 2015 ) ? What can you dislike when you receive everything ?

Review 53:Kindness of staff View Cleanness Size Very good money value ( although I am not greedy at all ) Free parking 1st Breakfast butter / marmelade / toast kit for late arrival Convenient location within walking distance ( 25 min ) from Black Beach ( very impressive) and good Tavernas...

Review 54:The mattress and the bed were not comfortable, impossible for 2 to sleep together.

Review 55:Excellent view, beautiful swimming pool. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Review 56:We didn't mind but you most likely need to hire a car/ scooter to get around if you're planning on doing some exploring- didn't bother us.

Review 57:Great staff, good facilities and a lovely pool with a view to lay beside during the day.

Review 58:NONE.

Review 59:We love the atmosphere and service of this hotel, delivered by a lovely and kind-hearted family. They made our holiday in Santorini ideal, with the contribution of the excellent location of the hotel, where we can have a wonderful view of not only the sea and the island. You can see a moonrise from the swimming pool if you are lucky enough to arrive the hotel during the right period of every month. In contrast to the crowded Fira, the location of this hotel is quiet enough for us to enjoy wonderful sleep, without any sacrifice in terms of transportation and closeness to the beautiful sites, as the red beach and a series of other gorgeous sites are very near to this hotel. Do call the hotel if you will not rent your own car/motor, because they can drive you to the hotel for free. We will absolutely book this hotel again when we come back next year or years later and will definitely recommend this fabulous hotel to our friends!

Review 60:Roads leading to the villa are very narrow but you get used to it. Wish there was a facility to prepare/cook food i.e. kitchen.

Review 61:My wife and I are very grateful for the support and pleasant time we had with our stay at Sigal Villa. (We wish we could have stayed longer). The owner and his family were very helpful with all the needs we had. We were even picked-up from the airport at an early morning hour. The location is excellent with a perfect view on Akrotiri.

Review 62:Beds were too hard. You need a car to get anywhere (recommended anyway on this island), but make sure to rent a VERY small car or you won't fit between the extremely small (but fun) road between the houses on the way there. Fridge and air conditioning were noisy.

Review 63:Great balcony view, very comfortable pool beds, friendly staff, peace and quiet. Highly recommend.

Review 64:The villa is located at the top of a dusty dirt track with a gap enroute between the buildings which is almost impassable by car. Thismeans local taxi firms refuse to pick you up from the hotel and you areforced into hiring a car. The cost is as follows. A taxi to Thira townis 25 Euros one way and car hire is 45 - 65 Euros per day. Themisleading photos on the website suggest food or at least a bar islocated nearby. Sadly all you are provided with is 'melba toast'with 3 butter sachets. The 'kitchenette' is comprised of akettle and fridge only. The nearest shop is 2 km down the bottom of thedirt track which is an impossibility with young children and the elderlyand there is no 'room service' or 'concierge' as listedincorrectly on the website. The pool is not heated and too deep to bechild-friendly. This Villa is not for everyone, and I suspect the owneroffers to drive his guests occasionally because they may be arriving alittle disgruntled upon seeing the reality of the very remote andinaccessible location of the Sigal Villa.

Review 65:The View.

Review 66:This villa is owned by a family who also runs it. The ENTIRE family was wonderful. They treated us amazing!!! The owner sang to us on his mandolin and it was beautiful. The view is amazing. The room was clean and so was the swimming pool. We will be back here for sure!

Review 67:Nothing really - the only two things that would absolutely make the place are a breakfast offering and a pool bar. These are both things they are working on bringing for 2015 :-)

Review 68:The father and two daughters that run Sigal Villa are just lovely - they are very helpful. The place has fantastic panoramic views over Santorini - you can see Fira and Oia, the caldera and volcano. There is a lovely calmness to the place. The apartment (we had the split level) was great - very well cleaned and the bed was very comfy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa to anyone wanting to visit Santorini. I would absolutely recommend having a small car though (the villa is at the top of a large hill and away from most areas)

Review 69:We loved the kindness of Anna and Sigal. We loved the location on top of a mountain with view to both sides of the sea. The view from the pool is stunning. The room was spacious and even a little breakfast was provided. Thank you!

Review 70:Poor WIFI Air conditioner in room always hits your head even if you put the swings upwards Breakfast not available

Review 71:The family that owns the villa is amazing View from hotel is outstanding Very helpful staffs Cleanliness Calm romantic area Pool always kept clean

Review 72:That I had to leave! =L Everything was incredible! =)It is a bit far from public transportation and main cities - but you will have no issues is you rent a car! =) Ok, maybe it will be wonderful if you have the option of buying the breakfast at the hotel. Although as I explained before, the kitchen has most of the things you will need to cook and also has a fridge - plus close by to the hotel there is a market were you can get food and wine (the day we arrived and the owner drove us to the hotel, he kindly stopped at the market for some minutes, so we could buy some things we might wanted to eat)

Review 73:I really do not know where to start!! =) I stayed few weeks ago with mysister and cousin, we arrived to Santorini by Ferry. The owner of thehotel was waiting for us, and he drove us to the hotel (this service isincluded with the room). He gave us information about the island, andwas very helpful answering all the questions we had. The bedroom wasvery spacious! The bathroom is new, the beds very comfortable, thekitchen has all the basic things you will need to cook (that is a superplus!!) and it was incredible to have the balcony with the table andchairs (perfect to have breakfast, enjoy a glass of wine at night, andadmire the amazing view!!). We decided to rent a car (I highly recommendto rent a car, we had the full experience of the island with the car, wedrove to the beach, Fira and Oia with no problem - per day is 55 eur(with the full cover included) and per day we spent less than 25 eur ingas). The view of the island from Sigal Villa is breathtaking!!! Thepool is always clean and beautiful, the owner of the hotel is extremelyhelpful and his two daughters are great people as well. At the end ofour stay we left the car at the parking lot of the hotel and one of theowner's daughter drove us to the airport (she was super friendly!!!)(this service is included with the room).

Review 74:no at all

Review 75:Staff are so wonderful and willing to help us with anything... beautiful view and clean pool, lovely room way above the average hotel we had in santo... will go back again, definitely....

Review 76:Only downfall was wifi, connection was unreliable.

Review 77:Everything! Staff were excellent, location was quiet and amazing for sunset views. Our apartment was very clean, comfortable and had great views of santorini.

Review 78:We were warmly welcomed by our hosts. They were very kind & helpful. We hired a car & enjoyed sight seeing. We relaxed by the pool & watched the sunset. Our stay was too short! We will be back to Santorini again.

Review 79:Mr Sigal and his daughters are one of the best host that I have ever met. They are incredibly friendly and always ard to give tips on how to best enjoy what the island has to offer. The entire villa has the typical white blue Greek decoration and is prettier than what is seen on the photos.

Review 80:The big boss is very nice and warm hearted. The location is near to the Caldera beach, Red beach and black beach. We also enjoy the swimming pool. It is worth to recommend the hotel to other travellers.

Review 81:The rooms are located on the top of a hill. You really need a vehicle to move around. A bit hard to find it for the first time.

Review 82:Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The view is great. The staff really helpful.

Review 83:Villa Sigal far exceeded my expectations! It was clean and modernly furnished, and the room was VERY spacious, way bigger than those you get in the more touristy areas. Mr Sigala & family were very welcoming and helpful :) Akrotiri is pretty far from Oia & Fira and a car/scooter is definitely needed. The road up to the Villa is extremely narrow at times and might be hard to navigate if you are (1) not used to a manual car, or (2) not an experienced driver. Apart from that, Akrotiri is quite near to Kamari/Perissa beach and far away from the hustle & bustle of the town area!

Review 84:The communication was great before arrival and I was met at the airport for a free transfer. The villa was large, spotlessly clean and had everything I would want. As I was travelling on my own, I just wanted somewhere which was peaceful with internet access so I could do some work in betwen relaxing. Sigal was perfect - I sat out on my lovely balcony overlooking an amazing view. I rented a car on arrival, and although I have noticed some comments that this was more expensive, it didn't seem much more expensive to me and the car was brought to the villa and picked up from there so I didn't even have to move! Free transfer on arrival and departure. The family were lovely and could not do enough for me - always asking if everything was OK whenever I passed them. I travelled around the island but, really found that I was so glad I had stayed here away from all the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of restaurants and shops if I needed them. The pool was gorgeous - again spotlessly clean, comfy sun loungers and fantastic to relax by. I definitely will return (didn't want to leave in the first place!)

Review 85:The staff were all very helpful and would do anything to make our stay the most enjoyable occasion.

Review 86:No bad experiences - just ask for soft bed.

Review 87:Very friendly staff and comfortable accommodation.

Review 88:I really appreciate the help/support I got from Hotel Owner's Family, Hotel view is excellent!!!

Review 89:Great Location with amazing friendly people.

Review 90:Everything was exceptional! We'll definitely stay here next time we visit Santorini.:)

Review 91:- access road not suitable for big car

Review 92:- View from the pool - Cleanliness - Friendly

Review 93:I would like to have access to the swimming pool area also after sunset.

Review 94:Amazing view,very good,kind owners.

Review 95:Trip around the island

Review 96:Everything about our stay was exceptional at this family run villa

Review 97:Relatively pricey

Review 98:Excellent, helpful and kind staff. Very clean rooms. Lovely location

Review 99:Ana was very sweet and welcoming. It was a beautiful villa with an amazing view.

Review 100:They were very friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay there.

Review 101:Location. Staf. Food. Relaxed atmosphere.

Review 102:Everythings was awesome!! Little bit far but it is not problem as lomg as rent a car! Relax!

Review 103:Friendly family run villa, always happy to help!! Felt like part of the family by the end of the stay.

Review 104:the owner of the hotel is very friendly and the devices is very nice. if you can rent a car here everything would be perfect

Review 105:good hotel. highly recommend.

Review 106:nothing at all

Review 107:The super friendly staff Great location and view Patio and poolside

Review 108:Leaving!

Review 109:Wonderful hosts, beautiful hotel, spectacular views!

Review 110:Shuttleservice is perfect The location on the hill of Akrotiri is great to travel around Santorin.

Review 111:You need a car as location is a bit remote to shops etc.

Review 112:Comfortable villa, great views, nice pool, helpful staff

Review 113:Would be perfect if a breakfast was possible in the hotel or in the room

Review 114:Everything
