Reviews for Hotel Kvarner Palace

Review 1:I would prefer a served, as of buffet, dinner, but, that said, the foood was outstanding indeed.

Review 2:A beautiful facility combining grandeur and supreme comfort.

Review 3:The staff work 10 hours per day. They attend to every requirement always with a smile. To be greeted first thing in the morning and last thing at night by the same 3 wait staff over 3 days says something about the wellness of staff and this should be addressed.

Review 4:The majesty and history of this hotel were breathtaking. This hotel was advertised as 4 star when in fact it is 5 star. The palatial scale of the hotel and grounds with open 180 views to the Adratic, are breathtaking. The original name of the hotel wasTherapia and when you walk around and absorb the perfection of this place, it was built with the intention of wellness not just relaxation. Cleanliness, perfection and unprecedented service (without pomp) are outstanding hallmarks of your experience at this hotel. Please pass on my comments to the director of the hotel ( lovely lady by the way).

Review 5:The staff at the desk should have explained the whole procedure in detais of staying there, such as eating, going to beach and so on, but they were a bit short.

Review 6:My room was with a single bed but large and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and a safe to lock up your valuables. Breakfast and dinner was served in an open space terrace with a beautiful view over gardens and the sea further on. The food was imaginative and plentyful.

Review 7:The A/C is not very strong, i checked two different rooms and both seemed to have the same output in air which was very minimal. After spending all day in the sun swimming and coming back to your room you would like to walk into a cool A/C room. It did get hot at night but thats it.

Review 8:Only a 2-5 minute walk to the beach, outstanding service, luxurious hotel and delicious food. But if that doesnt get you there is a lot of great places to eat at the city center which is only a 10 minute walk away as well as plenty of shops to look at and places to lounge.

Review 9:Poolside service was kind of disappointing since we could not order cocktails until 4 pm. Price is on the high side.

Review 10:Staff was excellent. Room was very nice with a lovely view of the ocean.

Review 11:Although the hotel property has a primarily German speaking clientele, they should also have a English menu.

Review 12:Beautiful setting, a grand old hotel yet very modern.

Review 13:- Attention: They do not accept American Express cards - only cash payment cards or cash - Background music at almost chamber-type - so you feel that you are at the memorial and not on vacation in Dalmatia - Hotel looks like you're in Austria and not in Dalmatia by the sea - Too early check-out (10.00), and too late check-in (15.00)

Review 14:- Extraordinarily decorated hotel - Great rooms and bathrooms in the rooms (in the bathrooms there are hanger on the door and the wall which is extremely rare in hotels at sea) - Hotel generally deserves better ratings than you can see them in reviews - Hotel parking is still finishing and probably will soon be fully operational

Review 15:The facilities were wonderful, outdoor and indoor pool, tennis, park, and fabulous views. The refurbishment of this elegant old building is exquisite. The manager and staff are helpful and friendly

Review 16:Too many package-tour tourists No "feeling" of Crikvenica...felt more like Austrian hotel Dinner was bland Breakfast was more bland No wifi Sharp dangerous step bathroom into room Furniture too small for room Bed was soft and small No stands for suitcase Cheap toiletries Ridiculous check out time...10 am??? Coupled with 3 pm check in? What a waste Drilling and jackhammer throughout the night on street (not hotels fault) Bedroom window couldn't be opened unless you stood on ledge Basin plug was blocked, didn't drain No valet parking...for a parking area200 metres away. Parking then required you to phone reception from gate on your personal phone - ridiculous At sunset there was no service at the lobby bar/ terrace..at prime time!!!! Only one person at reception at any one time. Queues formed. I've dreamed of staying there since I was a kid, when it was the Hotel Therapia. IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE LET-DOWN. Was a waste of money to stay here.

Review 17:Sense of history Pool

Review 18:Spa and sauna areas have limited hours...not open late or early. Beach is a little walk away down through gardens, out the gate, cross the lane, down through public park to beach lane. Hotel has private stretch of beach in public pay for entry beach. Front desk gives you beach entry tickets so you don't have to pay and a hotel pass to get umbrella and chairs in their section of the beach. The beach is sort of sandy, not pebbles like most of the Croatian coast, so water is not the crystal clear you get elsewhere.

Review 19:Loved the beautiful building and beautifully landscaped patio and garden with fountain, lovely pool, tressels, etx. Nice small spa with indoor pool, arttractive lobby and rooms and clean and updated bathrooms. Excellent buffet breakfast spread with good variety with tables in chandeliered restaurant or out on patio with lovely fountain and grounds. Staff very accommodating.

Review 20:The service was good except for the fact that everything is in German. Although the hotel is located in Croatia. I understand they are an Austrian company but they should definitely cater to English speaking guests. I wanted to book some spa treatments but the brochure is only written in German. The other concern was the bathtub. It was difficult to get in and out of. Very deep. Someone with health issues would not be able to shower during their stay. Overall good experience.

Review 21:The hotel was nice.

Review 22:Room was to small

Review 23:Everything exept room. Wiew

Review 24:beautiful building- with awful tacky style

Review 25:location

Review 26:The mature gardens were not well looked after. The beach, especially the crowdedness. The fencing around the beach.

Review 27:The food, pool area.

Review 28:The beach, it was full and hard to get a chair.

Review 29:Everyting exept the beach by the hotell.

Review 30:Great views, excellent service

Review 31:Everything from staff to room to facilities were excellent. Been traveling for a month in eastern europe and this is by far the best value yet.

Review 32:Hotel facilities and location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good benefits of use of private beach area and it's facilities.

Review 33:I think it is a good place if you are german and look for german food. But if you think you will see some seafood next to the sea you are absolutely misled.

Review 34:This place was outstanding! The facilities were amazing and the staff was so helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There is something for everybody!

Review 35:Booked sea side view, got view to local architectural inventions No internet connection in rooms. Internet connection only next to reception desk Only public beach, available 500m away for 2EUROs, incredible crowded. Small outside swimming pool, suitable only for children Food quality bellow average, ordered fish, got something like cooked bacon without any taste. Incredible slow lift Poor inside decoration, otherwise nice building. I had feeling I am in a sanatorium not in a four star hotel. There is for sure many better places (even in Croatia) for less money.

Review 36:Quiet place, nice environment Friendly staff

Review 37:We booked room with park view but we got room 513 which is having viewon 2 roofs and small part of sky...don´t accept 513 although the roominside was nice, clean and big. Wifi is very weak, working only indining room and not properly.

Review 38:Unique combination of location, huge park, belle epoque style buildingbut renovated, small welness and swimming pool outside with mediteriancousine makes this facility great combination for holiday. Dinner wasserved on the terrace with sea view and food was exceptional forcroatian hotel. We love this hotel and try another Falkensteinercertainly.

Review 39:They don't have own beach, there are beach, but you have to pay forentrance and for umbrella too

Review 40:Very quite hotel, with beautiful terrace, we had room with sea view, with big balcony, room was spaciou
