Reviews for The Swallows Guest House

Review 1:Nothing.

Review 2:One of the best B&Bs we have stopped in and we B&B many times a year. Cosy bed and room. Fully stocked fridge and cereals. A lovely conservatory to order and eat your chosen breakfast from. And very dog friendly. Barbara was a fantastic host. We don't normally return to the same place twice as we like to see and do so much. But The Swallows is the exception. We will be back. See you soon.

Review 3:Excellent, peaceful location, the accommodation was well equipped and far exceeded our expectations. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and cooked to perfection.

Review 4:The signage. On booking.com it was listed as The Swallows Guest House. The signage at the location had The Swallows B&B. I drove right past it as I did not realised it was the same place. I had to phone for clarification. B&B is a better name as it sounds more upmarket than 'Guest House'. The name really needs to be coordinated as it is very confusing, and is a big drawback in being able to find the property easily.

Review 5:The comfortable bed and the breakfast

Review 6:Nothing all good

Review 7:Friendly and extra care taken by the owner to make you comfortable - good size large bed and this helped get a great nights sleep plus warmth the room was well heated no way you could be cold and relaxing atmostphere would go back again well situated for my travel arrangements

Review 8:Having to leave!

Review 9:It is our second visit to Swallows guest house and it was just as lovely as we remembered. Nothing is too much trouble for Barbara. The accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Already planning our next visit!

Review 11:The Swallows is wonderfully cosy, is spotlessly clean, the breakfast is delicious and Barbara the host is so lovely and cannot do enough for you.

Review 12:Loved all of it

Review 13:Friendly welcome, flexible attitude. Beautiful location. Incredibly friendly, lovely accommodation. Wonderfully comfortable. Superb breakfast -

Review 14:Ground floor accommodation. Use of a fridge in the room .The conservatory where your choice from a good selection of excellent breakfasts are brought to by the hosts. Their hospitality and most importantly I could take my dog!! Would most certainly book a stay again.

Review 15:We loved everything about this place, warm friendly hostess, great setting, greatlocation for Llandysul and New Quay. Breakfast was wonderful pets and animals on grounds friendly and well behaved. Room great and furnished to a high standard with everything you need in the room.

Review 16:Maybe a more visible sign on the roadside...sometimes difficult to spot in the dark

Review 17:Our room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Barbara is very welcoming and her breakfasts are delicious. A beautiful peaceful setting, we had a wonderful stay.

Review 18:We had slight issues finding the B and B. Sat nav was not helpful at all!

Review 19:Great value for money. Lovely owner. And the absolutely adored how friendly all the animals were!

Review 20:A very private room with great facilities and Barbara looked after us very well. The room was very comfortable with all those little touches such as quality tea / coffee, bread and orange juice readily available. The breakfast was awesome and served to the room by prior arrangement - a wonderful way to start the day.

Review 21:Absolutely fantastic experience. Very friendly, comfortable and modern room with beautiful country side surroundings. Excellent breakfast. Very clean. Would recommend to everyone. Will be coming back

Review 22:Very nice host and fabulous breakfast - best ever had in England and Wales - recommendable accommodation - thank you, Barbara, for our nice stay at your house!

Review 23:Not much cupboard space or wardrobes. No kitchen sink but the sink in the bathroom could be used.

Review 24:Barbara is a very friendly and helpful host and there were more kitchen facilities than you would find in a hotel. There was much attention to detail given to make our stay more comfortable such as supplying bread/milk/butter and many other basic foods. A very useful fridge. Lovely breakfast.

Review 25:We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived at Swallow Inn - the Deluxe Family Room had everything we needed for a really comfortable night's stay. It's really dog friendly too with plenty of space for our labrador. The breakfast was amazing - 5 *! We wished we could've stayed longer!

Review 26:Accommodation was superb! Every last detail thought of - nothing too much trouble for Barbara - who went out of her way to serve breakfast earlier to enable us to continue on our onward journey.

Review 27:It was very peaceful and quiet being in a farm situation. Loved the independency of the self contained unit. The hostess was lovely, the breakfast was superb and she delivered it to the unit.

Review 28:Would be helpful if a ramp was available for wheelchair users to access the rooms a bit easier but I wouldn't go as far as saying I didn't like.

Review 29:Barbara is a wonderful host along with crumble the dog, Alice the horse and lamb who thinks she's a dog lol. Rooms accessible for a manual wheelchair to get around and very comfortable. Will come back again for sure next time we're in Wales.

Review 30:Beautiful, spacious room with private entrance in a peaceful location. We had our own little conservatory overlooking the paddocks where a delicious breakfast was served. Barbara was a fantastic host - will return.

Review 31:1. The place is not well sign posted and will be impossible to find if you are planning to reach late in the evening

Review 32:1. Veru friendly owner 2. Playing with horses and lambs 3. Breakfast 4. Decent wifi

Review 33:Barbara was a superb hostess, she was only on end of the phone if you needed her,but otherwise left you in peace to enjoy your stay in the tranquil surroundings. We all felt instantly relaxed as it felt so peaceful on the farm. kids and us loved everything, accomadation well equipped and comfortable and bfast superb!!

Review 34:Driveway was a bit corrugated and full of puddles,

Review 35:Lots of space, in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Quiet and peaceful, good to see the animals roaming around

Review 36:Not really anything major negative except the shower (although very large) has no shower curtain/door so the whole bathroom tends to get wet. It is also, as other reviewers noted, a working farm with many farm animals around. And although off a major road, a bit difficult to find.

Review 37:The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Just plain the best (and, well, biggest) we had on our whole UK trip. The lady in charge is also super-nice and helpful. Really an excellent B&B that we can recommend.

Review 38:nothing we did not like about TheSwallows..

Review 39:Fantastic location, comfy bed,Really well stocked mini kitchen and fridge with everything you could wish for, Friendly staff and Labrador, horses and sheep in the fields and a lovely view,,Breakfast was great in Quiet and peacefu surroundings, very relaxing stay..

Review 40:Lovely family run B&B. Barbara was friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. From our room we had beautiful views. Truly enjoyed our stay.

Review 41:We loved everything about staying here. Our family had the best time and the owner's are so very friendly!! This has to be the best place in Wales to stay! So close to beaches, small towns, and big cities both in Wales and England. Our favorite though, was to spend all day at Penbryne beach after the delicious breakfast that was served. Have lunch at the little cafe near the beach, and eat dinner in New Quay while watching the dolphins swim in the port and jump out of the water!!:)

Review 42:Accommodation is in a tin roofed converted out building standing in a very untidy farm yard. If I was booked for a longer stay I would not be happy with it as the photo is a little misleading. I live on a farm but this was more like a boat builders yard

Review 43:Friendly owner, great bed linen and towels etc!

Review 44:Very friendly owners, great with kids too! Let kids feed the baby lambs and play with their dog and feed the horses! They felt very at home and happy! Food AMAZING too x

Review 45:The small signage was difficult to see until you were very close.

Review 46:The room was spacious with a wet room bathroom. Barbara was a welcoming host and the breakfast was so good.

Review 47:The lovely owner barbara was so nice and welcoming, friendly and helpful I would recommend the swallows guest house to my family and friends. We will definitely be back :)

Review 48:Excellent accommodation, helpful and accommodating host, impressive breakfast (with vegan options). Really useful to have a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave in the room. Bathroom complete with lovely toiletries. Highly recommended.

Review 49:In lovely location with very welcoming host. Grand daughter fed baby lamb and played with Crumble the dog and there were horses too. Wonderful king sized bed so comfortable and a great breakfast with lots of choice.

Review 50:Loved everything, the location was great, accommodation clean, well stocked and tastefully decorated, breakfast very tasty, host Barbara was so nice and very helpful, it was a pleasure to stay there and we would definitely recommend this B&B!

Review 51:everything location, the rooms, and the way we were treated it was warm and friendly my 7 year old grand daughter was allowed to feed a lamb that was being weaned on a bottle is still talking about it wonderful my wife and i have booked a return visit

Review 52:Barbara guided me in over the phone after I got lost and then presented me with one of the best rooms that I have stayed in. Homemade chocolate grapes, as much tea, toast and other goodies as I could get through + a cooked breakfast delivered to my door. Cracking.l

Review 53:Smelt a bit damp from the wet room. I am asthmatic and all the pillows including the cushions on the sofa had feathers in them ! Only found out when I started to weaze. I'd recommend this B&B to anyone but do say if you have allergy to feathers

Review 54:Welcoming and friendly. Loved the chalet style room layout with own seating and indoor eating area. Breakfast great with good quality produce.

Review 55:Expected just a room with a few beds, but instead it was our own personal suite, the children even had their own room. We was surprised and overwhelmed by the stocked fridge and selection of breakfast materials available, and the games for the children were a lovely touch, the bed was extremely comfortable and the fresh breakfast delivered to our door was great, will certainly be returning as my 7 & 3 year olds where disappointed that they couldn't live there!! Thank you for a lovely home from home experience with all the added treats.

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:Warm welcome, easy contact direct with Barbara, free to roam round and come and go as you please. No hassle and felt like your home away from home. Great size property as not many cater for 5 in a family. Girls loved the farm style lifestyle and great beaches nearby.

Review 58:Minor stuff - hard to find in the dark and the fridge was very noisy during the night. Suggest moving the mirror to the dressing area for hair drying. Didn't spoil my stay just trying to be helpful x

Review 59:Privacy, breakfast delivered to your door at your chosen time. Great location and Barbara's cooking! !

Review 60:Such a beautiful farm setting! The room was soo clean & pretty.. kitchenette had so many hidden goodies owner had stocked up for us for free! Gorgeouse selection of tea & coffee (consume asmuch as you like) and breakfast was all homemade! Farm eggs, sausages etc. AAbsolutely delicious! So tranquil eating our breakfast in conservatry whilst several beautiful birds were flocking to also eat theirs where owner has bird feeders in trees. Lovely!

Review 65:The weather?! It was a bit cold indoors that evening, but the uber-duvet soon sorted us out. Nothing to dislike at all!

Review 66:A really comfortable and nicely furnished self-contained room, with a great conservatory to eat breakfast in. Was super impressed with all of it, including our own miniature kitchen and unlimited teas and coffees. The wet-room/bathroom was great, but best of all was the breakfast of champions in the morning, and the kind and welcoming service. Thanks very much!

Review 67:The location was lovely, set on a farm and the horses grazing in nearby field made it very relaxing. The room was v large, bed comfortable and big enough to get lost in! Washroom was a nice experience and breakfast in the conservertory every morning was a great start to the day

Review 68:The bed was a little hard for our liking.

Review 69:Rural location Friendly helpful owner Being able to self cater to a limited degree. Milk, tea, coffee, fruit juice and bread all available in the room as were kettle, toaster and microwave

Review 74:It's was a beautiful hidden gem, never thought it was going to be that lovely! The room and facilities where perfect the shower room was amazing then got a gorgeous supprise of seeing lots of Labrador puppies!

Review 75:A little hard to find. A larger sign on the road would help.

Review 77:Nothing not to dislike

Review 79:From the online listing we did not expect that it would be so lovely and peaceful and that the lodge would be completely separate with lovely French doors and decking which provided views over the water and sheep in the fields. The good weather brought out the distinct aroma of the overhanging eucalyptus tree!

Review 80:Nothing, everything was perfect! Would 100% recommend!
