Located in the heart of Mayrhofen, a 5-minute ski bus ride from the Penkenbahn cable car, Hotel Berghof features a large spa area, a summer outdoor pool and tennis courts. Free private parking is possible on site.
All of the spacious rooms and suites have a balcony and feature solid wooden furniture and satellite TV. The big bathroom comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries.
Spa facilities include a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an infrared cabin and a hot tub. Fitness facilities, squash courts, massages and sun beds area available as well.
During summer, you can cool off in the outdoor pool or play tennis and beach volleyball on site. There is also a playroom for children and bicycles can be borrowed free of charge.

Review 1：You have to pay €5 per week for bathrobe and leave €10 cash deposit. €1 for slippers. And this is a 4* hotel. Also, it needs to be refurbished, especially, the so called 'gym'.

Review 2：Location is convenient. Train station only 4-5min away. Skibus round the corner.

Review 3：Small SPA area for the number of people. Poor quality of the internet in some rooms.

Review 5：House Rules communicated after arriving there: the sauna and jacuzzi is 'full monty' In the booking site announcement is not mentioned the kids are not allowed in the jacuzzi and sauna (needed after a ski day) if they are under 15. So we paid the money but they could not go jacuzzi services. We would never have chosen Berghof and pay for the kids, if this was mentioned in the Booking site. Not a word there. When complaining about that the German receptionist was very unfriendly. During all our sejour, she took every chance/interaction to make us unhappy with her unfriedly attitude. Exactly the opposite of 6 Sigma :( "We took your money; now you expect us to offer you a 4 star service and experience? wrong answer - you are here to obey and keep silent" this is how we felt

Review 6：The restaurant staff attitude and food choice were from the other planet compared to reception service. Food quality, availability of fresh juices in the morning, hot soups in the evening after returning from ski, not talking about the kids joy in regards to icecream's, shtrudel's and cakes available were making our bitter experience sweeter :) They are 5 star!

Review 7：As a family run business we expected a little more of the personal touch, unfortunately this is not what you receive when staying at the Hotel Berghof. We arrived after a 9.5 hour drive from the The Netherlands with no welcoming smile, any interest on how our journey was, just a registration form to sign and a key handed over. The owner/manager (who was front of house) was miserable and by no means helpful. He should consider employing a front of house who is customer facing, as this really let's the hotel down. On the opposite side the waiter/bar staff can not do enough for you, although you do wonder if this is because they're working for a tip at the end of your stay. It's also disappointing to have to pay for wi-fi, really nowadays wi-fi should be part of the package. All in all a wonderful hotel however the owners/management let this beautiful hotel down so would not look to stay here again.

Review 8：As we approached the hotel it was beautiful with how it was all lit up, the perfect scene for a winter Christmas holiday. The establishment is large for a family run business with good facilities, very helpful waiter/bar staff. For skiing the location is ideal, even though the opposite end of the town with a regular ski bus everyday there was no problem getting to the slopes.

Review 9：As already told, the variety during the dinner was unbelivable! At the same time please don't expect the 'michelin' quality of the food. I would love that some of the reception employees be a bit more polite and tolerant with me (even if my german is not so good and I can't understand where the parking is).

Review 10：Unexpectedly beautiful experience! Huge, clean and comfortable room. Location is very nice: on the main street, close to everything (we where in the summer), high level of the service and attention to us. The most surprise was in the restaurant (rich breakfast and a wide variety during the dinner).

Review 11：No air conditioning in the rooms made it extremely difficult to sleep during the summer nights!! No water included on the table at the dinner times and all drinks were chargeable. Sauna opened at 4pm (same time all the kids clubs closes) so not practical, but I believe most hotels in Austria are like this.

Review 16：Old hotel with not that much charm. In the room more than 4 different lamps were broken and not changed. The bathroom contained old shaving hair so that cleaning was far from OK.
