Reviews for Hotel Vicko
Review 1:The wine was cheap but not very good - I would happily have paid more for something superior
Review 2:The very friendly staff could not have been more helpful. The service was excellent
Review 3:Poor breakfast with awful coffee. I personally didn't like the restaurant: average service, pricey and food is not the best. Little ants in room were eating all the food we've left on the table. Lack of refrigerator in the room (no chance to keep drinks cold) Soundproofing is poor.
Review 4:Friendly staff. Parking place, great sea view. Closeness to the sea. Air conditioner in the room just saved our lives, because it was too hot outside.
Review 5:Very friendly and helpful staff.. Food (evening meal and breakfast) excellent. Room clean and comfortable. Good location when travelling along the coast.
Review 6:All their staff was great, everybody was friendly and activly approaching to help. Especially the lady at the breakfast buffet took good care of each guest. Reception staff makes you feel welcome speaks perfect German, English and Italian.
Review 7:Smell of stale smoke in the corridor. Got cigarette smoke smell coming into our room in the morning from another room or the corridor. Decor needs updating.
Review 8:Clean, good spot for visiting the national parks. Ate dinner there 1 evening, went with the waiters suggestions, it was excellent
Review 9:Carpet floor, problem if you are allergic for something.
Review 10:Great beach Really good food Good parking place Nice environment Good air conditioning Clean
Review 11:Villa Vicko Is right on sea front was great to have use of sun loungers on the beach. Great value dinner and nice location on terrace no need to go out. Good variety of foods at breakfast.
Review 12:None
Review 13:It was right location for 1 night stay before arriving i Split
Review 14:Staff were brilliant Food was delicious Roof top restaurant was brilliant
Review 15:WiFi didn't work well
Review 16:Very friendly staff and an excellent restaurant
Review 17:The staff and service was great. We received quick assistance for an emergency
Review 18:room was small
Review 19:close in town center, parking, restaurant was very good, tourist agency - all in same building / area.
Review 20:Plastic shower curtain! Smell of cigarettes in the lobby
Review 21:The view of the sea from the balcony. The comfort of the bed and the quality of the food
Review 22:restaurant excellent food
Review 23:-Close to the main road (some rooms can be affected)
Review 24:+Good breakfast with wide choice
Review 25:Reception pushy to book dinner, room small.
Review 26:Close to sea, nice open eating area, good food. Motorcycle friendly.
Review 27:- Room is VERY old fashioned and NOT soundproof at all - breakfast was terrible: coffee is water with I do not know what (and I prefer not to know), pastries are dry and jam was not good - no toiletries in the bathroom
Review 28:- Easy parking - Flexibility of the staff
Review 29:Very close to the national park to do some trekking. Dinner at restaurant was very good. Breakfast was included. Parking available at no charge. Hotel was very helpful in sending a shirt that I had forgotten at no charge to my next destination. Thanks
Review 30:Nothing was wrong. Everything was really fine especially the good price!
Review 31:The hotel is in a beutiful location;the breakfast is really good and there is a lot of variety. The staff are really helpful and make you feel really welcome.
Review 32:No privacy: can hear everything from neighbours rooms. Very old style (cheap wood). Very dirty: molt in shower... I do not recommand this hotel. It is more a hostel than a real hotel.
Review 33:City close to national park
Review 34:Rooms dark and poorly lit, rooms seem old, not fancy.
Review 35:Great breakfast included every morning, big rooms, right on ocean, very near National Park, friendly staff, amazing value.
Review 36:The hotel was amazing. The staff couldnt do enough to help and were veryinformative. They took us to the entrance of the National Park andbrought us back free of charge. The breakfast was included and was verygood. Excellent value for money.
Review 37:Restaurant staff were not altogether courteous. Some menu items wereunavailable on both nights of our stay. Despite no 'Reserved' sign onthe table we were given a negative gesture of head shaking when we wentto sit at a table which it then transpired was being kept for otherguests. Discourteous and embarrassing.
Review 38:Good value offer on half board although we'd only booked b&B. Beachtowels were offered and made available. Bar and sunloungers by the sea.Reception and management staff helpful and friendly.
Review 39:The room had a very small balcony with an overview on a construction area and the air conditioning not working effectively in the room, I think it went wrong in the last days. Final amount of the invoice was suprisingly high compaired to the amount shown in HUF in the booking data due to the exchange rate between EUR and kuna.
Review 40:I liked the food at the breakfast. The beach was confortable due to the big pine trees, beds and sunshades. Staff speaking English quite well.
Review 41:The wifi was note available in the rooms. The room was sadly dark. The bathroom was in bad condition with almost no water pressure. The furniture in general looked shaby. The laundry service was ridiculously expensive. Overall, it was definitely to expensive for what it was. The city offers a lot of rooms which are much monde interesting.
Review 42:The breakfast was really good with a lot of warm and cold food. Clients of the hotel have a free sun umbrella and a free deck chair if they go to the "private" beach of the hotel. The beach in reality is not private.
Review 43:Very little to dislike. The shower was not thermostatically controlledand this was a bit of a fiddle to get the temperature right.
Review 44:Excellent hotel in a good location only a few minutes walk from thecentre of Stari Grad. This is a very small village and is an ideal 2 or3 day stop. The hotel provides umbrellas and beach chairs at the beach (over the road and 100m down a narrow path-perfect)which was very welcomeafter sitting on concrete in the rest of Croatia. The hotel restauranthas a great location on the terrace at the front and the food isexcellent and considering it's status very inexpensive. Every member ofstaff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 45:The shower water pressure was little more than a trickle. When I toldthe man at the desk about it, he simply said that Croatia has a lawlimiting water pressure. However, I did not experience a trickle of ashower in any of the other Croatian hotels we stayed at. In addition, the air conditioning was completely inadequate. We had it on full blastall night long and it was so hot in the room that my husband got up inthe middle of the night and went outside to sleep on a lawn chair! Finally, there was no soap in the soap dispenser in the shower. So notonly was there almost no water pressure in the shower, there was no soapeither. I can't imagine why the maid wouldn't check the amount of soapin the shower. I also found a leftover bottle of bug repellant behindthe desk, so obviously the housekeeping is slipshod.
Review 46:Location was good; the hotel is right on the beach. However, the beacharea (really more like a patio) was very crowded with other hotelguests. Not nearly enough room for the size of the hotel. Breakfast wasvery good-- a buffet.
Review 47:The bedding was a bit dingy, brown blanket with bedspread instead ofnice comforters with washable covers that most hotels do these days. They called it a private beach, but it seemed pretty public. Verycrowded with lots of kids around. Not bad though.
Review 48:Hotel Vicko was just fine. We didn't love it, but couldn't reallypinpoint why. It feels like a big, dark hotel, which seems a bit funnywhen you are right on the beach. Certainly the biggest hotel we saw. Thebedding was a bit dingy, brown blanket with bedspread instead of nicecomforters with washable covers that most hotels do these days. The roomwas clean though. The best part was the air conditioning. It was hot inCroatia when we were there and the ac worked well! Very cold in our roomand we had full control. Very cold in the whole hotel actually. Thebeach was just down the hill. They called it a private beach, but itseemed pretty public. Very crowded with lots of kids around. Not badthough. There isn't much to do in Starigrad except visit the park andthat's why we went. The hotel is very close (5 mins drive)- veryconvenient. You are able to walk everywhere (markets, restaurants) fromHotel Vicko.
Review 49:The furnishings are old and out-dated. The room had a musty scent to it.
Review 50:The breakfast buffet was delicious! And, the hotel was convenient to the sea.
Review 51:Most hotels in Croatia have free wifi but there was a charge here
Review 52:The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly
Review 53:the price of a bottle of wine
Review 54:the quality of the food
Review 55:The surroundings - many things to do and easy to reach. Suitable for different requirement.
Review 56:Only one reservation... wifi should be free these days.
Review 57:Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Amazing staff , great food, beautiful place.
Review 58:The staff was very generous and friendly. Very helpful with leading us through beautiful nature in NP Paklenica and city Zadar.
Review 59:I would like to thank you for the support we got when we were to continue to Hvar. Very good assistance!
Review 60:Ta hotel se zelo trudi za udobje svojih gostov (ležalniki na plaži, žar na vrtu ...)
Review 61:There was a spacious parking lot.
