Captain's Villa Sokol sells fast on our site. Captain's Villa Sokol is a stone-made villa standing in a picturesque bay of Lumbarda, surrounded by pine-trees and situated just steps away from the sea. Guests are welcome to sunbathe on the Villa's private jetty and can enjoy a number of exciting activities.
The apartments are modern and spacious and feature terraces which overlook the sea. Guests are welcome to use the barbecue facilities in the yard.
The Villa also has free internet access and free parking, as well as a 50 feet yacht for day excursions to Dubrovnik, Mljet Island National Park, Lastovo Island park of Nature and Hvar Island which are operated on a daily basis which are all included in the room rate.
Captain's Villa Sokol serves full breakfast, al fresco Lunch and farewell Mediterranean 4-course fish menu for dinner. Private Round Airport transfer from Dubrovnik or Split is provided.

Review 1：Hospitality was fantastic from transfer to end of our stay! Brilliant breakfasts - nothing was too much trouble ( lots of chocolate pastries sourced for boys!) activities included really made the stay - kayaks/mountain bikes/dune buggies. Perfect combination of relaxation and activity with great hosts ...thank you

Review 3：Amazing experience - Zoran and his wife and Dale and his wife were the best hosts we have ever had. The week (we did 7 days) was a special package as advertised it was a fantastic deal. A beautiful new spacious air conditioned apartment with a kitchen and 2 balconies with sea views. They supplied free transport from Split to Korcula and also provide personal driver and guide Tony for our connection back to Dubrovnik which included a visit to Ston oyster farm and eating oysters on the way. A free rental car was provided along with breakfast and lunch , bicycles , canoes and off road buggies( for vineyard tours ). There were activities provided as part of the package every day if you wanted to - a canoe trip with our guide Robert and trips to the Island with guides Mr Z (Zoran no 2)and Ivan to the island snorkeling and lunch including trips and guided tours on the islands Stipe , Maidan and Mijet with Captain Sokol (Zoran) in command on his amazing luxury motor yacht ( 50 foot long cruises at 26 knots powered by 2 Rolls Royce water jet engines 1000hp !). A day excursion trip and guided city tour of Dubrovnik with Mr Z followed by an excursion with Captain Sokol (Zoran ) snorkling in a grotto off the coast and lunch then returning back to Lumbarda Korcula .The whole experience is really amazing value for the money and my wife Theresa and I (Travers ) from New Zealand have nothing to say but high praise for the warm ,friendly , professional service Zoran and his team provides . We highly recommend the package. A memorable experience one we will never forget we intend to return again in the not too distant future . Korcula along with rest of Croatia is a truly beautiful ,very friendly place great people ,wine and food ,a boaties dream,beautiful sunsets , crystal clear clean water what more could you want .

Review 5：Amazing hospitality, nothing was too much trouble and we felt as if we were staying with wonderful friends. We were plied with delicious breakfast and lunch daily. The fresh fish grilled on the "gradele" was spectacular and we picked the bones clean. Excursions were well organised and an excellent opportunity to experience more of the island.

Review 9：The 2 B-R apartment has a terrace overlooking the spectacular Lumbarda bay as well has stunning views of the mountains. Free parking, wifi, kayaks, bikes are the positives that must be considered when looking at the price of the property. Breakfast was nice with made to order omelette, bread, cold cuts and fruits. The owner himself organizes adventure tours comprising buggy drives, snorkeling, motor-boat trips, etc. Blazenka and Zoran were great hosts. Thanks to them for making our trip so great.

Review 11：In Villa Sokol and Korcula you can see the real Croatia. Lubarda county in magical and so is the city of Korcula with its beautiful old town. Villa Sokol offers really great activities like free kayak riding and bike rental. We really enjoyed kayaking in the coast between all the beautiful islands etc. Old town and sandy beach are reachable by car in 5-10min, of course you can always walk or take the bicycle, because they are close. Restaurants are even closer. The owner and their family were really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed every second we stayed there.

Review 12：The location is close to the Lumbarda village, but it is a 15-20 mins walk. During the day it isn't a problem, but at night we used taxis to get back, so you need to consider it for groceries or if you want to go out.

Review 13：The apartment was spacious, well equipment and super clean. The owners where very friendly and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. The ability to use the bikes and kayaks is a big plus. The location allows you to go easily to Korcula old town as well. With the bikes you can reach nice sandy beaches

Review 15：The whole experience surpassed our high expectations. We received a very I warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts served on our own balcony with unrivalled views over the bay. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable: great bed and shower. Free use of kayaks and bikes helped us to explore but we were also very glad to have a hired car for visits to nearby Korcula town and other beaches. A day trip the island of Mljet on the owners' motor yacht was a highlight. A heartfelt thank you to the hard working and friendly owners Blazenka and Zoran - we wish you well!

Review 17：The top floor apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely and varied each day - I will miss them now we are back in england! The free use of the bikes and kayaks and the opportunity to go on trips with Korcula Adventures. Oh and Blazenka and Zoran were great hosts.

Review 18：Villa Sokol is unique: Very personal attention by the owners. The livingroom/kitchen with large terras overlooking the sea is like in a luxury hotel. Absolutely quiet. A welcome plate with ham and cheese and local whine withholds you from looking for a restaurant. Very close to Korcula island.

Review 28：Hosts were very nice. The apartment was comfy and well equipped. Bicycles were available as well as other activities for those interested. Close to restaurants and bars (walking distance). The views were beautiful. But best of all was the breakfast!!! It was HUGE and good quality. We even got a welcome treat of wine, ham, cheese and bread. I recommend it highly.

Review 31：A wonderful location - in Lumbarda on the beautiful Korkula island - combined with the very welcoming hosts made our stay really excellent. Zoran and Braja are very nice, always anticipating our needs while very discreet. Our 2 just girls just loved their youngest daughter (and the semi-wild cat as well...) meaning that we had quite relaxing time as parents!

Theowners were really nice, very helpful and gave us free access to bikesand kayaks. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was veryspacious. The facilities in the apartment were excellent witheverything that you would need for self catering. The apartment wasspotlessly clean.

Review 36：Villa Sokol is a very friendly family run accommodation. Our hosts werereally welcoming providing a platter of smoked ham and cheese with acarafe of local wine when we arrived. Nothing was too much for them. Thefree kayaks provided 2 days of fun going round the coast and small localislands. The apartment was very well equipped spacious, airy andcomfortable. The balcony had a brilliant view and the breakfasts servedon the balcony each morning were varied and very tasty. We wouldthoroghly recommend staying here. We would give this 10 stars!

Review 38：The only disappointment with the appartment was the lack of a goodumbrella or better still a canopy on the balcony, it was just too hot tosit out without this. Blazenka was very apologetic and did provide asmall umbrella, she has a good one on order as the last one broke, sohopfully this will not be a problem for long.

Itwas a peaceful setting with very little going on which is just what werequired. The use of bicycles and kayaks was essential to exploring andeating out. Best of all was the owner Blazenka, she was never intrusive,just very efficient in every way, always with a smile and delivered agourmet breakfast what ever time we required. Many thanks.

Review 40：Villa Sokol was modern, comfortable and clean, and the owners were very helpful - even picking up Ferry tickets for us and offering to drive us into town. It was a great bonus to be able to use the kayaks, and bikes to ride to the sandy beach and vineyards. It was a close taxi to old town, and right near the water. We highly recommend Villa Sokol!

Review 42：Little to be negative about although as mentioned it is a mile or so tothe nearest shop or restaurant and in the heat we experienced the cycleride became quite a trial.

Review 43：The owner and his wife were great, the latter providing a fantasticbreakfast layed out on our balcony table each morning (at a time that weagreed). The villa is at ths top of a short but steep drive and was justyars from the bay where kayaks could be used free, as ewre sunbeds forSokol guests.We also made use of the free bikes which were really necessary (if you don't have a car) to get into Lumbarda cetre where you find the shops and nearly all the restaurants. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with gardens growing various vegetables.

Review 44：For the price paid felt that the beds were a little basic anduncomfortable. I think enhancing in this area would really make theaccommodation stand out. Everything else was pretty much perfect.

Review 45：Very nice lady owns this property and we were welcomed with wine andcheeses and meats. The breakfast was also pleasant and varied from dayto day. The view and location of the villa is awesome and so relaxingand the Island of Korcula is a wonderful place. Complimentary use of sea-kayaks etc is also a bonus

Bath towels at our disposal.Also kayaks and bikes were available. Very large and very cleanappartment, with nice view over the bay. Very well equipped kitchen.Quiet and charming location, but with everything you need nearby. Alsothe surrounding islands (mljet and pelsejac) are nearby and can easilybe visited. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone whowants to stay in Korcula region, and southern Dalmatia.

Review 49：Stayed here as part of our honeymoon. We had the second floor 2 bedapartment for most of our stay but moved up to the penthouse apartmentfor last night to help owners accommodate a booking. We were happy to dothis as they had been such wonderful hosts. Breakfast on the balconyevery morning was great, use of kayaks and bikes was great.Apartments are all clean with everything you could need. The owners could not be more helpful even giving us lifts to the ferry port. We will go back!!

Review 50：No air conditioning in bedroom, only living room so I got up a few times to sleep on the couch. Sounds a small thing but coffee in the morning wasn't good at all. Accommodation spacious but very basic decor wise for the price.

Review 52：We loved everything about Villa Sokol. The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, nicely-finished, spotlessly clean, well air-conditioned andoverlooking the sea and islands. Our hosts could not have been moregenerous with their time, hospitality and advice. We borrowed from theexcellent selection of mountain bikes and cycled through vineyards, pastwater teeming with fish, to the sandy beach and a lighthouse. Adelicious breakfast was served on our balcony, before we borrowed a seakayak and enjoyed kayaking to nearby islands. When we forgot our camera,our hosts helpfully organised for it to be transported to Hvar bycatamaran. Our only regret was that we could only stay for one night.Next time, we'll stay for a week!

We found it spacious and clean and they include a nice continental breakfast and some wine and a cold plate in the evening. There are nice gardens and convenient parking.

Review 56：Beautiful location, top of the hill. Gorgeous garden. High quality building materials. Lots of space. Everything was very clean. Linens and covers were lovely. Plenty of pots, pans, plates and utensils in the kitchen. The very kindest welcome. Fabulous balcony. Loved taking breakfast on that balcony to the sound of singing birds and the glistening sun on the bay below. Blazenka was so pleasant and kind. I would return in a heartbeat. I didn't get a chance to try the bikes, dune buggies or kayaks, but it didn't even matter. I recommend this location without any reservations, whatsoever.

Review 58：Spent 5 wonderful nights with our lovely hosts. The locating is stunning, use of the bikes and kayaks perfect for us and our friends. Great little village and incredible vistas and scenery. Quite close to the larger town of korcula with lots of restos and great old town. Our breakfasts were just want we wanted, and they were happy to tailor to our wants. The hosts are a really nice couple and their family and make you feel very welcome. I am already planning to return if we can.
