Review 5：The hotel is in a very quiet area of the island, Akrotiri, making a hire car a must unless you simply want to relax around the hotel the entire stay. The hotel claims to have a restaurant, but it doesn't really, unless you class 3 tables in a bar area a restaurant!

Review 6：The hotel staff though too few in number all worked very hard to try and ensure we had the best time possible at the hotel. All were incredible friendly and helpful. Dimitris, Faye, Katarina and Pavlos deserving of a special mention. Maid service also excellent.

Review 7：Rented a room with a private pool and found out that it did not have the cliff view from the picture (garden view instead). We told the staff and they moved us two nights later to the room that we thought we were getting. All in all it worked out!

Review 11：Getting away from what can be the overbearing Santorini crowds and relaxing in a tranquil oasis with view overlooking the caldera was a real luxury. The twinkling lights of Thira and Oia from across the island sparkle across the ocean at night. Friendly staff and the beautiful setting, food and cocktails made the stay an absolute pleasure! A stunning retreat. Some great tavernas in the area too.

Review 12：Wifi very unstable in common areas especially at the pool. Jaccuzi on the balcony would be deactivated after 21:30 to make sure the noise will not bother anybody else. Even though i understand and i agree on principle with this policy, they should allow jaccuzi until 23:00.

Review 13：Everyone was very polite and always willing to help. Great service overall! The cocktails of Nikos the barman were to die for! They genuinely love pets. The villas are at a great location, great views. If you want a nice relaxing quiet place Maison Des Lys is for you.

Review 14：we've stayed here for a week (end of july 2015) we had a junior suite with sea view and private pool, it was great. it's a quiet place and you need 15 min. by car to go to the city of fira. the rooms are clean, they changed the bedsheets and towels daily. the air-conditioned and water are 100 % in order. the staff are so friendly specially the receptionist "antonia", the shuttle service "costas" and the waiter "paolo" everybody were nice. the next time we go to santorini we will stay at the same place.

Review 15：We booked a junior suite with private pool. On the picture ofbooking.com and the hotel site you see a room with a beautiful view bythe cliff edge (not one picture of the junior suite with private pool bythe garden). But in reality there are 3 junior suites with private poolwith view on the garden. The pools are next to each other (1m betweenthem), no place for the seats (afternoon no sun), no privacy,.. And thisroom is the same price category as the rooms by the cliff, not ok!

Review 16：We were disappointed when we arrived, we had a junior suite with privatepool by the garden. After complaining we got the room with amazing viewby the edge for 1 night of our 3 nights. We appreciated very much theeffort that they did!!! The room had an amazing view... (You need a carwhen you go to this beautiful hotel)

The hotel provided free transportation from our previous hotel, as well as to the airport upon departure. The staff were also helpful in sorting us out with a buggy (ATV).

Review 24：stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as we wanted to treat ourselves. This is the definition of luxury to me : the staff, room/view/facilities, service, quality of food, all was absolutely perfect. Warm welcome on arrival from Alex, welcome drinks and room upgrade, discretion of the hotel. Superior suite - very large suite, warm pool overlooking the Caldera oriented south-est so great for the sun in the morning. Breakfast and service to high standard. Will definitely recommend and return.

Review 31：Personally we would have preferred if there would have been a dining room or restaurant where we could have taken breakfast rather than only in our suite as we found that food and coffee get cold on the way from the kitchen to the suite. We would also like to have had a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the suite.We understand that this is being considered for next year. A car is a necessity here but can easily be booked by the hotel staff

The staff were very helpful and friendly . Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and it was a real treat having it served in our room. The junior suite was spacious and well designed with a small terrace looking over Santorini.. The hotel was very quiet although there were only a few other guests, so in high season it would be livelier. A real haven away from the tourist bustle of the towns. There is a great tavern just behind the hotel, about 100 metres away which served traditional food at reasonable prices. Maison Des Lys made our stay most enjoyable, even though we were disappointed in Santorini itself.

Review 75：Similar to other prior reviews, our stay at Maison Des Lys was perfect. The staff (Claudia, Jon, Nicholas, etc.) are incredibly welcoming. Some other reviews note that the hotel is far from Fira and Oia, however, we loved this. We were able to rent ATVs (that Claudia kindly arranged for us) and explore the whole island, which is not that big. We stayed at multiple hotels, including a 5-star hotel on Mykonos. Nothing compared to our stay at Maison Des Lys. If you are considering staying here do it! You will not be disappointed. Hopefully we will return to Santorini and if we do, we will be staying at Maison Des Lys without question.

We were away from the crowds (oia is crawling with people), had a fantastic view- from our room to our intimate sunset dinner, and felt relaxed the whole time.
