Reviews for Galatis Hotel
Review 1:The worst breakfast we have ever seen and tasted. Staff was unwilling to help, not polite and provided room initially was not the one we have booked.
Review 2:Location is one of the best in the island.
Review 3:Beds not really comfortable and poor quality breakfast (diluted orange juice for example)
Review 4:Good quality compared to the prize and beatiful sea view with a quite atmosphere. Nice place for relax time!
Review 5:small bedrooms. uncomfortable beds. small bathrooms. small bath. the water of the washstand was leaking on our food. crooked toilet. no soundproofing. poor breakfast. they charged a coffee during breakfast. unfriendly staff. the garden smelt like sewage.
Review 6:good location
Review 7:Closet and bathroom falling apart and quite small, unpleasant smell in bathroom.Mini fridge in the room was so noisy we had to pull the plug.
Review 8:Clean, good, soft brand new towels changed every other day.
Review 9:Hotel in general: great location with short walk to Alyki centre. Good and clean pool. Right on the beach. Bus stop just around the corner. Peaceful during nights. Restaurant: delicious local food with reasonable price. Good breakfast although there could have been some variation during the week. Rooms: very clean. The best view to the sea if you have reserved a room with a view (strongly recommended). Nice balcony. Staff: very nice and friendly owners and staff. Everything you needed was arranged without any delay. Pick-up service: from the port to the hotel and from the hotel to Parikia. Everything was excellent - we will return for sure! Our little girls would also like to send warm regards to "Uncle Galatis", their favorite with a lot of funny jokes to surprise and make them laugh.
Review 10:Loved the location, cleanliness, friendly restaurant and staff... Enjoyed the pool and sitting by the waters edge for breakfast or sundowners... Few beautiful minutes walk to nearby village and shops and plenty other restaurants to choose from. Very comfortable stay!
Review 11:We were made to feel very welcome, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Gorgeous location, delicious food and sitting at a table on the beach with our evening drink was wonderful. we had a great stay and would definitely return.
Review 12:Our digitized children would have preferred more cable offerings but I'm personally glad they were limited. Certainly not a problem for us at all but expect simplicity in the rooms. Hotel provided transportation centers around ferry/plane times but this is not a problem actually with the bus stop. Get the bus schedule on arrival and you'll be fine. We didn't try scooters but they are easy rented.
Review 13:Excellent pricing Very clean - a visitor walking the beach was unhappy with her hotel down the street was looking for alternatives - other hotels in the area may be a disappointment. Safe environment for families and couples. Very relaxing environment. Quiet nights. Breakfast on the beach or terrace Right next to bus stop for very easy access to rest of the island Greek music on the patio in the evenings Room ocean views and terrace We traveled with a larger family but the owner arranged to have us adjoining when we requested in advance. We would certainly return to Galatis Hotel.
Review 14:Our room had a septic tank smell 2 of the days we were there, and they refused to give us extra towels when we requested them. Wifi was offered but it didn't reach our room--they should fix that.
Review 15:Loved the location. On the beach, close to town and pool with a great view.
Review 16:The fact that we spent only 5 nights there...
Review 17:First - We really liked the fact that shuttle was waiting for us , on time, whitout waiting for other boats (very often in Greece), or delays. Then, the hotel is on excellent location 5 steps from the beach which has natural shade, 5 steps from nearby small store, 5 steps from big childern's playing ground/park and 5 minutes walk from vilage centre. The breakfast was super! I have red some people complained about it (usually the type of tourists who want to have free lunch instead of breakfast and then not to spend any money until dinner). Swedish table with fresh cheese, good ham, 3 types of bread, eggs, chopped fruit, greek yogurt, classics honey butter etc, toster to make tost who like, milk, coffee, tea.. Hotel has a very nice terase where you can eat your breakfast and later on order a lunch or have dinner. Even better they have put couple of tables on the beach and there you can have your breakfast/coffee/meal.. Hotel's restaurant is very good! Food is fantastic, freash sea food, traditional meals and very good house wine. Prices - very cheap! Rooms are nice & basic, but super clean, they clean rooms and change towels/sheets on daily basis!!! Staff is super helpful and friendly! They even rented us a owners car since at that time all rental agencies were fully booked. All that for very low amount of money!!! This hotel is best value for the money and fantastic experience we had on our round trip visiting santorini(thira)/naxos/paros/santorini(akrotiri)!!!! If you are visiting Paros - Galatis hotel in Aliki is the best place to have as calm base either for exploring the island or having a calm energy & soul recovering holiday! We will come back!!!
Review 18:Bit far from port, that's OK if you are not planning to move a lot. Hotel will pick you from the airport and bus station is very close. Breakfast can be improved.
Review 19:Very clean, few steps (1 minute) from the beach, Beach has a nice bay which makes it one of the best in Paros. Nearby play ground, for families with infants. Nice restaurant, already missing the delicious Shrimps with Spaghetti. Staff were very flexible to make changes for my booking several times. At night, sitting with the stars, enjoying the calm waves sound and moon reflection :)
Review 20:Hard bed, two single even if I book and ask for one double bed.
Review 21:Good position in Alyki, quiet, clean, nice beach in front if the hotel. Not far from Parikia, easy to come and go with a scooter. Frienly staff. And good price.
Review 22:uncomfortable beds, room very hot, coffee undrinkable. No variety of drinks at the bar.
Review 23:Views were wonderful, 3 mins walk to tavernas and the sea.
Review 24:Room quite small and basic
Review 25:Location, overlooking the see, quiet...
Review 26:Only the beds were a little firm for me
Review 27:nothinng
Review 28:Staff location : 5 m from the beach, 5 m away from children playground , 20 m away from the bus stop. Tavernas are 15 minutes walking
Review 29:The breakfast was awful - so we bought our own stuff and ate it at the breakfast table. To be fair I think we were at the end of a bad season...and the owner had gone back to Athens.
Review 30:Sea view, lovely pool
Review 31:We ordered a room with a view, and got a confirmation from booking.com on that, but did not get it. Instead of excusing, they insisted that the room in the back yard was the only room, and the right one. Pretty disappointing, so we stayed just one night, although they said they could arrange new room if we stayed longer
Review 32:Perfect location, and if you are lucky to get room with a view its a perfect place. Nice breakfast restaurant and pool area
Review 33:Only thing we would have liked would have been able to see the soccer on the tv and a cushion on the pool lounger.
Review 34:Location is terrific, literally 2 metres from the sand in a lovely bay with tavernas within 100 metres. Very family friendly beaches and excellent access into the main town if needed. The staff and owner Mr Galatis were more than helpful. They picked us up from the ferry and delivered us back there when we left, they cooked terrific well priced food for us, could not have asked for a better hotel for a terrific price. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to our friends.
Review 35:First 2 days of our staying, our room was made up and cleaned. Then the owner left, and the remaining days nothing was done at all, except for (modest) breakfast. Hotel staff hardly speaks English. Hotel staff was more absent than present. When we arrived, it looked like they were not expecting us. The advertised swimming pool was empty and supposedly being cleaned. Advertised Wifi availability not in the entire hotel, only at the groundlevel reception area. During our stay, this family runned hotel's restaurant did not serve any dishes at all, so we had to go out for dinner. I guess we were a bit too early in the season...but the location makes up for a lot, and with a pleasant 10 minute stroll along the seaside, one can find a few nice little places to eat good Greek food and drink good coffees. Please be aware of the many musquitoes..With little more efforts, this could be a very nice hotel for beach lovers!
Review 36:The location is very close to the beach. Perfect location if your plan is to stay in close proximity to a clean, sandy beach just made for kids! Definitely value for money if you are not too demanding and can take care of oneself. The frontal seaside rooms are spacious, there is airco, a little fridge and a big terrace attached to the frontal seaside located rooms (as we had). Very pleasant seaside view.
