Review 1：The air conditioner made so much noise. The shower had curtains which I think should be changed with panels.
Review 2：The location is great. The house keeping is excellent, you find your room super clean and tidy when you come back in the evening. Breakfast is ok. The rate of the room is ideal and okmformevery budget.
Review 3：Stayed three nights at this hotel. Recently renovated only two minutes walk from ferry terminal. In a quiet side street with no passing traffic noise. Large room with modern facilities. Safe, flat screen TV, bar fridge. Excellent buffet breakfast. Best extra feature was the roof terrace with stunning views across Patmos harbour. Enjoyed pre dinner drinks here every night then wander the many restaurants in the area. Would definite recommend to any visitor to Patmos.

Review 5：The location was absolutely fantastic. You can walk there from the pier and to anything in town. It's helpful to rent a moto to get around the island. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was the best I've had after traveling over a month.

Review 9：The position is strategic, they tidy up every day and the room is very clean. They give washed towels every day, beds are comfortable, wifi works pretty well and the bathroom is great. The price is very good considering the average of the island. The owner is a very kind person and has no contrivance at all. We wanted to stay few days more than we planned and he managed to find a way to let us keep our room even if he had other reservations. He also offered his help to find another solution in the case he couldn't help.. Genuine and polite. I really have nothing to say and will definely go back to Byzance again!
Review 10：The hotel is composed of 2 buildings and I recommend to request a room in the new wing because the old one was very noisy.
Review 11：The location of the hotel is really convenient as it is very close to the harbor (no need for a taxi when arriving, you can get there by walking). Plus Skala is central in Patmos so you can go anywhere in Patmos from here. The bed was okay. Breakfast though classic is good quality.
Review 12：The owners Vasso and Dinos are amazing. They make your holiday comfortable and treat as if you are their family. They organize everything for you, a great massage in the hotel, a wonderful boat trip to the nearby islands.. whatever you ask for. the hotel is beautiful, very clean, the sheets and towels change every day. The pillows are goose down which I really love in this hotel. The rooms are so comfortable, spacy and contemporary. I love Hotel Byzance in Patmos.
Review 13：Staff were always there to help us with any enquiry, in fact they were more like family than staff, very sincere. Very clean rooms, that felt worth more like 5 star and we were spoilt for choice with the variety of tempting things available for breakfast!
Review 14：Because of the location, it can get noisy at night especially during summer time. This has nothing to do with the management of the hotel but should be considered for families coming with infants. The breakfast is served between 8-10am, for a summer/vacation place the hours of the breakfast should be shifted to a later time, at least to 11am.

Review 17：There are so many things to rave about - where to start? We had a family suite - no views, but a very spacious suite for our teenage boys and ourselves with a sunny courtyard. Beds, pillows and bedding were excellent quality and very comfortable. The area was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Review 76：As per other comments the TV was too small. Our bed was very firm with a small lump on my side of the bed. Web site suggests that there was a rooftop eating area overlooking Skala Bay. When we were there in June there was no evidence of such.
Review 77：The position was close to the centre but away from the buzzing scooters. The room was cleaned well daily and left to ventilate in the summer sun. The breakfast was substantial but needed to have some variety to it when staying for more than 2 days. 2 outdoor areas. One to use for Internet use because the signal was useless in the room. The pillows were fantastic. Plenty of hot water.
Review 78：The bathroom is small.The owners must put some hangers on the bathroom and on the room, too. Usually the visitors on summer stay out on balcony but unfortunately it wasn't clean and there wasn't something to hung the swimwear and the wet towels.Missing mosquito nets.The price was high.

Review 86：We arrived by the daily ferry (which was on time) along with another couple who had also booked and reception was empty, rang the bell, nobody came for at least 10 minutes. It is not harbour-front but one row back, and the balcony looked out on a blank wall. Plumbing ‘byzantine’ – hand held shower, no curtain, always flooded the floor. Washbasin with mis-matched waste system, had to reach underneath and find a lever to let the water out. Water temperature sometimes lukewarm. Lots of stairs, no lift. Horrible instant coffee for breakfast.
Review 87：Located within 200 metres of the port. It was a good sized room with large balcony. A safe in the wardrobe. Breakfast was a big spread, thick yoghurt with honey, bread, cheese and ham, toast, marmalade & cakes, good fruit juice. Horrible instant coffee but they gave us lots of boiling water and tea bags instead.
