Review 1:I liked the thought that our hosts had put into everything, and the friendly, outgoing engagement with guests. Location was perfect for the St Cuthberts Way.

Review 2:none

Review 3:lovely house, rooms were spacious and well equipped . The owners were very helpful . On arrival a cup of tea and some homemade cake was wonderful touch. Excellent in all departments.

Review 4:We were in the middle room which meant we could hear creaky floorboards when people in either of the adjacent rooms moved about.

Review 5:Patrick and Paulette have thought of everything to make the guests comfortable. There were great choices for breakfast and many home-made items. The room is a good size, not cramped at all.

Review 6:A little difficult to find but worth the effort of following the instructions provided by the owners.

Review 7:Very welcoming by nice people to a nice room. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was particularly good. The location was highly convenient.

Review 8:At 6'1" I found the single bed (in the Farne) room on the small side.

Review 9:The breakfast was delicious. I usually only have a fried egg with my breakfast, but a glance at another guest's scrambled convinced me to try it on the second morning. Creamy! The host and hostess were very friendly and welcoming. I liked the mini-fridge with bottles of water too.

Review 10:Bed was not the best a bit on the low side making difficult to alight from

Review 11:Very friendly hospitable owners and wonderful breakfast, having travelled a lot one of the best yet ,Having a fridge with milk water out side bed room a very good touch enabling one to enjoy a good cup of tea with out the horrid UHT milk often provided ,makes a great deal of difference .Also a very good selection of beverages and toiletries .On arriving a tray of tea/coffee and cake brought to our room

Review 12:Patrick and Paulette were very welcoming. Accommodation, food and customer service was first class. They are both very knowledgeable on what to do and where to go in the area. I was given a discount voucher for entrance to one of the local castles. They very kindly dried out my walking shoes and jacket after a very wet walking day. I recommend anyone making Wooler a base for their holiday to book into the Old Mill.

Review 13:There was nothing to dislike, eveything was top notch ☺

Review 17:Very good advice on what to do in the area. Patrick is very well stocked with maps and information. Paulette's breakfasts are excellent and there is a great choice.

Review 18:Everything was excellent, Patrick and paulette were so helpful , full of local knowledge which made our first visit to Northumberland perfect and we can't wait to come back.

Review 19:It didn't bother us at all, but some people might struggle with the 2 flights of stairs to the guest rooms - then again, many of the guests are walkers. Free parking was very welcome, but there is not much space and some (like me!) might find it challenging to turn/reverse their car out the next day!

Review 20:Comfort of bed; warmth; lovely breakfast; our hosts - Patrick & Paulette - kindly provided a sandwich dinner when we arrived late, having suffered a flat type en route. They also offered to find someone to repair the type for us the next morning. So helpful ...

The amenities all you could need for an excellent stay. Paulette cooked a very filling and tasty breakfast made with ingredients sourced locally - it would rival any up market hotel.
