Review 2：A special start to the day was the breakfast which was excellent. The helpfulness of all the staff...night and day.

Review 3：Our beds were comfortable. Closet space was ample with many hangers. But the superficial look of the bedrooms could be updated just a bit.

Review 4：Skala Hotel on Island Patmos has location, location, location: We walked to the harbor, many restaurants and the center of Skala many times throughout the day without needing taxis, buses or scooters. The flower-filled courtyard enclosure blocked out noise from the main road. And, from my pillow I saw the 10th c. monastery which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site -- a wonderfully memorable experience. We also enjoyed the international character of the hotel with guests from countries around the world. Breakfasts were special with food items labeled to let us know sources: rich yogurt (better than anything I can get in the US) from Trikala; delicate halvah from Macedonia; fresh cheese pita from Patmos; honey from Greece, along with many other items. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else; plus, Skala Hotel was recommended to us by family and friends who have been guests over the years. Everyone comments on the good value.

Review 5：Best location, 200m from port, easy to find, moments to town, but quiet. Thanks for delivering on my special request! Having a fridge was great. No need for the tourist information office, the reception staff can tell you everything from best beaches to bus fares and timetables. Good bathroom & shower. Loved the breakfast. Highly recommended. Will stay again if in Patmos.

Review 6：Lovely hotel and a great location just far enough away from centre of Skala yet very easy walking distance also. Pool nice and plenty of sun beds, with towels from reception. Bar in the pool especially fun. Hotel staff lovely and very helpful for taxi booking and tourist advice. But most particularly helpful when my suitcase did not arrive and they helped me coordinate with airport and ferry to have it delivered and then the manager even drove me to the port to collect the case.

Review 7：If you are looking for a piece of quiteness in the middle of skala this is deffinetly the place you should choose. The best things of this place are the breakfast with an amazing greek yogurt and lots of local products of high quality. It has a salted swimingpool ideal for relaxing. Moreover it is very conveninent for those people who arrive by ferry without a main of transport as it 200 hundred metres of the ferry arrivals. Last but not the least, the staff are very kind always willing to help

Review 9：I booked a room at this hotel on a last minute trip to Patmos and luckily ended up staying at The Skala Hotel. First off, the location of the hotel is unbeatable the property is a short 2 minute walk from the main port. However what makes the location unique is that the property is located deep back from the main road and is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and high walls so you feel like you are in a secluded villa while in reality you are in the epicenter of the city. The hotel offered all of the modern comforts that one would expect from a hotel in a major city, the rooms have modern finishes are air conditioned and nicely furnished. The water pressure is phenomenal and your stay includes complimentary WIFI and breakfast. The overall condition of the property is impeccable and it is obvious that they take much pride in keeping it so. What distinguished my stay mostly however was the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. The beautiful lady of the house accommodated me with directions, suggestions for restaurants and any overall questions I had about the island in general. In addition Dimitri the bar manager went out of his way to help me with any needs as well. I felt nothing but welcomed and appreciated and look forward to returning there on any future trip to Patmos.

Review 10：Hard mattress, breakfast poor and unappetising and too many smokers on terrace at breakfast. (Obviously hotel cannot control this but perhaps a section for non-smokers please).

Review 12：Beds were, as in many Greek Hotels, ... too firm and the third bed the put in for my daughter was like a squeaky trampoline. .. room needs updating. Pool was average. It is like plain brown cement..smooth but not white like we are used to. So it never looks blue. ..it looks green. I did see some algae. . Big steps to get into pool..so not for those with a disability

Review 17：The staff at this small, family-run hotel were extremely gracious and helpful. Our 2nd floor, sea view room was outstanding. Breakfast on the patio was a treat. Only wish we could have stayed longer than two days.

Review 18：The hotel was only couple minutes walk across from the port. We had very comfortable interconnecting rooms on the ground and it's a plus to have those fly-screen doors. Very helpful staff. Everything was within minutes walk. Bus stop to St John's Monastery & The Cave was nearby. We took the bus to the Monastery first then walk back to the Cave and from the Cave we also walk back to the hotel (all down hill) (nice walk).

Review 19：Poorly maintained rooms with dirty spots on the walls and the bed headboard and cracks on the walls. There was almost no reception during one week of stay and the staff was attributing the issue to the telecommunication company. Very poor breakfast for the hotel price with no fruits and cheap artificial jams. No changes in the breakfast variety in an entire week. Overall, extremely low value for the money that this hotel asks. Not recommended.

The position is the best in town, very close to harbour, restaurant and shops, but still very quite and perfect for relaxing. We have booked for two nights and then we decided to stay 5 nights, because of the beuty of the island and of the hotel.

You can park your scooter in the private area of the hotel. Comfortable bed and big room. Comfortable shower and nice bathroom. Super-kind staff!

Review 26：The hotel is very well located, in the very centre of Skala. The rooms are big and comfortable with a balcony. Bathrooms are big and new, with all you need. But I would give a special award to the staff of the hotel! Always smiling, always ready to help in everything you need! They let u have a partial breakfast even after the time! I really suggest this hotel, a very good experience!

Review 65：The Hotel has very friendly, excellent staff and management. You may watch nice view of the bay from your bed in the room. Balconies are full of nice flowers. Excellent combination of green and blue.The location is perfect. No need any vehicle from seaport to hotel. Just walked with two big luggages in two minutes. Also by a short walk in one direction excellent Greek dining choices.

Review 66：Hidden extra charges. As there was no safe in the room, we asked to use safe at reception desk. After check out, we were issued with an unexpected charge of 16 euros for 4 days use. When we protested, charge was dropped to 6 euros. We were asked to pay in cash, which we did. We thought this was a free service and found the procedure a bit dodgy. No mattress protector on bed. Unhygienic!
