Reviews for Britannia Inn Hotel

Review 1:Going from the reception to the backyard before heading to your room..

Review 2:Lovely customer service including the staffs at the kitchen(breakfast....)good for the value of what you pay and the hotel very easy to locate...

Review 3:Breakfast could have more choices like its fellow hotel best Western which is locatedesigned 5mins away

Review 4:The mini kitchen at the side of triple room because we were able to buy food and have the use of a microwave

Review 5:The hotel is clean and modern however it was a bit noisy early following morning. The room is comfortable and clean but a little small. The location is good. I enjoyed my stay. It's recommended.

Review 6:Spotlessly clean, fantastic staff, brilliant breakfast and superb value for money.Tea and coffee facilities in room are great and a good TV, bathroom extremely clean with bath and shower, free soap and shampoo, with plenty of towels, clean every day. Very good quality beds, with clean fresh sheets each day. Bus and tube connections very close using Gants Hill Underground, 20 minutes into London Centre.

Review 7:worst experience I ever had....as this was my second stay at this property and previous stay was wonderful...now the administration and staff is completely changed...they don't have any coordination among themselves...my room was booked and i requested one day late check in..for that I had paid 50 GBP extra and they confirmed it by mail..but when I reached they told me that we assumed you as no show . That money which we deducted is hotel policy of no show. No room is arrange for you. I suggest the hotel owner that this property is really good ...Don't spoil it by bad hospitality and try to make a good communication among your staff. Hope in future you will take care of your guest and they will not face the problem which I had faced.

Review 8:the property is really good clean and in nice location

Review 9:Arrived to be told that they did not have a room for me. And transferred me to an hotel round the corner! I spent one night and decided to make alternative arrangements. When I informed the Britannia they tried to charge me anyway!!!

Review 10:breakfast room far too small though staff were very good would personally like a bar as we had children and it would have been nice to get a drink before retiring for the night

Review 11:excellent lighting in the room staff excellent size of rooms very good

Review 12:Was not very clean... Self serving tray had a plate with ashes left from cigarette and when we went to exchange it, night staff didn't apologise, instead accused for smoking in a non smoking room. Was not nice at all!

Review 13:The reasonable price for August.

Review 14:Breakfast room was very small, which meant queuing for breakfast. Not helped by the fact that there was a family of 3 who had long since finished eating, but who continued to occupy a table for 4 when there were other guests waiting to eat, and who the staff refused to move on. Given that space is something of a premium, the Breakfast area needs to be better managed.

Review 15:Very clean, free Wi-Fi and exceptional value for money.

Review 16:Towel rail and loo roll holder we're nearly falling off. Stain on pillow. Shower didnt stay upright. Fan was out of reach. Hairdryer was stuck with masking tape!!! One drawer didnt open. The bathroom door didn't shut the shower doors didn't close at bottom and my key card kept not. working. Not happy. 220 for 4 nights grr x

Review 17:Breakfast was really lovely!! Xx

Review 18:Rooms were spacious and clean.the only thing I could fault was the smell in the bathroom it smelt strongly of damp but when the bathroom door was shut it was fine so it was bearable.

Review 19:Ilford is quite far from the center

Review 20:Friendly and Nice guys there. Ilford is nice area, there is a shopping center nearby and Primark. To get there take the subway jubilee Line towards stratford and then the TFL train to Ilford. The hotel is about ten minutes away from Ilford station

Review 21:First room offered was a claustrophobic room with a double bed squashed in it. Shower room smelled fusty! Obviously rooms are allocated on arrival time and we got this horrid room as we arrived late. Another couple after us were offered a similar room with no window. Not good enough!

Review 22:the staff were happy to move us to a sister hotel for a night. The second room offered to us the next night at the brittania hotel was lovely . thankyou to the guys on the reception.

Review 23:I didnt like the fact that my room stinked and when I asked for a change they gave me a room with only two beds. My booking was for 3 beds. The guy at reception tried to convince me that 3 bed means one double and a single bed and denied my request of a partial refund.

Review 24:The nutella was ok in breakfast thats all

Review 25:Bathroom although clean a bit on the small side. Can't really wash your face comfortably in the sink without throwing water out. Same with shower (if your not a size 8/10 female you'll have issues). Also shower seemed to be electric, although water was warm (very very hot!!!) Was a little slow. Took a little longer than usual.

Review 26:We got apartment D2 (thought I'd booked a double room). Seemed like it was newly decorated. Was a double room and small basic kitchen outside the door that you share. Room was small but clean and was worth the price last minute. LCD tv with a good range of channels. Window opened more than the standard which let some air in also a fan was available.

Review 27:The Best place we ever stayed in!! We booked a triple bedroom and got upgraded for a quadruple room!! Spotless and Bright. Toilet just perfect as well!! And breakfast.. We don't even have words to describe.. Delicious.. English Breakfast, Scrambled eggs or fries... Toasts, jams, cereals, juices, muffins... And Pancakes ... Wonderful :)

Review 28:I had stayed at the property for four nights. First of all I would like to thank Mr. Ron (hotel Manager) for making my trip wonderful. He is a genial person who will help you like a family member, He guided me to plan my travelling , on the various occasion, I asked for various help and he guided me well. About the property....It's a very neat and clean hotel....with great location ..nearest tube station ... hardly 5-10 min walk....near by good restaurant, market is there which is also 5-10 min walk ......Complementary breakfast was delicious..... place is very quiet ..with no disturbance.....I would definitely going to stay at same place again during my next visit....................

Review 29:Vase of flowers on the staircase. Added nothing tp the decor and is an unnecessary hazard!

Review 30:Friendliness of the staff. Clean bedroom. Great cooked breakfast.

Review 31:We got Room 1 and 3. Room 1 was smelling very bad, carpets were dirty and very old. On second day a leakage started in bathroom so was offered different room which was small but better.

Review 32:Guys on reception were friendly especially Ron.

Review 33:Only downside was Breakfast room was too small. Had to wait half hour for table first morning, but got one straightaway the second day!

Review 34:The location was fab, right by the station and a wetherspoons!! Accommodation was great, room a little on small side for 2 double beds and 4 people, but room was spotlessly clean and located in the new extension. Bathroom was again spotless and more than adequate. Kitchen area outside room was great and the breakfasts served were excellent, catering for all tastes and ages. Staff really friendly and fast service at breakfast. Home Cooked food and hot!! Parking right outside was a great advantage too . All In all a great Hotel, would definitely rebook if visiting London again.

Review 35:Cold bathroo with no heating. Small room for four people with not enough space to unpack. Fire escape in room led outside but outside light on all night and no curtain for the door.

Review 36:Nothing much. Its the doors and walls are not that strong. If the person in next room opens/close the room we get much noise

Review 37:Excellent service and very helpful staff helped us I all ways. Thanks to all.

Review 38:Horrid smell in the corridor outside room. Buuh of people making noise all night.

Review 39:I booked into britania hotel but was given a room in Cranbrook because there was a problem in britanbritania.couldnot sleep all night because a bunch of Romanian was smoking outside our room and shouting till at least 0300am. The fire alarm went off twice during the night because someone was smoking in their room.

Review 40:It would be better if there is a fridge in the shared kitchen area.

Review 41:Nice staff, great kitchen area, good size room, reasonable furniture arrangement, easy access to city centre, fantastic breakfast.

Review 42:The curtains are not black out ones so even all lights are turned off I could still see the street light. Space at the dinning room is slightly limited. The only heater is not powerful enough to warm up the whole spacious room.

Review 43:As a solo traveller I was upgraded to a family room with 2 double beds 1 single bed for free, and this room is spacious, comfortable enough for working in it during my stay.

Review 44:There is no security at all. We were in our room sleeping and suddenly during the night we heard lots of noises and they were really Scarry and within minutes this guy who was shouting and banging started banging our door. We were calm and did not think of con fronting the person as clearly he was very violent. After some time the per son left. I contacted the hotel staff in the morning and guess what!!!! The person in charge was very casual about my concern and brushed it off suggesting "may be the person was drunk".

Review 45:Nothing that stands out to share.

Review 46:I kinder don't the fact that the heating is also connected to the key presence, because if we were out for a long time the room was like below freezing point and difficult to sleep in.

Review 47:Like the fact about the key system and they provision of a blanket, good value for money.

Review 48:Cleanliness in room was poor. The carpet was obviously very dirty and we struggled not to allow kids to walk on that. The bathroom was quite narrow , one cannot easily even stand in shower.

Review 49:Staff was friendly especially morning was pleasant with friendly breakfast

Review 50:I have one day there, when I check in ,one guy who is India people very rude, and my room was noise ,I can hear another room which is near my room

Review 51:I like the light ,wifi is no working ,

Review 52:Noise at night. It wasn't a particularly noisy hotel at all, but what noise there was came easily into the room (ground floor)

Review 53:Good wifi at decent speed Clean & comfortable room Full cooked breakfast

Review 54:I was waiting in a cue too long for having a breakfast..too many people for a small Breakfast room. But all the rest was ok.

Review 55:Clean, Calm, good breakfast.

Review 56:The first night our room smelled like smoke, the staff said that it wasn't true, but after complaining for a while, we luckily got a new room

Review 57:Very clean and good breakfast.

Review 58:Weekday rates were very expensive , better value, wouldve persuaded me to stay full week, but staff did offer a small discount ! Rooms a little on the small side didnt think price reflected, double was very small for 2 people, but nice and clean

Review 59:Staff were excellent! Went out of their way to accommodate us, and very polite. Good location to shopping and trains - very easy check in.

Review 60:The room was smaller than my box- room at home. The bed was too short & uncomfortable. There was lots of noise from about 05:30 every morning.

Review 61:The staff were generally really quite nice. This place was not horrendous, but it did not provide a suitable start to my working days.

Review 62:Tiny room - but for the price it is difficult to linger. The walls are so thin you can hear everything the neighbors are doing, especially if you will have louder and noisy in the morning neighbors.

Review 63:Staff, location, cleanlines

Review 64:I struggled to get to the hotel. From central London, I got on a tube toGants Hill as there was a misleading piece of information I read whichsaid the Hotel was ear this tube station. I walked over 20 minutes witha heavy bag, got very tired. When I got to the hotel I was told my roomwas in another building- 2streets away. Considering the distance I hadwalked, I refused to go any further. Another thing- I was told I had topay £10 deposit, then the member of staff keyed in £29. I refused to putmy pin in as there was contradiction. I was told according to hotelpolicy I can be charged up-to £100 for key deposit.

Review 65:The member of staff was quick to find and/or correct the mistakes.I got a nice triple room instead of the single I had booked.

Review 66:The hotel was a bit far from London, but taking the bus followed by the tube was easy.

Review 67:For a budget family hotel, this was a very pleasant stay with breakfast offered daily. Room was cleaned daily and hotel staff was helpful.

Review 68:although the idea is good about breakfast, I could hear the maid bringing all the stuff for breakfast at about 5.30 am in the morning which woke me up.

Review 69:this hotel was immaculate, like the idea of just getting your breakfast and taking it to the room and eating it there as I was on my own with my eight year old boy, over all a great stay.

Review 70:Unstable WiFi Small dining area Cards had to be activated every 24 hours otherwise you would not get into your room

Review 71:Very nice and clean room with a cosy bathroom Very good breakfast Helpful and friendly staff At first we have got really small room with just a little window in the ceiling and absolutely place for clothes (cupboard etc.) I went to the concierge and they gave us different room which was totally different.

Review 72:Windows were kept open..no screens/ we could here baby crying in a room on the second floor/ doors slam constantly and jar you out of sleep/ beds were made each day, but sheets were never changed

Review 73:The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is huge that is included huge. Location is far out from London but the subway was only 1 mile from the Inn and it only took 25 minuted to get to London...this small Muslim town is not a cosmopolitan city but has everything you need...a lot of great Indian cuisine! daily rate is very reasonable.
