Reviews for Park Hotel

Review 1:Shower had no water, one female staff member on reception rude, given the wrong room key where someone else was already in the room, breakfast terrible.

Review 2:Near the station and shops

Review 3:My room was next to the front door and I was kept awake by the door slamming and guests running up and down stairs well into the night. I was not rested enough for the day I had planned. Also needed warmer bedding.

Review 4:Reasonably priced for outer London. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Review 5:Located in the 4th district/area, takes 1h to get to the central area or London (20 minutes walk to the closest underground station + 40 minutes ride). Very slow internet.

Review 6:Quite cheap for Londond prices Breakfast included, but same menu every morning

Review 7:the staff were very helpful but their language skills nee improvement. the room was adequate but awkward for two disabled people, had two kettles replaced before we realised it was a bad plug circuit, cheap sausages for breakfast ugg

Review 8:Only thing I would say is having the 2 buildings is a bit off putting as we had to walk outside to go to reception! Also I got woken up several times by doors slamming and loud people as well as a fire alarm that kept going off!!

Review 9:We liked the fact that the hotel was very clean and for what we paid it was well worth it!

Review 10:The rooms weren't very well maintained. TV control didn't work, shower kept going hot and cold, no lightbulb in the bathroom and I had people doing building work around 8am outside the room. Had only arrived 2 hours earlier.

Review 11:Good location, waited an extra 15 minutes for us to check in as we ran late.

Review 12:Uncomfortable bed, curtains stained yellow and i felt itchy being there. Staff unhelpful, could hear everything through the walls,no sink plugs and only a tiny window near the ceiling that diddnt open.

Review 13:Some shops nearby

Review 14:Toilet is sometimes smelly and my room is not good at soundproofing so struggled with noises from next door's tv

Review 15:Staffs are very polite and kind and breakfast is nicer than expected

Review 16:room/envoirmnent/staff/cleaning.......

Review 17:nothing good.....when this tyoe of hotel in germany its cost just 15€ and hopefully its closed by authority soon

Review 18:regardless of the fact that the hotel was considered cheap and good value for the money it is actually expensive for what it offers - but that is London. Dining room is a bit small

Review 19:Everything was as stated on the webpage - for us the most important was that it was clean (room was obviously recently repaired, while the rest of the hotel could benefit of some repairment work), family room has small private bathroom, and we could adjust the heater in the room as we liked.

Review 20:lack of info on car park when checking in at lucky 8hotel. Ended up parking on the street (no incident though).

Review 21:Friendliness of reception staff We were politely offered to go to Lucky 8 hotel (on York Road) as Park hotel was full.

Review 22:Old fashioned, Smelly, bad broken bed, trip hazards, no wifi even with 6 access points, had to leave you key at reception, couldn't have windows open because of other guests smoking on the fire escape outside of room. Overall I wouldn't stay here unless desperate if I were you.

Review 23:Not a lot! The price was the only good thing, although the staff were friendly.

Review 24:The rooms in the pictures are not the same in reality. When we asked staff why our room is so different, they said they have only 4 new rooms and their pictures are used for the marketing purpose. So basically, most of the hotel rooms are old and very small. You should not lie if you want your customers to return.

Review 25:Staff was very helpful.

Review 26:-

Review 27:The Park Hotel is a very cheap place, but I was very surpriced when I arrived and I enter to our room. The room is very clean and tidy, the bathroom is nice and the bed is comfortable. The Breakfast is also very good, there was a lot tasty thing and They always looked around to make sure nothing runned out. The most of the attractions are reachable in 1 hour, the central underground is close to the Park Hotel, so don't have to change a lot between public transportation. For this price the Park hotel is a very good choice. Thank You!

Review 28:Room smelled of mould Carpet was worn out, dirty and threadbare Bed was rock hard, no headboard When I asked for an extra pillow, I was handed a rolled up duvet in a pillow case Lock on door was broken Most TV channels were unwatchable due to signal problems Car park too full every night left nowhere to park Free WiFi is about 1Mb per week, it is completely unusable Coffee table in room can barely stand up Budget wardrobe with laminate peeling off, not fastened to wall is a serious H&S issue I asked for a wine glass, they don't have any... Bathroom floor had more filler than tiles Loads of noise through most of the night, people running up and down stairs, standing outside bedroom window smoking shouting and laughing in the middle of the night Wouldn't stay here again if it was £1 a night!

Review 29:Location Price

Review 30:Wifi was really bad, only got connection twice for a miniute then disconnected! Worst wifi ever, i could not complete work that needed to be handed in on time!

Review 31:Customer service was good, price was good!

Review 32:The ro5km was very small with a double crammed in. A wardrobe I couldn't open or get into easily. The bed was in an awkward place the stool was broken the room was dirty and dusty I suffer from asthma. Cobwebs in corner. The free breakfast the eggs looked like the had been cooked and sitting out under the light overnight they dry and unappealing. The sausages looked sevetal daya old and reheated. The stay was not worth the £89 I paid. I have stayed at the Cranbrook for £35 better bigger cleaner room. Breakfast looked fresh and inviting.

Review 33:Location was good easy to get to easy to find. Staff in desk on arrival and departure was very nice and helpful.

Review 34:Noisy neighbours who were very inconsiderate to the early hours of the morning. Breakfast area to small for all the clients.

Review 35:Good location friendly staff

Review 36:The WIFI was absolutely terrible , ony had WIFI in the reception.

Review 37:The Staff were awesome , loved the location and the beds were comfortable , loved the coffee and kettle in the room.

Review 38:I guess security deposit for key was unnecessary because i booked it online they had my card details.

Review 39:Room was very clean and spacious. Good location.

Review 40:The rooms were tiny. The beds felt damp. No mirrors to get ready in

Review 41:Breakfast was okay - dining room way too overcrowded and we had to wait for our seats.

Review 42:English breakfast isn't my cup of cake, but I already knew what I was getting into, so can't complain much.

Review 43:Nice staff, good room, well located with a bus stop just in front. About 30 min to get to the very center of London. Cheap for english standards. No problems in coming back again.

Review 44:Bed wasn't that comfortable and there should have been more variety of food for breakfast. The room as well as very small and not spacious at all.

Review 45:It was cheap

Review 46:Ideal to where we went for the function walking distance. The room was clean and practical for our needs. The only thing was, no teaspoon to stir the coffee / tea.

Review 47:Nothing.

Review 48:Very clean, friendly staff, good working facilities, wifi fine. Lovely breakfast. Although far out of London excellent value for money for budget accomodation.

Review 49:there were people making loud noises outside and it was like a gang and was from 2 am until 6 am, we couldnt sleep at all, bed had springs sticking up so very uncomfortable

Review 50:The staff upon leaving were rude, did not understand our deafness and caused our guess to cry. The beds were clean but the room was below standard, no bedside lamp. The hotel over all deserve no more than 2 stars

Review 51:The size of the room and the car park the staff upon arriving was nice

Review 52:Very noisy in room 17 as opposite staff door which squeaked loudly every time opened throughout the night, people running up/down the stairs, loud footsteps along the corridor, talking and laughing from ?night porter til at least half 2 am (when finally dropped off) only to be woken with hoovering outside the door just after 7am etc Free wifi didn't work Included toiletries non existent

Review 53:Breakfast time struggled for seating and cutlery, but did manage to get few chairs due to other considerate customers alllowing to use the chairs...

Review 54:Staff were really helpful & friendly, Umar at reception & the other lady at reception were both really nice!

Review 55:Bathroom smelled of drains curtains were falling down plaster coming off the wall TV in foreign language no proper bacon for breakfast no proper duvet covers on beds

Review 56:The bed was comfy.

Review 57:You expect for 199 £ something nice, but this I had never seen, too expencive, small, old, no wifi, really bad hotel ! Get it of booking.com, please do !

Review 58:Clean beds

Review 59:Food was disgusting Access to room was difficult with a pram as to many stairs. Room not prepared for a small child and when we eventually given a cot it smelt very damp

Review 60:The room was rather small and until the other guests settled down it was rather noisy. no extra blankets or pillows in the room.

Review 61:The accommodation was clean and well presented. The breakfast was very good.

Review 62:Sink was miniscule, which caused some worry for someone like me, who likes to wash her clothes after wearing them. But somehow I made it work, nevertheless. Internet was nonexistent in rooms but fortunately just fine in the lobby. No outlets to keep computer charged, but staff, bless them, plugged it in behind the counter.

Review 63:Although the hotel was not remotely a luxury place, yet the host and staff were very kind and helpful. One was made to feel welcome! The breakfast was very ample, English breakfast buffet style. Not too far from the tube, which made for a quick ride to anywhere one would want to go.

Review 64:The room was very poor. Shabby and no space for bedside tables, no reading lights. No access to the bed fr one side. TV was poor quality. No chair or stool to sit at the table when drinking tea or using laptop.

Review 65:The park next to hotel.

Review 66:smallest tv i have EVER seen that DIDN'T EVEN WORK, Wi-Fi was incredibly weak too !

Review 67:descent value for money, clean room and bathroom, nice staff

Review 68:On arrival they gave me a small room, in front of street (noisy), no good ventilation, tiny bathroom (like a boat type). I requested a cooler room facing the car park and they helped me with this. The room was more comfortable (more space), cooler, and bathroom better but with electric shower that needed to turn on and off from outside the bathroom. The room too noisy, lot of young people in a group running and banging doors until late night. The light passed trough the curtains (making you awake early). The building looks very old and bad smell in some areas. The location was not bad but it is not close to the train or tub, it is more than 10 minutes walking and the area is not nice to walk specially at night. I will recommend to spend a little bit more money or time to find a better place to stay. This hotel feels more like a one star kind of hotels. My last thought is that it did not worth the money and need improvement.

Review 69:Staff members nice and helpful, breakfast good, bed clean and comfortable, bathroom clean.

Review 70:I cant understand how the price can be over £100 a night when ive stayed in rooms with ripped bedding, leaves on the floor, and very tatty rooms. Luckily i only stay on the cheaper nights (sundays) but these rooms are nowhere near worth over £50 night unless your business paying. Breakfast if there at 6.30am its ok, any later expect a cold breakfast as shutters to cabinet still not on to keep food warm.

Review 71:Location

Review 72:On arrival reception advised us that our room had been flooded and they were transferring us to their sister hotel. They called a cab and paid our fare for us and we were taken to the 4 star Best Western Hotel on Argyll Road Ilford which was excellent alround.

Review 73:Good location for flights from London City Airport. Clean, basic accomodation at a very reasonable price. Secure car park at rear of hotel. 24 hour reception.

Review 74:The hotel itself could do with a makeover it was fine for an overnight stay if you want cheap & cheerful luxury it is not bedding clean but the furniture in the bedroom & breakfast area could do with updating as a little old would use again if just the 2 of us as the noise from other guests can clearly be heard & with 2 children we needed our sleep!

Review 75:The hotel staff were very nice the bedding was clean location in to ilford is only a few minutes away for buses & trains into London

Review 76:They twice took a "holding fee/pre payment" when I asked why they did this for a second time after already doing it I got a "it's what we do" I then said ok I'll pay the difference to the reply "no, you must pay in full" I then was told the pre payment they took will take around 10 days to return.... Yeah great!

Review 77:The wifi. And a bus stop outside

Review 78:Residents should be alerted to keep noise of their doors down Wifi connection weak

Review 79:Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the staff were lovely. The bedroom was clean. It is in a good location and the price is decent. Bus stop is in front of the hotel, good tube connection with the centre.

Review 80:The only thing that we were a little dissaponted was the WiFi. In the room was poor connection, but in the lobby at the reception worked perfectly.

Review 81:We were family of 2 adults and 2 young children (8&6 years old). Everything in Hotel was just as we hoped so-from bedroom we stayed in, the room was cleaned every day; breakfast was deliciouss; staff was very polite and the surroundings of Hotel were great for family with young children.

Review 82:My window didn't shut, but it was warm so didn't really matter!

Review 83:Lovely staff,OK facilities, pretty much exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel. Perfect if you just need a bed for the night.

Review 84:No proper beding(duvet) just two bed sheet and only one pillow, couldnt get any sleep, bad bed Rust on the shower panel and sink. No fresh fruit or healthy option on breakfast

Review 85:The window did not shut properly in the bedroom therefore caused a draught. 2 plug sockets where kettle plugged in did not work so had to hold kettle near a different plug

Review 86:The room size was very small but for the price you can't complain. very good value for money

Review 87:Staff were friendly upon arrival Bed was very comfortable Breakfast was great

Review 88:Before visit we had confirmation from hotel about the late (23.00) chech-inn, but our reservation was cancelled and our quadruple room changed to two dubble rooms (one from these rooms without heating). In this situation hotel accomodation boy was arogantic and not helpfull. Internet access wery slow and from 6.00 to 7.30 only (for another time access formally isavailable, but really no).

Review 89:I cannot eat in mornings if I am driving after breakfast time and would have liked the option of taking away eg. a croissant in a bag to eat later but was told this was not possible. But do understand that this may set a precedent.

Review 90:Good towels and sheets Liked to have view of my car Liked to have kettle and coffee/tea left in room

Review 91:Do not stay here... Pls contact me for photos of my experience, if in doubt... All I personally ask of a hotel is, Cleanliness, good shower or bath, wifi and at least a lamp besides the ceiling light! Oh, and curtain rails with curtain attached to the curtain hooks .....free breakfast.. ! Ha! Wouldn't go there

Review 92:Nothing

Review 93:The experience, stale breakfast, noisy guests (we believe they we're call girls and a guy), the bed wasn't made (no duvet cover)

Review 94:The staff that checked us in was very polite and helpful

Review 95:The wifi didn't really work

Review 96:To be honest I loved Everythifn about the room I was in, the hotel the staff, the room looked amazing like a studio flat. I felt so comfortable and the carpet was really nice and comfy. Also the heater is rally good the room warmed up real quick.

Review 97:we were in room 24, you could hear the car-park gate opening & closing with a bang at all hours through the night!

Review 98:the staff, the location, the price. Breakfast (very important to me!!) was plentiful, but could have been hotter. It was lukewarm at best!

Review 99:Would've been better if it was a bit cheaper.

Review 100:I loved the swan made out of towels, it was unexpected and romantic. Also the balloons. Thank you very much.

Review 101:Bad sewer smell in bathroom. Noisy rooms upstairs. Rust in bathroom. Rough neighbourhood. Can't pay cash in the bus.

Review 102:free wifi and parking and breakfast. Helpful staff.

Review 103:The double bed duvet was dirty and didn't have a proper duvet cover only a white flat sheet covering it. No promised wifi in my building. When I enquired they said that the router wasn't working and I knew that they already knew that which was very disappointing...being told without notice to pay £20 refundable key deposit. Had no cash on me so paid £5

Review 104:The reception staff was quite pleasant. My room was clean. The breakfast was ok.

Review 105:WIFI didnt work My pet "friend" didn't obey me at times. He kept insisting on going to Ministry of Sound, but due to the uneasy location of the hotel, this was not possible and so he got agitated and had a mental breakdown.

Review 106:I liked how we were moved from a room which seemed unsafe as it was close to an emergency exit door which was always open and anyone could enter. The new room seemed like a 4 star hotel with 3 beds and it was much cleaner and the bathroom was huge. Breakfast was very good Friendly staff

Review 107:Breakfast, stayed many times before & breakfast shutters still not fixed so cold breakfast. I had spoken to reception before my visit to check this was fixed and was told it was but that was not the case. Hairs on toilet seat on arrival.

Review 108:This time i stayed as the price was just £29!

Review 109:Bed was hard and bedding didn't include a duvet cover that covered the entire duvet, it was just a sheet over. Only let down from the entire trip.

Review 110:Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the staff were lovely. All friendly and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated.

Review 111:Cold room, temperamental heater, shower water just warm on highest setting, alot of slow WiFi options, super small room no space to breath, the place is like a maze, cant be good for health and safety.

Review 112:Free secure parking and polite staff

Review 113:Breakfast was at best luke warm. Without wishing to sound funny, but due to religious constraints, which I respect, real bacon is not served at this establishment. It is replaced by turkey made to resemble bacon. Well, I'm sorry but this will not do as it tasted horrible and I pointed this out adding that it is far better to be honest and not serve the replacement at all. There were other issues as well to do with the room which I brought to their attention on my departure.

Review 114:Secure car park at rear of building.

Review 115:The window blinds couldnt close properly and had to improvise. But in all an excellent experience. Residents should be alerted to keep noise of their doors down.,

Review 116:The breakfast was fantastic and met my requirements

Review 117:The sink in the bathroom was too small. The bed was not too comfortable. No fridge.

Review 118:The staff were very friendly. The room was cleaned everyday. Overall a good stay and good value for money.

Review 119:a little shabby furniture but it´s normal in London

Review 120:Breakfast was rich, typical English, super. Bus stop is in front of the hotel, good tube connection with the centre. Helpful & nice staff

Review 121:small room. comings and goings of other residents noisy on first night. Taps loose in bathroom, flush not working properly. Bed against the wall difficult for getting in and out

Review 122:Room was cold my door couldn't close shower was broken

Review 123:Nothing as there was building work going on inside the hotel also Heath and safety in the hall my room door wouldnt close so that was danger to me until I told the staff to come and fix door the shower handle was broken and it was very cold in the room!!! So u need to upgrade the hotel room thank u as it didn't look a doudle room!!!!

Review 124:The buldings' interior need a propper renovation and to be refurnished. The color of light bulbs in the "breakfast" room is awfull, You cant use bright white energy saving light bulbs for a dining room - you feel as you are in a workshop!

Review 125:The staff was throughout very kind and helpfull, The breakfast was very good with a good range. The room service was excellent all the time. The room and the bathroom was spottles clean. The Hotel is situated opposite to the really nice Valentines Park. The Bus service stops in front or about two hundred meters of the building.

Review 126:Room smelling of alcohol in carpet Back room carpets dingy Shower had no extractor fan Bed not comfortable very creaky and dusty Picture on site does not give true picture of hotel

Review 127:The fact that we had found accommodation nearby which provides breakfast

Review 128:When booking, I ask for a walk-in shower and wrote that I had difficulty using stairs. They arranged a ground floor room with walk-in shower. The room was small and clean and so was the bathroom but here was no shower liquid Bed comfortable. We did not have time for breakfast as we left at 8.30am. Very helpful staff. Our room was a very fair £49 (which was half the normal price) and we felt that this was a reasonable price.(Full price would have been too much for such a small room). The hotel has an old-fashioned 'shabby' look so don't expect anything elegant and is on a main road therefore could be noisy, but we slept well there. It is walking distance to the underground station. Nearby excellent roadways (ie M11 etc). The staff speak English and Arabic. A big plus for free wifi!

Review 129:The only problem was that our room was right by the entrance to a series of rooms. The corridor had no carpet and it echoed so everyone coming in and out of the building sounded like they were in our room.As we needed to get up early we were a bit the worse for wear when our alarms went off.Small gripe though,it was a good place to stay.

Review 130:Everything apart from the location of the room. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast superb. The tv worked perfectly which isn't always the case in b&b/hotels,the shower was good & the bed comfy too.Small room but it didn't lack for anything.

Review 131:Wifi was a bit iffy.

Review 132:This was our 3rd stay in the last 10 months. Great value for money. Staffs are really helpful. Easy access to public transport. Definitely recommended.

Review 133:Altough we got several key for the wifi, none of them was working properly. The sign was very poor, the last day nothing. The room needs some renovation, although it was very clean. The toilet seat needs change, it was quite bad, damaged. The bathroom would need some hangers.

Review 134:Very nice staff, the breakfast was much better, than expected, nice English breakfast, with a couple of choices.Safe carpark belongs to the hotel. The transport is really good, the bus stop is in front of the Hotel, near the underground, to get to London centre takes about 45 minutes.

Review 135:Wi-Fi is fairly patchy. You can hear all the traffic on the main street from the rooms facing towards the room.

Review 136:This is my 2nd stay at Park Hotel. My first stay 10 months ago was a much better than this one. For starters, we got a much smaller room than last time around (both times we went for a triple room). Finding the room was bit of struggle as you had to wound your way thorough a set of stairs and corridors. At least the room was spotlessly clean even though it was very cramped. We are staying here again next week - hope to have a better experience this time around.

Review 137:Both twin beds had bad springs one was especially bad. Complained on return to hotel late evening about a leak in bathroom smell was terrible but was told it would be looked at in morning. Im guessing it has not been.

Review 138:breakfast layout although heat shutters where broken so food was cold.
