Reviews for No2 Troon Road

Review 1:Douglas was the perfect host! He allowed us privacy and didn't fuss around us as some B&B owners do, but he was there to offer excellent advice on sightseeing and travel when asked. The facility is spotless with large and very well provisioned rooms, and the most comfortable beds in the UK!!!

Review 2:Staff were very friendly room was very comfortable, breakfast was very good and the highlight for me was their adorable dog, would book there again if back in Troon

Review 3:N/A

Review 10:Welcoming experience after many days on road and staying at variety of accommodation sites. Hosts easygoing and helpful. Home modern and well appointed.

Review 11:Not Applicable

Review 12:The Bed and Breakfast is probably the best we have ever stayed in and Douglas the owner could not have been more helpful a wonderful experience

Review 13:Douglas is a nice, helpful, caring landlord. Small hotel only 4 rooms. Gives a nice and personal experience. Situated in Loans, not in Troon itself. They have rabits too, and a nice dog.

Review 14:Perfectly nice B & B for a short stay. We didn't have a car, and it was quite a walk into Troon. But there were very reliable and cheap taxis.

Review 15:The shower recess was a little on the small side.

Review 16:Douglas, the owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about how to get the most out of the area. The accommodation was very comfortable and in a great location.

Review 17:Excellent guest house located 2 mins from an inn. Owners very hospitable and put out a lovely breakfast for us when we had to leave very early the next morning.

Review 18:The family that runs this B&B are welcoming and hospitable. While Douglas had to go out when we were due to arrive, he left us the key and a welcoming note. Our room was very clean and comfortable. And Rita, the "back-up" hostess (grandmother to the family's children) who prepared and chatted with us during breakfast, was utterly charming.

Review 19:Dougie was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotless and comfortable and breakfast both days was freshly cooked and lovely. Other huge us was Freddie the puppy who was a huge hit with everyone.

Review 20:everything was excellent , the owners were very friendly. The room was spotless and cosy, breakfast was lovely it had everything we needed for our stay. this is our second visit and would return again

Review 21:Room was lovely and fresh with good tea and coffee facilities and toiletries in the en-suite. Comfy bed, friendly owners, good breakfast choices and easy to find.

Review 22:It wasn't free!!!! No,all was perfect

Review 23:Beautiful place, hosts were second to none, especially Freddie! So clean and comfortable, can't praise No 2 high enough! Douglas keep up the great work, see you seen

Review 24:Douglas the proprietar is an excellent host making you most welcome. As is his skateboarding rabbit! The room was of a decent size, well ventilated and clean. Breakfast was brilliant and Douglas makes great porage. A superb place to stay with restaurants nearby, as is a garage.

Review 25:You won't be disappointed. Small and friendly. Room spotless. Breakfast very enjoyable. Made to feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again. Would recommend.

Review 26:No 2 is located right on a corner. Without a GPS, and in heavy traffic in an unfamiliar environment, we missed it first time. So signage was an issue for us - although when you know what to look for and where to look, it is well signed. Parking could be a little tricky. And our host's jokes could do with a little work. But we enjoyed our stay and would recommend No 2.

Review 27:We came from Queensland, Australia for the Chilli's (Red Hot Chilli Pipers) concert as part of Troon Live. We found the help we got with local info and the courteousness of everyone helped us enjoy our stay (and the concert). We would have stayed longer if there was an available room.

Review 28:We enjoyed the friendly, helpful information of Douglas, the owner. The location for our purpose was great but just a little difficult to navigate the parking. The breakfast in the morning was tasteful and filling. All in all a good job by the owners. We would stay here again if we were coming to the area.

Review 29:Although the bedroom was beautiful and the beds very comfortable, our sleep was disturbed by the traffic noise, which was unfortunate as the location was very convenient for our purpose.

Review 30:We had a very warm and friendly welcome and were served excellent breakfasts. The proprietor was very helpful and knowledgable about the area.

Review 31:There was nothing to dislike !

Review 32:We liked everything about this B&B. Fantastic value for money, better than some expensive hotels we've stayed in. The owner Douglas was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfy and spotlessly clean as was the very nice en suite. Would definitely recommend or would without a doubt use again if we were in the area.

Review 33:Nothing really

Review 34:Convenient and quiet location. Comfortable bed and good in-room facilities. Helpful and friendly owner - gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner in Troon.

Review 35:Nothing we didn't like Even the west-coast rain went down well, because we felt so good.

Review 36:Everything. Especially the personal touch so that my wife and I felt greeted enough to know our way around Troon and about our room and the guest house. Room spotless Excellent sleep Just right Great en-suite and bed. breakfast fantastic Attention to detail all around.

Review 37:Nothing at all

Review 38:The property is maintained to the very highest standard, and cleanliness is an exception. The rooms are fully equipped, very very comfortable, and the wifi is first class, and is free. I honestly and truthfully cannot find fault with No 2 Troon Road, apart from I wasn't there long enough to enjoy it more. As an added bonus to everything, the host, Douglas, was excellent. So so helpful, so friendly, and with a great sense of humour. I stayed with my son and his girlfriend, and my son has stayed at quite a number if guest houses/bed & breakfasts, mostly with myself, and he was blown away with the quality, and again, Douglas. I will be recommending to everyone, to put this at the top of their list for quality, and I myself, will most definitely be staying again.

Review 39:Douglas the host was brilliant, made us feel very welcome and at ease. He was very chatty and was a brilliant source of local information. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him. The breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day !! Highly recommended

Review 41:Our host was friendly, personable and made us feel instantly welcomed. The accommodations were comfortable and very clean. The location was convenient for our travel plans. The breakfast was very good. We particularly enjoyed visiting with Zoe, the outgoing, interesting daughter of our hosts. Too bad she wouldn't sing for us : ), we hear she has great talent.

Review 42:no one there too far from town way way way too expensive

Review 43:cleanliness morning lady was nice and a good cook owner did a nice job of contacting and letting us know that no one would be there.

Review 44:We came to Troon to attend a wedding and Douglas was so friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early so we got some much needed sleep before the ceremony.
