Reviews for Amado Boutique Hotel

Review 1:this small bed&breakfast is not always open - make sure you telephone before you arrive - I waited two hours in front of the locked door! there are no hooks in the room and bathroom and the hotel is situated on a major road with lots of traffic noise.

Review 2:heating and breakfast was sufficient. the lounge is nice but chilly and there are only very few newspapers.

Review 3:Very comfortable room, beautifully decorated and in very good repair. Warm welcome. The room I had was in a small annexe and was away from the road, so very quiet and peaceful. I will be staying there every time I have to be overnight in the area. Only a short (150m) walk from all the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Review 4:The postcode does not take you directly to the hotel you need to put in 143 London Road. The breakfast was basic products.

Review 5:The location is excellent for shops and restaurants, a quaint town. The hotel room and bathroom was very spacious. Nice friendly staff.

Review 6:No response when we arrived. Sad unlit reception and lounge. Proprietorwas on phone so was late letting us in . We were booking an alternativehotel when she finally let us in.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Absolutely wonderful couldn't fault it at all, have rebooked for next visit, fantastic bathroom and lovely and warm with a very well cooked breakfast.

Review 9:Fabulous boutique hotel Great facilities...very comfy bed Friendly attentive staff Delicious cooked breakfast Near to trendy eateries in Stockton Heath

Review 10:The website didn't make it clear which room (all rooms are named) we were getting as we thought we would get a bath as the pictures had shown. Send the hotel a message in advance to request a specific room. We were put in Burgau which was in the basement ( a little dark), over the dining room, so we were woken by people walking overhead. Toilet didn't flush easily. Small TV.

Review 11:Good location and breakfast, nice owner who apologised for the confusion over the room, we should have sent a message or phoned in advance and could have secured the type of room we wanted.

Review 12:Nothing to complain about, the room was clean, staff were lovely and very helpful and breakfast was good.

Review 13:The location is ideal for the local restaurants and Gullivers World.

Review 14:Noisy people in the adjoining rooms who were together as a party and were in and out of their rooms all the time with constant door banging and woke us up late at night and disturbed our morning rest. Doors would be better with door closers fitted.

Review 15:Everything was excellent apart from the other noisy inconsiderate guests.

Review 16:The moment. We arrived were met by the lovely friendly owners shown to amazing room Which exceeded our expectations pristine and cosy . Thoroughly pleased with choice would defnetly recommend it and would defnetly return ! Excellent all round .

Review 17:The welcome could have been warmer, and the breakfast better. Little things could be improved, for example the bacon was overdone, portions were rather small, croissants were microwaved from frozen, and there werer only apples and bananas for fruit.

Review 18:The furnishings and decoration, comfortable beds, beautiful en suite. Fruit and port to help yourself to in the comfy guest lounge

Review 19:The only slight disappointment was the cooked breakfast, everything was excellent quality, but the bacon was way too heavily smoked for me, and the fried eggs were consistently overdone. Parking is also tight for 4x4's.

Review 20:Great location. Lovely big bedroom and bathroom, beautifully furnished. Very comfy bed. Friendly welcome and the staff are very pleasant.

Review 21:We didn't like the decor of the room, the bathroom was lovely butthe rest was just ok.Breakfast was small and not very nicely put together. The sausages tasted very processed. We also noticed the room we stayed in was advertised at a lower price in the hotel literature in the room.

Review 22:Loved the location and the peace and quiet inside the hotel (given itscentral location).

Review 23:Well situated hotel (albeit on a busy main road), well appointed rooms - comfy and clean, pleasant staff etc. Nice breakfast but a but on the small side eg one sausage for a hungry, burly chap!

Review 24:Bins not emptied from last guests & empty shower gels left from last guests. Yuk.

Review 25:We loved the large luxurious shower & comfortable bed. Hotel is in a great location too.

Review 26:Had a large room but in converted cellar with no opening windows. On the second day the room was not cleaned although the owner apologised and blamed her staff. For £89 a room , breakfast choice was poor .Owner was not high profile.

Review 27:Bed comfortable and complimentary drinks in lounge.

Review 28:Told off for laughing in the garden at 5.30pm, (would upset neighbour), most furniture didn't match, breakfast not brilliant, but worst of all, took full payment 7 weeks before stay and when queried, attitude was " cancel and stay elsewhere" !! If it wasn't fur the location I would have done

Review 29:Location was good for us, bathroom clean and a good shower, bed was uber comfortable!

Review 30:Tight car parking, especially if number of cars are already at the hotel.

Review 31:Excellent location, very close to bars & restaurants that can be reached on foot.

Review 32:ideally situated near the motorway. clean, well appointed; excellent breakfast; just right for a good night's rest after a busy journey and before another busy day.

Review 33:Could benefit from more information on local community and area (things to see/do), eg Grappenhall, Appleton Thorn, Warrington (shopping)

Review 34:Excellent facilities, attentive staff, delicious and generous breakfast, comfortable parlour, outstanding location.

Review 35:Car park would have been tight if every place had been taken

Review 36:Period decor was elegant, room was huge, bath and shower likewise. Breakfast perfect. Location very near choice of good restaurants and bars.

Review 37:The best English cooked breakfast I've had in a long time. Comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Stockton Heath is a great place to stay and eat out or walk along the canal.

Review 38:No seating in the bedroom. No where to hang up your outdoor coat. The decor was attractive but somehow packed personality.

Review 39:On site parking. Many original architectural features

Review 40:Postage stamp size TV in the bedroom.

Review 41:A very friendly welcome. The Hotel is very close to the local pubs and restaurants, I can highly recommend the Spanish Tapas restaurant. The breakfast is very nice and relaxed.

Review 42:Over priced for a B&B. It was the same price as my previous hotel in Canary Wharf! I unfortunately had no other options in the area. In all other aspects it's 10/10.

Review 43:Large comfortable room. Tastefully furnished. Spacious en suite. Onsite parking. Free WiFi. Lovely staff. Delicious breakfast. Excellent location.

Review 44:It was expensive, even compared to some 4 starred hotels in the vicinity, however, I suppose you get what you pay for. I suppose you may save money on taxi fairs if you are intending on eating and drinking in Stockton Heath.

Review 45:I liked the cleanliness, the pleasant staff, the comfortable bed, the breakfast, the parking space and the convenience.

Review 46:Found the bed in our room (Bodeira) rather small but we are used to a super king. Room description says king and double but only double made up and sofa presumably was the king. However, it was comfortable with nice bedding. No hair dry but quickly produced on request. Heating not on but again quickly resolved on request. I always use Booking.com because normally you don't have to pay up front. In this instance it turned out we paid on booking which was weeks ahead. Nothing on their page suggested this but when I rang to inquire was told to click on the tiny question mark next to the price - silly me - lesson learnt!

Review 47:The owner and Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the full breakfast was well presented, very tasty and hot. Nice character building. Everywhere clean. You are very near to all Stockton Heath has to offer - its a nice area.

Review 48:The family room offers split beds for children but we couldn't see how this could be done.

Review 49:We had the family room which is nicely sized and very nicely laid out. My family liked the lounge as well. Breakfast is excellent (but huge even if you don't order the full menu) but get up early to avoid the 9 o'clock rush.

Review 50:We arrived late in the day but the greeting was warm and informative. We asked to have an extra guest for breakfast and the request was dealt with quickly and efficiently [and without extra cost]

Review 51:towels could have been softer and fluffier Breakfast was well done could be larger

Review 52:friendly homely professional great location with parking near all restaurants

Review 53:Friendliness of host and staff plus the facilities, well thought out - attention to detail and very clean. Location was a plus with a short walk to restaurants etc

Review 54:Everything from location, reception, cleanliness, comfort, style . Friendly staff, good breakfast not large but enough for us. Car parking. Plenty of bars and restaurants , nearby.

Review 55:issues with breakfast usual cook away, so arrived late and overcooked.... but they very apologetic....

Review 56:the rooms very quirky, nicely decorated, and spotless

Review 57:The main road was a little noisy as it was very warm and we needed the Windows open at night.

Review 58:Big room with small dog allowed to stay for a small fee. Lovely big clean bathroom. Good range for breakfast. China cups and saucers!!

Review 59:All the staff were very friendly Location to bars and restaurants Very Modern and clean Excellant breakfast, freshly cooked on hot plates. Very good value for money.

Review 60:The front room I was in was on a main road and last Thursday was a very hot evening, so I had to have the windows open, which made it noisy in the morning. Not much they can do about that !!!

Review 61:Nice comfortable bed, bath and shower, very nicely decorated and clean

Review 107:Roomy well-equiped bathroom

Review 108:This is more a B&B than a hotel.

Review 109:Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good level of cleanliness. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. The lady who runs the hotel is very pleasant.

Review 110:Non -existent greeting on arrival-had to phone a mobile number to announce arrival, this would be a problem for anyone not carrying a mobile.l No opportunity given to say whether all components of "full English" were wanted.
