Reviews for Saronis Hotel

Review 1:Beautifully decorated rooms. Lovely, welcoming staff. Wonderful views from the balcony and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Good, fresh food and service in the restaurant also.

Review 2:Nice place , clean and tidy , close to skala beach . Very authentic place . You feel like a guest of a Greek family. Breakfasts are excellent . Every day different menus , home made jams and pies. The breakfasts served in the garden. The Staff ( the family which own and operate the hotel) are very friendly.

Review 3:The most friendly owners and staff I've ever seen, individual service like in 5 stars hotel, CLEANLINESS - FLAWLESS! Breakfasts are so rich, various and tasty and served in so green area that you breath like pure ozon ))

Review 4:An amazing hotel for my one night on the Island. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were big, clean and comfy and the beach is pretty much over the road from the hotel. The garden they have is very chill and a nice break from the sun if you need it. Couldn't recommend this place enough

Review 5:Lack of shower curtain so we always made a mess while having a shower.

Review 6:Our second time staying there, we just had to come back. For the friendly and professional staff, particularly Popi who went above and beyond in aiding us to obtain preserve which could only be found on the neighboring island.

Review 7:Amazing breakfast! Everything home made and extremly tasty. Kalliope and her familly really know how to be great hosts. They have helped us with all our requests. The location is perfect! Is right in the center of Skala, 2 mins walking distance from the main beach. Perfect location! The restaurant that is at the entrance of the hotel provides great food for decent pricing. Very clean!

Review 8:Absolutely everything, from the moment we arrived to having breakfast in the morning. A truly stunning and beautiful hotel with staff to match. I'm already planning to come and grace the shores of agristi and the saronis hotel again. A truly memorable experience. . And thank you for the pot of jam. Delicious

Review 9:This hotel was in a perfect location - only a short walk to the sea and right beside plenty of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. The owners and staff were lovely - very helpful and friendly!

Review 10:This small hotel is a real Greek family affair and their hospitality was wonderful. The place is spotless, the decor is very simple and calming, the food (all fresh and home cooked) mDe me fall in love with this island from day 1

Review 11:We loved staying at Hotel Saronis. The rooms were clean and cozy; everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and generous, making us feel at home immediately; and the breakfast every morning was out of this world.

Review 12:No bathroom showergel, no hairdrier, no wifi in rooms. The bathroom smells a bit bad if you leave the door open

Review 13:Fantastic owners, amazing homemade breakfast, lovely atmosphere

Review 14:There are a few mosquitoes around in spring - it would be great to have mosquito nets or better functioning electric mosquito repellents.

Review 15:Kalliopi, the owner, went out of her way to welcome us, giving recommendation for Agistri and even lending us her car for a quick ride. The hotel itself is very cosy and done tastefully in a traditional Greek style. The breakfast (charged extra) is truly delicious. Also try "Mosxos", the adjacent restaurant, for excellent seafood!

Review 16:The room had a slight musty smell. But in the island the level of humidity was realy high these days. So it might just be an isolated incident.

Review 17:The hotel's personnel was extremely friendly and helpfull.

Review 18:Everything was perfect - location, cleanless and facilities. Delicious breakfast prepared by the very nice and helpful owner. Nice garden. We had wonderful time, we felt like at home, even better. Greetings from Poland, Iza, Kuba & Leon.

Review 19:The hotel was very clean, very stylish. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for everyone, and with no doubt would stay there again.

Review 20:don't go off season. the island literally closes on Sep 9th (give or take)

Review 21:Location is perfect, rooms has all you need, very clean, heavenly breakfast (ask Kaliope for her pear handmade jam!!), but most of all- Kaliope and George's welcoming is so warm and embracing which immediately makes you feel like you at home. it was such a peaceful, easygoing, perfect week, we can't wait to come back. definitely our home away from home!

Review 22:no curtain in the bathroom, lots of mosquitos without a net eating you all times, taverns and bars are close so you can hear their noise every night

Review 23:clean rooms, good location but close to noisy taverns

Review 24:No pool, didn't bother me but the boys probably would have liked it.

Review 25:Very nice people, leisurely delicious breakfasts, good air-con so good nights sleep. Central location but no noise. Agistri is a small family orientated island with mainly Greek visitors, very safe and relaxing. 100 yards from the beach. V reasonably priced.

Review 26:I couldn't stay longer!!

Review 27:Excellent hotel for a short or long stay. Staff very friendly and helpful in every way. Homemade breakfast was to die for in the garden at the back of hotel.

Review 28:We had to come home.

Review 29:This has to be the friendliest place we have ever stayed. The breakfast in their garden includes homemade jams, cakes and pastries and kept us going all day. The setting is excellent being just yards from the beach and the centre of Skala. The hotel has being recently refurbished but has still kept its rustic charm. We don't normally go back to the same resort or hotel but we will be doing both next year.

Review 30:During my stay I enjoy everything and most of all the owners Kalliopi & George. Amazing people, awesome holidays magnificent hotel. Wish you all the best Yannis & Thanos

Review 31:Everything ... wonderful and helpful family, very pleasant room and vine-covered outdoor eating area, right across street from beach and bus stop, convenient to restaurants. All in all a fabulous place on a beautiful island close to Athens.

Review 32:clean, taken care of, thoughtful decoration details, location, great breakfast in the garden, kaliopi - the owner - makes you feel very comfortable, even better than the pictures, tavern in front has amazing food.

Review 33:I hope in the future to fix the technical problem and to have access to the internet in each room. Now it's only outside available, in the garden area .

Review 34:Isn't just a hotel , is a fantastic local experience of hospitality

Review 35:Nice hotel on the front next to the beach..Great Host and Staff

Review 36:Wi-fi not accessible in rooms, only in public spaces.

Review 37:Location, the staff

Review 38:small room

Review 39:place

Review 40:Fabulous home cooked breakfast, lovely family, great location, comfortable room.

Review 41:The room and the owners. Also near the beach and bars restaurants. Very clean and smart.

Review 42:no wifi in rooms

Review 43:friendly and helpful staff

Review 44:The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and generous.

Review 45:The perfect place in Agistri. Everything was perfect

Review 46:Couldn't find coffee maker, beds a bit hard but that seems typical in Greece.

Review 47:Super friendly and caring.

Review 48:We will definitely stay in Saronis Hotel again. Amazing staff/owners and very clean!

Review 49:-

Review 50:very nice and friendly personnel, amazing breakfast, beautiful location

Review 51:The bathroom was small and the there was no shower curtain, so we had to mop the floor after taking a shower.

Review 52:Beautiful and very clean in a central location.

Review 53:At times during the day teh bathroom was smelling bad. But as the rest is so nice you overllok this problem.

Review 54:The rooms were beautiful with a cute little balcony. Clean, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful garden. Total relax is promised in Saronis hotel!

Review 55:No shower curtains, so the floor got very wet!!!!!!

Review 56:Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and nicely decorated accomadation. Excellent breakfast, including GOOD COFFEE which is difficult to find at hotels! They made us all Freddos!

Review 57:Very friendly and efficient staff, impressive breakfast with homemade bread, cakes, pies, marmelades etc. served in a lovely garden, spotless rooms, and located right at the seaside.

Review 58:Place! It was so nice and uncrowded. And I felt the real hospitality of iceland Greece. I had the best running in my life. Aegistry was wonderfull.

Review 59:Nothing - it was all perfect!

Review 60:the most perfect little hotel on Agistri, run by the most friendliest family. All they want is to make their guests happy and it shows in every way. Both the Breakfasts in the garden and meals in the Taverna at the front of the hotel are sublime, with the freshest, tastiest food you can find on the island. This truly is a little gem of a hotel on this tiny paradise island.

Review 61:The bathroom was a bit small and the shower did not have a curtain which was practically causing a small flood every time we took a shower. The cost was a bit high especially consdering that we did not book the breakfast.

Review 62:The staff was really polite and helpful. The location is a big plus even though the island is quite small.

Review 63:Our reception by Pepe and family made all the difference - their warm welcome and the accommodation of our timing as we were only there for 2 days and they immediately extended the use of the room on the second day by a few hours! Then, when there was no bus to go to the little island of Aponissos in the south, husband Yorgos was commissioned to take us there - one of those places where the sea is a spectacular shade of turquoise! A few tourist shops added interest to an evening stroll and we had absolutely excellent pizza in probably the only pizzeria in Skala so easy to find. A very pleasant hotel experience combined with a large dose of Greek charm - recommend Agistri for a relaxing break!

Review 64:Incredibly minor niggles which certainly dont detract from the quality of our room; Shower could do with a shower screen and maybe some curtains rather than just a net.

Review 65:Lovely, modern and most importantly - spotlessly clean! Comfortable beds, great central location, quiet and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Review 68:In Saronis hotel you will realize the meaning of philoxenia. Do not miss the breakfast in the garden, otherwise you will miss everything.. Many thanks to Popi, Kosta and the Barman

Review 69:Restaurant below the hotel seems to cheat with reciepts, so check it carefully and ask, especially when you served by old guy (there are some waiters, he is the oldest).

Review 70:Owners - Poppy and her family are very freindly. Rooms are clean and bed are comfortalble. Sea is one minune, bus stop opposite hotel. Breakfast is traditional Greek - more sweet things, so if you want some meat/cheese you can buy it is shop and keep in freege. Was a bit noisy becuse balcony was on the restaurant side, but you can use berushi as I did - from the other side this rooms has a perfect view on the sea and church. So very good value for money hotel. Big thanks to Poppy for so warm welcome :).

Review 71:We must leave and come back home.

Review 72:Our second time there, excellent as the previous time. Very comfortable hotel, very clean, nice time we expended there. The family that owns the hotel is very friendly. Recommended place for a quiet vacations, with or without children.

Review 73:Bathroom a little cramped

Review 74:Great personal service from the family that run the place. Fantastic food in the adjoining restaurant. Lovely laid back atmosphere in Skala.

Review 75:no courtain in the bathroom for the shower

Review 76:The excellent service from Kalliopi & family Location, close to the port and the beaches Clean and spacious room

Review 77:Although it wasn't of any importance to me, I must note that the TV received only 3 channels (one Greek, BBC and CNN if I recall correctly) and even for those, the reception was terrible.

Review 78:The housekeeping was really good and holidays-friendly hours. The room we stayed at (#21) had really nice views of the sea.

Review 79:Our stay at Saronis hotel was amazing. The family which led the hotel is really kind and full of attention for their guests. The breakfast is rich and very good. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, cleaned. I will suggest this hotel to all my friends.

Review 80:Small shower with no curtain. The basemant rooms don't have privacy at their balcony. You better take the first floor rooms if available

Perfect location very close to everything, beach, bus station, restautrants and bars, no need for car. Very nice decoration, beautiful garden for breakfast, great owner, she provided late check out for free, and tasty food at the taverna they own in front of the Hotel

Review 82:The staff was very kind and willing of give us infos about we need. The room is very cute, decorative with navy style and we really liked it. An amazing beach is only 2 minutes walk away the hotel and a bus station almost next to it. We recomment it if you wanna visit the island.

Review 83:Nothing

Review 84:Owners were really lovely and welcoming and could not do enough for you. The hotel has been recently refurbished and it has been done very tastefully. The location is excellent 2 mins walk from the ferry and right across from the little blue dome church. We would thoroughly recommend this little gem of a hotel.

Review 85:Nothing at all! Everything is perfect!

Review 86:What can I say? Every time I visit Agkistri island, I stay there!...and I visit it very often!:) This hotel is an excellent place to spend your holidays at Agkistri island. Rooms are cozy and very clean (daily). Beds are huge and wonderfully comfortable with spotless fresh white cotton sheets and huge luxurious pillows. Don't miss the best homemade breakfast, back at the beautiful garden! You will have fresh pressed orange juice, excellent coffee as well as eggs from the familly chicken coop, fresh fruits from the garden and home made jams and cakes, served until noon! Hotel location is very central, 2 minutes from beach and right in front it is the bus station that takes you everywhere in the island. But, the most precious advantage of this hotel is the owner Popi and her family. They make you feel like you have you own family there. Hospitality is the word that describes your stay there!

Review 87:The shower has no curtain, so the floor gets wet, even if you're careful. It's designed to drain away, but takes a while.

Review 88:Very friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Comfortable room, beautifully decorated and kept sparkling clean. The breakfasts are delicious, fresh and very generous. It was early in the season (April) but I think the garden will look fantastic later. It's very close to the beach and the village has most things you'll need. I liked the location opposite the church. A lovely place to stay! Highly recommended.

Review 89:I would only ask that maybe a mesh screen could be put on the doorsso that the doors can be left open without the risk of mosquitoesgetting in.

Review 90:The owner Poppi was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to help. The hotel itself is charming, clean and comfortable and has wonderfulviews from the rooms.

Review 91:This was the best hotel room we have stayed in in Greece. We stayed 3nights midweek in early September just out of the peak season. Noproblem with noise at night even though we were on the sea front and allthe cafes and Tavernas were open. 1 minute walk from two sandy beaches. The previous good reviews for the Hotel matched our experience.

Review 92:At some point an unpleasant smell came from the bathroom, even though the bathroom itself was squeaky clean. There is a tavern in front of the hotel. It was noisy at night, with the windows open. However, once the balcony doors were closed - no noise came through.

Review 93:Location: 2 mins from beach. Decor: Pretty decor, a lot of effort has been put in for the decor. Calming colors of pale blue and green. The room was clean and neat. There were even mosquito tablets. The hotel hostess was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 94:Nothing Saronis has some of the nicest rooms I have stayed in Greece.

Review 95:Rooms are very spacious, in good condition, clean towels and sheets daily. Kassiopia and her husband and two boys are very friendly and could not have been more attentive Variety at breakfast very good

Review 96:The family that run this hotel are extremely helpful and always with a smile on their face. The hotel is clean, in nice location and with a nice garden in the back.

Review 97:No shampoo or shower gel, soap only. Wi-fi only on the veranda and therooms close to it. Beware: beaches do not belong to hotels, deck chairsbelong to pubs, so you have to either pay abt 5 euro for a chair a dayor buy smth from the menu. There is a free public beach a minute walkfrom the hotel near the harbour (mark fake palms). Had a bad experiencewith the restaurant in the hotel building (hotel and restaurant areseparate businesses): took the fish dish recommended by the waiter andpaid 20 euro, it costing 8 in, say, Yanna hotel restaurant, or 10elsewhere.

Review 98:Bus stop at the entrance to the hotel. Wonderful breakfasts. Veryhelpful owners, did almost impossible to please my 70y/o grumblinggrandmother (changed the curtains in the room, cooked soup for my grannyfor breakfast, went to the neighbouring island to buy flowers and a cakefor her birthday, and did suchlike crazy good deeds). Good housekeeping. No fighting over towels taken to the beach, which (as it turned outlater) was typical for most of the hotels in the neighbourhood.

Review 99:The family running the hotel were very hospitable, they made sure we were comfortable and at home. The rooms were very welcoming decorated with colorful ribbons and fish shaped cushions.

Review 100:Everything was great! It is exactly what you can expect from a hotel ofthis category/type and very important is that it is what you see in thephotos and not something else as a lot of other hotels. It is clean, with a very nice garden in the back which unfortunately we haven'tbreakfast there (next time for sure) and 2 minutes from the main beachof Skala and right in front of it is the bus station. Above all theseour hostess and owner of the hotel was... I really don't have words.Always with the smile, funny and nice. She was the reason that we choosethis hotel even though we have found and others in the same price orlower. She was so kind and funny when I first call before we book theroom that there was no way to go elsewhere.Thank you!!! Our stay was excellent. I almost forget to mention that in the front of the hotel there is a tavern which i think belongs to the family also and the personnel was very friendly and the food was good enough.

Review 101:The staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. The restaurantstaff and recommendations were superb. The best food we had in two weeksin Greece. The hours for breakfast from 8.30-12.30 meant a very relaxingmorning. Room was fresh, clean and tidy and exceeded our expectations. Iwill certainly return to Saronis in the future.

Review 102:When I arrived you get a great welcome a drink it was very hot, awonderful room with a balcony with clothes line, which we used everyday, little kitchen which was great as I used bathroom sink to sterilizebottles and we could use kitchen sink, kettle to make tea and coffee anda fridge to keep wine and cold drinks to sit on the balcony overlookingthe sea after a hard day sunbathing. Attention to detail decoratedbeautiful very artistic garden for breakfast and always helpful gave mea high chair for my baby lent me her car to see the island felt likefamily after stay and would definatly recommend the location near shopsbeach and opposite the bus to take you to the blue dolphin.

Review 103:A little piece of paradise! This hotel is well managed by a charming three generations family who is doing its best for the guests good feeling. The hotel is a typical white greek house with blue windows. The room is very confortable and well furnitured. Don't miss the breakfast! You will have fresh pressed orange juice, excellent capucino as well as eggs from the familly chicken coop, fresh fruits from the garden and home made jams.

Review 104:The owner was the sweetest most kind and accommodating woman I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. She made sure we were comfortable every minute of our stay from letting us borrow beach towels to pointing us in the direction of private beaches. The hotel itself was clean and oh so beautiful with a sea view! LOVED IT!

Review 105:The shower caused the bathroom floor to be perminantly wet. This was a design fault that we had to put up with, however, it was only a minor issue.

Review 106:You could tell that the hotel was a family run business as the staff were extreamly friendly. The breakfast's were out of this world. We had fresh towels every day and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. I would recomend this hotel to family and friends.

Review 107:Our room in the Saronis Hotel was exceptional! It was probably the best we have ever stayed in in over 30 years of Greek island hopping. The bed was huge and wonderfully comfortable with spotless fresh white cotton sheets and huge luxurious pillows. The view from our balcony was of the iconic Agistri church with the sea behind - so memorable. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Review 108:As last year , everything is perfect.

Review 109:Wifi was poor..actually not exists! and so many mosquitos in the room.

Review 110:Wonderful breakfasts served in the garden. Great hosts.

Review 111:Geat hotel very clean and convinient great staff excellent breakfest

The Fine Print

Kindly note that breakfast is served between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily.
