Reviews for Lincoln Self Catering
Review 1:Steep metal stairs up to the accommodation I found negotiating up and down them with my suitcase very tricky.
Review 2:Lovely room with everything you could need provided. Spotlessly clean . The Simple toiletries were a nice touch too.
Review 3:The apartment was clean, bright and modern throughout. The bed was very comfortable. wonderful shower. The location was good for walking into Lincoln centre.
Review 4:Only one very small mirror in the bathroom. Bed took over the room, but I would rather that than too small.
Review 5:Good communication, flat had everything you needed for a short stay. Booklet with all the information about the appliances and places to eat etc. I thought that was brilliant.
Review 6:Neighbors were very noisy when we visited so we didn't sleep very well. There were parties all weekend.
Review 7:Great place and value for money. Virgin tv and WiFi was great. Lovely little place.
Review 8:Could do with a blind in bathroom
Review 9:Nice and close to city. Good hosts sorted out a minor problem All you need for self catering, including toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc Clean and tidy
Review 10:I slept very badly as we were on the ground floor with the same entrance as another B & B property and I was woken up by the other guests late and noisy arrival. I didn't like that the front door could be left unlocked ( and i discovered in the morning it had been) so anyone could come inside the hallway right outside our door. I was also woken by people arguing and general noise on the street outside. Unfortunately I could not find the key when I got there and the owner seemed annoyed when I rang him! Lastly, the shower...either scalding or cold.
Review 11:Well designed small space with everything you need for an overnight stay. Clean, central and modern.
Review 12:Very small room, felt more like camping, fold down table with only one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. Very small kitchenette in passage way.Owner contacted me after I first posted my review and asked me to change it as he felt that I had scored the property too low. He said that this was the smallest room and would have moved us if he had know we found it to small, however as he never once contacted us during are three night stay to check if everything was ok we had no idea and I was somewhat confused as to why he had put us in the smallest room if there were larger ones available. Furthermore, I was very unhappy about being contacted by the owner and him trying persuade me to up my score I had given as I had already given my honest opinion and makes a mockery of the whole review system.
Review 13:fairly near city centre, with a really good pub, The Westend Tap around the corner.
Review 14:If you plan to cook rice/pasta/veg on the hob (rather than just heat up a ready meal in the microwave) check the range of utensils before you buy any food (eg are there any saucepan lids and/or a colander?).
Review 15:Short walk to city centre; free parking (booked in advance); earlier check-in than many other places; spotlessly clean; comfortable; relaxing.
Review 16:After being told there were no buses close to room, we did find that if you turned left then first right, and right again, there was a number 100 that took you to the bus staion in Lincoln. That certainly saved us time when going back from Lincoln in the dark, to the room we had booked. Pauline from Tamworth
Review 17:The Wi Fi was ridiculous. I had to go outside to log on, and then the log on would only last for up to a minute each time. My daughter was supposed to be studying but had the same problem and had to re-locate to a cafe in town. Very disappointing.
Review 18:Convenient location. Comfortable bed.
Review 19:Fabulous little flat, modern and spotlessly clean and incredibly comfy bed, nothing to much trouble for owners & staff highly recommended would book here again better than a hotel.
Review 20:Boiler made noises during the night. Noise from upstairs, could do with further sound proofing.
Review 21:Close to the Quay and city centre. Good local pub round the corner
Review 22:Was a studio layout not an apartment. A hob ,microwave and sink in between bedroom and shower room not even a kitchenette. No pillow or duvet protectors. Lights went due to shower in the room next door. Far too expensive at £100 a night.
Review 23:It was close to where we needed to be. Clean.
Review 24:Although newly refurbished, the quality of some furnishings (for example cutlery, toilet seat, bi-fold door to bathroom) felt a little on the economical side.
Review 25:Apartment appeared newly decorated and furnished. Parking was good. Location was convenient. Bed was supremely comfortable. Management were attentive to resolve issues
Review 26:Nothing really, maybe include a hair dryer for the complete package.
Review 27:The location was excellent for the university grad ball & the facilities excellent for getting ready & finally the beds very comfy for a good nights sleep! Go go back again, great memories.
Review 28:Kitchen too compact. Not really conducive to self-catering. Nowhere to wash and dry dishes. Limited resources. Toilet/shower room lacked privacy.
Review 29:Location near the centre of Lincoln.
Review 30:The only constructive comment I could give is that it would be nice to have a full sized mirror over the bathroom sink as the light is better in there for doing my make up. There is however a small shaving mirror in the bathroom and a full size mirror in the bedroom so this is only minor.
Review 31:Great location, under 10 minutes walk from the university. Very secure with two stage key-pad entry system (codes emailed to you prior to arrival). Apartment had everything I needed and more- all spotlessly clean. Quick and easy to set up wi-fi. Lots of nice personal touches like Simple shower products in the bathroom!
Review 32:Immaculate, newly converted compact flat, put together very thoughtfully and having everything you need for a short stay. Located close to the very historic city centre, a short, if steep(!), walk away.
Review 33:No shelves in bathroom, or shower mat more shelves needed in kitchen black out blinds difficult to open & close Worried about toaster under wooden shelf
Review 34:Landlord very helpful Location, near river restaurants & sights. comfortable bed Great TV channels SKY
Review 35:Shabby outside surroundings, depressing stair-case to enter apartment, tired and off-white towels and bed-sheets. Lack of meet and greet human contact.
Review 36:Exotic Bathroom, Full SKY entertainment, well arranged self catering facilities
Review 37:The Apartment was located around ten minutes walk from the railway station and the centre of town. The furnishing appeared to be all new and the bed king-size. The apartment itself was spotless and had everything one needed microwave, hob, toaster, table and chairs, bathroom, cutlery crockery, towels and as an added bonus a full Virgin Package that contained every channel imaginable, including Sky Sports and the Movie channels it was also very pleasantly decorated. In essence excellent accommodation.
Review 38:Coming Home!
Review 39:Stayed for two nights for a chill out week end in Lincoln and was not disappointed. The house is near the Brayford quay with all its restaurants and bars so eating out is no issue what’s so ever. The rooms were spotless and there were bath towels on hand which was a bonus. The best thing about the room is the T/V (Male thing) it’s got sky sports on it! Bed was comfortable and there were toiletries in the shower room so I guess Martin had tried to think of everything to make our stay enjoyable.
Review 40:Floor was dirty didn't feel it hade been cleaned. Shower has a pull cord that we were not aware of had to call to find out how to get it working
Review 41:Martin was very prompt to help area was good value for money
Review 42:Central and very quite and clean
Review 43:Great apartment with parking, close to town quiet and warm
Review 44:Rather cramped due to oversized double bed. On pricey side probably due to Christmas Market weekend

Review 48:Were met on arrival and everything was perfect for our weekend stay

Review 56:Very cleverly set out to make the most of space. Very conveniently located
Review 57:A lovely self contained flat. Everything you needed was provided. Easy walk to the city centre. Couldn't fault it at all.
Review 58:close to city and public transport.
Review 59:Very very thin walls. The building itself was probably split in 3 sections which are rented seperately.
Review 60:All was recently new, IKEA, but new
Review 61:Near to city centre and within 10 minutes to most major attractions.
Review 62:All was good
Review 63:Very cosy little bedsit every thing that you need for a short break in the heart of Lincoln.
Review 64:only 2 of all crockery and cutlery. car park very uneven surface
Review 65:convenient location for sites

Review 67:Everything was spot on, and well worth the price we paid for 2 nights.
Review 68:Good location
Review 69:The lack of a table cloth
Review 70:The comfotable bed The microoven Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance
