Reviews for Hotel Jezero

Review 1:A bit far from bus stop (about 15 minutes walk with luggage), no air-condition, no water (can get from the restaurant) and a bit expensive for limited facilities in the room.

Review 2:Great location near exit 2 and have free upgrade to 2 day pass. Staffs are nice and helpful.

Review 3:In winter it is a little difficult to walk to the bus station.

Review 4:This hotel is in a fantastically portion to explore the National Park. Rooms are comfortable and staff friendly. Good value for money.

Review 5:Slightly difficult walk to the bus stop (either stairs, or walking on the road). But not too bad.

Review 6:Perfect location next to Entrance 2. Once inside you can get the shuttle bus to all the other important parts of the park. Very nice hotel room with balcony and comfy bed.

Review 7:Many tour groups (especially during breakfast very crowded)

Review 8:close to park entrance 2 (3 minutes walk) free ticket extension for full fair one day tickets for the whole stay!

Review 9:The check-in lady was not very polite while answering questions.

Review 10:The location is really good. Very close to the entrance 2. The breakfast is great with so many choices. They also provide the hot waters for fill-up the mugs.

Review 11:Apart from check in, staff were surly and resented being asked any questions. Our minibar turned out to be an empty cupboard Breakfast was truly awful...and was being cleared away before we had finished.

Review 12:Spacious room, nice balcony

Review 13:The breakfast was not good, but bad.

Review 14:We could go directly to National park Plitvicka Jezera from the back of the Hotel. The room was enough size to open big baggages. The best hotel to go Plitvicka.

Review 15:The location is perfect to start the day exploring Plitvice Lakes. The hotel is located just across the ticket office and entrance to the park. You can arrive to the hotel previous night and leave your car in the free parking area.

Review 16:Some staff were unfriendly or even rude, esp. in the bar. Luckily also positive exceptions (reception, restaurant).

Review 17:Most beautiful place in the world!

Review 18:Bus dropped us off at one of the two entrances, which was about 10 mins walk back to the hotel. As it was pouring with rain and there was no hotel shuttle available found a handy taxi to drive us all of 2 mins down the road - charged 50 Kuna!

Review 19:Excellent location for quickly accessing the Plitvice Lakes National Park. It has all the amenities needed in this fairly remote location.

Review 20:The facilities are really poor and old. No A/C. The breakfast was so touristic.

Review 21:The location was nice. Very near to the Plitvice. and the day after staying here, they gave the validating stamp on my ticket to enter the Plitvice. That was a good system.

Review 22:Outdated hotel, staff was not too friendly, too hot in room. Slightly overpriced.

Review 23:Close to park. Free wifi, parking, great breakfast, excellent for one day to visit park.

Review 24:The hotel did not provide clear information to residents that the hotel is right beside a ticket stand and park bus stop. We even asked the receptionist for map but no one told us. Because of that, we walked from the hotel to Entrance 2 to get tickets and walked back to the hotel to take the park bus. Waste lots of time!

Review 25:There were no vegetables for breakfast. The price was more than the average around countryside.

Review 26:The location was the best if you want to spend 2 days in Plitvice

Review 27:Nothing it was lovely.

Review 28:A fantastic spacious apartment in the centre of the old town with beautiful antique furniture (which was even nicer than the photos in real life). The apartment was spotless and Danira the owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful by meeting us at the bus station and informative about the local area. We only stayed for two nights but wish we had the time to stay longer. I would highly recommended this apartment to others and if I return to Zadar I would definitely come back.

Review 29:No air conditioning anywhere in the hotel made it a little uncomfortable, and no swimming pool in which to cool off after a hot day of hiking in the park.

Review 30:Unbeatable location to visit Plitvice Lakes early in the morning before the crowds arrive.

Review 31:The location is great and we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. I had read some bad reviews about the hotel being old and not kept up and the food was bad, etc. We had a nice suite with a great view and comfortable beds. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the wine was good and so was the steak and the apple strudel. The service was also good. The location for seeing Plitvice was great and they validate your 1 day ticket so you go free for the second day.

Review 32:It was definitely not worth the high price. The hotel is a bit run down, our bathroom drain did not go down and when we told the staff they did not seem to care.

Review 33:Location was the best

Review 34:No AC. Not a big deal for me but it would have been if it had been hotter outside. The restaurant for dinner was only so-so. Didn't love the food and the service was poor.

Review 35:The hotel is definitely outdated, but it didn't really affect my stay. The staff were very friendly and helped with anything I needed, like printing a bus ticket. The room was clean but no AC, but it happened to be a cool night so I had no problems. I like that you get a 2 day ticket to the park for the price of 1!

Review 36:No air conditioning, room was boiling when we checked in and didn't cool down till late in the evening

Review 37:Excellent location, situated very close to entrance 2 and to the bus stop

Review 38:10 minute walk from the bus stop (with no sidewalk- very tough with luggage) not necessarily a very nice hotel, but one of the few options in the area

Review 39:Good breakfast, easy access to the park, friendly staff

Review 40:Booked a suite for 2 night. The room wasn't very cozy with weird furnishing, design and planning. No balcony or air conditioning. The staff was rather unfriendly and the restaurant didn't live up to the expectations. Considering the price we payed - not a good value for money.

Review 41:Great location right next to the park's entrance.

Review 42:We had a terrible experience because we went in the hottest days in Plitvice and the entire hotel had no air condition or even a fan. we really suffered in the heat and humidity. Also, the location of the hotel is quite a distance to walk from the bus stop - especially if you are carrying heavy luggage.

Review 43:The location was close to the national park

Review 44:The staffs are always busy. Not so friendly. But what can you do about it? they are the closest one to the entrance of the park.

Review 45:it's close to the park

Review 46:The breakfast could have had names for the dishes and it could also have been more versatile.

Review 47:The staff was very friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

Review 48:An ordinary hotel if don't consider its proximity to the entrance

Review 49:Entrance is just behind the hotel. Get free entry of the second day if the ticket is validated by the staff.

Review 50:Our only complaint would be the inconsistency in service - mostly staff were excellent but occasionally not. One particular waitress in the hotel restaurant was a shocker!

Review 51:Plentiful all you can eat breakfast, but pretty ordinary, reminds me of boarding school food. Our shower (which was over the bath) didn't drain properly, and then flooded up through the drain in the floor, flooding the bathroom! No aircon, and it was hot in August.

Review 52:Very well located hotel right in the National Park, so you can walk to the nearest lake, and get there before the crowds of day trippers arrive later in the day. Bed was comfortable, linen clean and nice, we slept well with our window wide open as no air conditioning, and it was hot.

Review 53:There wasn't much that we didn't like about place.

Review 54:Staff where pleasant and very friendly. Breakfast was at the very high standard good selection. Over all good value for money.

Review 55:Perhaps at check-out the staff were a little slow in processing our bill, as it was very early in the morning (about 7 AM).

Review 56:The rooms and their magnificent views.

Review 57:No Air-conditioner(All hotel facilities) So I recommend not to use this hotel during summer time cuz it's sooooo hot.

Review 58:Good Location. Easy to approach "Enterance 2". Kind Employees.

Review 59:Attitude of female staff members. In our 3 weeks of traveling around Europe, the staff or hosts have been excellent - until we got here. It seems they know they have the monopoly, with only a couple of hotels to choose from in this exquisite area. Having said that, I wouldn't miss visiting Plitvice Lakes for anything as it is the most stunning vessel of water.

Review 60:the balcony facing out to lots of trees was very serene and private.

Review 61:No air conditioning, people smoking in rooms and would come into our room. We had to keep sliding door open because it was so hot. Also poor drainage in shower

Review 62:Location was good. Friendly staff

Review 63:Bus from Zagreb drops you off walking distance to the hotel. Make sure to get off on the second stop in plitivce lakes. Also if you purchase a ticket into the park, the hotel will validate it so you get the second day free. Well worth the extra splurge if you want extra time in the park

Review 64:Was a really hot day and there was no air conditioning. An open window didn't help much Hotel is spartan, which is fine, you are paying for the location, not comfort.

Review 65:LOCATION! You walk out the back door and a set of steps takes you to the front door of the national park. I'd stay again for the location, but not on a hot day.

Review 66:Walking to the hotel from the bus stop along the main road with your luggage in tow can be a slightly treacherous experience given that oncoming vehicles may not be able to see you as they turn round a bend. Fortunately it was still bright outside; we can't imagine attempting this at night!

Review 67:Conveniently located near the entrance of the park. Friendly hotel staff, especially one of the waitresses in the hotel restaurant who remembered our dining preferences from the previous day. I'd recommend trying the stuffed squid if you like garlic!

Review 68:From bust stop unless you know you can duck in via the National Park entrance it is 700 meters down the road with no pavement. Old rooms and facilities. Breakfast chaos with huge tour groups. Not even place to sit. Breakfast real tour groups style. Staff very 'old fashioned'. You sort of neat to fit in with the pattern! No outdoor pool.

Review 69:The position in the forest bordering the National Park. The incredible tranquility in the night.

Review 70:The decor and bedding were outdated (think thin, polyester quilts). Felt like we had stepped back a decade. Because the area had major storms the previous day, there was no satellite TV. Food was decent, but on par with cafeteria food. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for food in the area.

Review 71:Location was spectacular! We were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk into the park. We also enjoyed the on-site spa services--decent prices and good service.

Review 72:Wifi connection wasn't great. Also, some staff were extremely rude. We asked one of the staff members to find out the cost of getting to the bus station, instead they called the taxi right there and then. We asked them to re-book and they said they couldn't do it. They were very rude and unhelpful.

Review 73:The hotel has them most closest entrance to the park. Its a basic hotel but you have everything you need.

Review 74:Getting to the bus stop to come back was a bit troublesome and bus timetable was a bit out

Review 75:It was close to the national park - the staff we very helpful, the facilities were good - overall had a great time 1 i would love to come back again

Review 76:We are staying in a suite, it is spacious but the upkeep is rather poor. The bath tub tend to fill up with water after a while if I use the shower, such that I'm standing in water, making it pretty dangerous to move in the tub

Review 77:I like the proximity to the park & the freshness of the air & sounds of birds when you open the windows

Review 78:terrible food, bus crowds, service staff barging into room even when "do not disturb" sign is on door, at early hours - 7.30am

Review 79:easy access, helpful staff, close to park

Review 80:No kettle, no fridge, hot water cost 12kuna 50s deco (probably neverredeco since 50s), you can also here clearly what people talk in thecorridor. Bathtub is blocked, shower head is broken. Charged as 5*hotel, but actually the hotel isn't even meet bnb standard. If youhave a car, do not stay in this hotel

Review 81:Only few staff are nice and helpful

Review 82:Busy and crowded breakfast. Too many large tour groups competing for food at the same time. As independent travelers, we were overwhelmed. They need to stagger the times for breakfast of the large groups.

Review 83:Roomy, deck and quiet

Review 84:No transfer service for visitors from the bus stop to the hotel with a lot of cars running at high speed beside the pedestrians. A hotel porter is providing transfer service to the bus stop at 500kn which is steep and looks unofficial.

Review 85:Location in the park.

Review 86:Draft from the bathroom ceiling over the bath.

Review 87:The location is stunning. The view from our apartment at the rear of the hotel was terrific. Rocking chair in the. Room

Review 88:The hotel caters to tour groups which would normally get regular rooms. We booked on our own and booked a suite. There were no amenities such as toiletries or even tissues. Didn't get the value for a suite.

Review 89:The hotel is a short walk to the entrance to the national park. Nice setting in the trees. Dinner was good. The waiters were nice.

Review 90:Only rooms for 3 people- we're traveling with family of 4 & had to get 2 rooms. Most expensive hotel we stayed in Croatia, proximity to national park excellent

Review 91:Dinner is not met hotel standard. (order fish is safe for you) Bed is too old. (For people who go by bus, hotel Bellevue is closer to bus stop)

Review 92:The hotel is right in the Pitvice national park entrance. The view at balcony is quite nice. Breakfast is quite good.

Review 93:While there is free wifi, it is rather slow. Additionally, it would be nice to have a tea/coffeemaker in the room. However, these are minor details as it is a very nice hotel.

Review 94:The hotel is very close to the park, and the staff can validate your park ticket for a second day. The breakfast has a wide selection as well.

Review 95:The food. The servers are great. The menu choices are crazy and food quality is low... I hope they can find a chef that will simplify the menu to allow for fresher and higher quality ingredients. The hours to use the sauna area are totally ridiculous... needs to be open all day.

Review 96:We parked our car and left it there the entire trip! It is basically a park entrance! The front desk even stamped our park tickets so that we could use them for 3 days! Comfy beds, super clean, helpful and friendly staff... we loved it.

Review 97:no evening entertainment, overheated even in winter months, water in the pool a bit cold, staff in the park could be more friendly, not much variety for breakfast-buffet

Review 98:nice and helpful staff especialy in the restaurant, amazing national park Plitvice lakes, playroom for children close to restaurant, small but well equipped wellness area (pool, saunas, massage), clean and comfortable, good food for dinner (choice of 2 for each course)

Review 99:its an old hotel what to expect. small room and old bed. to me it doesnt matter since we were there for the waterfalls..

Review 100:The location is very strategic to go to the National Park station which is just walking distance from the hotel and the bus stops are also a few minutes walk.

Review 101:It' close to the entrance of the park but needs 10 min walk from bus stop.

Review 102:Memorable stay becaue of the helpful staff and beautiful environment. Our room is old but good to have balcony.

Review 103:Kindness of staffs were quite different depending on staffs. The receptionists were nice but others were useless. Having food in the room is prohibited..(even a coffee or soup. U can't find even a coffee port) I've never experienced this kind of hotel policy.

Review 104:Wifi is available for whole area. Very close to the entrance 2. Still walking distance to the bus station.

Review 105:Price in winter season.

Review 106:We visited in the middle of November, there were just a few customers at the restaurant. Kind Staff, they always gave us the clear answer to solve the matter.

Review 107:The restaurant - breakfast buffet was very poor, no made to order eggs, bacon not cooked well, cold meat/cheese, bread, fruit available but not much else. Dinner was a la carte but barely edible. No other options available nearby, heard restaurant at entrance 1 is better, but there is no shuttle between the hotels. Hotel room - no coffee/tea facilities, no wireless internet. BASIC hotel facilities... but you can't beat the location.

Review 108:The location was awesome, the front office staff very helpful.

Review 109:Staff is not friendly and not willing to share info about the park.

Review 110:Location - 2 min from the entrance to the park ( stop 2), good breakfast, comfortable rooms. We had extra day pass to the park since we stayed at this hotel

Review 111:The shower tub in my room was not functional well. Water couldn't continuously come out from the shower head so I was forced to use the tub. With the price I really don't expect this. Location is slightly far away from the bus station compare to the other two hotels in the park.

Review 112:Excellent staff service. A hotel aimed at higher end customers to the NP.

Review 113:Double bed was very narrow (140 cm) by today’s standards. No walk-in shower (which elderly travellers like us need!) Still has the air of a Communist production-line workers’ holiday resort from forty years ago.

Review 114:The hotel is easy to locate by car and plenty parking is available near the front door despite the large number of tour buses in evidence. Reception was friendly and helpful. Our room with balcony had a beautiful view of the woodland surrounding the lake and the area was very peaceful despite the large number of people going about. The room had adequate space and the bathroom was fully equipped So convenient for a stopover at the Lakes!

Review 115:The number of tour groups meant that it felt just like what it is - a volume business. The shower - a little awkward to fix in position over the bath but good water pressure and hot.

Review 116:The location makes this hotel. The most convenient base from which to explore the lakes.

Review 117:A staff member in the hotel gift shop was quite rude and arrogant

Review 118:We had a balcony room facing the Lakes and we left the balcony door open at night to fall asleep to the lovely soothing sounds of rushing water. Very comfortable rooms and a great location with a very short walk to lake buses.

Review 119:We were lucky enough to have a very spacious room with a separate lounge room and dining area with wide windows and two toilets. The hotel staff were very helpful and because the hotel was within the national park, we could have our tickets extended for an extra day. Dinner was "home style"and good value for money.

Review 120:Bath room pluming was new but still had some problems. We arrived by bus after dark. Would be nice if they had a van to meet the bus from Zagreg.

Review 121:Location was terrific. Room was very nice. Private dining room at dinner for guest not part of a tour was nice. Would have liked the same at breakfast. No complaints.

Review 122:2 day stay was way too short. The park was very very busy, full of people and new rules on boat rides.

Review 123:Great staff assistance especially with our 80 year old mother. Room had great view of forest and lake. easy access to park and bus rides.

Review 124:Great property with a wonderful pool. Staff was very accommodating, nice, and easy to work with. The manager left me a nice present for my birthday.

Review 125:Could do with a new menu.. old fashioned. Peas were like pebbles..perhaps less choice and better quality food. All food was very salty.

Review 126:studio was lovely.. new reno on the first floor, great reception staff.

Review 127:If your arriving by bus from Zagreb be aware it is a decent 10 minute walk from the bus stop through the forest to get to the hotel. It is pathed but not well sign posted and lots of stairs, not very easy with luggage! Not all staff are very welcoming. While we had great service in the restaurant the reception staff member that check us in wasn't friendly at all. Really this hotel is over priced for what you get however there aren't a lot of hotels close to the lake so I guess they just charge what they want.

Review 128:This hotel is in the perfect position for exploring the lakes. We ate all our meals at the hotel as the food in the cafes at the lakes didn't look too appealing. The food at the hotel was wonderful! We really enjoyed both the buffet breakfast and the normal menu.

Review 129:The room is a bit dated. There are no other restaurants near by except for the one in the hotel.

Review 130:The location -- it's right next to the national park! You can return to the hotel to rest after the morning hike, and then continue the afternoon hike.

Review 131:The hotel and the rooms in general need to be refurbished urgently! The infra-structure is very good, but the furniture, carpets and the decoration should be modernized. Our lunch there was great, but the breakfast should be improved.

Review 132:The location is great, very close to the park entrance. We had a good lunch in the hotel’s restaurant, which came quickly and in great portions!

Review 133:Distance to bus stop specially when it was pouring rain.but really that was not a promblem

Review 134:Waking up to the sound do water from falls and the view of the forest.staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 135:Location was aweful. But if you ride a car, I think this hotel is a nice choice. I already mentioned they gave a stamp for one more day free entering.

Review 136:I really loved location. Expecially if I stayed at this hotel, they gave me a stamp which was to permit visiting next day. I could save lots of money and time. But if you arrive there by bus you should walk almost 15 minutes with luggages. There was no restaurants near the hotel. So you have to eat at hotel restaurant. Waiters and waitresses were kind and have hummers.

Review 137:Wifi in the guest room and restaurant is not steady enough! Quality of breakfast (buffet style) is just average.

Review 138:Excellent location (near entrance 2 of Lake Plitvice) and offer of re-entry (waiving of fees) to the Lake for the 2nd and 3rd days.

Review 139:Quality of breakfast Gym was only open half a day

Review 140:Comfort of room and hotel Excellent value dinner and bar menu Massage (cheap and best I've ever had!)

Review 141:As the hotel is large, there are large groups of travelers. So... crowded breakfast room at some times.

Review 142:Just at entrance #2 of the National Park. Large number of rooms, most of them with a balcony and if you're lucky with a view on the forest. Staff really friendly. A souvenirs shop at the ground floor. 2 free computers with access to the Internet in the lobby.
