Maria’s Villas features an outdoor pool surrounded by a furnished sun terrace. Its self-catered accommodation has a terrace or balcony overlooking the garden, mountain or olive groves. Kastelli Beach is 2.5 miles away.

Review 1：The only thing missing from our otherwise perfect stay was proper coffee and fresh orange juice at breakfast.

Review 2：The best part of the day was to come back to the Villa after a long day on a beach, to take a dip in the pool and listen to the sound of crickets at dusk. Having a dinner on the terrace and looking at the night sky was fabulous. Maria Villas feels like a home away from home.

Review 3：There was nothing I didn't like. The Internet didn't work upstairs but worked perfectly down stairs.

Review 4：A lovely little get away in a beautiful setting nestled in the hills. Angela was a great host making us feel at home. The breakfast is fabulous served in the pool area overlooking the hills. The location is perfect for people wanting to explore the area but you must have a car. I went with my parents and my young child so three generations were extremely satisfied. Thanks Maria Villas for a wonderful weekend break.

Review 6：The villas are furnished beautifully and the entire property is gorgeous. We stayed in #8 at the top of the hill; it was very quiet and private with 2 outdoor spaces and a million euro view. The location is perfect for exploring the far west end of Crete. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Review 7：The view of the mountains and the olive tree orchard at sunset are divine. A beautiful familly of traditional greeks are runing this place. They offer for breakfast vegetables and fruits from their own garden. Definetly the best brakefast we had in Greece. For sure a pleasure to come back sometimes.

Review 8：We paid 300 euro per night for 1 room. The room was absolutely notworth the money. They did not clean the room. There was really bad wifiin the restaurant and no wifi in the room. We did not have cleantowels. Unbeleavable. For that money we expected really more service.The room was big but with furniture that did not match. Review 14：When we arrived and Angela showed us our "deluxe" one bed apartment we were a little bit disappointed. First time in years we were forced to switch rooms. The second "villa" we got was a little bit better. I mean, there was a great potential there, but insides have seen better days.I only mention a few: a broken clock, not working fireplace, mould on walls, chairs falling apart, unconformable bed, dust everywhere, overall just not up to a standard of even 3 star hotel or luxury villas. For €1100 for 11 days with half-board you must expect something much better. Every B&B in Ireland we have been to were far better. The words like "luxury", "deluxe" or "4 star" shouldn't be used here. The Villas look great, but only from the outside or on photos. All in all, the Maria Villas is a great place if you consider it as an average 3 star hotel with great surroundings, nice atmosphere, good food and great location to visit West-Crete. If you'll be able to book it for the half of the price we paid and you won't expect much, then it might be worth it.

Review 15：Maria Villas is a great place away from the crowd, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Maria and Angela will make you feel like home. We stayed there for 11 nights. The food was good and we had a good relaxing holidays. Maria Villas are located close to Balos and Elafonisi beaches (around 40-50km), and close to Samaria Gorge, which was a great location for us. You'll definitely need a car here. The atmosphere was country style. The swimming pool was nice. There are only 7 villas here and guest usually chat to each other like neighbours, which was great and... That’s it for positives.

Review 16：Gps coordinates on booking.com are way off. If comming from Kissamos(Kasteli) you will see the sign to branch left. Comming from Topolia,there is no way you can see the sign and turn 270 degrees.

Review 19：Maria and her whole staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they made us feeling at home. The villa we had was very spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The Wifi in the room was fast. Breakfast was serving at the terrace every morning with a huge range of fresh food. The hillside location is perfect for those who are looking for a pleasant and quiet holiday - but you definitely need a rental car. The view is amazing and the pool area is just perfect.

Review 21：Maria's Villas is ideally located in the west part of the island. It is very easy to reach any point of interest by car (Paleochora, Elafonissi, Falassarna, Chania ...). The view was fantastic and the place was very warm and quiet, with a very nice swimming pool. The host were very helpful and kind. Great traditionnal breakfast served every day. Room was spacious and functionnal with everything you need to cook. To sum up, nice price quality ratio.

Review 22：This is not a criticism but our young children age 3 and 18 months needed constant supervision on the lovely open wooden stairs and when walking past the excellent pool flush with the surrounding paving. Others would admire these features.

Review 23：The breakfasts were most comprehensive with a backdrop of the hillside view and a glimpse of the sea. Manolios could not be more helpful. The fixtures, fittings and ornaments were all to a high design standard. The fabulous beaches of the far west of Crete, Phalasarna, Elafonisi and Balos by boat are all within easy reach. We all had a wonderful holiday

Review 25：everything.stayed in a beautiful deluxe studio, traditional style. Comfortable bed, excellent facilities. Super swimming pool. Breakfast traditional cretan served by the pool. Maria the owner is the heart of the hotel and Manolis an exceptionally polite person who served our breakfast every morning. Kept very clean by Dimitra an exceptionally happy looking girl. Thanks to them all for a very relaxing stay.

Review 29：We just stayed for two night but it is worth to stay longer. It is perfect for anyone who wants to relax and have a quite place with a great view. It is very close to falassana beach and balos. Elafonissi is 40 min with the car. Xania is also close with car. The stuff is very friendly and helpfull, german speaking as well. Great place, we'll be back.

Review 30：The bed was a making noise when you turned around in it. So we put themattress on the floor, but we slept perfectly afterwards.

Review 31：Maria's villas is situated at the top of a hill giving you abeautiful view of the surroundings. The pool is next to the bar andterrace. Breakfast is served outdoors with only home grown products.Manolis is very friendly (speaks only German though) and the owner Mariawas also greeted us with a warm welcome when we arrived. It is in aquiet place, although is close to the beach and restaurants (by car).

Review 33：Villa Maria is the most beautiful place to stay in. Very quiet, there where 3 other couples staying while we were there & we didn't see or hear anyone until the last day at breakfast. Manolis & Maria are lovely & couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating . This was a short trip for our honeymoon & we would highly recommend it!!
