Review 1：Security - you had to lock up at night and the windows could only be opened partially for security. Would have been good to have security screens to enable fresh air to circulate in the evenings.

Review 5：Close proximity to the beach. didn't really need to take the car out. and right by the bus stop to go to the other surf beach or into the city centre. I had an apartment overlooking the courtyard and pool. Quiet.

Review 6：Bedroom was too light in the morning it had white venetian blinds. Room needs either black out blind or curtains fitted, as it has on other windows.

Review 10：Our flight from Melbourne was delayed and reservation staff from the hotel contacted us to inform us on later arrival procedures to obtain room keys after hours. Wanted to steal the mattress and pillows. (good nights sleep).

Review 16：This spot is the hidden gem on the Sunshine Coast. The apartments were wonderful, all set around a pool, everything you could need. Perfect for people wanting to experience the beaches without all the hype and highrises.

Review 17：The managers, Frank and Nina, were so 'no-fuss accommodating'. A later check out time was easily negotiated, and a faulty jug instantly replaced. The unit was beautifully positioned with a view over the esplanade and water glimpses through the trees; lovely. We will always want unit 31 now, as we have such good memories of our inaugural stay.

Review 19：We had a 2br unit, very clean. The kitchen lounge area was very spacious which was great. The master bedroom was also quite big. Pool area was nice, plenty of shaded areas. Pool is heated but still quite cold! Although kids didn't seem to mind. Great park and beach across the road

Review 21：Having to pay 25-30 bucks for internet is awful, what is down-right robbery is that you only get it on 1 device. My family couldn't be on the internet at the same time. Only 1 person on 1 device. We won't be going back for that reason alone.

Review 24：Loved everything about this property. With 6 of uss in a 3 bedroom apartment - there was ample room and became very affordable even in school holidays when split between 6 of us. We have stayed previously in a unit at Kings Beach owned by friends for free however this unit was much nice and we will certainly be returning. Everything we needed within short walk and never had to take the car out of the garage. Just would have loved a spa in the pool area!!

Review 27：As we get older we are more needy of the right type of bed/pillows. This stay was an average bed, the stay before was good, but we do not rate our stay on what type of bed as we have been in several units and all have different types of beds. Also with our aging, it is a bit more difficult to get in and out of the shower/spa bath, but as husband and wife we can help each other if necessary! It is still manageable but I tend to stiffen up if I am in the one position for a while, and I love to relax in the spa bath!

Review 28：Portobello is our 2nd favorite place to stay. We like the area, the fact that we can walk to different facilities, like for breakfast lunch or dinner, with us being in the mature age section! And it is basically away from the hustle and bustle of the other side of Caloundra.

Review 52：Dicky Beach is a fantastic place to stay. We had a 2 bed 2 bath apartment on the 3rd floor. It was comfortable and had a small balcony which was a lovely place to sit. The location is fantastic, across the road from the beach and next to shops and places to eat. The pool is lovely and has a BBQ area for guests. Got a lovely welcome on checking in and appreciated the secure undercover parking. Great value for the price.

Review 76：what i didn't like was just that on the pull out sofa bed from the couch in the lounge room it had a padlock with a chain attached to it so you can pull the bed out from the couch so you could watch foxtel movies in the lounge room and watch a movie in bed and relax laying down watching a movie instead of sitting on the couch that would have been the only thing to make it better or put a tv in the bedroom as well if they don't want you using the fold out bed on the couch but besides that it was very very nice

Review 102：Some of the ancillary equipment such as the air conditioning and the tv/dvd/cd units seemed old and did not work properly - lacked simple operational guidelines. A personal introduction to the unit with a quick run down on what is available and how to operate it would be helpful instead of having to go to reception to ask how it works. We had difficulty in unlocking the sliding doors to the deck. One of the chairs had a broken side rail that I reported with assurances that they would be over to collect it in a few minutes but they did not and was still not fixed by the time we left. It did not affect us but it was sloppy maintenance.

Review 109：The space in the apartment. We did not take advantage of the facilities per say, but next time we book we will know what is available and use it to our advantage. We enjoyed our time at Portobello, but the weather was not to our liking and so put a bit of a dampner on our weekend!

Review 110：Pillow were incredibly soft and made it uncomfortable - could be easily solved by taking your own. The mattress probably was in need of replacing. It was a little tricky at first to work out how the shower/spa nozzle worked in the bathroom.

Review 112：Pia and Lance are friendly and very helpful, a pleasure to deal with. Accommodation all you could want. Great swimming pool, loved by the children. Shops right there, all you need, extremely friendly people in every shop. Beautiful beach. Bus very close, just didn't realise bus no longer goes to Australia Zoo so rental car with gps recommended if going further afield though this is relatively inexpensive. We would stay at Portobello By the Sea again, definitely.
