Reviews for Hotel Zora
Review 1:A kettle in the room to make tea or coffee would have been nice. The TV was old-fashioned, and the choice of channels limited.
Review 2:The breakfast and evening meal buffet were very good.
Review 3:The reception staff could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly.
Review 4:The large choice and quality of food, the room, the location, the facilities, the staff (the bar, cleaning and restaurant staff).
Review 5:The half board nature is not to our liking - lots of people pushing for food in a noisy room, as it we were starving refugees. We checked out after one day and found a delightful apartment for mess than half the cost.
Review 6:Location
Review 7:Unfortunately the staff is not at the same level. The service is very bad and, with some exceptions, not very willing to assist the guests in their requests. You have the impression that you are bothering the waiters. They prefer to talk to each other instead of serving you and bring you just three glasses even if you are four at a table (happened several times)... The premium rooms have structural problems, in our case doors difficult to lock (asked twice to have somebody to come to repair it but nobody came) and windows not closing well, television not working, pieces of the shower falling apart... At the reception they are not able to explain you what is the difference between (your) premium room and a standard one... In the restaurant/ self service the plates and the glasses are not cleaned/washed well. I wonder when would this dalmatian people understand that the client should be treated as a king and not considered as a nuisance, like somebody who is in their view trying to steal "their" sea and coast. It's a pity!
Review 8:The place is wonderful. The hotel is placed on a peninsula in a pine wood. You can reach the to the seaside there is just 1 minute/100 m walk from your room. The view on the village of Primosten and the sunsets are fantastic.
Review 9:Rooms only have the most neccessary things. No wifi in rooms, paid in lobby.
Review 10:Breakfast, dinner are great. Sea and beach is amazing. Bars and sport facilities are nice.
Review 11:Difficult access to the beach when having a baby buggy or using a wheelchair Smoking in the restaurant allowed when food is being served and lots of kids around Our room did not have a balcony despite we paid more per premium section
Review 12:The Room - in 15 m2 they had put third bed ??? Dont you read the reservation ? Poor tv channels (specialy when rains) ! They didnt change linen during 7 days ! No place where to dry towels on balcony ! Air condition from 1970. ! No wi-fi (only at reception) ! Where to put towel near the sink ? Hotel guests need to pay for parasol and deck chair on beach ? On check out we didnt received invoice for our stay even we asked for it ? Reception staff cold !
Review 13:Position close to the beach, view, near city centre, squirrel on the tree :-)
Review 14:Poor and out of sense breakfast, lake of commodity in the room, wifi practically doesn't exist whether the staff provide you with data for conection, hotel without soul and sense.
Review 15:Position, surrounding, natural beach, vicinity of the beach and historical City, immersion of the erected complex into the mediteranian flora.
Review 16:Hotel could use the renovation, especially the pool which is quite neglected. There is no service on the beach, such as ice cream, drinks or coffee. On the hotel beach, beach chairs and umbrellas are charged.
Review 17:Great location with a beautiful beach and clean water which overlooks the old city Primošten. Beautiful terrace bar for coffee break or the romantic evening drink.
Review 18:Rooms were a bit run down. No air conditioning. Got quite hot in the room. Wifi only worked in the lobby and didn't work too well at at times.
Review 19:Location and beach were great!
Review 20:EVERYTHING including beach chairs and umbrellas is extra (£14 per day for 4 chairs).. Food ghastly. Staff unhelpful. Unless premier club, in need of complete renewal!
Review 21:Location great.
Review 22:Hotel is terrible and not worth even fraction of the price they are charging for it. Rooms are old and worn out. Air conditioning in our room wasn't working at all (it was blowing a little bit but not enough to bring down temperature), and when we complained about it they sent a "technician" who put a few sheets of paper around it so that "cold air" would blow more towards the room instead of ceiling. Suffice to say that this did not help at all and we had to spend almost all night on the balcony because it was so hot and humid inside. To top it all off, even though our room was supposed to be "non-smoker", entire room reeked of cigarette smoke. There was also an ashtray in the drawer so room was clearly intended for smokers as well. Also, there is no WiFi in the rooms to speak of - the only place where one can get WiFi is in the lobby/terrace of the hotel and even there it is so slow that it is borderline unusable. When we complained to staff about this, there was nothing they could do about it since "those old rooms are all like that" and hotel was fully booked so none of "premier" rooms were available. Also, she couldn't reach the hotel manager and without him/her there was nothing she could do.Dinner buffet was ok if you like sea food, cakes, and other unhealthy food. If you are looking for healthier alternatives your only option is side salad. Also, what they fail to mention is that even though we purchased half-board (breakfast and dinner) drinks were not free for dinner so you have to buy them at ridiculously expensive prices. To sum it up, in our opinion Zora is a very old hotel which is being marketed as "renovated" but the sad truth is that only hotel lobby and restaurant have been renovated, as well as handful of rooms which are referred to as "premier club". Everything else is old and shabby and definitely not worth the price. Rooms shown in pictures on booking.
Review 23:Hotel is located in a very nice part of town, directly above the beach, with a beautiful view. Breakfast was also nice.
Review 24:It was stated that the room is with a balcony, actually it was only "french window" so it was little bit inconvenient to dry wet towels etc...
Review 25:beatiful location, wonderful beach and seeview
Review 26:Incredible walk north from the hotel by the sea. Gorgeous upper level terrace bar with amazing view of Primosten, the sea and the beach. Good AC plus ceiling fan. Older hotel slowly but surely upgrading rooms and amenities. We booked the more expensive room in the main building with lobby, bars, restaurant and direct access to the sea.
Review 27:The outside of the building is in need of modernisation as is the pool area, some of room fixtures & fittings are also a little dated, but don't let this put you off.
Review 28:We booked a premier room which turned out to be more like a suite. Public areas, bars & restaurant are excellent.Excellent location straight out onto Primosten beach.
Review 29:Restaurant is horrible. Food is below average, there's no foreign wines (which is very negative as the Croatian wines are not good) and the beer is the most expensive in the whole of Primošten. Everything looks out of date, although it must have been impressive 20 years ago. A bit on the expensive side considering the food is bad.
Review 30:Nice location with 2 beaches in the immediate vincinity Large room Comfortable beds (although I'd prefer 1 180cm bed instead of 2 120cm ones) Very clean. Friendly staff.
Review 31:The room wasn't that clean, our hairdryer wasn't working. You didn't receive any soap. Just 2 little bags for 1 time use and the rest was on your own. Price is too high for what you get. I think the growth of tourism and the hotel caused the oldness of all... It's time for some refraishing for the price they ask...
Review 32:The food was nice and delicious, but not very healty. Too much use of butter and margarine... Good view all around the hotel, nice staff. Nearby Split, Sibenik, Krka Waterfalls, Trogir, you can combine the neighbourhood and relaxing at the beach at one vacation. Lots of possibilities of activities to do in the neighbourhood.
Review 33:Excessive smoking on the beaches and everywhere outside casts shadow on otherwise perfect stay. Many French and Croatian clients may not respect non smoking ban in hotel rooms (cigarette smell in the corridors) .
Review 34:Perfect location on pine peninsula, dar from traffic, clean sea, beach oriented to east and west, i.e.you will always a place according to your taste - without waves ir with, sunny or in the shade. Approx. 1200m2 playing area for children in the pine wood, incl. two pools and many amenities, incl.large baby club under roof. Perfect for abyone who does not mind rather basic style of hotel rooms.
Review 35:Amazing facility on the pebble stone beach. The pool and two large lounge balconies are overlooking a beautiful azure sea. Buffet meals are good. Lots of fun for children.
Review 36:We ordered a Premier Club room, solely because we wanted a balcony. When we got the room, it turned out it was only a french balcony. Enjoying the view from open doors on the french balcony does not make much sense when there's 30 degrees outside and the air conditioning is not powerful enough even with closed doors. We contacted the front desk and said our booking confirmation said balcony explicitly. This created some fuzz, and we spent about an hour arguing with the staff. They did not try to hide that they strongly disliked our precense. The second night (out of two) we did get a new room with a balcony, but without any appologies or reimbursments. To our pleasant surprise, the booking confirmation (and the pamphlet in the room) said "free use of the mini bar with soft drinks and water, dry snacks and 1 cocktail per person once per stay". This turned out to be wrong. Even when showing the staff their own pamphlet, they refused, and charged us. The sum was not in any way large, but still the attitude of the staff really surprised us. They did give us a voucher for two free drinks in the bar, but hey, we were checking out and leaving for the airport....! All in all, the attitude of the staff surprised us, and it's a shame that this is what we remember from Zora. Another thing: half board is included. If you enjoy eating together with 500 other people in an area that resembles a military canteen, with a great bunch of noisy kids running around, this is your place. If not, book your dinner elsewhere even if you have already paid for the dinner at the hotel. The peka at the Konoba Galija is a great experience, really to be recommended!!
Review 37:Nice location close to the charming old city, with easy access to the beach and several activities.
Review 38:The hotel large balcony lounge is overlooking a gorgeous pebble stone beach adorned by azure sea. The hotel pool is overlooking the sea and visual affect is stunning. The beach is surrounded by pine cone trees giving it a shade and a stunning scenery. Amazing retreat for all agrs
Review 39:Conditioning in the rooms is poor. Room and bathroom cleanliness is really poor (1 star hotel) Internet available only in the lobby. Staff uninterested.
Review 40:Excellent Location: right next to the beach (you'll need rubber shoes as is stony). Supermarket and old town restaurants are aabout 10min walk.
Review 41:We stayed in one of the three star rooms and it was very dated for the money we paid. We were paying 60 Euros each per night and it definitely was not worth the money for the standard of room we got, considering that private two bedroom apartments can be rented in town for a similar price. Also, guests of the hotel had to pay nearly £10 per day for two loungers and a parasol on the private hotel beach. This was ridiculous not only because of the high price, but also because it was the hotel's beach. Similarly, we had to pay for parking at the hotel even though we were staying there! There was no wifi in the rooms and only in the lobby area. This could be a great hotel as the location is probably the best in town, but it needs refurbishment and a reality check with regards to prices.
Review 42:The location was brilliant. The room looked out to the sea and the private beach. The hotel was located at the end of a quiet wood and had a private beach which was much quieter than the public beach further down the coast. The centre of town was very close and easy to get to. The check in staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a good selection of food and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace in the mornings.
Review 43:The first thing you see upon arrival is the worn down building that has been neglected and poorly taken care of. Semi interested staff welcome you, giving you absolutely no extra information apart from the direction of your room. But the real disappointment is yet to come. As I walked in our 150€/night room, I was really surprised - in a negative way. 20+ years old furniture, pre-historic AC that didn't work, bathroom with no electrical sockets, broken door handles, everything so worn down and awful. Not being able to close the bathroom door - that was too much. Upon explaining it to the reception staff twice and the reassuring that they will fix it, nothing happened. Don't me get started on the dinner - self service style with 3 whole choices of not so tasty meals. We were not going to pay 1100€ for a week of this disaster, so we left after 2 days. To whomever is deciding to stay there: DON'T!!! For the money it costs to stay there,or even less, you are better off some place else. Highly recommend you not to stay there!
Review 44:The location - in the center of Primošten- at the beach. Breakfast was relatively ok.
Review 45:Given worst room in hotel. No fan or air con. Appx 90deg heat in my room. Did not sleep for the first two nights of my stay until they moved me to a superior room. Cracked glass panels between rooms. Very poor. Food poor
Review 46:Staff. Views from hotel. Taxi drivers. Access to beach and short walk to town. Cleanliness of the hotel.
Review 47:The rooms look like from the communist days of recreation facilities of the Unions (Zotavovňa ROH). The prices are quite European but the rooms and inside of the hallways look shabby. Hotel definitely needs remodeling. WIFI is reachable only in the lobby of the hotel. Trees should be cut to allow view from the balcony to the sea. Drinks in the restaurant are quite pricey: 2,5 € for anything (beer, juice, water) is just too much for this level of accommodation. I would recommend this hotel after its modernization.
Review 48:The location is superb, very close to the beach and just 5 minutes to the city center. Nearby is a supermarket which is convenient. The food was good as well. Very European, tasting somehow natural - domestic.
Review 49:The bar prices
Review 50:The location and great value for money
Review 51:Internet access, parking ( need to be paid)
Review 52:Location, rooms
Review 53:No wifi, no clean bedding
Review 54:Location, laid back
Review 55:boats by the beach, less than clean seawater, long lines at breakfast/dinner
Review 56:beach, shade, very tasty dinners, nice promenade
Review 57:Towels not replaced; equipment at Fitness centers are all broken. Quality of food is not so good.
Review 58:The confort room was awful and we were moved to a premier.
Review 59:The view and the food and service.
Review 60:Guests were extremely rude.! Clearly a hotel for French. Staff were mixed, some so helpful others SO rude.!
Review 61:Great pool and location was stunning.
Review 62:Hotel. Beach food
Review 63:The hotel should renew some facilities like sauna, outdoor facilities, etc
Review 64:The hotel has an extraordinary location, green environment, ...
Review 65:-Overcrowded catering area/restaurant -Bit overpriced (value for money ratio not the best)
Review 66:-Location -New beach area
Review 67:Easy location, room with a lovely view, good food, clean big beds,
Review 68:NO parking spaces, too crowded
Review 69:Food is excellent, and the location is perfect
Review 70:Wi-Fi not available in our part of hotel. No mini bar. Food selection for breakfast same every day. Overpriced.
Review 71:The location is superb.
Review 72:No Internet Staff uninterested
Review 73:Beach
Review 74:Every day the same offer for breakfast with missing fresh vegetable (some days) and fruits at all.
Review 75:Beach area completed with sun-shelters....
Review 76:Food could be better, showing signs of wear and tear.
Review 77:Fantastic location. Pine tree peninsula surrounded by a pebble beach. Beautiful view of Primosten.
Review 78:The old town Primosten and the hotel Zora has the best location right on the beach of the beautiful coast of Croatia. The view from the hotel is perfect. Food was good and everything was clean. Much value for money.
Review 79:pool not supervised even though there are cameras some people allow their children teens do what they want and that was unpleasant I finally reported it because of safety factors otherwise no concerns
Review 80:pool was not little by any means thoroughly enjoyed place; food selection was great; lots of walking areas and city nice place to visit
Review 81:Some facilities like children playground were closed at the time of our visit (May). Bath and restroom ate little run down (3* rooms).
Review 82:Location near the sea in pine forest. Quiet, yet reasonable walking distance to center. A lot of walking and bikeing paths. Nice little in door pool with heated water not crowded at time of our visit (May). Large rooms with large beds. Good selection of meals for breakfast/diner buffet.
Review 83:-small swimming pool in case of bad weather -comfort/classic rooms are less ok
Review 84:-location and the city -very close to the beach -premier club rooms are ok
Review 85:I would say the hotel is generaly overpriced. Conditioning in the rooms is poor, internet access only in the lobby.
Review 86:Very cute location. The whole peninsula is the territory of the hotel. Another peninsula in a walking-with-children-distance is a charming old little town. Therefore there is a choice of - wilde beaches in pine shade or beach with music, batut and boats for rent; little swimming-pools for children or a beautiful one for grown ups; buffet in the hotel or conobas with sea-food in town. Enjoyable place!
Review 87:The hotel facilities look a bit tired, and need renovation. The beach iscovered with small stones, and one needs a deck chair, which costs 20kn/day. Other Croatian resorts where I stayed had paved beaches. Itwould be good if the hotel would offer towels for the beach.
Review 88:The staff in the reception is very friendly and helpful. The hotel issurrounded by the scent of pine trees, and the crystal clear blue sea.It is a nice get-away place. Primosten is a small village with severaltaverns and restaurants. Young people would most probably find itboring. Yet, one can easily reach Sibenik, Trogir and Split by bus (30,30 and 60 mins respectively).
Review 89:old furniture, wc looked dirty even though it was not perhaps because of the old style. Room mades semi cleaned, it wasnt quite clear what exactley were they doing. Asked for an iron at 9 p.m., had to pick it my self at the reception, and return it back that evening because they had only one iron in the hotel.
Review 90:Sea view was lovely. Calming place and isolated hotel location from the old town. Being wide spread, not more than two stories. Didnt have the chance to swim in the pool, but it looked great.
Review 91:Location - right next to the beach, which is good for swimming. (Take your rubber beach shoes, the beach is stony). Veranda's for evening drinks.
Review 92:A bit too regimented; a "bunfight" at mealtimes.
Review 93:Great location by the beach
Review 94:slaba izbira jedi pri večerji
Review 95:lepa lokacija bližina centra mesta
Review 96:-climatization no working -refrigerator to the room was too expensive
Review 97:- everything was very old like from the early 90ties, - poor value for money.
Review 98:- magnificent localisation!!!, - nice breakfast and dinner, - clean
Review 99:The location, fab town, friendly and unspoilt, a very beautifull and a must return to venue.
