Review 1：All is good but there isn't a lift which may be a problem for some people but fortunately, that doesn't worry us at the moment.

Review 2：This is a small friendly hotel. As usual, The staff were excellent. We arrived well before check in time on Christmas Eve. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to have the room early. Food is excellent. We invited family for Christmas Day lunch. It was superb and served with a smile.. Although very busy, the staff were really efficiency and pleasant to everyone. The drinks are fairly priced too. I would highly recommend this hotel. The car park is massive and free which is a bonus.

Review 3：The staff seemed a little disorganised, although I did arrive at 11pm and as there is no dedicated reception staff it was the bar staff who checked me in and they were busy serving drinks at the bar to several other guests / customers

Review 11：Very loud and offensive guests arriving back drunk resulting in a disturbed night. It appears a fight occurred and blood was noted on the landing and handrails in the morning.

Review 14：Good, friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable, warm and had all you need for a one-night stay. Good food in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Only a few minutes off the motorway and at a good price too!

Review 15：Walls and doors are 'made of paper'. As long as all the guests are respectful of this fact then there is no problem (as is the case in any hotel).

Review 19：The hallways of the hotel are very dated with very small passageways and delayed lighting, very noisy between 11.30pm and 12.30 including creaky floors and banging doors. Poorly fitted laminate flooring in the bedroom.

Review 28：Rooms were dated and the double bed was two mattresses which were different heights, leaving a ridge in the centre of the bed. The narrow sink in the bathroom was virtually unusable and you hit your head on the glass shelf if you bent over to splash your face.

Review 54：Rooms weren't clean - rug was filthy. Wasn't comfortable standing on the floors with bare feet. Flies around the breakfast area and food on the floor. I booked the honeymoon suite - for a joke - and it was far from luxury. We stayed here because of closeness to Haydock races. However, it still cost us £55 in taxis to and from the hotel and this was the good rate.

I had a long drive ahead of me after attending my mother-in-laws funeral and wanted a nap after my breakfast as would be traveling with children. 3 times after that I was disturbed the fourth time as I was almost ready yet again was checked on (it was now just 11am) very bad practice!!!
