Reviews for Strathview Lodge

Review 1:Everything was great

Review 2:They were extremely accommodating and provided a cot for our little one at short notice as she was not meant to travel with us. The room was very spacious and well equipped for our trip. Check in and check out was easy and hassle free which was helpful with the little one tagging along

Review 3:Not very much round about but only as short drive (approx 5 mins)to Dornoch for a selection of shops and restaurants for dinner. Mattress was quite hard but didn't stop me getting a great sleep.

Review 4:Very friendly owner, very helpful and did a great breakfast.

Review 5:What's not to like?

Review 6:Beautiful bed, shower room, heating system, warm carpeting, cupboard space with plenty hangers, soft towels. Lovely woman who welcomed us.

Review 7:I unfortunately suffered a very bad fall, nothing to do with the Hotel but poor health, & the owner Gavin could not have done more than he did to help me. Many, many thanks Gavin

Review 8:Much appreciated the shower with power! Room was more spacious than some, host was welcoming and a delightful conversationalist, and the awarded-winning haggis choice at breakfast was delicious. All was spotlessly clean.

Review 9:The owners went out of their way to be accommodating to our needs. They made breakfast particularly early (5.30) for my husband who was cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. We didn't ask them too, they volunteered, truly over and above our expectations. Lovely people. And lovely accommodation with a beautiful view.

Review 10:Nothing negative to say about this stay.

Review 11:Lovely, friendly welcome to spacious, modern facilities, very relaxing. Massive breakfast in the morning set us up for the onward journey.

Review 12:This is a lovely property. We had a beautifully appointed room which was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The position, very close to the coast, was beautiful.

Review 13:We thought for the time of year the price was too high. The average price for a B and B north of Inverness is £65.

Review 14:We were very comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was excellent and very nicely presented.

Review 15:Due to its rural location it was hard to find, for the first time, in the dark. Better signage needed. I was not the first to point this out !! Improvement is planned.

Review 16:Excellent - Beautiful area. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The food was good and the host friendly.

Review 17:A great place to stay. We had a very comfortable room with a great view over Loch Fleet. The proprietors are very nice and they made sure we had a great stay. We will certainly go back when we're in the area again.

Review 18:Set within striking distance of John o'groats by bike. The building is in the middle of nowhere - the owner prepared a meal for us - probably the most welcome meal we'd had all week.

Review 19:Lovely little place with beautifully decorated bedrooms and everything you could need. The family were lovely and very welcoming - great chats about travelling experiences over breakfast. Thank you, if I am up that way again I will be back!

Review 20:- Value for money could be slightly better, given the location (not near any major attraction / town)

Review 21:- Very clean, high-quality & new interior - Hosts are really very friendly! - Breakfast is very good

Review 22:The view from the B & B is amazing! The room is large and well appointed, the bed large and comfortable, and the en-suite shower cubicle a good size with decent water pressure. The patio doors lead onto decking with a seating area to take advantage of the view. An information booklet is provided which answers FAQs and provides useful information. There was a clear separation between guest areas and the family living area with a bell to ring for attention if needed. The owners are friendly but give you space and privacy.

Review 23:Nothing negative.

Review 24:Owners were friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. B&B in a beautiful position with stunning views.

Review 25:The location is off the main highway, which is handy, but is not in a town centre or within walking distance of any restaurants.

Review 26:The owners make a killer breakfast, possibly the best I had throughout my Scotland experience. The room had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. Very quiet and peaceful location.
