Review 1：it is difficult if you arrive without a car, in order to find transportation u need to walk through the beach for a few mins

Review 3：The only MINOR complaint is that there were so many small lights in the room that stayed on at night - a light in the switchboard, permanent lights on the main light switches (so you can find them at night), lots of lit symbols on the air conditioner...it made it quite light in the room and I found it hard to sleep (that said, it didn't bother my partner at all!).
Review 4：The owner (Dimitrios) was amazing - always asking us every time he saw us if there was anything we needed. Our favourite beaches were along Orkos and Aliko so this was a great location and about 10 minutes drive into Naxos Chora.

Review 6：We had a wonderful vacation. The owner, Dimitri, is extremely kind and the room was clean and comfortable. The quality-price ratio is very high. This place is a little bit difficult to find but it's the perfect location for relaxing. Try his Moussaka! The best we have ever had!

Review 8：The food, service and the location! The beds in the beach are a nice extra. You can walk to a few other restaurants. Or rent a motorbike to reach more places.
Review 9：great location, the hotel is just a few metres away from the sea. Dimitri (the man who owns the place) and his team offer you everything you can wish for. We were a group of friends, and what we found there exceeded our expectations. It is also the perfect place for families with children, young or aged people, for everyone. I would definitely recommend the hotel further, and it is a place where I would come back with pleasure everytime.

Review 11：The staff is really helpful and friendly. Private beach in front of the hotel. Simple but beautiful clean room. Towels were changed every day. Loved the ocean view from our little private balcony. The food is great. Car is necessary to move around the island because of the remote location of the hotel from the centre of Naxos, which we prefer as a more relaxing solution.
Review 12：Amazing location, just a few meters from the beach, which was perfect for me and my husband since we wanted a relaxation holiday. We received a nice clean room with beautiful sea view and fresh local fruits as a welcome treat. We also tried the delicious mousaka cooked by Dimitri, the owner, who is a great chef and a very friendly person. Many thanks also to Lucia, Katerina and Irina for their hospitality. We are looking forward to come back to Naxos and stay here.
Review 13：Small and intimate hotel with simple, yet beautiful and clean rooms, with a nice and private balcony with ocean view. The hotel is located in the southern part of Plaka beach, in a quiet, less-crowded part of the beach. Peaceful and quiet, stunning view. Oh, and it is right at the beach. We loved that it got really dark at night, so that you could go down to the beach and watch the stars. Also a wonderful place to watch the sunset. The service was fantastic, yet relaxed and with a personal feel. The owner Dimitrios was very helpful and friendly. He is a really good cook, and will make you wonderful meals with mostly local produce. FANTASTIC food, eat as much as you can! The location is good for exploring the island, since it is not too far from Naxos town, yet it is easy to go further south, for example to Mikri Vigla, or up in the mountains, to the villages. Rent a bike, car, or take the bus, (bus stop is 10 minutes walk up the beach) Will definitely stay here again if we return to Naxos.
Review 14：It is a 15 minut walk to the bus stop across the beach if you want to go to Naxos town. This was fine for us but hiring a car would be good idea if you want to see more of the island.
Review 15：The room was spacious and very clean with fresh linen every day. Location is right on the beach wich is romantic and private . The owner made us home cooked food to order every night for very reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful.Overall a lovely stay.
Review 16：This hotel has a superb location, right on the golden sandy beach at Plaka. Nearby you can also find the fabulous beach of Mikri Vigla. The rooms are spotless and spacious, and the owner is extremely helpful and attentive. We loved the location right beside the beach, the gorgeous sea views and eating yoghurt and honey on the terrace in the mornings, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend some time relaxing by the beach in a beautiful spot in the Cyclades.

Review 24：No one seems to have mentioned that Plaka beach is full of middle aged nudists! Don't worry this is a bit of a walk north of Horizon and not on the doorstep. Ideally need a car if you want to explore the island. There is a dirt track to the property so we used the beach as a shortcut, bring a torch for evening excursions. You won't have this problem if you have a car.
Review 25：The location suited us fine as we were able to walk to Plaka and Mikra Vigla. A good 'get away from it all' spot as there's not much around and plenty of space on the beaches. Very peaceful here. Very clean and great value for money. Demitris is always on hand to help if you need advice.

Review 29：Horizon Hotel is 50 metres from a wonderful beach in a very quite area of Plaka. It is the perfect place to spend the day relaxing on the beach ( hotel umbrellas included). You can try Dimitri's cuisine (recommended). Also there is a tavern 10-15 minutes walk through the beach. Bus to Chora and more Tavernas 20-25 minutes walk. Chora 20 minutes by car. Very friendly owner and staff.

Review 31：Dimitris is really helpful with everything and the girls at the reception very kind and smiling. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, with nice furniture and decoration. I only tried the food once and it was very good.
Review 32：Unique location - beach. Rooms are very close to the beach (i agree with 30 meters). Dimitris is a great host , always willing to help you and also he is cooking the best Greek food using local Naxian products. Very clean and quiet rooms and a private beach.
Review 33：As it is a bit remote you might need a car, Quad (as we had, which can be rented everywhere) or a scooter for shopping or going to restaurants.
Review 34：The location of the hotel is about 1,5 km behind the the main beach area with all the beach coffee houses, bars and beach supermarkets. It is about 100 m from the beach. It has several rooms. Looks like 4 of them (2 lower and 2 upper floor) with sea view. We had one of the lower floor with our own entry. The breakfast (in case you order) was served to our terrace. We heard the sea waves at night. The owner (Dimitry) was very nice and cooks very nice specific food for diner (best you ask during the day). The beach is perfect sandy and there are umbrellas and beach-chairs belong to the hotel which can be used for free. No traffic as there is no road between the hotel and the beach and just a sand-road leading to the hotel from the other side.

Review 36：Acces on a small land road, but we knew this since both our visits in 2012. This shouldn't be a problem for what you get ...there. We knew this and actually it isn't that bad at all. This is NOT a bad comment, only an explanation.

His ingredients are top-quality and his cooking excellent. The beach directly in front of the hotel is also very fine, and it's nice and quiet in the evening.

The beach is only 30 metres away and is a whitesandy, clean dream with clear deep blue water lapping onto the shore.The hotel has its own sunbeds for guests to use which was mostappreciated. You need a taxi to get there but it is worth the 20 eurosas it is far away from the masses and incredibly peaceful for somewhereso beautiful.
Review 41：The hotel is situated practically on the beach, no main road around. Very quiet and good view on Naxos landscape and beach.Tasteful design and decoration, nice garden. Wifi available in the lobby was an important facility for us. Thorough cleaning - really appreaciate it! Very attentive staff, eager to respond to our requests and even anticipate them. Dimitrios offered us very useful information on exploring the island. Very good coffee, icecream and cookies. We loved our staying here, thanks for everything!
Review 42：Accomodation, view and location were perfect. Very quiet and near to the wonderful beach. Dimitri and stuff are excellent hosts and care very well about the guests. The cooking was perfect too and the price moderate. Much better than tourist restaurants in the town. My wife has got a birthday surprise. It was a relaxing holiday and a good conversation to dimitri. Funny his old car with a belt that didn´t open when he drive us to the port. We will come again in future. Hope the plans to build a pool will be successfull soon.
Review 43：Horizon is an excellent place to stay. Admittedly it is down a long narrow road which makes you wonder where you are going, but you quickly realise that this is one of the things you value about the staying at Horizon. It is secluded enough to provide a peaceful base to return to (with a nice beach and the bottom of the garden) yet near enough to all that is good about Naxos to truly enjoy the island. Dimitri is a wonderful host and nothing is too much for him. Both myself and my partner had a wonderful time staying at Horizon and look forward to our return
Review 44：Amazing location and warm welcome. Dimitri is fantastic to explain whatyou can do e see in Naxos and is very helpfull for everything your stayin Naxos. The splendid beach is very close (30 metres) in front ofstudio with private umbrella and bed. Staff is very helpfull. Moreoveryou can eat fresh home made meal all day long. Very usefull!

Review 47：Hotel Horizon was amazing. The food is some of the best that my girl friend and I had in Greece. Dimitri was a great host, and did his best to make our stay perfect. The location was also perfect, the beach and countryside were beautiful. Also, do not be worried about the location being too remote. My girl friend and I did not have a car and managed to make use of the buses. The bus stop is a 15 minute walk away. It is another 25 minute bus ride to the capital city of the island.
