Only 350 feet from the pebbly Blue Flag beach in Rabac, the Girandella Tourist Village features an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant with panoramic views, a bistro and bars.

Review 1：Hotel is a bit shabby and needs renovation.

Review 2：Very good location with nice beaches, plenty of very tasty food, nice staff. We were in low season, so the price for what we got was unbeatble.

Review 3：The building and the rooms are not so modern, worse than the photos, but the value is correct. At the breakfast don't have vegetables, and the variety are very poor, although delicious.

Review 7：At dinner you can eat all you want, but you need to pay even for the simple water. We didn't like the weather, but its not Girandella's fault :) Wifi is only at reception, but its free Couch in our room had seen some stuff before,because he was falling apart, but we didnt sleep on it

I tried to explain that I haven't seen no smoking sign but he answered irritated:"do you see any ashtrays? If there are no ashtrays around it means you can't smoke! What would you do with cigarette butt - you wanted to throw it from the terrace?!?"

Review 28：There are several types of rooms, bigger, smaller, with or without balcony, sea view or park view...We stayed in superior room with sea view and a big balcony and I must say, it worth booking this type of room. The view from the restaurant is super. Also, there are plenty of food in the restaurant. The beach is beautiful, crystal clean and very close to the hotel. The place is safe: we left everything on the beach for hours and nobody touched it.Good value for its price.

Review 29：Where do I even start... First of all this is not a hotel. This is asmall complex of rooms, that were build probably around 80 years ago. Ithas 2 floors and all around "hotel" there are pathways forpeople, who can look directly to your room as they are passing by.The rooms have no isolation, you hear everything, what the neighbors from the room next to you, are talking. Everything!!! The door to the room is old and have no isolation between the door frame, so everyone from the "hotel" have a mission to close the door as loud as possible. Even at late hours.Everything was old and damaged. The wardrobe, the TV, the bed frame. In the pictures everything seemed so nice and beautiful, but in reality, you see that the pictures were taken a looooooong time ago, and are photoshoped. Don't believe their pictures, because they are lying!!!The window door can be closed very heavily, because they are big, clumsy and old. And also you do not get blinds, but old wood door, that you must close before you close window door, and you really feel like you are in a cage. Why close it? Because everybody can enter the room via balcony!I was there with my girlfriend and we specifically demanded the double bed. But we get two single beds, put together, with a hole in between.The bathroom is the most disgusting bathroom I have ever been in.The pipes does not have crome, they are completely worn. The bathroom curtains are so OMG dirty and yellow, that you can not believe. It make you want to vomit, seriously.The most annoying thing is that the rooms are in the ground floor and there is never peace, so you actually can't get a good night sleep. You hear neighbors, there are people passing by all the time. There was even a DJ with loud music one night. I don't want to sound cranky, but we went on vacation and these was far from it.Oh and you have to pay in advance, because of the valmar hotel policy. Why?

Review 51：The rooms were very old and not so clean, there was no air conditioner in the rooms what really ruined our stay in the village. the pool was nothing like the pictures in the site and wasn't clean and was really poor. one nigth it was really hot and we asked from the staff for a fan, and they said "there's only one fan in its in the reception for us". really rude. in the dinner wasn't water for drinking free and you need to pay. the first dinner we didn't know that and we couldn't drink the entire meal. whats the problem with free tap water?!

Review 53：At installation we were given number without a balcony and without a view of the sea though reserved with such criteria, the employee of reception told that it is our problems and problems booking.com, asked to come tomorrow morning to change a situation for us. Next day the chief manager long I told us as many problems from booking.com but nevertheless gave number with a balcony, the view of the sea was conditional - as behind a balcony huge bushes grew. About a view of the sea told that in hotel there is no view of the sea, and there is "a sea party" though when we went to look the second number, saw number which we reserved, but to us it agreed to give only for surcharge... and remained unclear why the hotel so arrives with their clients, it was very unpleasant... In two days us didn't let in a dining room as in our card it was written: "2 persons", and with us there was a child till 2 years who lived free of charge on conditions of hotel and again told that it is our problem...

Review 63：The rooms were old and not very clean. The rooms were dark and have limited space. The doors had to be open to allow air flow as there was no Air conditioning and at times the rooms were very hot. The staff had little knowledge and could not answer many questions without going to the main reception. There were limited beach chairs. The pool was for adults with no kiddie pool. So, combination of everyone together, resulted in little relaxation. There was no offer of towels to rent, hence bring all your own beach gear,chairs, and towels. Bring water shoes at the beach is rocky and hard to reach without climbing over some hard surfaces. The food/dining hall was a horrible experience. f you are into mass feeding of the hungry and pushing and shoving than this is the place to visit. I ate there only one time, as i could not take the mass of people pushing and fighting for food. Breakfast is only from 7 to 9 am,so for those on vacation you will miss breakfast...unless you want to go fight with the others in the two hour window . The staff started cleaning at 8am and entered our room many times without knocking, The staff were loud when cleaning and it seemed as if they wanted to wake people up and get them out of the room. The cleaning staff was not friendly and did not great us, even when approached.

Review 64：The location is nice. The place is very safe. TV was nice and had many channels. Balcony was big. The city of Rabac is small but very friendly and warm. Many places to dine and enjoy diner by the sea. The event staff was nice, but very few events at night. Coffee bar with wifi is avaialbe, but limited times and limited coffee/food options. The hotel next door was very nice, friendly and helpful. I went there to drink, have massage and pedi.

Review 65：I wouldn't recommend hotel Girandella to my worst enemy. Despite all of the bad reviews I had read I decided to book the hotel anyway - after all, it is a two star hotel, there is not much to expect. Well, we booked and paid for three nights, but decided to leave after the first one. First of all, the hotel is not really a hotel, but a set of old socialist buildings. We stayed at the part called Agava. I haven't been to the other buildings but the worst thing about this accommodation was the smell. Disgusting odor of an old building wouldn't let us sleep without the window open (there is no air conditioning so it was really hot in the room). The furniture in the room was new (but cheap), but the bathroom was very old (clean though). The walls are very thin, we could hear everything that was going on in the hall as well as nearby rooms. Some people were coming to rooms late and night and the noise wouldn't let us sleep. The comfort of the room was also not that of a two star hotel - in fact, I wouldn't give them those two stars, even one would be too much.

Review 66：Despite the horrible smell of the room, the bathroom and the room itself were very clean. Also the location is not bad - there is a nice beach and beautiful sea.

Review 67：The rooms were communist era prison cells. The carpet was icky. We paid106 euro per night -- way too much for this type of room (especiallywhen the Croatian couple next door was paying 32 euro a night for thesame crappy accommodation). I asked the hotel for a discount, but theysaid they could not give me one because I booked through booking.com.
