Reviews for Paradise Resort Hotel
Review 1:Wi fi is only available in the lobby and by the pool .Beds were among the worst of many visits to Greece.
Review 2:Pool was nice and refreshing. Hotel is located very close to the small downtown area and hiking to some spectacular beaches. They serve a very nice breakfast with lots of food.
Review 3:Fantastic hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect as it's very close to the little town but also on the right side of the town to walk to the best beaches, such as Pori. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with a fridge and kitchen sink. The pool is lovely and there is a bar and ice cream in reception. Will definitely stay here next time I visit Koufonisia!
Review 4:It looks like a bit expensive with standard price, because rooms are equipped quite old.
Review 5:Beautiful area around the pool. Great location with nice sea-view.
Review 6:The hotel lost our suitcases for half an hour on arrival and would have arrived with them late at our departure boat if we hadn't demanded that we take them ourselves (based on the previous trouble). There was absolutely no WiFi despite a promise of free WiFi (their WiFi was an off-the-shell router located at the reception, which was the only area it covered, and would fail after a few hours and had to be rebooted). The TV didn't work when we arrived (it got fixed after complaining) - it was also about 14". There was no phone in the room and no other contact to reception from the room. The balcony was not closed so anyone could enter and most other guests had a free view unto it. The "double bed" was in fact two beds pushed together with a large gap in the middle. Them room in general was not up to modern standards, but seemed left as it was in the mid 90s (decoration, TV, broken fax machine in the corner...).
Review 7:The location was good and the balcony view decent.
Review 8:Staff are not very friendly and hotel lacks the personal touch you normally experience on the Greek Islands. WIFI connection is very poor and not helped by the staff on it all the time (limited number of users can be online and it's only accessible in the reception and 1m from the door)
Review 9:Great location - halfway between the village and beach - we chose the hotel for the convenience of the swimming pool.
Review 10:We were waiting at the port in the van for them to "fish" other tourists. After that we were waiting at the reception alltogether to get rooms and keys like we were a big group and nobody was explaining to us the reason. The rooms are randomly distributed, so don't trust the photos of the sea views that are taken from the most nice balconies. The wifi was not working properly in the entire building. The rooms are quite ok inside, but not exceptional. In general they can do much better.
Review 11:The view was ok, because we had an upstairs room with a quite big balcony. The cleaning was fair and nice. Location is good because is very close to Chora and at the same time nice and quiet. The place is offering nice beach beds and hanging beds, around the swimming pool.
Review 12:Problems with the plumbing caused our room to flood. Wifi signals were poor
Review 13:A 3 minute walk from the seaport. The staff was friendly and cooperative. Bike rentals and restaurants were nearby.
Review 14:The hotel has great potential to be first class, but lacks the type of service ethic that we have become used to on other islands of Greece. We had adjoining rooms, but the second bedroom had no cupboard or facilities for clothing, and the "main" bedroom had only three hangers in the cupboard for rooms that cater for 5 people. The floors of the room were very dusty and we had to request that they be cleaned, as well as the balcony furniture which was too dusty to sit on. The staff had to be reminded to change linen, and towel changes came very late in the day. Service to the rooms was poor. Lovely pool area, but the pool area could benefit from having large umbrellas, as shaded area was limited. Breakfast was very basic and expensive for the quality provided. Whilst we recommend the hotel from a location point, and for the lovely pool, service needs to be jacked up considerably to raise the standard to the level it should be.
Review 15:The wind and no wifi in the room.
Review 16:A beautiful location between town and lovely beaches. The pool was gorgeous. Very quite and windy during our stay. The room was spacious and staff willing to assist.
Review 17:the hotel. the staff was too young not an adult that managed the hotel. at 6.30 in the morning the staff were so loud going in to the office that every morning i was awake from them. the room was supposed to be clean and in 4 nights 5 days it has been clean once! the day after the cleaner asked us if we wanted clean towels at 8pm... da sconsigliare vivamente. l'isola e#' bella ma l'hotel no. non fatevi ingannare dalle foto. il fuori e' molto bello ma le stanze sono vecchie, lo staff e' chiassosso la mattina prestissimo quando va in ufficio e la pulizia lascia decismente a desiderare (su 4 notti/5 giorni la stanza e' stata pulita una volta su nostra richiesta).
Review 18:the island
Review 19:The staff sent something that we had left behind onto the next island, which was kind. Hotel was comfortable, good value, great location, would highly recommend to young couples travelling through the islands looking for somewhere comfortable & clean, which also has nice public ares & a pool to hang out at
Review 20:- Paid more than 100 eur per night (normally the price for an excellent room in the Greek islands) for a room that was completely sub-standard - Awful bathroom, nothing was functioning - Rooms were completely worn out - This hotel pretends to be a 3/4 star hotel , however quality 1/2 star at most - Completely exploits the scarcity of rooms in Koufonisia to overcharge customers in peak season. - One night, we paid 80 eur for a room in a basement with a tiny window. Rooms in hostels come much better than this one. - Supply/Demand dynamics in Koufonisia are very tight, book early or you will have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a sub-standard room like the ones this hotel has to offer
Review 21:- staff was helpful - good location - decent view from reception area
Review 22:Nothing.
Review 23:Beutiful view from the balcony and pool area, quiet location, comfortable, big rooms. This hotel and its surronding is much more beutiful than on the official pictures you can see here.
Review 24:Location & Pool
Review 25:The staff were all excellent and very friendly.
Review 26:The pillow
Review 27:Location, friendly owners
Review 28:To expensive room. To expensive cafe. Broken TV. Very bad wifi.
Review 29:Ok location. Friendly staff. Transport to/from port.
Review 30:to short stay.Slow wifi.
Review 31:Simple clean rooms, nice lounge area, nice pool good location on the way to beach, and fantastic staff.
Review 32:The poor wifi signal
Review 33:The hotel location
Review 34:Staff were great! Facilities were as good as the 4* hotel.. Would thoroughly recommend Paradise Resort.
Review 35:A little bit expensive
Review 36:- service - location - Pool - The island
Review 37:Nothing all was amazing
Review 38:Everything!
Review 39:Too pricey for what it has to offer.
Review 40:The location of the hotel is perfect as it is between the beaches and the city.
Review 41:Everything was perfect - nothing to complain
Review 42:Great facility, great staff, great location, excellent view - just love this place
Review 43:Everything was perfect!
Review 44:The location! Close to port, beaches, chora. The pool area is really fantastic!(more than you can see in photos) The owner is friendly! The rooms have wonderful view! I recommend it!!!
Review 45:The breakfast was horrible, there was no hot water at 7 am in the morning, the waitress did not know her job AT ALL. Despite the niceness of the boss we will never come back there...
Review 46:The beds were quite hard. The owner of the hotel was friendly, but the other staff could have been warmer.
Review 47:We were met at the port and driven to the hotel. Our room was clean and we had a large balcony. The hotel swimming pool is a lovely quiet place to relax and the view from the terrace out to the sea is beautiful. The hotel is a short walk into town. We loved Koufonissi and would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to escape and relax.
Review 48:For the amount of money you pay for a hotel in the middle of nowhere u expect more. Breakfast was not included but the hotel didnt make that clear so eventually we were charged much more. The staff of the hotel was not existent and the three people that we were seeing all the time were rude and not polite. A goodmornibg or hello doesnt cost anything! Also the wifi is only available at the reception area. Also the hotel did not issue a receipt which is basically illegal
Review 49:The hotel was in good condition and the rooms were relatively clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a good distance for all the beaches of the amazing koufonisi island.
Review 50:Complimentary wifi didn't work work most of the time. Room was very basic for the price we paid. Shower head was broken. Upon entering the room we had to kill first 20 mosquitos before we could sleep. Also had the company of another guest in our room, a huge (and I'm not kidding) spider. So to summarize: Hotel is ok, however too basic for the price that we paid
Review 51:Good location, a few minutes walk from the port and the eastern beaches of the island. Staff was friendly and helped with our luggages. Lovely sea view with big balcony.
Review 52:*Bad WIFI. *A little bit worn down, should use some time in the winter on maintainace of the rooms. *"dirty" water in the pool.
Review 53:*Friendly staff. *Free laundry. *Close to everything (not an big island :-)). *And the view is fantastic. *Would stay here again.
Review 54:The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the manager Manolis, who was fabulous. Fantastic pool area and bar, very comfortable and very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay there very much and highly recommend this resort.
Review 55:The shower and taps were a bit knackered by the local salty water. Thebreakfast didnt have variety but they kindly served us past the closingtime on occassion. Sheets were only changed once during a 6 day stay.
Review 56:The location, pool where great. Service from Manos and Aggeliki wasexcellent and very attentive. The hotel is maintained at an ok standardand the rooms are ov ok asize with lovely verandas. Towels changed daily
Review 57:Excellent location, collected from port by minibus and taken back to port at end. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We made use of the beach umbrella when required. Would return again no question.
Review 58:The room too small for a 3 star resort with no poltrona or sofa TV set too high on the wall and no internet access in the room
Review 59:All the staff was wonderful - helpful and smiling The seafront location is excellent The verandas of the room superb The view impeccable and breathtaking
Review 60:Still feels very new compared to other accommodation on the island but not a bad thing! Needs a shower curtain as bathroom floods too easily otherwise all very good.
Review 61:Very friendly non invasive staff, good pool, great location for the beaches and great iced coffees!
Review 62:Had no complaints
Review 63:Everything manos was very helpful
Review 64:Everything! Great hotel and superb island! Manos is a very nice guy, very friendly and receptive.

Review 67:Nice people working There, Nice location, Nice beaches nearby, near town
Review 68:The beds were a little hard.
Review 69:The location is great and the staff were super friendly.
Review 70:Breakfast was only a lacarte and therefore expensive
Review 71:Within walking distance of the islands best beaches, and close to bars, restaurants and shops
