Reviews for Broom Lodge

Review 1:Rooms were cold, smelt of feet. Dusty velvet headboards & lamps. Window leaked soaking nearby clothes and blew a gale through making the room cold. No hanging space in family room. Sockets coming away from the wall. Mattress in 1 bed in family room broken in middle.

Review 2:Wonderful friendly host & good breakfast.

Review 3:I loved everything about this hotel. I had a family room and it was comfortable. Nice and warm rooms with lots of extras that made our stay better. The owner was so nice and friendly and went out her way to make sure every1 was happy and knew their way about. Breakfast was amazing with a great view of the sea. Will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future

Review 4:Warm and friendly welcome, comfortable room and 1st class breakfast. An ideal location for exploring Largs and surrounding area. Located within short walk of Marina.

Review 5:Very friendly and efficient Polish girl, Magdalena, who was very thorough in looking after us as her guests. Easy on-street parking, room small but had everything needed for a short stay.

Review 6:I'm afraid I like fresh coffee so I'm always disappointed when there's only instant. Could have done with curtains on the side windows of the otherwise beautiful top room. The little shower room was very cramped and it was impossible to fill the kettle in the tiny sink.

Review 7:The bed was amazing, large and comfy, a real treat. Nice location with the sea opposite and easy to park but not noisy. Lovely, helpful and fun host and beautiful house. We arrived quite late but she was ever so nice about it.

Review 8:shower door didnt close properly, holes in the duvet cover and cushion and we had to hang aaround on the doorstep for 10 mins waiting on someone coming to check us in - e had to call was very matter of fact and not apologetic about keeping us waiting on the phone

Review 9:location was great and service in the morning at breakfast was good. an apology was given for poor checkin service in the morning.

Review 10:Only had one working bedside light in a twin bedded room - and the one that worked was low-powered. There are still some people who like to read in bed! Otherwise no problems.

Review 11:Lots of fresh fruit for breakfast - wonderful! Warm welcome. Attractive room.

Review 12:From the moment Seona opened the door to mum & I, we were made to feel at home & nothing was too much trouble for Seona. We can't wait to go back. Will recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 13:From booking through to check out, Seona makes it personal and is an absolute joy to deal with. House is beautiful, room comfortable and location a 5 min walk from town centre. Breakfast epic! Thank you

Review 14:Our room was an attic room, it was very big but the bathroom was extremely small

Review 15:Excellent location, walking distance into town and parking available on road. Super breakfast You couldn't wish to meet a better host, she was so friendly and helpful

Review 16:Bathroom toilet handle was broken. Everything else was lovely.

Review 17:Lovely friendly staff. East check in service & amazing home cooked breakfast in the morning.

Review 18:The shine was taken off our otherwise pleasant stay by the lack of reduction in our bill as we had to cancel breakfast the evening prior to our departure. Our original booking was indeed on B&B basis, but, as we had no breakfast we expected a discount of around £ 16, which was not forthcoming .

Review 19:Mike and Seona, the owners, who were welcoming and friendly.

Review 20:Basic accommodation and nothing special.. Interior is tired and a bit shabby.. Not my idea of 4 star accommodation

Review 21:Nice location and friendly staff..

Review 22:A warm welcome awaits as does spacious and comfortable rooms. Good local knowledge from mine host was invaluable and made for a brilliant night which was followed by a very restful sleep. In the morning a very generous breakfast awaits for all tastes. Without hesitation I will be booking again!

Review 23:Plenty of quaint Scots hospitality in a beautiful setting. Fabulous breakfasts putting a diver ready for a deep down day! Its setting on the grassy knoll by the children's playground on the promenade and close proximity to the town centre makes it a must stay place in my book.

Review 24:Seona was very friendly & welcoming when we arrived. We had a couple of requests as we had a young family & she was very accomodating. We had a good nights sleep & enjoyed a varied & very satisfying breakfast. Would visit again!

Review 25:The friendlyness of Shona and her family, could not do enough for us also met really nice people while there. Also there was a great variety of food for breakfast.

Review 26:Difficulty of accessing the beach with my dog. A simple gate in the car park would make all the difference.
