Reviews for Lonsdale House Hotel
Review 1:I could hear a knocking all night of something that was moving in the wind. Certainly not the hotel's fault just mildly annoying!
Review 2:The bed was superb comfortable!
Review 3:tairs were a problem forone of us but the staff helped by, at their suggestion, serving breakfast for us upstairs saving him one flight
Review 4:the welcome, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:A fab homely hotel with great rooms close to centre of Ulverston within easy access to anywhere, great staff an excellent food and a great garden reallygood place to stay
Review 7:Plastic cups for the tap water. Wifi only in communal areas.
Review 8:Very warm and clean. Basic facilities but a very comfy bed and great breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Review 9:Don't look too closely it's shabby and overpriced. Garden was lovely but the broken furniture and fact they had no bar or restaurant spoilt the fact they didn't encourage you to sit out for fear of being locked out! Shame as clearly it was probably once thriving.
Review 10:Not as it looks online the hotel needs an overhaul for price charged. Breakfast tasted like cheapest food and although the receptionist was helpful the guy there wasn't quite so accommodating when we asked to borrow a corkscrew as the bar has shut down you would have thought we had asked for his lung!
Review 11:The hotel has no car parking but there is a long stay car park around the corner - £1 for 24 hours. It is a problem though for dropping off luggage. The hotel was also a bit noisy with other guests going to their rooms at night and in the morning for breakfast.
Review 12:Great location. Lovely staff. Nice breakfast in the morning.
Review 13:I was participating in the annual keswick to barrow walk. Staff organised a packed lunch for us to collect at 5 in morning. Also left behind a pair of trousers and they phoned to kept me know inside 30 mins of checking out.
Review 14:The first view of the Hotel was fair till you had a good look and noticed dead flowers in window boxes outside, the benches in garden rotten and all inside wants painting. The beds were so soft you felt like you were sinking and to be waken at 7.50 in the morning by loud talking staff plus who`s idea to have the tv on in the breakfast area. I think this Hotel is very over priced and is using its location as its charm so as we come to Ulverston 2 or 3 times a year we will be giving it a big MISS !
Review 15:The location to the pubs.
Review 16:I would find it a bit pricey should I be considering this for a family break

Review 46:Owners horrific lack of basic customer service Dirty Windows did not open TV did not work Uht milk curdled Wallpaper coming off walls Food was average quality Overpriced for outdated rooms Needed a good clean and revamp!
Review 47:lack of restaurant (closed some time ago) noisy outside on Friday night (pub opposite) no lift but staff organised ground floor room for my mum and also would have supplied breakfast on that floor rather than on lower floor
